Boughy my mower for $250. Its a 48. Bought three waterproof ignition switches all of which started malfunctioning immediately after getting wet. This place is not going to give you a warranty whatsoever. Might as well save your cash and purchase cheap parts from anywhere but gxi
$4,647.24 Z-beast mower delivered 2/2019. Upon receipt, several dings and scratches identified; which were reported to GXi with pictures. They offered to mail me paint. I declined and said I was not going to repaint a lawnmower; and as long as it worked, I would not return it for these dings and scratches. It was not used until June. On its third use, the right drive gear would not engage and the belt frayed. 7/9/19 this was reported to GXi and was in a local shop; that had NEVER HEARD OF THIS BRAND. After 6+ hours of phone calls and emails from the local shop and myself, a belt and starter switch were received at the shop 7/23/19. The mower was in my possession 7/24/19 with a new belt and starter switch; however, I had to write a check for $194.40 in order to receive the mower as the shop had not received payment or response from GXi. (It’s under “manufacturers defect” warranty and $376.92 extended warranty was purchased.) Upon trying to run the mower the next day, the right handle would not engage AGAIN. The local shop did return my check for $194.40 since it was not fixed, but refused to work on it again. The nonworking mower was AGAIN reported to GXi on 7/25/19, at which time I requested a refund due to the ongoing problems. I received a response on 7/29/19 to take it to another local shop. I spoke with the cust srvc rep. I had been dealing with and was told if it was not fixed at this shop that it would be replaced. (GXi records their calls so all this can be verified.) It was taken to another shop on 7/30/19, which also had NEVER HEARD OF THIS BRAND, but they did do tracking adjustments since the belt had just been replaced. But again, after numerous attempts, the repairs were not paid for until 8/13/19; when the mower was able to be picked up. The VERY next day 8/14/19 when trying to mow, the right drive gear would not engage (3rd time) AGAIN. It was reported that day to GXi; and I was told to take it back to the shop I had just picked it up from (never offered a replacement, like promised). Nevertheless, it was taken back to the shop on 8/15/19; however, upon trying to load and unload it onto the trailer, the left drive gear would not engage. I expressed my concerns to the GXi “customer service” rep. on 8/15/19 and again requested a refund and to return the mower. On 8/16/19 the shop was notified by GXi to stop repairs because I wanted to return the mower (I requested this on 7/25/19 initially to GXi). I have contacted GXi every business day since 8/13/19 via phone call and email, contacted the VP of Marketing Uyen Nguyen via her cell phone and sent an email to the owner, Gordon Jackson. I HAVE REQUESTED A RETURN PHONE CALL. The response I received 8/21/19 via email from a cust srvc rep. was #1 - “GXi is here to assist you.” It’s been in a shop 3 times since 7/9/19, still does not work, and I cannot even get a return phone call. #2 - They replaced the drive belt as a “courtesy” – I WROTE A CHECK FOR THIS; which was due to a manufacturer’s defect that it frayed in the first place. #3 – “We have notes in our system to have the person that is doing the mowing to contact us”. It’s at the shop they told me to take it to; and GXi told them not to work on it. #4 – tracking adjustment videos were sent to ME to review and adjust. This was done the second time it went into the second shop. The owner of the local shop sent an email to GXi 8/21/19 wanting a plan for what to do with this mower that’s sitting in one of his bays for free; which he’s only allowing to stay at his shop right now as he wants to know what the outcome will be. Going back to 2013 with Lynn Sutton from Zebulon, NC and 5-on your side; several complaints have been filed, even on their own facebook site (which oddly says permanently closed). I am convinced this is not just MY mower that has this problem, nor am I the only one to lose thousands of dollars. How many individuals have to fall victim to their unethical, illegitimate business practices?
Poorly made equipment. Company will not honor warranties. I had to sue them in small claim court and was awarded damages.
Good people and solid machine
