After checking out several storage facilities, I decided to go with Metro self storage in Franklin Park due mainly because of Sandra who was so helpful, friendly, professional and accommodating. She has made the storage process so easy and stress free. I am in no hurry to get my things out of storage because I really look forward to talking to Sandra every month when I make a payment. Sandra is what anyone in customer service should aspire to be.

Excellent Customer Service.

Even though the rates have been steadily climbing, theyre still fairly reasonable compared to some other facilities. Plus its climate controlled; not all storage facilities are air conditioned. One gripe: A couple of months ago I was running a few days late on my rent payment because we were out of town but it was still within the grace period, but the manager showed my account as delinquent which annoyed us somewhat because it was still within the grace period which is one week after the due date.

Sandra at the Franklin Park facility is awesome. Delivered on what she promised and went above and beyond for us. Highly recommend!

I LOVE SANDRA, the Property Manager there! She is always so up-beat, respectful, extremely helpful, courteous, very straight forward and never gives you surprises about the bill. The property is always clean and apparently always almost filled, so the spaces are hard to get. Ive never had a problem here and it is so convenient.

My experience here was not that good. The rates they charged kept climbing and climbing, which I did not appreciate. They know they have you hooked once your things are in there since you would need to hire movers to and find another facility to get them out. So they take advantage of their customers by hiking rates knowing that it is hard to move out.Then additionally, they claim that this facility is temperature controlled but they have the bare minimum of HVAC going. In the summer, the temperature in there is 80+ degrees and in the winter it is less than 60 degrees (you need to wear a coat in there). You need to be careful when storing anything at all temperature sensitive or delicate, like glasswear, etc. since the constantly shifting temps from day to night can effect that. I dont think that is what customers expect when they pay for a temperature controlled unit. I certainly wasnt happy about it and had to store some delicate things in a different place, which I shouldnt have to do.The finally it creeped me out to go in there, especially alone. It is the perfect set up for a slasher movie with a pitch black garage, dark hallways, stained carpets, and lots of corners for someone to hide and jump out at you. You are very much alone with no help if something were to happen. I didnt like to go in and out. I know that isnt the most solid reason for a rating, but I dont think a storage facility should be kept so dark that it scares their customers to set foot inside. Just sayin.

Sandra has been very helpful throughout the time our items have been stored there. I really appreciate that the facility is climate controlled, It is clean,well lit and the dock inside is great during the cold Chicago winters.
