RES is the only place I would take my classic auto to for mechanical work.
Its a family run, two generations automotive repair service business, honest, trustworthy, reliable, dependable, helpful, competitive...I have done business with them for almost 12 years, they have never disappointed me and I recommend them to my family, friends and other businesses that we do business with here in Middle Tennessee. If you want honest, quality repair for a competitive price, This Is The Place to take your Vehicle for Your Automotive Repair Needs!
They are very friendly and do a wonderful job. More importantly they are honest!! They won’t try to take advantage of you. They will identify the problem and tell you what needs to be fixed and what can wait to be fixed. I highly recommend them.
Great experience with RES. Incredibly quick, thorough and quality work. Will continue to go back.
Great work on older vehicles! I take my old Jeep grand Wagoneer here!
Recently I brought in my Element. They listened to me and fixed the problem. My family has been bringing our cars here for years. Its nice to have someone you can trust and depend on to fix your car. Especially when you are a single mom and use your car for everything!
Great people and great service
I brought my 1966 Impala to RES automotive because the factory air wasnt blowing cold and would only work on the low setting. I bought the car used like this so I had no idea what had been done before I bought it. 3 other shops wouldnt touch it because of the year or because its a show car and they were afraid they would damage something. I had one shop that works on classics quote me $2000 to $4000 to fix the A/C. This seemed a little expensive but I wasnt sure.RES told me they would evacuate the old Freon from r-12 to 134, change this oil in the compressor and then test it to see what the problem was and be able to give me a firm quote. The car had some oil leaks so I asked them to locate where the leak was and how much to fix that also. The Freon was leaking from all the clamps, the resistor was bad and a relay was bad and there was a short in the blower motor wiring somewhere. It also had leaks from loose bolts in the oil pan, transmission pan, timing chain cover and various other bolts.Long story short:After the evacuation RES fixed all the A/C clamps changes the relay and resistor. The biggest part of the job was the figuring out it was a bad switch. Randy took out the interior console, the back of the glove box located the switch and since it was a difficult part to purchase because of availability on a nearly 50 year old car Randy rebuilt my bad switch and put the car back together. In the meantime his son Adam went and tighten all the loose bolts on the engine and transmission and some of them were very difficult to get to.I waited awhile to write this review to see if things were okay. Everything they did is holding tight, the air is blowing cold on any blower motor speed. And so how much did all this excellent work cost me you may wonder. The total bill was $420. Thats right only four hundred and twenty dollars.I dont write many reviews but anyone that is looking for an old school honest mechanic shop, especially someone who has a beautiful classic car I highly recommend this family owned business. My 66 Impala has 48000 original miles, matching numbers, factory air, has a rare gauge package and is an investment quality car. Thanks to Randy (the dad) and all of his sons for all your hard work and more than fair price. These businesses are hard to find nowadays. Remember my first quote for the A/C repair alone was between $2000 to $4000.
Randy and Team are absolutely great. They do what is needed with quality and do not over charge or do unneeded repairs.
There a fun bunch of shitbirds and theyll take good care of ya
