This is my second visit. The staff was really nice with my 7yr old daughter. Doctor prescribed drops for her eye allergy and she found some relief. Also helped with yearly checkup. Front desk was patient enough to review my insurance details. Good varieties of frames but could have more for young ones. The entire team is friendly, timely and efficient. And of course the place is clean and sanitized. I would definitely recommend this place!

We have been going to the Cool Springs Eyecare Plus for several years and have always been treated by friendly and knowledgeable professionals in a quick and timely manner every single time. It begins at the front desk as you arrive with nice ladies who get you signed in quickly and continues with the doctor exam within minutes of arrival. She was nice, answered all our questions and took great care of my son. We were able to get the exam, order glasses and be out in less than an hour. I highly recommend Eyecare Plus Cool Springs!!!

Dr. Harris and her team were incredible. Warm and friendly and very service oriented. Dr Harris was knowledgeable and explained everything to me. I love this place and have always had great experiences here. We have seen 2 different doctors and liked them both. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. The office isnt crowded and masking is very good. They have more advanced equipment and capabilities than other places Ive been to and can catch problems early before they turn into bigger problems. My kids like being here, too, which is a huge plus for me, and they dont discriminate against Medicaid patients (or even grumble about it) like other places do. Definitely recommend!

This place and Staff is amazing. They have very professional service, and doctor Harris is very kind! They explained everything with superb detail, and replaced my lenses very quickly! They explained insurance benefits in details and provided most economical prices for different specifications. One of the best places I have ever gone to! I have gone here for almost 2 years, and the service was nothing but amazing! There was amazing varieties in the frames, and me, my daughter, and my husband all found the glasses that we love. On top of that, they explained insurance coverage very well. I absolutely hate going to the eye doctor, but Eyecare Plus changed that. Dr. Harris was patient, kind, and did not make me feel bad about being anxious. Her calm demeanor was the best Ive seen of any doctor Ive ever been to. I ended up needing reading glasses and was able to get some great frames. My vision is already so much better and Ive had less headaches since I started wearing them. Thanks Dr. Harris!

The doctor was solid, staff friendly but getting into the parking lot can be a huge hassle with the car Inspecton place next door often blocking the driveway (like 15 min wait).Billing department needs to be cancelled-got a call today for $14 from a June visit. My correct address is on file- they claim to outsource billing who sent out 3 bills but never got any.

I’ve been going to Eye Care Plus for 4 years and have had great experiences! They have walked me through getting glasses and contacts for the first time. The staff are friendly and caring. They explain the options to you and help you feel comfortable throughout the visit. I really love the annual reminder to make an appointment, I receive a text and email when it’s time for my annual eye exam and the. I can easily set my appointment quickly online. I usually get an appointment the same week. The schedule is very flexible with a variety of times to meet my busy life. They are not pushy but help me learn about my options. Great experience again and again! Doctor Harris is wonderful.

Avoid at all costs, first off it can take 10-15 minutes to pull into the drive way since it gets blocked from the cars lined up to get into the Inspection.Just got a call saying I owe a nominal fee 104 days after my visit Im fine paying the fee but dont tell me you sent 3 bills at the correct address and I received none,

Ive been going here for 4 years and recently changed my optometrist after Eyecare Plus billed me an unexplainable charge, 6 months after my appointment with them. When I went to my new optometrist, he told me Eyecare Plus had diagnosed my prescription WRONG for the past 4 years! They had overpowered my prescription which I knew felt wrong. I wouldnt recommend going here.

I would NOT recommend using this facility or Dr. Taylor Harris at the Cool Springs location in Franklin, TN under any circumstance.They were very inconsistent with their communication. Dr. Harris charged us $120 for attempting to put one contact in my 12 year old sons eye after the tech told us they would not charge us since they only tried three times to place one contact in his eye. They also kept the pack of contacts (10 days) to use on other clients and charge them on what weve already paid for. That was straight from Dr. Harris mouth. Very disappointed in such terrible service and charging us for a very inept service!Go anywhere but here if you have children that need eye services in Franklin, TN. It was T E R R I B L E.

I have been waiting on my glasses for two weeks now. Happy I still have my old pair. I was told my glasses would be in within 7 days. I called to check and was told the manufacturer shows they are still working on them. Not happy paid more than what I wanted and don’t have my glasses. I am very disappointed by their bad operation and unprofessional customer service.Went in there for my eye exam. After it, I asked when and how I could get my prescription. They did not give me any clear instruction. Instead, they kept telling me to call back and indicated that I should order my contacts through them.In the next few days, I tried to contact them several times, but no one picked up the phone. When they finally replied to my email, they said they could not provide my prescription via email, and that I could pick it up at any time. However, when I stop by the clinic, the front desk lady only gave me a copy of my glasses prescription without doctors signature, which was useless!Then they told me that I could stop by again at any time to get my contact prescription, but when I went back again, they told me I had to wait for at least one hour because my doctor was out for lunch.So I had to visit the clinic for the fourth time. This time I was asked to try some contacts as a follow up exam. However, the sphere number of those lenses were absolute off. When I brought this up to the assistant, she said that they were correct. Then I asked her to check with the doctor, the assistant came back said the lenses were correct and maybe my vision had changed (excuse me?!). I insisted to talk to the doctor who did my eye exam. When she (Dr. Harris) showed up, she said she was not my doctor, and these numbers were correct, and that I need to speak with my doctor. I was completely speechless about their response and asked them to pull out my information from the system. It turned out that they had mistook me for another customer because they never bothered to verify my information!I was very upset because so many hours had been wasted during the process. They could have done much better or at least sincerely apologize for messing up my profile, but all I got was a cold “I’m sorry” from the front desk lady. The doctor left me alone to speak with other people and said nothing to me. As a customer, I felt extremely neglected and I will never come back again.

My experience was great! My appointment was scheduled on a Saturday afternoon. The entire experience was a very pleasant one. Everyone was friendly and professional from the the front desk receptionist to the one helping me pick out my frames. Any test that was ran, I was asked beforehand. It only took about a week for my glasses to come back. I also recommended this location for my sister who just had her appointment today.

Right off the back I was greeted with smiles, Cheyanne was very thorough and informative before and after the visit. Sarina took me back and examined my eyes, she was so kind and helpful! At the end of the visit I got to look at glasses and Jennifer helped me pick the perfect pair of glasses for me! She was full of knowledge and helped me with pricing that fit my budget. I would recommend Jennifer when picking glasses, she was very professional! I am so appreciative of the staff and all they did for me!

I have been going here for years with nothing but good things to say about them. However, they changed ownership a while back and since then I have had nothing but trouble.I see lots of reviews complaining about the staff at the reception desk. Ive never personally had any issues with them. MY issues are with the lying. I went in a little over a year ago for my annual check up and to get my contacts renewed. During my check up, the Doctor said she was concerned with some of the films of my eyes. She was worried I had Glaucoma, and needed me to come back in a week to do some more testing. Which would be covered by my insurance. Okay as a 21 year old if you tell me Im showing the early signs of possibly losing my vision, Im going to be pretty freaked out. So I go back and do the tests, and never heard anything from them. Then I get billed nearly $300. Because now suddenly, my insurance doesnt cover it.I have been dealing with the doctors office AND collection agencies for nearly a year now, fighting it. Because I was lied too. And as a young and single mother I dont have a spare $300 to throw in the trash. Upon reading the other reviews I see Im not the only one this has happened to.I have spoken with an ex employee there who actually left because she was uncomfortable and upset that they were doing this to patients. Funny thing is, when she told me this story she originally didnt tell me the name of the office. I asked her if it was Eyecare plus and she confirmed.

I recently left my long time eye doctor due to poor customer service and long wait times. I was pleasantly surprised with your office. Easy to make appts online. I was greeted warmly at the front desk, then directed to fill out paperwork on an iPad. I was seen promptly. All staff was courteous. The doctor answered any questions I had and took her time. They are scam artists! We’ve used them many times in the past and today they tried to tell me the lenses my wife needed would be an additional $290 additional to the $197 my insurance would cover! So basically telling us her lenses were $500 just for lenses! I’m in shock since her vision is typical nothing unique required so unless theses are X-ray lenses there’s no logical reason they would be $500 for lenses alone!!! Needless to say we’ll be taking our prescription and buying glasses elsewhere! So sad they tried to get us to overpay so significantly for average lenses

DO NOT GO HERE! Awful staff. The optical area ladies are utterly clueless about good customer service means. They seem to hate their jobs and people.Here is my experience:My first check up was this past Saturday, Jan 5. After learning my prescription had changed, I decided to pick out a new set of frames at their practice.Today, Wed, Jan 9, I went to pick up my prescription glasses and requested their help adjusting the new glasses as they sat crooked on my face. The girl manually adjusted my glasses and handed them back to me. As I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw the staff lady roll her eyes because the glasses were still crooked. After a couple more unsuccessful tries at adjusting the glasses, and dealing with unwilling, unfriendly ladies, I decided to take the glasses and go back to work. I gave the new frames another try while at the office and the glasses still awkwardly on my face.I tried to return the glasses same day and was informed that their policy states that they must keep a 30% restocking fee. Now I am stuck with glasses that don’t fit straight on my face that they can’t fix.I am never giving these people my business again. Do yourself a favor and go to another provider. You will be glad you did.

I went to this clinic to pick up my childs new glasses and have eyes checked. My child left the new glasses in the test room. We asked the front desk to look for it. They told me that everyone in the clinic were looking for it and cant find it and I have to order new glasses and pay for it again. I asked that I will go to the room and look for it, they refused and they told me that I have to wait with my child in the lobby until end of the Clinic hours, thats when they want to close. They made me wait for more than 3 hours, during this time I was asking that it will not take more than a minute to check the room. They insist and refused. I couldnt take it anymore I told them that I have to check the room when theres no patient in it or Im calling police that the glasses were stolen. Finally they let me in and I found the glasses on the floor next by the doctors desk. I regretted that I was waiting and respecting bunch of idiots and disrespectful people who are blind with their eyes and brains, that all of them looked for glasses in that room and cant find it. It didnt take me 3 seconds to find it. I wonder how they help patients with their eyes and they cant see themselves!!

First visit was easily a 5 star. Second was a no star. Heres why...I have some issues my optic nerve (fairly common). The first visit explained this and had a Q&A with some tests. The second visit was 10 minutes, 4 extra tests. Heres the kicker - I only learned this via billing and when I pushed to understand why I had these additional tests and costs ($230 more), the receptionist advised it was because the doctor suspected I had glaucoma (LOSS OF VISION, PEOPLE) and some bleeding in my eye. I freaked out and demanded to speak to the doctor because I didnt understand my eye issue was jeopardy for blindness (NOT cool). Going on 1.5 hours of holding for the doctor. The receptionist keeps trying to pass me off to other billing people to avoid talking to the doctor. Best of luck!If you do have to go here for your insurance, ask the right questions and pepper the doctor to understand what each test is for because the tests occur before you see the doctor.

I am dissappointed to some degree with my interactions with this company. This morning I went back to the eye doctor I have been seeing for years. The reason I tried out his doctor is that is close to my house. Eyecare Plus misdiagnosed my contact prescription. The only reason they are not getting a one star is that I do not think this was intentional. The next part is what disturbs me. I went back to my long time doctor because I was told at eyecare plus that I had the early onset of Glaucoma due to pressure readings being off in my left eye. I was advised to come back and subject myself to something called VEP testing. They will advise you that this test is not covered by eye insurance so they will need to file a claim with your health insurance. I did the testing and that is when I was diagnosed with glaucoma and asked to come back in may for further testing. Due to my misgivings about my prescription and being concerned with my Glaucoma diagnoses I decided to go back to my old doctor. My old doctor claimed that he has seen numerous patients in the last couple years (one as young as 12 years old) get the same diagnosis from Eyecare Plus only to run tests and find no signs of Glaucoma. This is a practice of ordering unnecessary tests in order to make a profit off of insurance claims. If there is a Glaucoma diagnosis you can run mulitple expensive tests. I strongly recommend that if you are a patient here or are getting an exam to get a second opinion if you are approached with anything relating to eye pressure or having tests done that are not covered by eye insurance.

I was given a very comprehensive eye exam, which I truly appreciated. I was tested for several things to include glaucoma . Some of the test came back inclusive, and I was given a second appointment to retest. When I discovered my insurance would be billed a 2nd time for the same test I declined to be retested. I have to say all in all I had an excellent experience with the Dr. and the exam staff, however the two ladies in the optical department treated me as if my presence offended them. I wasnt impressed with any of the frames at the Cool Springs location, but instead of the optical staff assisting me they (one in particular) just starred at me as if she was trying to shoot darts at me with her eyes. I made the young lady aware that I was standing in front of a mirror and was aware of the way she was staring me down, she dropped her eyes and head and wouldnt acknowledge that I had addressed her. The short, I would highly recommend the Cool Springs location for an eye exam, but be prepared to deal with the two ladies in the optical department not offering much help.

I went here on a family recommendation for an annual exam. I specifically requested just a basic exam and asked that they please not charge me for anything extra. When asked if I wanted a special test or the dreaded dilation, I requested dilation as this is part of the basic exam at no additional charge. They performed a chargeable test anyway and billed my medical insurance which triggered a $40 copay.When confronted with the discrepancy the response was, in effect, “too bad.” If Eyecare Plus will simply write off the amount of my copay, I would consider using them again. If not, my business and my money will shop elsewhere.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. This office is in the practice of lying to patients about procedures necessary and insurance coverage in an effort to make more money.At the start of my visit, I told the tech I did not want my eyes dilated or pictures taken because I knew it would be ‘extra’ through my insurance and I didn’t want to pay for anything that wasn’t covered. The tech said she would check with my insurance, but thought pictures would be covered through my medical benefits due to a condition I had on my eye. She left the room and upon her return told me she had checked, and yes, it was covered. I then agreed to the procedure.After the fact, I received a bill in the mail for those pictures. When I called the office, they informed me that it was ‘billable’ to insurance and went towards my deductible and not ‘covered’. I am a healthcare provider and know that certain conditions can be billed under preventative codes, thereby allowing them to be covered under most insurances, and this is what the tech lead me to believe that day. I told them that if they had told me it went towards my deductible, I would have declined the pictures. They apologized for the ‘miscommunication’ and said I would still have to pay...that it would be insurance fraud for them to waive the extra portion of my fee. Again, as a healthcare provider myself, I know this is not the truth.I think it’s absolutely absurd that I should have to pay for their ‘mistake’ when I clearly stated during my visit on multiple occasions that I didn’t want any tests that would result in an extra charge. To top things off, when the optometrist explained my condition in the pictures, he said it was insignificant and shouldn’t cause me any problems. Then why did they want extra pictures of it?!I have read other reviews and it appears I am not the only one in this predicament. I prefer to visit establishments that make their living through honesty and care for patients well-being and not dishonesty, fraud, and violation of patient rights. If you have the same preference, I recommend you go elsewhere for your eye care.In response to AmyJo’s reply below: I spoke to you twice on the phone. You were the one that apologized for the miscommunication and admitted to the error, but told me there was nothing you could do and that it was insurance fraud for you to fix it (which is not the truth). You told me you would check again with your director and get back to me and you never called me back. I don’t believe I will be wasting my time trying to get in touch with you again. This company is a money scam. They act as if unnecessary procedures (ie eye dilation) are a requirement for a standard eye exam so that they can attempt to up-sell you on their “photo” technology which is BS. When I called to schedule my eye exam noting I would need a script for glasses & contacts they claimed total cost would be $156.80 then when I arrive they attempted to sell me on some random package over $300 then when I turned it down they claimed a contact fitting would be an additional $80. When explaining what I had been told cost wise when I booked the appt they claimed that the scheduler might not have been informed but their pricing was unchangable. No apologies, no care really at all. Everyone there truthfully just wanted to make money & that’s it. A drs office should at the very least pretend to care about the patient.At my second visit (the first one didnt cut it in attempting to fit me for contacts) I worked with a tech named Sarina though, who was very kind & helpful. She is the diamond in the rough at this place.Truthfully, it’s not really any of the employees faults, it’s the system of this company that will ensure I never return for another exam & will warn all my friends to go anywhere else.

My wife and I were both patients and while we liked the doctors, were extremely dissatisfied with their back office practices. My wife required special lens and she paid $500+ upfront for her glasses. Once the insurance was processed they came back with a $40 balance. We had just moved so for some reason we only saw the 2nd request for payment. My wife called me at work and asked me to run over there and pay it and I did. 4 days later we got a call from a collections agency for the same balance. I wish they would have picked up a phone to call us. Everyone sitting behind the desk had a phone in their hand when I walked in so its not like they didnt have the means. Just feels extremely impersonal and to think I referred two co-workers to their practice.

Apparently people get this location (that arent the same business) confused because the names are similar. Customer service was bare minimum and they acted like everything was a hassle. It took almost an hour to be seen by the actual doctor then I was left sitting for 25 minutes instead of 10 after my. Eyes were dilated. They also did not give me a copy of the prescription and when I called to ask for a copy that I could pick up because I wasnt given one they said not everyone wants a copy. Which is totally fine but it would have been a great customer service moment if they would have asked if Id like a copy of my prescription. This is also the first time in my 25 years of wearing glasses I have never received my prescription in a physical copy. The place was amazingly clean and the one intake assistant thst took me back thst has tattoos was awesome and very sweet. The doctor acted like it was a hassle and when I mentioned I could tell a difference in my eyes driving at night now that Im leaving my twenties as compared to when I first started driving. Which he flippantly said youre not old enough for that yet. No but I just told you an issue in my eyes that you just brushed off because Im not above the age of 40. It just wasnt a pleasent time. Any time there had to be any words exchanged it just seemed akward and rude. I hope it was just an off day because I hate it when I feel the need to write a review at all.

DO NOT GO! They will do lots of tests/photos without asking you if you want to do them and then stick you with huge bills. They do not explain that certain photos/tests are outside of routine care and thus will be billed to you. They just do the work without asking and then bill you. STAY AWAY if you want to avoid being stuck with unexpected bills.

Never going back to this place again. They were not professional at all. They werent very eager to help us at all. The receptionists seemed like they didnt care and when we walked in they were on their phone and didnt even look up to tell us to sign in or welcome us.
