Great staff excellent help lots of product to chose from found everything I need for my projects

If one is seeking employment with this company think twice. Everything looks good from the outside but within is something completely different. This company makes one believe its the dream job of a lifetime! The lack of experienced people in there is unbelievable its ran like a old style military camp, meaning you need to work and not look up and talk. This company tells you that you can take your mask off if youre fully vaccinated, but then come right back and tell you no you have to wait two weeks before taking off your mask but I remember CDC saying fully vaccinated people dont really have to even wear a mask at all in doors or in public.

This place is HUGE. It has everything you see on the Tandy website, which is really nice. Theyve never been out of stock of what I need. Plus TONS of leather. The other Tandys in the metroplex are smaller and dont have everything. Even if this is a long drive for you, its definitely worth the trip.Ive seen other people complain about customer service. Its kind of hit or miss, depending on whos working that day. Ive had some people that are really helpful and then sometimes I walk in and no one really offers to help. Its retail, so I dont expect much more than that. But thats why I took a star off.EITHER WAY, if youre going to shop at a Tandy store, THIS is the one to shop at.

I stopped off at Ft. Worth location. Customer service was horrible. There were 5 to 6 people standing f around talking while the cashier struggled to get things to ring up. She didn’t even get everything done and had to redo it in two transactions. She kept asking for help and then started getting an attitude with me out of frustration. She finally got some random man to help her print a receipt. He said he would go ask and he left the store. Unbelievable. I used to really like this store because they were so helpful. Sad to see a Texas company fall apart.

Went to buy some leather for a project today, I entered the store and I am pretty sure that I was the only customer in what appears to be 16k sq ft space. There was an employee on the right of the counter that had her mask completely pulled down exposing her nose and her mouth and the other employee to the left then pulled her mask down to tell me I needed to have a mask. The hypocrisy was simply to much, either the policy is adhered to by both the employees and patrons or it is not, based on my initial observation they simply demand it of others while failing to do it themselves.

Beautiful store! Clean and very well lit. The displays are well placed and it is easy to see all products. If you love leather crafting this is a candy store for you! The staff were all very nice and knowledgeable. Pricing is reasonable and fair, and the selection is phenomenal. I am a beginner leather crafter and the store associate who helped me was so patient and kind and took the time to answer all of my questions, make suggestions, and even educate me on quite a few things. I told her what my project was, and what it was for, and she showed me exactly where everything i needed was. I would definitly recomend this store.

This is a specialty store, given that, the prices are very reasonable and if leather works is a hobby of yours they have membership tiers that can save you additional money.

Staff was very very helpful and happy to help. They were all very knowledgeable and new every detail of their store. Prices were great as well!

I have not been working with leather for very long but each time I come in everyone is very helpful with any type of project. Great quality and fair prices.

I never write reviews, but Tandy has some the best customer service so I felt I should say something about it. My latest experience in particular inspired me to write this review. I was passing through Fort Worth and needed some supplies so I decided to check out store 4. Very nice store btw. The employee that helped me find what I needed was an absolute delight! I believe her name was Kat. Its so refreshing to be helped by someone who actually practices the craft and can talk shop with a light sense of humor. From the time I set foot in the store to the time she completed my transaction...A++++ experience. Thank you Tandy for always hiring such knowledgeable and helpful staff!

Went in not knowing much about leather working and explained to cat/Kat (unsure how she spells it) what I was needing and she quickly showed me what would be best options. She did this quickly and answered all of my questions and made me feel welcome as a newcomer to the leatherworking world! Ill be coming back for any leather needs!

I have been buying leather supplies from Tandy since 1989 and today I will no longer be a custom. Drove 2 hours one way to get some thing because they can never get my online order correct and would not let me use their restroom. Along with the Drastic drop in customer service and quality of supplies. I am done.

Worst customer service ever, this place in this location (Ft Worth) is not in the business of selling their products. We came on Sunday Jan. 12 2020 around 2ish p.m, No customers just the so called sales person who was sitting upfront and from the looks of it, she looked like she was painting her nails, not sure. She did not greet us, no eye contact when we came in. My husband goes up to her and tells her he is interested in getting into leather crafting but doesnt know where to start. He wants to make a radio holder for his work radio as he is a fireman and needs something to hold his device. The lady just points to where the tools are and leather and that it. Goes back to painting her nails or who knows what. My husband walks around for 40 minutes and at no time does she offer assistance, not asking, is there anything I can help you with? Just sitting there. I mean if someone who was dishonest wanted to steal, they could, since she is not aware of her surroundings, hope they have cameras for thieves because she sux. Such a waste of a 45 min drive. My husband was hoping to begin this project today and was hoping to purchase some materials, but why waste our money on a place that isnt willing to sell their products or offer assistance. Its best to just watch YouTube videos and buy stuff from Amazon or a place that is willing to make a sale.

Love the LEATHER smell!!! Took my Mother and we had a great time. We went to purchase one thing and then ended up loosing ourselves in leather. All of the associates were well versed in their craftsmanship of leather, very helpful, easy place to spend $500.00. Never fear they have a MILITARY DISCOUNT that you can take advantage of if it applies to you. If you go on Wednesday and wear a red shirt you get $5.00 off your purchase. So much to see, too little time to see it all! We were there so long we had to go get lunch!

I would like to start this by saying that I am a beginner at tooling leather. I have watched several YouTube videos, but it is not the same and actually working with leather. I had also spoken with several people in my local area, which is Waxahachie Texas. I was told that Tandy Leather would be an excellent place to get some guidance.I was very disappointed today with the customer service at Fort Worths Tandy Leather store #4. When I arrived, around 2:30 pm, the lady that was behind the counter did not greet or acknowledge me or either one of my family members. It was not until I was standing at the counter waiting for her to knowledge me that she did, apparently she was busy painting something, as to what it was I dont know. Also, my wife and son and I were the only customers in the store at the time when I arrived. I informed her that I was new to working with leather and never have done so before . I then informed her of a project that I had in mind and was looking for some guidance as how to proceed. She merely pointed out some leathers that would be good for the project, then pointed out the wall opposite of where the leather was that all the buckles, rivits, snaps and tools that I would need are over there. I wandered the store for approximately 30 or 40 minutes. Finally I just thought whats the point. If the store is not wanting to offer me guidance or help why should I spend my hard-earned money here.You would think after I informed her that I did not have any firsthand knowledge of working with leather, that she would have offered more guidance. No, she merely went back to doing what ever she was doing before. I would like to think that this is not how Tandy Leather stores normally operate, but my very first experience with Tandy Leather was not a favorable one.I would also like to add, that after about 15 or 20 minutes of being in the store one other customer did arrive, but left fairly quickly after arriving.

I really love this store and the staff, the lady very friendly she help me a lot to find all the tools for my project, she explain me everything, the different kinds of leathers, and the best choices, I speak spanish so she was very patient with my bad English, there was a women too and she also help me to find another tools, she went out of her way to help and even try to speak Spanish for me

Good luck getting assistance if you need it. No one greets you when you enter, unlike other stores Ive visited. And never mind if your item rings up the wrong price! Youll only be told there is no manager to assist you, (go figure), furthermore, youll be told that you can take it or leave it & you can put the item back. Thanks, Ill gladly continue to drive much further from my house the the friendly location on Denton Hwy in Keller!

This was my first trip to the new store and will definitely Not be my last! Always quality products but the customer service was OUTSTANDING. The employees were courteous and very knowledgeable of the products the sell! Worth every minute of my time!!! Thank you Tandy Leather!

I always have a great time at Tandy. The smell of the leather is just awesome and the help from the pretty girl who assisted me was absolutely 5 star.I dont buy enough there to justify a gold card but the price difference is not that significant that it matters.

First there is the aroma of tanned leather as you walk in the door. Then the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about all the products that they sell. They have classes to learn techniques and just overall there is a general air of we want you here.

Its a shame that the flagship store is so lackluster. Very rarely do they offer any neat classes ive seen from other Tandy stores. This Saturday class was a holster and I called to reserve a spot and was told, oh its been canceled, why even bother scheduling? This happens all the time! Staff is meh, not overly friendly for a place where people are spending hundreds of dollars. Save the trip and go to the watauga store!

Ive been using Tandy for quite some time and all of a sudden their top quality leather (European single bend) has gone quite low quality-wise to the point where my local store said Can I send you our best Oak piece instead? All our European single bends are kind of... not great. I dont know whats going on with quality control at the warehouse...Tried contacting head office twice about this issue as my company needs high quality leather for the products we make and so far no response to my messages.Why have an Elite card when I cant even get the product I need or get any response as to why?Id probably give more stars if Tandy bothered to message me back.

Overpriced goods from China. You have to have a paid membership to get the real price for their products. Lots of other shops out there offering products at fair prices for better quality.

The 1 1/2 inch belt buckles arent 1 1/2 inches!?? Just wished Tandy would pay more attention to what they are selling!!! Now I have to figure out what to do with my belts!??

What an awesome store for leather crafting.

The museum, located in the Tandy Leather headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, contains an amazing collection from the late Al Stohlman, American leather crafter and artist. If visiting the Dallas-Fort Worth area, it is definitely worth visiting the Al Stohlman collection.
