Dropped in today to check out the shop and had a chance to meet Lance. I told him about my botched AHC delete/dobinsons install at LandCruiser Heaven in Maryland on my LX470. He got right under the vehicle, checked it, and had some of his guys fix it on the spot. He then gave us a tour of the shop and, quite frankly, spent a lot of time with us talking shop. You can tell his heart is in his business and I regret immensely ever going to LandCruiser Heaven. I’ll definitely be coming back here for more upgrades to the LX470. Btw thanks for the IPOR hat Lance!

I stopped by to talk to lance about basic upgrades to my Tacoma and he was very helpful and suggested I call in for a quote. Ive worked with these guys some years ago and really like their work. There was some initial confusion on communications, but I will say that Lance is a professional, he cares about his customers and all is fair.

A friend recommended the shop and I contacted them about a full exhaust install. While the install took longer to get than I was quoted, the owner stayed himself quite late into the night to finish the install, as well as cutting me a custom exhaust tip. I could have gone to some run of the mill shop, but I wanted an off-road upgrade installed by an off-road shop. Im satisfied.

Customer service was second to none, Lance and staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable in all things Landcruiser and more! 99.9 percent of the time I work on my own vehicles but life happened and I had no time to sort out why my cruiser was running rough, IronPig got it running much better and gave me an idea what will need to be done to get it running perfect. Price is VERY fair for the amount of knowledge this staff has, I highly recommend them and will take my cruisers nowhere else from now on. 10/10 would recommend

I brought my 2019 4Runner to IPOR for installation of a new lift and tires back in March of this year. The truck was not ready until a week after the original date they told me it would be, and they added extra $200 to the cost of the install from the original quote. To add insult to injury, they backed my truck into something in their shop which left my brand new vehicle with a gash on the bumper. I will give them credit for being upfront about it. Coincidentally, they offered me a $200 discount on the install... Its obvious whats going on here. Also, $1331 for a lift and new UCAs is a joke. If it takes 10 hours to install an OME suspension and UCAs, they must not know what theyre doing.3500 miles later I noticed that the tread on my front tires looks VERY uneven. I immediately took it in to my local alignment shop which agreed the alignment was poorly done which resulted in extreme wear to the insides of the front tires. After 3500 miles my Nitto Ridge Grapplers have only 6/32 tread on the inside portion, and 11/32 on the outside. Theyre basically ruined. When I contacted IPOR about the issue, the owner was extremely rude and implied that it was my problem for not having fixed the issue sooner, even after I told him I took it in for alignment as soon as I noticed the issue. When I tried to explain the situation he talked over me. His refusal to accept responsibility for incomplete work is unacceptable. He suggested that I must have hit a pothole which caused the alignment issues. Im sorry, but a pothole will not cause alignment to change that drastically. Based on the excessive wear it is clear that this alignment issue has been occurring for some time, most likely due to improper alignment by IPOR.Attached is a picture of the alignment assessment I had done once I noticed the problem.I strongly suggest that you take your truck elsewhere!!!!UPDATE:Lance,When you continually talked over me and refused to listen to me I did in fact assure you that I would post negative (honest) reviews on the web. I believe its important that people know what they can expect if they have your shop work on their truck. Learn to treat your customers (even the unhappy ones) with respect. Dont talk over me and tell me its my fault for trail abuse and that I should have identified the problem sooner. I took it in for service as soon as I noticed the uneven tread wear, so I do not appreciate the accusation that I knew of this issue for months and continued to drive on it. I paid good money for my truck and Im not inclined to drive it when there are known problems, so enough of that nonsense. My 4runner hasnt left the pavement (MD ORV trails were closed due to COVID) since yall worked on it, so the idea that it was used and abused on the trail and thats the reason for the problems is completely false. The uneven wear is consistent on both front tires. Again, for anyone wondering what happened, just look at the assessment from the shop that fixed my alignment. The settings were nearly identical on each side and were WAY off.

Work that needed to be done on my 3rd gen tundra,1. Re-gear front and rear diff ( a task already hard to find any other shop willing to do it so already Iron Pig has shown me their expert level of experience and professional work just by undertaking the job)2. Body chop ( very last minute notice on the day I was to pick up my truck)What many people think about anything regarding mechanics is that its like any other kind of work done on a truck, fast, easy, and no sweat right? Totally wrong, if you walk into any fabrication/ of road shop and give them a tall order and expect it to he done in a fast time you are kidding yourself, good work takes time and that should he expected when going to any shop at all, just my two cents being a US Navy aircraft mechanic and understanding slightly what mechs have to do for certain jobs. AnywaysThe outcome...A perfect job done by this shop, I couldnt feel more confident in their level of work and craftsmanship. The reason why this shop stood out to me was their professionalism and high drive and motivation to accomplish a job that all other shops didnt even want to deal with for me. The gear set is perfect and has caused not one single issue, and the body chop was accomplished in less than 2 hours at a last minute notice regardless. To say I am blown away by these fellow mechanics drive and work wouldnt be giving enough credit to them. I will be working with Iron Pig Offroad for the foreseeable future of any work I may need done on my truck. Thank you for the fantastic work.

Couldnt recommend them more! Needed an evaluation of a J100 I purchased spontaneously without checking it out fully. Jack put it on the lift, quickly added a few lines that were corroded, and spent almost 30 minutes talking me through what I need to do to keep it on the road going strong!

Lance and his team at Iron Pig Off Road are knowledgeable, skilled, honest and welcoming...just amazing. I recently lost my daily driver to a neighbors tree, my husband is TDY with his vehicle, I had a rental for only a short time, and I could not drive my Land Cruiser because it needed new fuel lines, down pipe, possibly overheating, etc., etc. Lance added my 80 to his extremely busy schedule because otherwise I would have nothing to drive. I dont think my truck was an easy job because of the rust. These guys got it done. I am not knowledgeable about vehicles but am trying to learn, and Lance and Jack were patient and explained things to me. Now I will use both IPOR and OTRAMM as my trusted mechanics for my vehicles when I can. They are over an hour away but are worth the drive.

I have worked with Iron Pig Off Road (IPOR) for years. They have always delivered quality work in a timely manner. Most recently I purchased a new Tacoma with the intent of fairly extensive upgrades to enhance its off-road functionality. I am an off-road driving instructor for Overland Experts (OEX) and have some distinct ideas about my Tacoma build. I researched exhaustively and also have some industry connections to make use of for some components, as well as a winch from my previous vehicle. I ordered my stuff and had it shipped to IPOR. Lance and Jack have been great to work with on this project. They have served as trusted consultants and have performed all the work on my new truck at a very high level and in timely fashion. I am beyond pleased with the quality of their service.I even had the misfortune of being hit by another vehicle and sustaining damage to my new truck with all its custom work. Lance was able to handle all the insurance issues, secure my replacement parts, and get the repairs done. Again, they delivered. In my field, I see all kinds of 4x4 vehicles with all levels of modification. At OEX, we work hard to demystify the whole off-road driving thing for people. We consult on vehicle builds all the time. The biggest area of confusion we see out there is a lack of real understanding about vehicle capability versus driver capability. This translates into unnecessary and expensive parts and modifications in lieu of knowledge. Some mods are highly effective and some are not. The folks at IPOR actually drive trucks in very difficult terrain and they build the trucks they drive. Talk to them and pay attention to them. And remember, expertise and experience are hard-won. Well-equipped shop facilities are expensive. You must to pay to play.

I had IPOR do over $4000 worth of work to my truck a few months ago. The work done included boxing the rear frame, installing a spring under axle conversion, installing hydraulic bump stops, relocating the shock mounts for 14 stroke shocks, and installing new, longer rear brake lines.Through the entire process their communication was horrible. If I wanted any updates, I had to reach out to them. I was never updated on delays or issues. They just did whatever they felt like doing to make things work. However, when they sent out an invoice, they were calling a few hours later if you didnt call right away to pay. When I picked up the truck the installer questioned why I was modifying my truck as I am and told me it would never do what I was trying to build it to do. Thats some kind of customer service. My truck was at their shop for 7 weeks. When I dropped it off, Lance told me that they were going to try to have it done in 2 weeks. The problems with the work completed are as follows:The spring perches for the SUA conversion are asymmetric on the axle. They should be equal distance from the ends of the axle, and theyre different by 3/8 which is causing the passenger side spring to be pulled toward the center of the truck. I supplied brake lines as long as suggested by the SUA conversion kit manufacturer. Apparently they were still an inch or so too short. IPOR put in a spacer between the axle and brake line bracket to make them fit, instead of notifying me of the issue, so I could get proper length lines. The SUA kit interferes with the factory exhaust, and they re-routed it out the back of the truck. This would have been fine except the way they did the rerouting looks horrible and is way too close to the rear shackle hanger. The axle shock mounting tabs are in the wrong position, so there is only 4 of uptravel before bottoming out the shock. They should have been set closer to 7 of uptravel with a 14 strock shock. Because of the extremely short uptravel, they mounted the bump stops way lower than they should have been if the shocks were set correctly.Part of the work quoted was to fabricated a brace between the new shock towers. This work was billed by not done.Ive tried contacting the owner (Lance) to get these issues resolved with no response. Ive filed CC disputes to recoup the funds, so I can have another shop fix the problems.

I wanted to post a huge thank you to Jack and Lance at Iron Pig. These guys are stand up honest guys id trust with my first born. Really passionate about what they do and take pride in their work. There was a small issue getting my lift installed which was NOT Iron Pigs fault but nonetheless they stepped up to make it right. I wouldve been more than happy to cover the time and efforts from Iron Pig as they have been huge assets to the community and have gone out of their way to help me, someone they dont even know, talk about paying it forward. As long as i own my cruiser these guys will always be at the top of my list. Again i cant thank them enough as they treated a stranger like myself just like family. Iron Pig even talked me out of spending a few gs telling me it wasnt worth it. now what company does that! if any of you guys need parts advice or work done i highly recommend iron pig, you can buy the same products from lots of different businesses but these guys gap the field with their pride and passion and committment to making the customers first. A rarity these days! Thanks again guys.

IPOR assessed my FJ62 Last May. After receiving an estimate of repairs needed I went ahead with the order. The gentleman behind the counter was not courteous in any fashion. (The exception being the owner, Lance.) I stressed that I wanted my locks re-keyed and replaced, as necessary. I received the statement of work completed and was asked to provide payment. Upon inspection of the statement I noticed the locks and exhaust were not listed (along with a few small items). I informed them I would not be making payment until i came down to see the work completed. At my arrival I stated Id like to have my locks repaired (again) and proceeded with payment. Upon completion of the exhaust and other items I received another statement of work completed. The locks were not present. I called and informed IPOR the locks were missing which again said they would look into. Eventually, the locks were completed and i received notice to pay. Upon paying I realized their rates had increased during the interval they had my truck which I paid. This would not had happened if the locks were repaired when I requested. Fast forward 6 months and I had noticed my leaf springs in the rear were cracking (old springs). IPOR replaced the springs, shackles, bushing, etc. In talking with a few experienced FJ60 mechanics we noticed the shackles were actually fabricated and not of standard size. IPOR failed to relay the leafsprings were not designed for the lift and designed replacements themselves. After this I took more detailed notice of some of the work and my rear window which was (supposed to be) fixed still does not function, and the exhaust leaks at the headers.I expected superior expertise and knowledge of the work I had completed, but instead found myself in an expensive, timely, mediocre service shop with poor communicative skills. Would not recommend.
