Don’t purchase in here unless you’re absolutely sure! I spent $50 yesterday on two frames I had the receipt I came back today and I could only do a store exchange. The only reason I returned the frames was because they just didn’t match at all. So I had to scramble around the store and find something that I wouldn’t of even purchased but for $50 so I wouldn’t lose my money. I would not buy in the store again because of that. I suggested they mention all sales are final only store credit or have a sign they do have a very small sign behind the person behind the register. She also mentioned it says it on the receipt but you don’t receive a receipt until after you make a purchase so really at that point it’s too late anyway. I don’t understand when you have the product and you have a receipt and it was one day later why they don’t give you a refund. They simply don’t want to lose dollars but I will not spend future dollars there now because of this.
I used to visit this shop multiple times a month to both browse and shop for a variety of knick knacks. Being a repeat customer I thought this would be a great place to get gifts for my loved ones this holiday season. I spent over $130 on two Christmas ornaments alone which were beautiful. However, when I got home and opened the box I discovered that one of the ornaments they sold me was broken. I returned to exchange the broken merchandise (as my receipt said that items could be returned for store credit up to 30 days), the woman at the store was rude, unkind, unhelpful and hostile. The manager told me that she would not exchange the broken merchandise that she sold to me, and explained the reason she would not exchange it was that she could not resell a broken ornament resulting in her losing the profit on that item. The fact that the profit of this ornament came before the satisfaction of a repeat customer was very frustrating for me. Although I have purchased from this store many times in the past I will NEVER return to this store after the way I was treated. The manager was so ill mannered. I have worked customer service roles in the past and have never in my life been spoken to in such a discourteous way. I would not recommend this store to anyone, despite being a repeat customer. They have a terrible business model, and treat their customers poorly. I would give The Heirloom Shop a 0/5 stars if that was an option.
