I took my 2006 Mercedes Benz S500 to Bavaria Auto for transmission service after shopping around for a decent trustworthy mechanic that will do a good job. I found it in Douglas the manager who not only took pictures of what was done but also saved me the old parts as confirmation. He explained everything in detail and showed me the faulty codes and compared their prices to the Mercedes Benz dealership. Although I paid more than what I original planned because of other faults that was found. Overall I am very pleased and I will highly recommend them for your German cars.
My father has gone to Bavaria Auto for years and now I know why he’s so satisfied with them! Douglas performed the requested maintenance on the car but even after that, he went above and beyond by fixing a ding I had due to a hit and run and ALSO fixed an issue I had forgotten to notify him of. I would definitely recommend him or any of his associates if your looking for good value!
Bavaria Auto is the best value for money European car repair shop in the area. I had very bad experiences with similar shops in Richmond. Doug gives you every detail of what it will take to repair your vehicle and offer you the cheapest to costly options and allow you to choose the coarse of action yo want to take. His prices are the most reasonable and level of detail he provides after his diagnostics are very revealing of his knowledge. I will not take me car to any other repair shop. I will wait on Doug.
Douglas is very professional and straightforward. He did great work, communicated clearly, and was very knowledgeable. HIGHLY recommend!
Great experience. Fair pricing. Did a thorough check on my VW. Performed necessary repair and kept me posted on things while I was at work.
I strongly recommend Bavaria Auto LLC to all European car enthusiasts. I spent over $7000 on my vehicle at another BMW & Mini specialist repair shop in Richmond and they did not fix my low fuel pressure issue. They only wanted to spend my money and replaced part after part. My car still had the same issue, furthermore, they did additional damage to the fuel system. At the end, they told me to get a new engine for my car because they could not handle the problem. On the other hand, Doug at Bavaria Auto took the time to properly diagnose and figure out the real issue of the failed junction box. I spent $778 and fixed the issue which has been a mystery to the other place called themselves Beamer Rescue. I am very happy with the service at Bavaria Auto and will definitely use them again.
Had my bmws front brake line hoses replaced here. The owner was able to fit me in next day and the work was done quickly and properly. His labor rate is 105/hr which is certainly high for an indy mechanic, but Im willing to pay that if the work is solid since we dont have many good options for bmw work in fredericksburg. Will likely do repeat business here.
I needed my front axels changed in my Audi, everywhere that I called was giving me ridiculous prices even though I had already purchased the axels, just needed someone to put them on for me. I found this place and gave it a shot. Mr. Garcia was very helpful, communication was excellent and pricing was very fair for the work they did. I will definitely be back since other people tend to be scared to work on Audi’s, he definitely knows what he was doing and knew what he was talking about.
Awesome job on my vw gti. Fair and honest price.
Douglas is the best, friendly & knows his job very well.
Bavaria Auto is superb in all respect. Professional, courteous and quality service! Douglas diagnosed my two car problems and provided clear and specific recommendation to correct the issues at a very realistic price. The work was completed in a professional and quality manner. Douglas is very honest and does not pressure you. I will be having all my auto service and repairs done by Douglas.
Professional courteous and quality servicethank you Douglas job will doneayman
I absolutely recommend this place. professional, courteous, efficient and very kind. I couldnt have had a better experience here. Thank you for taking such good care of me.
Highly recommended. Replaced my R53s clutch and flywheel and was super professional and detail oriented. It took a little longer than planned because Doug wanted to take care of a few inevitable problems with the control arms, ball joints, axle boot and MAP sensor tube. Worth. Every. Penny. Will definitely be calling Bavaria Auto next time I have any issues with my MINI.
Professional and knows what he’s doing!! Very honest guy!! Thank you
Amazing customer service! I highly recommend this place. They are friendly, honest and get the job done fast!!! Thank you again Bavaria Auto!
Douglas was GREAT. He replaced my 335i cooling system and did a great job!! Extremely honest and upfront about what it needed and was quick to return my vehicle in a timely manner. I will only use Douglas and his team going forward for my bimmer!!!
Bavaria Auto is the best BMW Auto repair shops i have every been too. They really take care of their client. The price is fair for the excellent service they provide👍 and I am very pleased with the job done. 😁
Douglas has taken care my Nissan Frontier and my Mercedes Benz 560SL since he opened his shop. He has provided excellent care for both vehicles and a great price and also willing to listen and offer knowledgeable suggestions. I have referred him to my family and postal friends in Fredericksburg, VA. Check him out, youll be happy with results!
They worked on all 4 rotors and breaks on my audi. Very professional and excellent. I will be sticking with Douglas for a long time for any repairs on my car... Thanks
While heading from NY to NC from my fathers funeral the car developed some problems. We located Doug Garcia at Bavaria Auto LLC looking for a BMW mechanic. He was competent, professional and very nice. Within 2 hrs he installed an new alternator, two new belts and had us back on the road.My father and I are greatful to him because he got us out of a real jam!
On my way from Massachusetts to Hampton for show, bad coil reared its ugly head in my 08 x3. This is my third x3 so I felt pretty sure I knew what the problem was. Called Bavarian Auto and Doug felt he could get it done for me. Arrived at 1:30 Friday afternoon the part was in stock and Doug had me on the road to Hampton inn two hours, problem solved. Many thanks to Doug for getting this done on literally no notice and getting me back on the road.
I usually dont write reviews but my experience has to be shared. I took my 05 BMW 325i in for a cylinder misfirer and brake light sensor indicator light on. The shop owner end up replacing the ECU it cost $900 for a rebuilt one of my old unit not even a new one. That took 3 weeks to get back in all my bill came to $1,500.00. I drove the vehicle and not even 7 days later check engine light and brake lights back on. The vehicle was doing the exact same thing I initially brought it in for. When i took it back the owner tells me it be another $498.00 to replace a different ignition coil and the brake light sensor was a complementary repair they did and if i want that fix properly will be another $78.00. The guy end up charging me $130.00 for a diagnostic fee to tell me what he didnt fix the first time. Please be aware this guy will run up repair bill on you. I look online and ECU brand new where going for $500 on alot of sites and they where OEM not cheap knock offs. The ignition coils were $40.00 the Bosh brand and that brake light sensor was $25.00 for front and back.
My Tiguans timing chain tensioner went destroying the engine 400 miles from home. Lucky for me it was near Bavaria Auto. After a frustrating dance with a local dealer, Douglas was a port in a storm. He was responsive, knowledgeable, reasonably priced and a pleasure to deal with. He located a used engine and did a tremendous job getting the Tiguan to purr again. If I lived in the area I would certainly be a loyal customer. My husband & I highly recommend Bavaria Auto.
I have brought my car here a few times, the owner knows his way around cars and is very honest, he also likes to educate his customers on what the problem is, how he is going to fix it and how it can be prevented in the future. I recommend this place to all my friends.
I brought a BMW 328i in for a pre-purchase inspection. I called the day before, and they were willing to accept me at the exact time I needed. The inspection was done in less than an hour, and there was a Starbucks nearby where I waited. Once the inspection was complete, I was provided with a complete walkthrough of the inspection results, including a visual inspection of the paint under flashlight! The mechanics of the vehicle checked out OK, but Bavaria Auto identified several places where the body was repaired using sub-par methodologies (bad paint, misaligned hood, etc)...implying the vehicle had been involved in one or more accidents that were not reported on the Carfax. Thanks to this inspection, I knew that the vehicle was overpriced for its condition. I chose not to buy this particular vehicle, but I will certainly continue to use Bavaria Auto if I am ever near Fredericksburg again. 5/5!
Guy was very nice and didnt try to scam us.
