Talk about an awesome experience and history lesson! I highly encourage you to take 10 steps outside near the south of the building. You’ll see a small little shack that has Bob, the black smith in it! Bob hasn’t been a blacksmith his whole life, he mostly does it for the enjoyment of it and to spark peoples interest in the ancient art of black smithing! He’ll give you a small little demonstration, as you can see in our video he made a lead that he’s going to use with a flower bouquet!
Visiting Franklin Forge was an awesome experience! The blacksmith, Bob, was extremely kind and knowledgeable. He even offered to do a quick demonstration (it was super cool). There are numerous handcrafted items for sale. Stopping by Franklin Forge is a must of you are in the area. Also, the Forge is kid friendly!
This place is great! We usually stop by Saturday mornings during the farmers market and Bob is always super friendly and willing to do a demonstration. All of the pieces of work are unique and beautiful and there always seems to be something new when we go. Definitely worth checking out!
