I drove there from Laveen (almost an hour drive) to pick up some tools that I ordered online because, believe it or not, its the ONLY such place that Sears sends these kind of orders in ALL the Phoenix area!The place is small, but the lady that works there has a very nice and polite attitude. We talked for a few minutes and she let me know that they had a bigger and better set of tools for almost the same price of what I had ordered. She canceled my order and refunded my money and then I bought the better tool set. This was a very good feeling because of the honest and great service by this lady. I wish more shops had the same integrity. It was worth the long drive!

I had a great experience at this location. Tim was helpful and knowledgeable, quickly helped me choose a dishwasher, and arranged delivery . My dishwasher was delivered and professionally installed as scheduled. When it failed to work a few days later, Tim delivered and installed a new replacement. Much appreciated! I will definitely go to Sears Hometown Store for any future appliance needs.

For their excellent customer service Manager, Amanda.This was by far the best service experience I have encountered in a very long time. Amanda was very knowledgeable in the Appliances that were available. And she put me at ease while helping me pick out the color and style that would best suit my home. I like that she was not pushy like most sales manager. Which in past has kept me from visiting stores like this. She also respected me and the public enough to make sure she had on a mask. I placed a order back in December online.. shipping was overpriced so I selected to pick up in the store. Only 1 location option and online showed it in stock. I placed my order.. pretty much right away I get a email it is backordered. Ok. Weeks go by. Finally I get a email that it is in. Great. Then a call. Sorry it was not on the truck. I wait. I get notified its in. I was never told I had to get it by any deadline. I go to get it. They dont have it. AND I am told the owner sold it. I requested a cancel ans refund. Now.. very clear to me why sears has gone out of business...sad they used to be great many many years ago. Save your time and shop anywhere but this company.

This place use to be a good store and I do like to shop in town to keep the stores in business. Service was not good and the wrong color was sent to the store on my microwave and I had to wait another week for another one. I I cancelled my order and went someplace else. Store owner never returned my call when I asked the associate to tell him. I will never bring my busy back there anymore.

We were in the market for a fridge and this location had two that we were interested in viewing. It was a 40 minute drive to this store but we wanted to see them in person. When we arrived, we were greeted by Tim, the owner. Think back to days when sales people were interested in customer service: engaging, personal, knowledgable and were there to help YOU. This is Tim. He has a great energy and was excited to be helping us. We walked up and down the isles as he explained and described the features of the fridges were looking at. He was honest and transparent about the flaws of each fridge whether I asked or he volunteered the information. Since we are also interested in a new dishwasher and range, we discussed the different models, price points and advantages/disadvantages of each one as well. He informed us of what might be on sale and when so if we are not in a hurry, to wait for a better buy. I have been in customer service my whole life and it is something that is becoming a lost art. Fountain Hills is off the beaten path for many people but if you want true service with someone who is passionate about helping, I highly recommend you go see Tim. Local businesses need our support so we gave them a shot. Bought a washer and dryer. Fair prices good service. We will be going back soon for our new refrigerator

I had no idea the some Sears stores are independently owned. I found that out when I went to the hometown Sears in Fountain Hills. They seem to have a really great selection of appliances some Home Goods some tools. The lady behind the counter was very pleasant very helpful. And in a way I guess its almost like a mom and pop shop. Just connected to Sears.

I have to give a huge shout-out to a couple of Fountain Hills guys who were unbelievably brilliant and helpful today... After a problem with the delivery team who brought my fridge and dishwasher today, and left the fridge in my front room (because they dont remove a subzero - which I told them I had had out of its spot a couple of times and left me without the parts I needed to hook up the dishwasher, I called my hometown SEARS store here in Fountain Hills (where I purchased the appliances). Derek went out of his way to find someone (Paul Perreault) to come over and take out the fridge, bring the parts, and take the old dishwasher. These two guys saved my day and I am so blessed to live in a town that can pull together to solve problems... The fridge and dishwasher go to the local boy scouts for refurbishing! Bless you guys!!!

Not helpful. Tried to return an air conditioner purchased through Sears. Turns out Sears purchased it from a 3rd party. The owner called the 3rd party, but they were closed. That was it for the owner; it felt like we were practically shoved out the door, A/C and all. Wed stopped by earlier to make sure we could return the A/C to that store and the sales person was adamant that we could. Not a good experience at all.

This store sells appliances and a limited selection of hand tools. Service is good and prices are very competitive.

Purchased stove, great price, flat top and was installed in 2 days, great kenmore product, floor model..very very satisfied with service product and install...on my way back to get a new dishwasher........great local business!

Pretty decent selection of hard goods, Ive been saved in the middle of a project a couple of times by this store having just the tool that I needed to finish the job without a run into the Valley.

Purchased a full kitchen suite only to get a dishwasher that does not work after a 3 1/2 hr cycle and Tim refuses to accept return AND then to find out that he deceived me when stating I was financing the refrigerator only to find that he lied and put me on a lease of which I have already overpaid $380 of the agreed amount of $1400. The door on the refrigerator does not close properly and he refuses to fix it. I was scammed from the moment I walked in that store. WARNING DO NOT BUY HERE!

I only rated this with 3 stars because I didnt shop here. I only came because I ordered a Black Friday sale item and came to get it. It did seem to have a fair share of discounted appliances. I dont know if they were refurbished or just discontinued.
