Service was very fast. Much appreciated. Received a service checklist but no explanation on what issues were found and what actions I should take. Would have been helpful for a car naive person to be educated on.

Needed a tire balance done quickly, walked in without appointment expecting to either have to leave it for a day or schedule an appointment. To my surprise, they did it right away for me….I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Manager was very courteous and professional. Would recommend to others.

A petite auto shop right off the highway--the guys who work there truly earn their quick, friendly, and professonal reputation. I recently moved out of state, and the place I normally went to missed an issue that I didnt have time to bring up before I left. Midas has been my go-to shop for auto repairs and maintenance for years, so on a whim I looked up their Frederick location and set up a last minute appointment. Service was quick and to the point. All in all, from the moment I walked in to when I was leaving was only about 30 minutes, if that. I wasnt even charged for the repair! Cannot thank them enough, and highly reccommend to anyone who wants honest work done on their car.

First time I had issue no other auto would repair my car without offering change everything about car for over 2000.00 bucks.i came to Midas at 1002 w. Patrick st. They gave me honest answer and great deal fix small problem that only cost 100bucks with my car.2nd time I had issue I thought it was muffler and another shop said same thing.so I came back to Midas .they told me it was something simple and not the muffler fix my car like 5mins.Noise was gone car fix.He could of took me on ride to get more money at out me and change my muffler for no reason.Very hard to find honest people in the auto field.This Midas is simply amazing

Had my muffler pipe fall off, took into the shop for estimate, The gentleman informed me since I purchased my last one there, it was under warranty which I didnt know. :-) The gentleman was very helpful in getting the muffler ordered and delivered to the shop right away. I was walking out the door an hour later with a new exhaust system. I HIGHLY recommend the shop for their service and professionalism..

Efficient staff, quick service.

This place has gone down hill with new management and new staff. Ive taken my car there for years and never had a problem. Until recently after a routine tire rotation, my car ride was bumpy and shaking. Then there were wear and tear on the tires, then i was told the shocks need to be replaced.Took my car to the car dealer for 2nd opinion and they said my shocks are fine....Its a shame that I won’t come back here and going to find a new auto place now.

When it comes to automotive repair, there are THREE things that matter: expertise, honesty and value. This location has them ALL. They corrected a misdiagnosis from another company and won a customer for life...and my family! I recommend them in every regard.

I had a very good experience at Midas today. They had a special price for synthetic oil so I made an appointment. In the meantime, I had another commitment come up an hour after my appointment time. I asked if they could be done in time and he said they would try their best. They changed my oil and rotated my tires in record time and I was on my way in 40 minutes. Great job, guys!

Id give them more stars if there were more stars to give. These guys are absolutely amazing and possibly miracle workers! My car broke down right next to their Garage while on a road trip, and seeing as my car has had a history of breaking down at the most unfortunate moment, I thought it was the end of it. No one seemed to be able to figure out what was wrong with it, but these guys took one look at it and all they saw was a challenge. They spent hours trying to figure out why the car wasnt starting, they checked every part, every connection, and they ensured that everything about that car was safe to get back on the road. They charged me a more than reasonable price (Less then we agreed at the beginning and most definitely less then they deserved for all their hard work!) and sent me on my way home. I am and will be forever grateful to this team for how dedicated they were to the situation, and for everything they did to help me out. 100% would recommend! And thank you again for all your hard work! :)

Ive been taking my cars to this place for years and never been disappointed. All these guys know is helping their customers. Genuine, honest and understanding. I brought my truck to this location to have break pads installed, I had no appointment and was in a bit of a panic mode. The Manager David assured me he could get me in as soon as possible. Im not very good at sitting and waiting so i asked him if he would be willing to call my cell when he was ready for my truck so that I could go to the store across the street to entertain my brain, David graciously agreed (he understood that my time was important too). Fast forward and my truck is in the air and I had waited too long to replace the break pads on the back axle of my truck and the rotors are scratched and need to be replaced. After David and I examined the rotors and I realized that if we put my new pads on without new rotors then it would only be a short period of time before I was in the same spot. I couldnt afford the rotors, everyone has a story and mine stems from a recent marriage separation. I may have had a small mental breakdown as I told David I couldnt afford the rotors and to just bring the truck down and Id be on my way. As David walked back into the shop I tried to pull myself together. He returned to me with multiple options and very impressively creative ideas on how WE (yes WE) could get this work done so that my girls and I were safe and had viable realistic options. I have traveled around the world and have never experienced customer service (in public, private or govt. sectors) like this before. Thanks David and Ill be back soon.

First time visiting here because I was in a pinch. I bought a 2 door version of the exhaust for my 4 door because it was a steal. Unfortunately I only found this out after I had taken my stock exhaust off. I called Midas and Dave was more than friendly and understanding of my situation. He got me taken care of immediately. No more than 30 minutes after my call, my car was on the lift. They fully converted my exhaust to fit on all my hangers and it didn’t even break the bank. Not to mention, they also painted it with a high temp paint to protect it from the elements. Living in MD, you likely know how much salt they use on the roads. Thanks to Midas I have peace of mind that my purchase is protected. I would highly recommend giving them a call.

Every time I go in here everyone is super polite. Dave took care of me this time. He was super polite and informed me of everything that would be done with my car. He also was able to tell me some tips and tricks to keep up with maintenance/warranties. By far, this is the best Midas location I’ve been to. This will definitely be my regular spot for maintenance.

I just want to publicly thank Menjou for the top-notch incredible service he provided me last night. I had just dropped off my daughter at class when the check engine light came on. I pulled into his parking lot at a few minutes after 6:00pm, and even though he was technically closed for the the day, he still welcomed me to his location, and was even willing to look at my van! After confirming the diagnosis, he was able to affect a successful remediation for me, getting me back on the road in almost no time at all. I will definitely return to his location again! We were passing through town, about to get back onto the highway when the serpentine belt in the car broke - this was noon on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.After looking online and finding few shops open, I called Midas and they were knowledgeable on the phone and helped us figure out that a locked pulley had caused the belt to snap.We had the car towed to the shop and the repair was completed in about 2 hours at a very reasonable price. I so much appreciated Dave, the store manager, and his honest assessment of the issues and not trying to gouge us on the bill. I highly recommend this shop.

Do not bring your vehicle here. I had a lifetime warranty on my brakes from another Midas and they couldnt find my warranty number. After I provided my receipt of the work from the other Midas to show the warranty they refused to honor it. The lifetime warranty they advertise isnt even real. DO NOT give them your business.

I know the manager and his crew at this shop and by far the best, reliable service around. I am very picky with my car and they are 1 of the only 2 shops in the area I trust working on my car. Today they installed tires on my car and fixed my surprise TPMS sensor issue for a great price. They do honest work and do not try to sell you car repairs you do not need like other shops. If I were you, I would take your car here for any maintenance. I have had horrible experiences at other places (one at the cost of a new engine at the shops expense) but this place I can drop my car off with confidence and not worry about it when I drive out of their parking lot.

My car battery died at the gas station right next to this Midas. I know I could have asked some random stranger for a jump, but I am shy and felt more comfortable asking at the Midas. Someone there was happy to bring a little battery pack over and jump start it, and didnt even charge me for it. I didnt get your name, whoever you were, but thank you! You made a really good impression. :)Update: a few months after the above battery incident, my car was running badly and needed diagnosis and repair. I tried the Pep Boys down the road, twice, but they refused to look at it without an appointment, and then refused to honor the appointment after I made one. So I went back to this Midas, and they were so great! A little bit expensive, with the $100 diagnosis fee, but they looked at it immediately, and as soon as they found what was wrong, brought me into the service bay to show me exactly what it was (a blown ignition coil and consequent messed-up spark plugs and wires). I approved them to fix it and they went to work on it right away. It was done within a couple of hours. For service like this, I dont even mind paying their diagnosis fee.

Went in for a tire swap and experienced great service! The manager, Dave, the assistant manager, MJ, and the rest of the technicians were kind, professional, thorough and prompt. Others in the waiting room were raving about the customer service as well. One woman said shed been using them for over 10 years. Im not from the area - was traveling to be with our daughter for the birth of her 5th child. Brakes went out on my truck. Midas in Frederick, MD took my vehicle right in, checked it out (needed a rear axel brake line), knocked out the work, and even gave me a military discount. These guys are the best! My only complaint is that I cant give them more than 5 stars.

The Staff is polite and answered all my questions with patience.The best thing is that they saved around $200 and provided the best service.

Awesome Guys! I have serviced my vehicle at this location 3-4 times now, just coming in for basic oil changes. They once waited an extra half hour past the normal time they accept cars because of where I work. The bolt for my oil drain had been stripped and these were the only guys in town that would take care of me and they wound up replacing it for me on my last visit. I had my oil changed last weekend. And I have to say that Dave and his crew are the sweetest guys I have ever met! My exhaust had been falling apart forever and Dave came out to ask if I knew that it was broken. After I told I had he gave me the best price to fix it. Most people were telling me close to 300. It was really great to have someone work so hard to help get my car running smoother and sounding better.

I have had issues with being able to trust the people whom have worked on my car, however I have been to Midas on the golden mile several times now. I am a repeat customer because the prices for an oil change is reasonable, and when you talk to MJ or the kind manager (forgot his name sorry) they were extremely upfront and honest. They always seem to find a way to fit me in quicker than the estimated wait time! In general I know that they arent trying to rob me with unnecessary costly repairs. Awesome place, awesome down to earth staff and awesome prices!!! Thats why I keep coming back, you should at least give em a try !!!!

David is professional. I have been a customer for over 6 years. They service 5 of our vehicles for brakes, and exhaust, as well as engine work. Many of their parts are guaranteed ( both limited and lifetime), and their work is super professional. They do not try to do work that is not required. You have to be clear at what you need done. I would also study the policies of Midas if you want to take full advantage of their services.

Buyer Beware!!! Horrible HORRIBLE experience at Midas in Frederick. They did work on our cars suspension and the car got way worse. In the words of the mechanic Jimbo at the store, it was a death trap and should never have left their shop in that condition. Over the course of several more weeks we tried to get the repairs done correctly and at a reasonable price (after already spending $1200 on shoddy work). They kept saying they were discounting things when in fact they were squeezing us on the labor costs and trying to hose unknowing customers. They finally refused to do the work which they screwed up, so we had to invest more money to get the car into a safe driving condition. Funny enough there was another customer in the store at the same time who was having the same kinds of issues. The store manager actually told me that we should be happy that we are getting such a GREAT discount. That was the point when we lost it. Customer service here is horrible and the mechanics are about as bad. Skip this place at all costs!!!!!!

So where do I begin my car wouldnt shut off even after turning it off and removing the key the engine would still run so after going to 4 other mechanics one being jiffy lube which I was turned away and told to take it to a shop because they would have to take things apart (guess jiffy doesnt really work on cars) I made my way to midas my last mechanic of the day MJ and I believe his name was Davey were able to just unplug my amp and voila my car finally turned off. Thanks guys

I have used Midas’ services on three occasions & all 3 experiences were stellar! I stopped once to have them inspect an unusual car sound, which they did at no cost. Then, I previously had to have my timing chain replaced. They made the service as economical as possible - way more affordable than the dealership!! Today I stopped because my headlight was askew and it turned out the light bulb wasn’t situated correctly. The very nice employee fixed it quickly and easily. I send all of my friends to Midas!!

Excellent service and staff.

They were easy to deal with, gave me the exact same price when I called three different times for estimates, and stuck to the time they quoted. They helped me get the the absolute best price for tires. Then, they had my them changed, my brakes replaced, rotors machined, and a full alignment done in two hours. They even cleaned the brake dust off of my wheels. The guy working in the front (David, I think) is very personable and he answered all of my questions. Ill be back for all future services that Midas offers as well as recommending this location to my friends and family. This place is something special. They nailed it.

Dave, the store manager just saved my bacon.I was on my way to Annapolis, with my kids and my 72 year old mother in the van, when the damned thing overheated.I pulled into Midas, and Dave came put to take a look. He quickly found the culprit, a restrictor valve on my heater hose blew out. He let me a pair of channel locks to remove the part, let me leave the van in his lot, and even let my mother relax in his waiting room while I fetched the part from a parts store, across the street. He even helped me bleed the air out of the lines after I got the new part installed.A1+++++!Salt of the earth!

Quick and Efficient. The team at Midas replaced the entire exhaust system on my Toyota Corolla. The team gave me a full estimate, explained why I needed the work done, and gave me a better price than the competition. My car was ready ahead of schedule. Best of all they did not suggest un-needed work just to boost up the ticket price like other shops do. My baby is quiet as a mouse now... and has a warranty to boot!! I went to Midas to get my muffler fixed, I had the new one in my car so all they had to do was put it on, so I thought ! Only to find out they said my tail pipe was Swiss cheese this according to the manager,I had my transmission flushed that was good,the manager told me they could fix the exhaust for $360.00 he told me I needed a new tail pipe and that the pipe was Swiss cheese his words to me !I took my truck for a second opinion and trick trucks in Fredrick fixed the problem for under $70.00, Midas has lost me as a customer,I thought I would give them a chance but they are not as concerned about the customer at all,its all about the $$$ I saved tons of money with trick trucks, they are very professional!!

Made an appointment with an employee over the phone on Friday for 11 am and then I showed up and I’m not even in the system. I love their work and honest service but this is kinda annoying.

MJ and the other reps were so attentive! Addressed all my concerns and was able to find a solution in a timely manner!!! Definitely would recommend to anyone in the area!!!

I had an aftermarket exhaust installed on my vehicle which required a simple welding modification. I was given a quote of $150 from this place. I humbly thanked them for their time and left, in NO WAY was I going to pay that amount. When I got back to my home state I got the work done for less than $50. Rip Off.

I paid over $60 to have the synthetic midas maintenance package. They only changed my oil, they did not rotate my tires as they should. After bringing this to their attention, they went out of their way to help correct the problem and not lose my business. Great customer service!

My van was damaged badly after hitting on the curb. The guys in Midas Frederick inspected it carefully and provided a reasonable estimate, The manager Menjou Claggett on his own offered some coupons to decrease my expense. After repairment and alignment, I could drive my van like before. They are professional and polite and make Midas Frederick my garage in the future.

I am a stickler for service and David and Midas did not let me down. I came in with a screw in my tire and ended up with almost a catastrophic event on my hands with one of my other tires. Fantastic customer service. I have been a customer of the Frederick Midas for two years and I have never been disappointed. I have often had auto repair shops try to rip me off with unnecessary repairs, not this Midas. If you are not knowledgeable in auto repair you can actually trust the staff to honestly evaluate the damaged components in your vehicle. If you are willing to stick around they will show you the damaged parts in your vehicle and explain why they need to be replaced. The pricing is also very competitive. I highly recommend this shop.

Consumer, beware of the Midas unconscionable fees. The initial estimate they gave me for the cost of the repairs to my vehicle $2,604.91. When I declined, they provided me with a second estimate in the amount of $1,400.00. Initially, I agreed to have Midas perform the repairs set forth in the second estimate. However, while in the waiting room, I searched the cost of repairing and replacing exhaust systems on the internet using my phone. The search showed costs which were significantly less. My auto mechanic confirmed the price was unreasonable.Midas refused to release my car until I made arrangements to have the car towed and paid them $100.00 for 15-20 minutes of service.Perhaps as an act of revenge, Midas called the Frederick Police Department. The two police officers who arrived and agreed that I was entitled to change my mind. Their initial thoughts were the Midas estimate was unreasonable and confirmed this by using the laptop in the police car to search the internet.My own auto mechanic later repaired my car for $960.51 and the quality of work was outstanding as usual.

1st you go there to ask for a simple oil change they allways have no time for you .. then you call in the morning they put u on hold for 10 mnts and then they say no we have no spot for oil change .. I did not know that oil change is this hard and dangerous Lol .. come on guys this what drive business down to the ground .
