This honestly was the best brisket I have EVER tasted..sadly the kitchen closed about 8 months ago :(..will miss the BBQ here..

I havent been I myself yet but my husband had twice, the prices are very good and hes expressed that he loved the owner... The bad news is i had read a lot of reviews and was VVERY MUCH looking forward to ordering since BBQ but apparently they closed the kitchen like three months ago ave there was NO mention online about that..... Left hungry and disappointed.. .

Man Alive, this is the Real Deal! When everybody else is preaching their hickory smoked meats Jerry Mckinzie does it right with Mesquite Wood. And let me tell ya, it makes a Big Texas-Taste Difference! Tucked inside a Liquor Store youll find a quaint Lunch Counter tradition in the long tables that are walk-up high, upon which are rolls of paper towels and about a 12 ft row of nearly every Hot Pepper Sauce known to man and with bar stools tucked up under of you prefer to sit.Jerry smokes Brisket, Ribs, Hot-Links and more and as many times as Ive visited Ive never been disappointed in the Delish-Factor of any. Generous Portions, Tasty Sides and very Fair Prices is what youll find. Jerry is quite a character too. Youll see plenty of his interesting hunting trophies on the walls, (and Jerry can tell stories about hunting them all). And just one more thing: Dont forget to order the beans, they are outstanding.Lunch times the only time so dont be late. Enjoy!

Good little hometown liquor and bbq joint. Large selection of liquors and the bbq is off the chain delicious. There in house bbq sauce is second to none and the hospitality is excellent. If you like mom and pop atmosphere; then you have to check out McKenzies, one of Ft. Worths oldest and best little liquor stores and eateries.

Wore my mask in and the rude girl behind the counter said you dont have to wear a mask, they dont do any good anyways. I was going to order some chopped bbq. She wasnt wearing gloves or a mask selling food. Should have known, they had Trump stickers everywhere. This virus is not a political hoax.

My mom worked here when I was growing up and the owner jerry is amazing a long with his food he always took care of her when she needed it most after she passed away he even came to her funeral after it had been years of her not working there

My husband was looking for another location on the same street but it was no longer there, ordered BBQ from here instead and we loved it. We have ordered twice in a 30 day span, spending well over $50 each time and it was well worth it. The ribs are very meaty and the sauce is awesome, as well as the beans just to mention a few items. We are looking forward to having a Turkey and Ham smoked for the holidays.

I got a rib plate here and it wasnt anything special. I probably wont be back it really turned me off when I saw him put my ribs in the microwave. Looking for a fall off the bone rib without the microwave effect.

While ive never bought liquor here, the Barbeque, chili and stew make it worth the trip across town to eat here. Friendly and engaging ownership and staff. I Love eating here...

Wonderful BBQ and sides....the French fries are fantastic and they give you a lot. Desserts available from cakes (oh my gosh) to brownies and also banana pudding. Friendly people and customers. Im real picky about BBQ...it cant be the sugary sweet. The only place that doesnt drown their sauce is McKenzies and Angelos. Im sticking to both. Anybody else may as well close their doors.

I just give a 2 star because of the food. The man who asked your order is rude. The young lady who made the sandwich is always mad. Plus, they have the style of a races red neck. They have sticker of Trump, Ted Cruz and the raffle. To me the sings are to much.

I try my best to please our customers spent 31/2 this morning doing that. For lunch today i decided to try this place i havent been in a while.. Right off the bat taking my order . Nothing but rude. Kinda flopped menu at me. No smile no nothing. I proceeded to be calm . And was. Google popped up while waiting on order showing reviews i tell you when i left i let them knw how great they were. Because people like that dont need to be serving anyone. Its real sad. If u dont like your job do something else. Dont ruin my lunch because u hate your job!!

What a joke! This place is a liquor store for the dumb and uneducated that somehow tries to sell BBQ. We walked in on Saturday 5/4/2019 and the place smelled like an old hotel. No one behind the cheep counter so we had to immediately walk out. Stay away!
