The equipment didn’t do what the technician told us it would do. Their is a 30 second delay in receiving the motion detection alert and it only records up to 16 feet.The install looked like a 4th grade kid did it and the wires are hanging down our siding.It takes forever trying to navigate through their customer service support. Half of their support people you can’t even understand their English. It’s very difficult to cancel the service within the three days grace period they give you if you even try to cancel it.Oh and the $100.00 Visa card that you are suppose to get for initial visit cost you $5.00 in shipping charges to get.The entire deal is a crock! Simply got to Best Buy and buy some Arlo cameras instead.
The technician who came to set up the system was great and very knowledgable. Unfortunately the people I spoke with to set the appointment up fed me lies, and wont do anything to make it better. I was told that I would get a call 30 minutes before the technician got to my house so I could make it in time from work, but he wasnt notified to call me. The manager told me the entire consultation/install would take 1-2 hours, but when the technician came in he said it would take 4-5 hours. I was also told I would get a $100 gift card before I even knew it was a promotion going on, to make me feel like they cared about the reason I wanted the system to begin with. The manager told me it would be shipped to me 1-3 days after install when, in reality, I had to fill out a certificate that was hidden in the middle of my documents and pay $4.95 and postage to mail all this just to get it. So, they expected me to wait for this gift card to come in the mail, which it never was coming until I did my part, and miss the 30 day window to send in the certificate. The person I spoke to on the phone refused to let me talk to the manager who told me all of this when I asked to speak with her. Im very disappointed already, and Ive only had the service for 3 days.
Service was excellent!! Robert was efficient and knowledgeable, and had great advice about how to set up my home security system. I highly recommend Robert and ADT for home security!!
The installation was quick and easy. The installer was able to answer all of our questions and was very professional. He had everything installed in about 2 hours. The only bad things was when he called to have the system verified. He needed to call in and was placed on hold for 45 min. They couldnt verify that to doorbell was online even though we could view the video on my phone. The installer asked how to fix the issue and the representative did not provide any assistance. They spoke for about 20 min. He tried a few things and was able to reboot the doorbell. Then he had to call back for the system to be verified. He was on hold for another hour and 20 minutes before someone picked up.After this he had to call another number for me to verify everything. That phone call lasted another 15 min. The representative ask me how things went. I told him everything was good up until the installer had to call in and verify. I told him the over 2 hours on hold for a company is unacceptable and wanted a follow up for what action the company was going to to ensure this doesnt havent happen again. I have still not heard from the company.If the installer wasnt so polite and professional, we would have had the equipment removed and wouldnt have gone with ADT.
I called to cancel the service last summer, because it was intermittent when we were on vacations. just shotty service. was going to get one of these new self-systems. So i get customer retention, who tell me they would upgrade me from Pulse Equipment/Service to Command Equipment/Service, if i stayed and that it wouldnt fail when i was away. the current Pulse Equipment/Service is mine, so there was no contract. i was assured of that and didnt sign or agree to anything. but i said okay to the upgrade. i was assured the upgrade would happen right away, before i left town in October for sure. She said there would only be a contract later when they install the new Command Equipment/Service.So it took them 6 months of bumbling to show up to install the Pulse Equipment/Service. the day they guy finally showed, jan 8th, he warned as soon as he got here that it might not work, because of only one bar of cell service. i said okay, then i guess we better not do it. need to call someone? he said he would deal with it. 8hrs late, after it is installed, he tells me the office requires him to remove it now, because of only one bar of service and that they can not install that service here.i canceled service that day, or so i was told. i had to give my password and everything. he read me a statement. i was told my account was closed. now, weeks later, i get a bill and also an e-notification that they scheduled to charge my card again in March. i called the bank and had my card replaced. so at least they cant charge me again. but they are still billing me.So i called today and as i hold for 10 min at a time, she comes back on the phone and tells me my account is still open, still billing and since they just installed the system on the 8th, i will be charged $1200 to break the contract. i tried to explain to her that they are the ones who broke the contract and that they removed the system the very same day. then she puts me on hold multiple times again, and then says, okay, we will let you break that contract, but the contract you signed last August is in effect until August. i tried to explain that i didnt sign any contract back then and dont have one. never did, and she said she was sorry, is there anything else that she can do for me and that they will continue to bill me. so it sounds like she shut down my service, but didnt shut down my service? this is getting crazy. they technically owe ME for the last 6 months of Pulse service they have been charging me for! that wasnt part of the deal at all!most crooked bunch of people i have ever met! LOTS of new services out there! I highly recommend them over ADT! be prepared to get SCAMMED with these people ! ! !
I can not say enough good things about my technician Terrance. He maintained his composure, attitude and professionalism despite the many challenges we had that day. He is an asset to ADT and the definition of what someone in the customer service field should be!
Everything went smoothly and up and running. 5 motion, 4 door, 3 smoke. installation person was very nice and knowledgeable. when quoting monthly price, would prefer if stated plus tax. should be assumed, but not always the case.
My experience was pretty awful. The technician was pushy and manipulative. I signed in distress and cancelled the service a few days later. I am choosing a different service.
Don, our technician was very knowledgeable and helpful and offered us his phone number if we had any questions.. He eas so thorough we havent needed to call him. . . yet! It was OK except it cost more than we liked.
Levi West from ADT was excellent! He was here right away when I needed him, and stayed until he was sure I was safe as he said. He explained everything, was meticulous in his installation, was not rushed, and I felt like he really cared about my well-being.
They lie to make the sale. The sale tactics are very pushy and we were told several times by the technician that we had 30 days to try it and if we didnt like it that we could return it. I am the type of person that I always read what Im signing but this man was very charismatic and was paraphrasing what each section said for us to speed things along as it was late. Even after the customer service line pulled our technician on to the phone and he admitted he gave bad info they still wouldnt honor it. I cant believe I fell for it. Now I am locked in to a service or I can pay 75% of the contract. Please people, there are so many options out there that have better customer service, more transparent practices, and are just more with the times.
This is an incredibly shady company, I opened a retail business 14 months ago and thats also why I decided to get ADT for security, recently restrictions in my city have caused me to have to relocate locations, problem is ADT now claims I owe them $700 if I cancel their service that I supposedly have a 3 year contract with... I have no recollection of ever agreeing to any contract, this company will weisel you into signing with them and then make it difficult to leave them. This is some of the most ridiuclous marketing strategies iv ever seen in my life, you will not be much safer with ADT, if I could go back Id save 1000s. Also I noticed I told the sales rep 3 times that I didnt need it and he kept trying to give me a lower monthly price and now I know why. Scam security company, dont do business with them.
Adt is a terrible company that makes their money trapping people in long contracts. The authorized dealers only give you a slightly worse deal. Once they got you customer service and satisfaction go out the window. Let the 3 day cancelation period be a huge red flag to you!

Tried for over a decade and ADT couldn’t get it together. How are they still in business with inferior tech, terrible customer service, and awful service contracts?
ADT all they do is steal money from you reason why Im saying this because I had a security break-in and cops never showed up to be honest I went to the police station police station told me they dont handle ADT calls anymore so they lie about their describing their policy is to protect your home but they did so thats why Im not pain and I am going to sue them
