My cousin and I tried this place for the first time. We ordered a drink from their Fall Seasonal Menu. I can’t remember the name, it was #2 on the menu. It was delicious! We can’t wait to go back to try something else.
The staff @rootscoffeehouse 💕☕ phenomenal! The coffee & menu items here are amazing. I love lavender so the Summer menu 🎯! Great atmosphere for quick meetups however quiet enough to get in a great work/study session. I highly recommend this coffee house for their great hospitality, service and overall fantastic and consistent product. I believe all the baristas knows my order. That says a lot!
Love love love this shop! Everyone was super nice, and this area just makes my heart so happy! Literally the second I pulled off of the highway I felt like I was in an area of Kansas City where Im from and it made me feel like I was home. The exterior is completely eye catching. You cant miss it and it. One youre inside its even better because the decor is so beautiful. I cant get over the velvet bench seat and the stamped logo on the wood tables! Their menu items are not only seasonal, but INCLUSIVE! They have gluten free and vegan items which I love! I cant even remember the last time Ive had a brownie at a coffee shop because I eat plant based, but they have a vegan brownie here, as well as tons of other options! My latte was amazing! I need pick up a bag of that coffee the next time Im in that area. I cannot wait to continue to explore this part of FW and am so glad I kicked it off with Roots Coffeehouse.
Coffee is pretty good. Seems like everyone there is always studying so seems pretty relaxing.
Roots is hands down my favorite coffee shop in Ft Worth. They have a rotating seasonal menu and a potent permanent selection as well. This coffee shop always pushes me to try new and exciting things while also boasting a firm grasp on just simple, good coffee. Any time I am in the neighborhood, I drop in.
There are lots of coffee houses in the South Main area (and not much further on Magnolia). Roots makes itself stand out with some great flavors and craft coffee. Had an Irish-inspired coffee that was delightful and my wife had a latte infused with lavender that was also quite memorable. It’s a smaller place but offers outdoor seating if you feel a bit cramped so it makes the most of the space. Coffee was excellent and the barista obviously took a lot of care in making in, also had an excellent attitude and customer service. It can be hard to choose, but when there are this many good coffee places in one area, we all win thanks to good choices.
Nice local coffee shop. Small menu. I like the seasonal drinks. The cuban coffee is also good. They have different milk options which my friends really appreciate. Their homemade magic milk is good in anything. I like that they have stars and give discounts for your birthday!
Very nice place. I go here to have a peaceful environment to study. I miss Kelly!
I love this coffee shop! Knowing the excellent reputation and following Roots has at its NRH location, I can’t wait to see what this new location will bring to the Fort Worth area. I was very impressed by the modern vibe of the place that still managed to be cozy and very inviting. The coffee is excellent and they have a good variety of seasonal and standard drink options to choose from. Also, this Roots location, like NRH, has a commitment to sustainable products and partners with local vendors as a rule. And make sure you try the avocado toast - it is amazing!
I love Roots because their drinks and food are consistently delicious. They make their syrups in-house and you can taste the difference. Definitely try the mocha or the hazel if you go! They also offer a lot of gf/vegan options made in-house, and bonus: everything they serve is compostable.
Absolutely loved my wildwood latte and Bryan was so nice and helpful!
Awesome Lil place. Parking on site. Great friendly service. Good coffee. Fantastic attention to detail. And attentive service. Alt Milk selections. Very fast. Great pastries. Will return again.
We went on a 3 day coffee tour and this place was by far our favorite not only was the staff super welcoming the clementine season mocha was excellent! From the design to the drinks A++ great job y’all
I have thoroughly enjoyed every trip to Roots. The staff is so kind and friendly. The lemon orange cake is to die for! When paired with a hot honey vanilla latte, you will be transported into fall bliss! The decor is modern, artistic, and cozy. My favorite coffee shop in Fort Worth hands down.
Nice cozy coffee shop to study and chat at!
Tiny little place, good coffee, and cozy vibe to chill at.
Very cute place. Friendly helpful staff. Delicious coffee ☕.
EDIT: After more visits, I have become increasingly underwhelmed by the downtown location. About half of the time that I order a drip, it is very overextracted. One time is a fluke, but five times in three weeks is poor quality control.V60 Ethiopian Natural pourover: well executed, no complaints. Would possibly taste better on a Phoenix 70 due to noting, but was very pleasant. This new Roots location combines the atmosphere of Novel and Edison in Flower Mound, and transplanted it in Southside Fort Worth. Its smaller than the NRH location, but it is less cozy and more vibrant, like many other Fort Worth third wave shops.Novel Coffee Roasters is on display here for sure, and that is a plus. Novel recently rebranded from Trio, and in doing so stepped up their artisan game. This is a good mash up for Roots. The only thing missing is a coffee lab in their vacant space. Word on the street is that the other half is going to become a co-working spot, which is my worst nightmare. Craftwork in Fort Worths one tick against its otherwise great company is its co-working, and I hate to see Roots follow suit.
This place is awesome! What a little gem. The coffee was divine. He foxy grilled cheese was out of this world and the ambiance was charming. Easy to access from the interstate.
I recently moved from Denver and have been trying to find a good place to study. When I walked in, I instantly felt like I was back home! Its pretty small and not the most cozy to work in if you plan on staying long, but regardless it was super nice inside.I wasnt able to try and drinks/food, but it seems like they have a big selection and the woman working was super nice. Also Iove the green couches. Would recommend and Ill be back!
Great location and great coffee. I work here a lot and can spend all day here. I enjoy this place a lot. My wife and I have enjoyed the online order pick up process and it’s so easy. Love this place!
These people know how to pull one mean espresso shot. Big fan. Very big fan.
Awesome coffee shop! Parking in the area is a bit rough, but the drinks are worth it.
Quiet alternative to other coffee shops in the area.
The coffee here is decent but I have to give a poor review to the service, its 30° outside and I had a brought some food from a local place around the corner. But they wouldnt let me eat inside so I had to sit outside in a 30° temperature and eat.
The coffee shop itself is tiny but it was a beautiful day so we were able to grab one of the few tables outside. Our drinks were delicious.
I love roots coffeehouse out on highway 26 and I had to go and check out the one in Fort Worth and I love the exterior and the inside is a small space, but they do have a outdoor patio! Love their tea I tried, its very refreshing!
Beautiful little coffee shop!
Friendly, helpful staff, delicious drinks and a great atmosphere. Will definitely be back
Great coffee and friendly people!
Great coffee with really friendly staff! The Cuban was a favorite! Really nice place to chill and cool off from the Texas heat!
Nice quiet place, coffee is good as well.
Came in to try with some friends. Service wasn’t the best but drinks did come out fast. Limited seating but very cute space! Espresso is definitely an acquired taste.
Friendly baristas, and expertly crafted coffee.
Lovely facade. Great environment. The coffee was seriously lacking attention however. Definitely won’t be returning.
Lowkey best beans in Fort Worth. highly recommend coming here for home use.
I used to go to the other location a lot. I like this new location too. The coffee is very good and the people are nice. They play good music too. The WiFi password is: rootscoffee
Try their avocado toast its delicious
A nice atmosphere, but really small. Im VERY disappointed that they didnt have a changing table. My friend had to change a diaper on the bathroom floor. :(
They always have incredible vegan options which I really appreciate!
Love this new coffeehouse! Great addition to South Main area.
Great space and awesome coffee. If you cant get to the NRH location, this is a great option
Been a patron at nrh for years and waited in excitement for fort worth to open. Made a special trip to go there. Yall. Parking was an afterthought. Disappointed to see this area and new building for this shop following suit of 7th and magnolia with very limited street parking with tons of walking. Circling a building for a Parking spot to get coffee isnt something I do or else id have been going to Avoca more in the interim.. Not friendly for people with mobility issues to access roots and makes it difficult for people with small children as well. As delicious as your coffee is: and it really is the best in FW, this location was a total swing and miss. Not cozy but too small with very limited seating and bad parking= I guess my excited waiting was for not.
Coffee and tea are fantastic! Chill atmosphere
Great ambience and amazing coffee
The best oat latte in town!
Very small but beautiful and lovely coffee
