Excellent store for photo frames, reasonably priced.
Yikes on their prices!, I regularly by Copic marker from Blicks foe 5.85. Here they were going for 7.99! When you are buying more than one that 37% adds up fast. Same with Faber Castell Pens...2.71 at Blicks and 4.99 or 71% higher at Joanns. Maybe their sewing stuff is priced more competitively but hard pass on their art supplies!
I’ve been going to this location for years. Freda is the best employee and person you could ever deal with. More people should be like here. I always go out of my way to have her check me out if she is working. They have the best selection of Perler beads outside of perler’s own website. They also have a ton of other stuff And their clearance stuff is pretty good too. Sometimes the line to check out can get long with only a couple of cashiers, but it happens randomly. I’ve walked in many times and got my stuff and checked out within 5 minutes.
Great store and I own a Viking machine which is a plus at Joanne’s. Very nice people
Always a cut above the competition. Helpful knowledgeable staff. Good neighborhood. I drive by a Michaels to get here. Goodluck.
Didnt find exactly what I wanted, but with so much fabric choices, I did find something I think will work, and look nice. The lady at the sewing counter was extremely helpful and patient. She knew what I needed, even though I was not sure. Will definitely be going there again the next time I am looking for fabric, crafts, etc. Highly recommend!!
I love the particular location I went to, better set-up than some other South Nashville locations. Very friendly staff who checked on me without my asking for help.
Great crafting supplies. Truly VAST supply of fabrics
The staff is so cordial, personable, and helpful.
The woman who helped me with getting things to make my doll was a godsend. I think I am in over my head but she helped with getting the items and how to make it. I dont know what I would have done without her. I wish I knew hew name but she was great and so young.
Great Customer Service! Great Quality Materials!Tana gave me great information on a new sewing machine! She took me back to my High school Home Ec days!!Look at the pic to see this high text machine!!I will definitely be back!!
They had what I needed. Little pricey but I guess that is the sign of the times..
This is the BIGGEST JoAnn fabrics Inhave ever been to! They have everything you need, helpful and friendly employees. 😀👍
We were looking for fabric to make a hedgehog puppet, and they had it! They are our go-to source for fabrics. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is that I find some of the other crafty stuff a bit hard to find at Jo-Anns.
The gentleman who helped me was awesome. Im sorry I didnt get his name.
I needed a specific fabric and the employees were able to place what I needed on hold for twenty four hours. When I went to check out the clerk asked if I had any coupons and she even assisted me in getting a better discount. Really impressed with the service here.
Good place for all craft supplies. My daughter gets all her knitting supplies here.
We were in search of a Cricut Infusible Ink Wine Bag blank and the store listed 3 in stock. We couldnt find them out and about. Jenny used her device to make sure they were still in the system. She pulled out the ladder to check the extra stock overhead. When that didnt work she used her headset to communicate with another associate who brought them up front to us. Great customer service! Wanted for a special house warming gift. Thank you for going above and beyond!
I just love Joanns! This one is big and has lots of yarn 😁 It also has lots of other craft supplies.
Couldnt find an employee to help me. Neither could another woman. I ran across what she was looking for and showed her where to find it. I never found what I was looking for. There were two women at the checkout. The one I chose was rude when I had questions about coupons. I wasnt trying to get away with anything. I just wouldnt have bought the product if it wasnt covered by the coupon. I believe the other woman overheard her coworker and was super nice to me on my way out. I guess what kind of experience youll have depends on whos working or which checkout counter you go to.
Big store with a ton of selection. Super clean.
They are not enforcing mask policy, check out lines are ridiculous. Called ahead to ensure a smooth transaction on my return and it was everything but, I was given false information twice, and then misinformed on how I would be getting my funds returned. The past two times I have had exchanges or returns it has been a complete nightmare. Just going to start going elsewhere. The lines alone are worth driving elsewhere.
I love this store! Everything is so well sorted, and easy to find. Plus the staff is always incredible!
Great customer service. The lady at the fabric counter was really friendly and helpful and didnt complain about my large amounts of fabric. She also included my 5 year old son in conversation.
Good, went in for 1 thing and came out with 4 of course lol
Call3d the store and spoke to an associate and a manager regarding not being able to do an online order and they basically said they didnt know how to fix the problem so I teold them maybe Ill have to order from someplace else and they said okay. I guess they are not a place that is practicing good customer support
Looking for specialty baking products from Wilton. They sure had them! Many shelves empty now... Perhaps being stocked for holidays.
I found what I needed and talked to the cashier. All good!
Great selection of supplies and a very tidy store!
I love the sales. They always have beautiful holiday decor, no matter what holiday it is.
The employees at this store are usually pretty helpful but honestly the past couple times I’ve been here I have had a rude encounter. I had an employee give me an attitude when I did not understand her directions to an item I was looking for. I would have appreciated if she had showed me to the item. I didn’t even end up buying what I was looking for because I couldn’t find it and did not want to ask again. It is also difficult to find employees to even ask for help as it has seemed short staffed when I have shopped there.
This place was so well stocked and well organized!
Great. I found more than what I was looking for.
Crafters heaven. What else could you want.
Good selection of stuff and friendly staff but much of their inventory is overpriced.
Pretty good selection
They had exactly what I was looking for to finish a quilt. Even though an error occurred, the manager was quick to fix it. The manager was extremely kind and most helpful. I strongly recommend this store. I was pleased to find they offer a military/veteran discount in addition to coupons.
Way way to pricey...$24.99per/yr. And buy one get one outdoor chair pad, get on Free...but its a regular cushion at ..$50.00...I wouldnt pay 25 for it. I found a better and thicker one for$8.97 AT Walmart n I love it.
This is a review 15 years in the making.Ive been living in Franklin for 10 years and working there for 15. So Ive gone to this Joanns for a very long time now. 10 to 15 years ago, it was wonderful. The customer service staff were amazing! And you could tell everything in the store was displayed with care and just gorgeous.Somewhere in the 8 to 10 years ago range, that changed. So much so that Ive started trying to make trips to the Joanns in Murfreesboro instead, but unfortunately. I cant always make that work out and have had to go to the one in Franklin several times a year still too.In Franklin. If youre lucky enough to get someone 35 or younger, you might luck out and get a good experience. Anyone 40 and up though? Run for your life!!! Which breaks my heart, especially for the handful of persons there who are apparently 60 and up that they are all such miserable and hateful people. As I have done elder care and the elderly hold a particularly soft spot in my heart for being amazing people. And I am mid 40s now too. So I dont understand why anyone would be so rude to someone your same age.I always try to be very curteous and helpful and polite when Im checking out or asking for help in the store. Because of course I get that retail can be a tough job, and we all know the pay isnt great. So I try particularly hard to be nice, patient, thoughtful and genuinely interested in the welfare of anyone I interact with.I have been consistently met with nothing but rudeness and hostility and condescension. In every interaction from asking for help to locate an item in the store, the rare times I have made a phone call, and ESPECIALLY when I am checking out.Ive had cashiers repeatedly roll their eyes at me, flat out refuse to answer me when I ask them how they are or other general conversational things you see when checking out, and otherwise completely ignoring what I say as if I didnt speak at all, which is just insanely rude. Act upset and angry at my existence in the store, and refuse to make eye contact when Im checking out and look at everything but me as if I offend them. (Im normal in looks.)My latest example was a week ago. I was checking out about an hour before closing on a Saturday night. There were two cashiers. One finished and as the last person was leaving, I was hesitating and slightly moving forward waiting for her to make eye contact or motion me over as I never know when someone will need to step away or count their drawer or fix something else. She flipped her hand at me with a gesture that seemed more like what youd do when someone cut you off in traffic, and rolled her eyes as she motioned for me to come over.So I walked up and handed her my single item and asked how she was. She didnt answer. As this is the time of covid, I thought she may not have heard me, since I was wearing a mask.So I asked her, more loudly so she could hear, how the large plastic barrier between us was working out for her. She seemed offended by it and said something like, You cant control other people. So I said something like, Im glad your employer is trying to watch out for you. No response again. She didnt put my yarn in a bag, and since its yarn, which picks up every scrap of lint, I had to ask for a bag, and she seemed mad at that too.I said something like, I hope you have a good rest of the night! Or the like when leaving, loudly enough Im sure she could hear. She didnt answer and just gave me a dismissive wave/shooing type of motion. As incredibly rude as all of this is, I have to say. This is completely typical of the rudeness of the people in this store. Regretably. Its a much smaller store, but I highly recommend you go to the Murfreesboro Joanns instead. The people are super friendly and helpful every time Ive been there. Ive been going off and on for the last two years now, several times a year, and they have consistently been wonderful people to have in a store. I only go to the Joanns in Franklin when I need something I cant wait to pick up in Murfreesboro.
Great store, wish there was one on Columbia tn.
Great service! This store staff helped me with scrapbooking ideas and supplies. They helped me download the app and made best use of the coupons!!!
Guys, joanns has some legit Halloween decor, lets get spooky!
Morgan (joanns associate) gets five stars for delivering impeccable customer service.
Didnt find what I was looking for,but they were having a big sell. If you can catch a sale for what you are looking for that would be great. Other wise their prices are a little high
I love Joanne for all thing craft; including paint, canvases, storage, sewing, jewelry making, femo clay. Always find sales and coupons.
Lots of fun stuff to get crafty but a bit over priced.
Always has a bunch of things I want as a crafty person but their fabric selection is disappointing. Lots of flannel and fleece in fun patterns, but not much of variety otherwise.
My absolute favorite craft store! They have just about everything! Pretty large selection of yarn in a variety of weights, fibers, colors. Fabric, patterns, notions, craft books & magazines, seasonal decor, planners, wedding, frames, etc. Weekly sales and coupons, loyalty orogram, educator discount. Limited fine art supplies.
Friendly and helpful staff, easy online order and curbside pickup.
The lady cutting my fabric was super quick and accurate. The long line on a busy shopping day moved very quickly. Yeah JoAnns
I love going to this store. Everything I need for all my craft hobbies is easy to find in one place. Plus things are either on sale or theres a good coupon on the app to make hobbies more affordable. The employees are also super helpful.
Great selection, friendly and helpful team, well laid out store
I know I’m not the right demographic for this place, but I find the store overloaded with stock and products, like a hoarder’s house with better shelving.
Don’t forget your coupon! There is always a coupon. So many things for crafters of all kinds. So much more than fabric. Find supplies at great prices. Weather you are an experienced crafter or just starting one project they can help. They also have lots of seasonal decorations for these of you who want to look crafty but don’t have the patience, time, or the crafting ‘bone’.
Love Joann Fabrics!! They always have the products I need for embroidery, knitting, crochet, and sewing. There is always a coupon available. If the store doesnt have something, I can order online. Very intelligent, efficient staff!!
Didnt find what we were looking got
Great variety of items, generous discounts with % off coupons. I shop with them alot. My store is in HermitageVery nice and helpful employees. Theyre also very accommodating. Highly recommend.
Great help from employees and great prices
Lots of neat stuff but more expensive than Micheal
I always have such a great experience at Joanns! I bought way too much vintage Simplicity stuff! And everyone was so helpful even though it was crazy busy!
Mostly when I look through the other reviews I see a lot of complaints about coupon, sign, waiting, or restroom. Coupon and sign errors are mostly from not reading the exclusions. Best advice is to read carefully and dont make a trip to use a specific coupon. Waiting is one of those things that is present most places, and I have even seen people call from inside of the store to complain about having to wait. I cannot imagine why they feel this is necessary, but ok. As for the restroom... I think there is some sort of drainage issue, but I believe the actual buildings in that strip mall are owned by someone else. However, they are cleaned every morning before the store opens. Kind of makes me shudder to imagine what goes on when the store is open for it to deteriorate so quickly. That all being said, they are understaffed, and they seem to do their best with how much staff they have. So 4/5 stars
Disappointing selection of knitting tools.Relatives gave me a gift card for Christmas because they know I knit. I tried to shop at JoAnn online, to order for in store pickup, but the site wouldnt let me order certain items due to limited inventory Im stock. Then when I physically went to the store, all the items I wanted were out of stock. O was shopping for pretty basic tools like pom pom makers and storage boxes. I left with some deeply discounted Christmas wrap, an embroidery hoop, and a box of Legos, and annoyingly I still have $18 on my gift card. Staff were very nice but not empowered to help place an order for in store pickup because their entire inventory software system was down.
I really like joann fabrics but goodness! I had to stand in a slow moving checkout line of about 30 people to buy 2 skeins of yarn. And there is always a line of at least 10. I was in line a lot longer than I was shopping! And the cool springs location (in Franklin Tn where I was) is in a shopping center that is a nightmare to get out of. I always dread going there. Only one exit for the whole large shopping center and it is in a super crazy bad traffic area. I go as little as possible to avoid the headache. Id rather order online and risk not liking the product and having to make a return. Unfortunately i was making a special order for a customer and had no choice but to go to the store
Great selection of fabrics for my project, as well as a helpful staff to assist me in finding what I needed.
When Im in the market for fabric JoAnn is always my first stop..and most always my only stop. They have a great choice if Im making childrens blankets or upholstering furniture .. and everything in between. Also great sales!
Beautiful store - Much bigger than the store in Murfreesboro. The cashier was also very helpful and very sweet. I went in to pick up an online order and browsed the store for a bit before pick up.
The people who work there are patient, helpful and cheerful! I always enjoy stopping in, because I know I can find a good deal, and interested ladies who know their stuff!
Slow service. The lady checking me out was very rude.
I always get great deals when I shop here, and they have loads of yarn! The employees are always friendly, oftentimes going out of their way to help me.
If youre a costume designer, this one is great. Its a bit pricey so wait for the deals, but they do have deals, so thats great!!!
Customer service is always top notch.
Friendly customer help. Always coupons available. The classes are friendly and fun, and the selection is pretty good.
Nice selection of fabrics and crafting items. Helpful sales staff as well. Usually good sales and coupons.
I placed a small order online and it was ready the next day for pickup. The Customer Service desk was closed so I had to wait in the long line which I didnt mind because I had plenty of time to waste before meeting a friend for lunch. I found a mini stocking that I wanted to purchase as well.Liz, an employee at this location, was the most hateful person Ive ever met!! She immediately snipped at me for everything. Apparently I couldnt do or say the right thing. She aggressively asked for my id and proof of email address and literally huffed when I explained that I dont have email on my phone. I did have a print out of the orders that I received in my email, but that wasnt good enough for her since it didnt show my email address on the print out. She literally huffed a second time and stomped away to retrieve my online order. She peeked in the bag for not even a second (both small ornaments were wrapped with tissue)and said that I would have to get in another line to finish checking out. I asked why and she became angry and snapped at me. So I stepped in Terrys line to purchase the mini stocking and have her sign off on my online order. Terry, a veteran employee, was not even apologetic when I brought up how rude Liz was being. It will be a cold day in hell before I ever step foot in this place again!Since I bit my tongue while Liz inappropriately treated me like dirt at this store for no reason whatsoever, Ill speak my mind now...this store definitely needs to hire happy, helpful people instead of a bunch of old hags that are too mean to even be Walmart greeters!
You may find good deals here for furniture and house hold stuff.
Great place for all sewing needs. They have a huge selection of fabrics, yarns, threads and accessories. They always have good sales and the people who work there are very helpful.
One of my favorite craft stores! Large selection of fabrics and all things sewing as well as great baking and scrapbooking sections too. They offer a lot of the same items as Michaels, but also a few different brands too.
Not as good as other stores with the same kind of stuff. Holiday decor was lacking, not very good for paint selection, good for fabric. Disappointed
Love this store!! Great customer service. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Staff directed me to coupons that took over $50 off my purchase in addition to the featured sales.
Heres the thing:. Joanns is THE place to go for a wide selection of yarns, fabrics, etc for do it yourself clothing and accessories. But you can either get the nice cashier who sees you reaching for your cellphone and pulls the weekly coupons up from under the register to scan them for you - or the grouch who made my wife walk out to our car to get her phone because the first cashier made a mistake by not making you show the coupons yourself when she ran back in to make an additional purchase.
I can browse and pretty good customer service at checkout
I come here at least once or twice a week. They have a fantastic fabric selection and coupons. The workers are friendly and very helpful. I come here for all of my crafty needs.
The people who work here seem like they hate their jobs. They will sigh when you ask a question or have material cut. They do have a great selection of fabric and crafts but customer service is horrible
Joann Fabrics. Great selection of yarn. Had wool, cotton and alpaca. Cashier was pleasant and helpful. Great for crafting.
Excellent selection, decent quality, many items overpriced but with frequent sales 30-50% off, affordable. The lines typically move fast and they have more open cashiers than Walmart!
Unfriendly and petty about discounts. Also, if certain items are going to be locked for theft prevention purposes at the inconvenience of well-meaning customers, then a “press for assistance” button or readily available staff should be easily accessible. After this visit, I will be making the extra drive to patronize Michael’s instead.
Friendly staff. Easy to find things. Lots of varieties of craft items.
Struggled to find items that were not holiday themed
They dont sanitize as customers check out & dont require people to wear masks. I think thats absolutely horrendous, especially considering we are in the middle of a pandemic.Honestly really disappointing and the store is pretty messy/understocked. Id avoid this store if you can.
Seldom I feel like finding things is more difficult than necessary. The fabric area is sometimes a mess, but the employees are usually pretty helpful. The store is pretty clean as well.
Love this place...if you have a hobby or idea they have what you need to finish it
They had sales and the cashier didnt think it was a sale. No one would go check. My wife went and brought the sale sign back. That didnt help either. The cashier still was questioning the sale. WE WALKED OUT and WONT BE BACK.
This is a great store! The fabric lady was so helpful and knew exactly what I needed even though I didnt know what I was doing! Hahaha
Found everything I needed, the Cashier DAWN was a riot..made a stressful time easier to handle with her banter..such an asset to your company...
The things I purchased were on sale. Due to it being a holiday weekend we couldnt find an employee to help us find a couple of items.
I have a child at home with terminal cancer. Ive left the house maybe a dozen times in 5 months. I came to Joanns for some foam padding. The length was fine, the width was not. They refused to cut the width - company policy. I asked what they would suggest I use - an electric carving knife is what [they] use in store. So I spent 3 hours on a wild goose chase trying to find a store that sells an electric knife - Target, Walmart, and Bed Bath & Beyond. I came back to Joanns, whos staff and a manager again refused, despite me explaining my very personal and painful situation. Once I was reduced to tears, a staff member offered that I could do speciality cuts myself. That would have saved me a lot of time, had that been suggested during my first visit, when I mentioned I didnt own an electric knife. When you care for someone with a terminal illness you arent guaranteed next month, or next week, or even tomorrow... so those hours count. This errand shouldve taken 20 minutes! What a terrible and heartless way to treat a customer.
