Went to get ice cream on a hot Texas Saturday afternoon and there was a long line no big deal it is expected. What was not expected was the rude lady behind the ice cream counter in charge of serving the ice cream. You are expected to know what you want but they don’t have any signs to see the flavors except at the ice cream counter. I asked for a flavor they did not have and the lady was rude, snarky, and a smart alec instead of apologizing saying they were out. Had I known I would not of asked for it. She made my cousin uncomfortable as his second language is English he was so nervous to speak to her and almost did not get any ice cream at all. Also while waiting in the long line my cousin and I had picked out some candy and drinks we saw that were interesting along with some magnets. When I went to pay our hands were full along with having to grab the ice cream. However, they did not have a bag for us to carry our items out of the store in that area. I ended up paying for the magnets and accidentally left them because my hands were so full I couldn’t carry everything. I was told to go to the other side of the store and ask for a bag and when I did I was given a very small one not large enough to hold all I had paid for. I used to take all out of town family here and come with friends but never again. The other workers were very young and did a decent job but in need of training. However, that woman was well beyond older than the other workers. She needs an attitude adjustment and to wipe that scowl off her face.

My kids and nephew really enjoyed picking out Candies from here.My husband and mother got to enjoy the homemade fudge!As for me the chocolate bacon was amazing!!

Small shop- big selection.Large selection and variety of local Fudge and candies. Good fudge. The dark chocolate pecan fudge is very smooth and well balanced.Tried the hand made chocolate truffles too.So far they are more decorated truffle mass then distinguishing flavors.

A person could put on 10 pounds just by being in this store & I did a real good job of trying to do it. I really did like the different assortments of fudge & the samples 😲

The staff does not act like they want you in there. Fudge was dry. It can be hit or miss so take your chances.

A great shop to stop in if you want to truly experience the kid in a candy store feeling! The staff was so friendly and homemade fudge was being made while we were browsing! We took a few squares with us and were happy to hear they do sell their fudge online. I can imagine Ill be placing an order soon with Mothers Day coming up! Thanks for an awesome experience!

This is a tourist attraction so expect high prices. The building is really small and made smaller by the lack of organization and no directional flow. It does contain an ice cream shop and chocolate counter with all types of homemade fudge and cookies. Overall, a cute little stop to put a smile on the faces of the kiddos.

Nice small candy shop with good variety of unique candies you cant get anywhere else. We also tried two specialty chocolates which were delicious!

As expected, very expensive but that wasn’t the problem here. The girl working the counter on July 13th made my sister go to the back of the line after she told her what kind of fudge she wanted. Long line and she was extremely rude. There was no reason for that when your at the front and ready to pay.

This place has a great selection of handmade candies and fudge as well as some old-time candy favorites. Love stopping here everytime we are in Fredericksburg!

Your cashier today was extremely rude to several customers, including me. I asked for a sample of fudge, but told her I changed my mind, after she handled my food with the same gloves she had on moments before, while handling money and the register with. That would be unsanitary on a normal day, add the fact that we’re in the middle of a world wide pandemic, it’s completely unacceptable. Different gloves should be worn for handling people’s food! She loudly sighed, rolled her eyes, and then threw the piece down. The last straw was when I asked her for the toffee the other girl had on hold for me, and she slams it onto the weigh machine, all while mumbling under her breath. I had 3 others with me, ready to make purchases, but we decided we weren’t going to spend a dime in your store, after being treated that way. Fast way to lose business!

I was really excited about this place. But as we were shopping by the jelly belly display a mouse about ran over my foot! I understand it happens but this is food place and the more I looked around it was pretty dirty. I couldn’t bring myself to purchase anything for fear of mouse urine or poop being on the bags.

My family and I came to get ice cream here and the young man that served us was very rude towards my dad. My dad likes to make jokes and was joking around trying to make him laugh and ended up just treating my family worse. We will not be coming to this store anytime soon. Our day was good until we walked in toThis store. Way to ruin someone’s day.

The ladies working were very helpful and kind! They offered free samples, because they could tell I wasnt sure about what I was buying. The packaging and bagging is also very nice and neat! This is a stop Ill always make when in Fredericksburg.

Cute old timey candy shop. Have a lot of options for candy and other confections. Ice cream selection is subpar. Only homemade option was their peach and it honestly didnt taste very good. I ordered 2 scoops but the sizes are so big 1 scoop would have been fine for my husband and I.

It’s remarkable how such a little ma and pa shop can pack such a sour -punch-! Good customer service and attentiveness. The gentleman who worked the counter on 7/20/20 early evening was helpful as he told us where the nearest restrooms were from their shop. Great selection of candy and local truffles!

We as a family have always been welcome, with the pandemic my family was excited to get out and to go this favorite local spot. Jokingly my son said do y’all have local restrooms holding the sight that was on the floor that said “no public restrooms”. Leslie or Kelly rudely walk away shoving things across the counter walked away rolling her eyes and as I asked if she was ok stated, “I am fine” how are you...rudely and said do y’all have a problem. Wow!!! I said your non verbals and super inappropriate attitude tell different and asked for the manager. We began to ask for the manager or owner and she told us to get out and refused us service. I explained it was a joke, my son was joking and we gladly walked out of our favorite spot. We will never suggest this place and gladly hope they go out of business.

Management needs to teach staff proper food serving etiquette. The cashier was handling money and touching food without changing his gloves. Thats just disgusting.

The fudge flavor and variety in this place is wonderful. We always stop in when in town.

Great selection of candy but they need new employees.

A long line at the main register. I was only buying a soda and stood at the register in the back which had a sign that said, cash only (no problem, I had the cash). The employee there helped a couple of people in front of me and then when it was my turn he told me I had to go stand in that long line to pay for my soda because his register was closed. 😡 A total tourist trap, dont bother waiting in line for stuff you can find anywhere for half the price.

Nice place, very busy. Good fudge, however when we got back to our RV which was in another town, I discovered I did not receive the flavor fudge I had asked for.Update: I had given this a two star review, but am changing it to 5 star as the customer service is amazing. They shipped me an entire new order, which I really appreciated.The fudge is better than Grandmas!!!We also like to have the opportunity to buy our favorite flavor of Jelly Bellys.....buttered popcorn.

Love the candy at your store, but was completely disappointed when the girl at the register used gloves to serve fudge and take/give money.She did not remove her gloves or change into a new pair when she handled the food and money. Please talk to your staff about proper food preparation and handling. Not good that all the fudge was handled with same gloves that touched contaminated, dirty money.

Great store on Main St. There was so much to look at. There is also fudge that you can sample. Candy is from now and old fashioned candy. There is even various hard-to-find drinks. They also have Blue Bell ice cream in the back. Some chocolate and other candies are sold by the pound. The staff was very welcoming to all.

I absolutely love this place. They have delicious fudge that is homemade with unique flavors such as maple bacon. In addition they have vintage candies . Its a great place to check out if youre in Fredericksburg. I go there every time and place online orders.

Fun little place located on the main street in Fredericksburg. They have an interesting selection of candy, but the most main interest is the home made fudge. The service was very friendly and they were eager to offer samples of their different varieties of fudge.I appreciated the great service and the fudge was excellent!

It drew my husband and me in for its delectable aroma. The sign read homemade fudge. We bought their special, buy 4 bars and get 2 for free. We got 6 different flavors of fudge, and they were all super delicious. We cant wait to have more!

Used to have a lot more variety than it does now. Prices are a little high, but you can find candy here that cannot be found anywhere else. They carry things like candy cigarettes, candy buttons, and the little bottles with the chewable caps. I always stop here on my way to Kerrville.

Well, this place serves some good fudge. They have flavors that one would not really expect to see anywhere else, including cotton candy and blueberry cheesecake. This has now become one of the stops I must make whenever I am in Fredericksburg.

Chocolate covered nutty bars. Heavenly. We tried several different kinds of fudge. It was great. The staff was very helpful and nice.

I thought the fudge was excellent. Yes, its expensive, but wasnt everything in Fredericksburg expensive? Isnt everything expensive in tourist towns? I went to San Antonio two days later and the prices were just as outrageous.Anyhow, I had a flavor called something like sea salt caramel chocolate (or something like that). Now that Im home, I keep craving it. Wow -- was that delicious! I also had the rocky road -- I devoured it quickly. The fudge is really, really good. If you love fudge but youre on a budget, get just one piece. But, I guarantee -- when you get home, youll wish you had more.

Nice selection, but they were missing some items I was looking for. Its a little cramped in there. The fudge was delicious, and staff was friendly. Theyll let you sample some of their more unique items (like the chocolate covered pickles).

Cute little candy store in the middle of downtown. It is very small and can get crowded quickly. The handmade chocolate selection is small and pricey, however the chocolate covered brownies are delicious. Cold drinks are also available in the back of the store.

Soooo many amazing options! If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place to go. They have homemade fudge!!! So many flavors and reasonably priced.

When 4 employees behind the counter see you walk into their store and no one smiles or greets you, you know theres a manager whos not doing their job. I was the only person in the store at the time and walked around for a bit -- still, no one asked if I needed anything; they were all too engrossed in their own conversations. I ended up walking out of the store and down the street to another place that sold fudge. There, I was greeted with a Good morning! and a smile, and walked out with a bag of chocolates. Owner needs to train their employees how to manage the front line or fish from the employee pool and throw these 4 employees back.

My kiddos loved picking out their candy from a huge selection. The fudge was delicious.

Went inside for some rocky road fudge. We were told their wasn’t any and my boyfriend gestures to the big piece of rocky road sitting there. The younger boy then picked up the tray, threw it in the trash, and walked away. I stared shocked. Wasteful and rude. Lost our business.

Super cool place definitely has some off the wall and Innovative Confections. Along with a lot of gitche soda and candy products.

Friendly service. Free samples. Fudge is made on-site by a guy who knows his stuff. Reasonable price, too.

My friends and I stopped by Sunday. Anything you can think of to be dipped in chocolate they had there including pickles and jalapeños.

Great and fun place to get lost in finding things to make you feel young again and best of all you can share the same fun with your kids wall to wall candy.

The candy is good and its your classic novelty store when ever you are a tourist and your in a new city and you feel like spending money on candy. I was personally disappointed with their customer service. The store is run by young kids, none of which I really had a problem with. They were doing their job and doing what they were told by their manager. Their manager was uneducated in business and performed poorly when it came to customer satisfaction. My friends and I had just spent $150 plus dollars in their store. I had bought three pieces of fudge, not realizing that if you bought 4 you could get two pieces for free. Regardless of how big their sign was, it would have been advantageous had they told me that if I bought one more piece of fudge I could have gotten two more for free. I hadnt even left the store after buying my fudge when I saw their big advertisement. I asked the girls behind the counter if I could purchase one more piece of fudge and get the deal, especially since I hadnt even left the store yet. She asked her manager and her manager said no. I asked if I could get a refund, they said sure, took my bag and then asked me for my receipt. I had paid in cash, and the girls did not give me a receipt and therefore could not give me a refund. The manager proceeded to argue with me over how much my fudge cost as if that had any relevance to him telling me that I couldnt get the deal. In any event, it was just candy, and I have better things to do than to argue with a young kid over that deal that I missed out on and I left. But will I go back to this store again? No, not ever. Congratulations, Manager of the year. You were so concerned with making sure that your boss didnt get mad at you for making a deal with your customer that you didnt think about the lost future revenue that you will receive from myself and my friends in the future. We come to Fredericksburg four times a year and we will not be coming back.

It was in a good location but the people that are kind of rude Im coming from out of town and I was asking them some question like where is there a restroom and where a good place to and some question about the town and they seem like I was irritating them and I was buying something from the gift part of the shop and I ask if they can open something to make sure is not broken since it a Christmas present and they say they cant open it because if it broken they cant sell it but they were really rude after I bought it and then opened it

Things are a bit pricey, but when you desperately want chocolate, youll pay almost anything, right? Maybe. I did. I bought an orange chocolate truffle, which was delicious. Just about every candy you can think of exists here. You want a Chunky? Get it here. You want Beemans gum? Get it here. You want liquid snot? Get it here. Yep, they have a candy called liquid snot, and another called candy saliva. I wasnt about to go there.
