I brought my flute to get it cleaned, they said they would call me to confirm the cleaning I need but they didnt until two hours before I picked it up. I picked up a rental and they told me that I could get back the money once I brought the flute back, the flute rent is $30 a month so I confirmed that if I only used the rental for 2 weeks I would get my money back that I didnt use so about $15. I didnt they said they couldnt give me back my money. When I finally got my instrument back I checked it to make sure everything was ok, it wasnt my head piece of my flute was all scratched up. The lady told me that it was normal to not see the scratches and when the cleaning was done you could see it more clearly, but I know it wasnt scratched since Ive only had this flute for a few months and Ive never dropped it, or hit it against anything to cause these scratches. Over all the costumer service was decent but I dont feel I would trust them with my instrument for a cleaning or anything again
We had a flute that was in bad need of repair, including a full pad replacement. M&A were so helpful and accommodating. The flute looks nearly new. I’d highly recommend them.
Excellent service! Good selection of stuff you need as a brass or wind player. Prices on repairs for wind instruments are very competitive.
Thank you Morgan for setting me up with the violin strings.
Not going to spend money at a place that treats every customer as though they are sick! No mandate in the county for masks...you lost a customer forever!
Prices are too expensive. I bought a music book here that cost $55 when I could have bought the same book for $20 on Amazon. I also bought a flute here and I bought one that clearly had something wrong with it. I brought it to the staff who refused to change the flute and said that they could fix it in a few days while I needed it in less than 24 hours. They even gave me a filthy flute to substitute my other flute during this COVID season. I don’t recommend coming here.
I was immediately greeted by Christian at the Cool Springs location. He was very friendly and extremely focused on finding me EXACTLY what I was looking for. I had a ton of questions and he was able to answer all of them with confidence. The store was very clean and I noticed the new layout which made the place look so much better than before! If you want big store prices with a mom and pop feel, I would highly suggest going to see Christian at Music & Arts in Franklin. I will definitely be back!
Good prices, but the staff are not very friendly/helpful. Ive only been there twice, different employees each time but they were very dismissive.
We had a great experience buying a guitar here for my daughter! The staff was extremely helpful. The prices were great and we were able to take advantage of some great sales. They were quite busy but they made sure to take care of us as quickly as possible. We will definitely be back!
Bravo to the Music and Arts Cool Springs staff! I was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming and helpful everyone was. Recently, I dusted off the old guitar and wanted to add a fresh set of strings. Last Saturday I stopped by Music and Arts with my 3 young boys in tow. I was just hoping we could get in and get out quickly with out breaking anything. I was warmly greeted by multiple folks who quickly got me where I needed to be. As Im checking out, the staff was going out of there way to be friendly and engaging with my boys. I really appreciate that!! After seeing all the cool products and demos we ended up hanging out for a while. The store was clean and felt like new. My boys had a blast! This staff at Music & Arts GETS IT! Thank you!! Well be back soon.
Nice selection and helpful, friendly staff.
Got there bright and early and was greeted by a very kind employee. He fixed my instrument quickly and gave great advice for future maintenance.
Christian and Dino are really fantastic, and boy do they know their stuff. We had such a positive shopping experience at Music & Arts. Theyre not pushy sales people at all. We bought a pro level Yamaha Sax from them and absolutely love it!
I must say from the moment I walked in I was greeted by a wonderful gentleman who was extremely friendly and helpful. The store was clean and well organized, very easy to find what I was looking for. The dashing gentleman that helped me, who was quite the flute player if I do say so myself, thanked me for coming in as I was leaving. I believe his name was Killian or Kyle maybe but either way I will be going to music and arts for all my music fancies!
Thank you for the amazing re-structuring of your store !!! I can now see my way into and through your many amazing offerings, and I know and remember where my teaching helps and my favorite Faber and Schirmer resources are located !!! The store feels much more breathe-able and friendly. I can now shop around without feeling claustrophobic or locked and hidden from your employees by walls of strangely arranged shelving. This creates immediate eye contact and conversations with your employees, to help me talk about and find my products I want to buy. I can see them, they can see me, and they are, by the way, wonderful people. Thank you for your rearrangement, Music & Arts. Fresh and open. My kind of music store... !!!
Update.....I though I would give them one more try and went in again...MISTAKE! The guy was very rude and not friendly at all. Didnt care if I got anything or not. They look at you like to say (why are you here). So Im done here.So I have been a pianist for 45 years and in the last year I have picked up violin. I didnt by my violin here but have come here to buy accessories from time to time. That day I had been out working in my yard and was out and decided to run by and purchase a violin mute ...Well I walked in and was immediately looked at with some kind of Suspicion. I felt like because I had my work clothes on I didnt fit the look of a violinist. I was treated like a fool and was look at like I was there to steal something or beg for food or something. I hate this happened but I will never spend my money there again...you can never judge a book by its cover... and sometimes you cant tell a musician is a musician till hes behind his instrument.
Went in with my family to rent an instrument for school. A young lady helped us get our flute and all the required supplies. She was inscredibly helpful and quick on her feet! We were in and out in 30 minutes!
I went in looking for a couple different guitar strings and was helped right away by a very kind gentleman who was knowledgable about each brand and very helpful beyond the basic knowledge. Ill definitely be back for any needs I have!
I was 100% satisfied with my experience. The manager, Christian, was extremely helpful, knowledgable, and courteous. I am pleased with my purchase and the superb customer service that I received. I definatley recommend the Franklin, TN Music & Arts shop and plan to revisit it in the future.
They were pretty rude while we asked for what we needed. One of the main guys there was extremely dismissive. We wont be going back.
Great people who love music and really just want to make things as easy as possible for you. I have been to this store multiple times and my experiences have all been consistent.
Yeah.... I hate to give bad reviews, but this is NOT the best place to shop for instruments or gear. Theyre over-priced, often dont have staff who are well-versed on all instruments (for ex., I brought a guitar in for a quick set up last weekend and they didnt have a tech who could do it unless I left it with them for a couple of days; another time I popped in to get some drum hardware and they didnt have anything I needed in stock--again, they offered to order it and have it for me in a few days). Fact is, now that theres a Guitar Center in Franklin on Moores Lane, theres really no reason to patronize this place AT ALL (and this new Guitar Center is staffed by some REALLY nice, super skilled fellas, without the standard issue attitude that seems to come with a job at their Nashville store). If you happen to be driving by Music and Arts and need some strings or a capo in a pinch, youre probably OK--though both will be a buck or two cheaper at GS).
Great staff will go out of their way to help you THANKS
They were under renovation when we visited, but were very friendly and helpful, even apologizing for condition of the package, as the only harmonica in key we needed. Definitely recommend!
Looks good and they do price match.
Reading the reviews... I want to say to the guy with the bad attitude that Music & Arts and Guitar Center are the same company. Some folks from GC look to where they can help even more folks on different levels. Nashville is a great place for that with all the music businesses here. Some of those GC sales staff even move to Music & Arts. Yes, this store that you have issues with is managed by a former GC sales manager (Kyle), and 2 of the other guys (Shane and Josh) were also in management at the Nashville store. They worked together there and now at Music & Arts. They are all seasoned vets and musicians and know how to get things done right, providing amazing customer service. It is easy to see that they like what they do. They run the store like its their own. I like that Mom & Pop feel. That is why its my store of choice. They have my trust and I send my songwriter and musician friends there all the time. They take the time to learn about what you need and dont over sell. They teach you about gear and they are not so pompous that they BS you into buying something you dont need. The store has music playing, but its not loud. They try to influence young kids with fun and discipline when it comes to their craft. It may take months for a parent and child to figure out what instrument is a match, but there is no pressure. My friends daughter stayed for a half a day, playing different instruments and talking to staff and teachers. She walked out the door without an instrument...and zero pressure that day. That is why she went back. The vibe in this store is amazing, possitive and full of great advice from experienced staff and teachers. They have recitals and open mic, allow folks to jam and if all their work is done, they may join in for a lick. One night, weather was bad and the shopping center was dead. I ran in there and Shane and Josh were spending time playing guitar with a young student who was waiting for lessons. They are both experienced players, but told the young boy that he should lead! I had to stay and watch them pump this boy with encouragement! You wont find that at GC! And did you know they can get stuff that you see in Guitar Center? How awesome! They will look online to make sure you get the best deal, too! I recommend it for all your gear.
No soprano saxophone!!
