I love these guys. Stephen (assistant mgr.) and Jed (associate) have been awesome in helping my wife and me prepare for upcoming, first, backpacking trip. Jed spent almost two hours helping my wife get fitted properly for her pack. Steven has been a big help and a wealth of information in thinking about our upcoming purchases of other gear. I just met Nick, the manager, today and he seems just as friendly as the other two have been.Listen, mistakes can be made and nobody is perfect, but when the owner of a company takes out to try and make up for a mistake, I say thats trying to do the right thing.Having lived in Chattanooga, my wife and I were familiar with Rock Creek. This location is no different just because its at the mall in Cool Springs. Theyre a great store, not just some trendy shop selling name brands. Theyre real guys with REAL knowledge selling the real deal. They care about making sure you get the RIGHT item, even if that means is the one on sale and not full price.Ive been back and and will continue to go back.Thanks, Rock Creek, for what you do. This is a smaller store. They have nice stuff and all the brand names, but they dont seem to have as many sales.

For a shopping mall this little outdoor store has quite a lot to offer. I was unaware they had a Rock/Creek here in the Cool Springs Galleria, so I waited around and then happened upon this location. Great location (not my first time in R/C —been to Chattanooga location); I happened upon a 30% Marmot sale. Good find... honestly this store has a lot to offer and I am sure that they would help you find what you need if they didnt have it displayed or needed a special order. The staff did not stare me down, even though I looked at every single item. Again stated they have a lot to offer, a good selection of: climbing gear, backpacks and backpacking essentials, outdoor clothing (jackets, shells, and some base layer) and much more.Thank you Liz for your help -come back down to Dixie some time wed love to have you. I am sure there are some undiscovered woods out there that have your name on them.

Excellent store with lots of variety. Clothing sold at a reasonable price. Employees are very helpful and will help you find the best fit for you.

Pretty good selection of clothes. This isnt the place to go to get gear for outdoors -- but if you are looking for outdoorsy clothing, you will find a great section of your typical wear -- Patagonia and Northface. The staff seems friendly.

This place was really nice to go in a walk around while the wife and daughter are in American Girl. However, this place is way to expensive!!! I know the point is to make money and there must be a lot of People in Nashville that make way to much money. But, the prices were way out of any normal persons range. If you want to pay more than you need to, this place is for you. If you want to be able to brag on how much you spent, this place is for you.

We were at Rock Creek in Cool Springs Mall yesterday where I noted a Prana mens shirt. All signs in the Prana area said 25% off as did the Rock Creek website. We returned today to try on the shirt for size and to purchase. I waited outside the store with other family while my wife made the purchase. She told the young male clerk it was on sale, he told her only SOME of the Prana was (signage was misleading then) and charged her full price. When she met us and I saw the reciept I returned to the store where an assistant manager took the receipt, proceeded to look online to be assured I knew what I was talking about. He also implied I was upset and inappropriate. Not so.He did refund the difference in price, but pretty grudgingly. The younger clerk assumed the older female shopper (my wife) didnt know what she was talking about. He should have checked then whether HE knew what he was talking about. Signage WAS correct in that all the Prana was 25% off.There are other stores for outdoor gears and are exceedingly good at serving customers well...like REI. Rock Creek will not have to worry with me in the future.December 17 2017
