In 5 years I’ve bought 6 pairs from them. My first pair were Ballroom shoes. Then I started West Coast (seriously) and I went straight to John and Patsy for my first pair. My last purchase was for my first love, country. My boots are like wearing a glove on my feet.If you can’t go to Franklin you can buy online or look for them at your next event.

I have picky feet. They are narrow, especially in the heels, and the pain that my ballroom shoes caused me when they were tight enough to stay in place (but not really) was only outmatched by my love of dance. One of my dance instructors noticed the marks and blisters on my feet and let me borrow a pair of her shoes for a competition. They happened to be made by Dance Shoes of Tennessee. I have never danced better than I did that day when I wore shoes that moved with me instead of against me. They were narrows, and had been custom-made. I contacted them as soon as I could and made a point of visiting them on my way home from Alabama. I live in Texas. That is how desperate I was. The process was so smooth; John and Patsy knew exactly how to make sure a shoe would fit my foot correctly, down to the proper style of shoe, and when I got my shoes in the mail, I was so happy! These are more comfortable than most of the heels I own. My only regret is that I cant wear them everywhere. My dance partner and I won so many blue ribbons the next year that I lost count of them. I can honestly say that Dance Shoes of Tennessee made dancing fun for me again.

BAD BUSINESS WARNING!Avoid this illegitimate business.. The order was Placed on May 25th - I heard nothing for weeks. When I checked back in June 25th they still had not started the order (lost in their system). When they finally arrived (over a month LATER) - two RIGHT shoes were delivered, with damage to the top cuff of one.accidents happen, Im sure we can get this figured out over the phone. I thought as I called, but upon finally getting one of their agents on the phone, was promptly hung up on.During the subsequent conversation I was told, Im sure youre not perfect either by their agent as I calmly tried to describe what I was sent.I was offered no apology or remedy for their mistake and poor service. Left feeling sorely disappointed to have to leave a poor review but I hope it saves others from going through this headache in the future.*update! * after sharing the experience on social media, one of the founders of SwayD, Geoff Pan, reached out directly and explained that this business is a reseller and cant be counted on for quality items. He was willing to replace my boots free of charge though!It always pays to do business with brands directly whenever possible!Thank you Geoff, for being such a stand up business owner when other businesses dont hold up their end of a deal!
