My first visit was earlier this week, and I could not have been any more impressed with Tim and Hunter and Franklin Auto. They diagnosed exactly what needed to be replaced on my 22 year old truck, and I am 100% happy with my experience here. Im telling you, all of their google reviews are spot-on accurate! My first visit yesterday and the reviews have it bang on the money. Great service. Dropped my vehicle mid afternoon with no appointment and the brakes were done in and hour and 5 minutes! I had spoken to Tim who had said just bring it down and we will get it taken care of. An honest very reasonably priced shop. Hard to find in the automotive trade these days. Strongly recommend them. Great experience! Their quote was $600 less than the first quote I got at another shop. Even better, the repair was done in half the time quoted and unbelievably at half the cost! I’ve never had a mechanic tell me they were able to do it faster and were going to reduce the quoted estimate. Will definitely be back for all of our service needs!

Though I usually have friends fix my car, I thought it was time to find a shop near home. Called Franklin Auto and they were lovely. Chatted with me over the phone a bit to discuss what could be wrong and made me an appointment significantly faster than I thought Id be able to get in.Long story short- they dealt with my sleepy self at 7:30 am trying to be awake enough pre-coffee to explain what was wrong. Hunter has a grand sense of humor and dealt with my 200 stupid questions about whether or not he thought my car would explode mid-highway. (Ive been known to be a bit dramatic at times).What a previous shop had told me turned out not to be true. It ended up needing about half the work they said and that it could actually be driven for a while longer without any worry. The crew at Franklin even checked out a few other things that had been wrong to tell me what could be done to fix.Overall, I found them all to be a lovely bunch. Informative and honest, knowledgeable, patient and pleasant to be around. Even though I didnt get anything fixed this time, I will certainly be taking Old Blue back there when she needs some work.

Franklin Auto is an incredible operation owned by trustworthy and stand up guys. I refer many of my friends in the Franklin area. They are honest, hard working and provide service with a smile.

Tim and his team are the best! They are fairly priced, they care about your vehicle’s well-being and, most importantly, value my business as a customer. When I need mechanics I can trust, these are my go to guys.

After receiving a quote from a dealership of $1400 and wait time of 4-5 business days, I wanted a second opinion. These guys quoted me under $200 and fixed it within a day. They definitely earned my business and can’t recommend them enough!

We asked to have the code read on our car, to see what the check engine light was on for. We were told that it couldn’t be done until next week, when many places just do it with no cost and in about 5 minutes. If they took the time to help us, we more than likely would have asked them to help us solve the problem. The guy at the front counter was short and didn’t make eye contact.

Great repair shop! They were nice, helpful, and knowledgeable about the repairs that were necessary for our vehicles. They have reasonable prices and were able to get our car repaired quickly. We will use them for all future car service repair needs.

Friendly staff and fair price

Hunter is a great guy! Just had my Dodge Ram 1500 repaired there. I had the dreaded Death Wobble and he set me up with a diagnosis and told me everything that was wrong with the truck. We ended up getting the Hub Assembly and the Tract Bar replaced. I dropped it off at 7:30 right when they opened and he had it ready for me before lunch. He gave me a great deal on this repair and I will likely come back for any future repairs I need on this truck or future vehicles. To top it off, when I came and picked it up, he gladly gave me a walk around and pointed out what they changed. I left there knowing that I had been serviced well! Most importantly, I can drive down the road now without hitting a bump and the steering wheel being torn from my hands! 5/5 Will do business again with them.

Tim was very friendly and helpful. I live in Murfreesboro so they were able to do everything over the phone. The price was reasonable and they were willing to work with me on it.

Brought in my car thinking I needed brakes, after inspection Hunter and Tim said my brakes were fine, past experience with both of them has been great, never doubt what they tell me. I will continue to use and trust them for all my repairs and would highly recommend them to anyone. Lots of shops would have sold me something I didnt need, Great guys!!!!

Took my car in to change a caliper, rotors and pads. And not only was I offered fair price but was also given a ride back to work. It was done quickly and my brakes are better than they ever have been. I will coming back anymore repairs that I may need.

Called about a door repair, and they told recommended that it would be faster and cheaper to just call a locksmith. Putting customers first like this is unheard of!

I was traveling through town on a long road trip and stopped here to have them check my squeaking brakes. The brake pads just had some rust on them, and the technicians did not need to do any repairs. They were honest about that, even though I wouldnt have known the difference if they had said I needed the pads replaced.

Franklin Automotive is a first rate independent service & repair shop newly located at 307 5th Ave N in Franklin TN. Im writing this review on behalf of my husband and I who have had Ted & his mechanics service and repair our cars for over 25 years. We first found Teds Auto Service when we lived near Memphis in Cordova TN. Not knowing that Ted and family moved to Franklin area, we just happened to find his shop near I-65 shortly after we moved here in 08. We were thrilled to have him work on our cars again. Now Ted and staff have relocated in downtown Franklin, right next to the Alexander dealership. My husband recently had Franklin Automotive replace his brakes and Im having them work on my wheels. All of our experiences have been very positive, fairly priced and service was done in a timely manner. Ted is an ASE Master Mechanic and Wesley is a Master Mechanic Technician. They are very experienced in working on all kinds of vehicles, including foreign ones. You can trust Franklin Automotive.

Our brakes were hanging up. we pulled in they jumped right on it and had us fixed up in a little over an hour. 5 stars aint enough they need more like 9 or 11.

My vehicle was diagnosed within 10 minutes and they didnt charge me a dime because the transmission was shot and I didnt want to have it fixed. Also, they advised me not to drive it anymore and offered me a ride home. Ill be back for sure!!
