Ammo is back in stock! This Academy location has a limit of 4 boxes per customer. This might not be as much as you want but the limit makes it available for everyone, I can understand this policy. If you need more just visit every day. When I visited they had most popular calibers but no .45 ACP

I enjoy going to this Academy off Bryant Irvin. Its close to home and usually semi packed but nothing too extreme to where you cant find parking. Ammunition is stocking up again. Handguns are becoming readily more available. It has great prices on summer wear, swimwear and everything in between. Its kept relatively clean and the workers thus far have worn masks while also not requiring patrons to wear them.

My mother went to purchase her first fire arm from academy on Bryant Irvin in Ft Worth. She was told there was a delay on the background check. Which was expected since she’s first time buyer. Federal law only has a 72 hour delay. Academy however said they won’t sell it before 30 days. I called and asked them to cancel the application. I was laughed at and hung up on several times. As a lawyer I’m used to people being idiots. But, when I called and asked for the store manager named Jasmine, she acted the same way. She lied to me. She laughed at me, she was rude, she wouldn’t answer my questions. Being in customer service, AND the store manager, you would think she would know how to talk to a customer and de-escalate the situation. Instead she did the exact opposite. This kid doesn’t belong in customer service especially management. I’m currently on hold with the corporate office working to have get terminated. And it will happen. I have shopped at academy for YEARS. Never again. Jasmine should be ashamed of herself. Maybe get a job that doesn’t involve dealing with people

If you value customer service, I would recommend another location.Management & cashiers ( Monica) will rush you through your whole process while checking out, rude, inconsiderate of customers time, all while having a conversation.

The location isn’t bad besides the fact they are constantly out of merchandise which I understand but what I can’t accept is after picking a 170$ cooler with an associate in the back and she checks the inside of my cooler and the cashier does as well which is okay but for the second time as I’m walking out I get literally stared down by the same lady as if I’m stealing or something and she Is always at the front door. She never speaks and just stares at you so intensely that you almost have to say something and for the second time now I’ve had this lady stare me down like she hates me for being a man or for having color on my skin and then when I say something to her like how’s it going or how’s your day she rolls her eyes to be honest I probably want ever return to this location because of her she is very rude and shouldn’t be at the front door greeting customers leaving or entering it makes the whole experience horrible.

Gotta get there when they stock cause they sell out of stuff quick

The dressing room attendant closed the dressing room to customers 45 minutes before closing and refused to allow anyone to try on clothing. Is this the best way to sell clothing? Not for me! Several items immediately went back on the rack. I will go to another Academy that wants my business! Crazy way to make sales and expect return business.

Went today to have a security tag removed because they left it on my on line order. The lady at the front was so extra. She yanked the bag away from me and made it seem like i just got caught with stolen merchandise. She walked up to the register and had them remove it and walked back holding the boots up in the air. She was way to dramatic. Let me just add this isn’t the first time I’ve purchased things from Academy and they forget to remove the security tags. We shouldn’t have to drive back to get this stuff removed. Cashiers need to be more cautious.

This one is worth the drive. Much better selection as compared to the one in NRH.

Finally found some ammo that wasnt being price gouged. But dont be fooled people the rest of the ammo on self was double the online price.

This store is always clean, the staff is helpful and kind, and they stay stocked with items.

This store has only 1 handy cap driving cart. The staff are not friendly. If given a choice to shop there or with a competitor l would gladly choice the competitor.

Great experience at the store. Staff was very helpful and friendly. My last trip here was not so good but today I did my shopping and got what I needed for my kids and I with help from friendly staff members who were very helpful and pointed me to the right direction. Thanks

Texas Dove season is just around the corner. They have half a million rounds of shotgun shells. I went to purchase a case of 12 gauge for myself and a case of 20 gauge for 11 year old son. The cashier said they had a daily limit of one case per customer. I ask her how my son was supposed to practice today if we couldnt buy his 20 gauge shells. She just looked as me and said only one case Where has the common sense gone in our society. My money will be going elsewhere, I suggest the same to you.

I really like all the BCG womens athletic wear that they carry. Its good quality clothing and I really like the t-shirts.

Checked out is the worse. On my last two visits, I go to a lighted check-out lane, and there is no employee there. Walking around to another check-out lane that has a return or very large purchase, meanwhile, the person at the customer service desk calls over a customer that has just walked up. I go to another lighted lane, no employee at the register. An employee who was away from the register, I hear them say, I can help you on register four which is where I’m standing.I’m a short person, but this has happened here the last two visits.Twice a man from behind the customer service desks walks over to the register with lane light on and turns it to a blinking light and never acknowledges me standing at the register. On two different occasions.

Had an FFL Transfer and they called me the next day once they received it and Jon Fry and Warren were real helpful and informative and made it an smooth acquirement .

This location is the best in my opinion. The workers are normally very helpful and this location is always clean. Even before the pandemic it was like that at this location. Other locations I have went to are not up to this stores standards as for customer service and cleanliness.

A lady named Teneke was great. It sounds unfair, but she helped us without interruption for quite some time. From finding the right size, to measuring the feet of my 2 kids. Although they didnt have anything we wanted (and typically the kids that work there are inept), she made going back a no-brainer.

The last two times my husband was in this location (which he goes to 2-3 times a week) he was profiled and discriminated against. The first time an older sales associate (named Greg) decided to hover over him and walk up and down each aisle with him while he was looking at fishing lures. Greg proceeded to be very rude and disrespectful to the point where my husband brought this issue up to the supervisor in the fishing section who said Greg’s behavior would be addressed. Last night our whole family stopped in so my husband could purchase a new reel and once again the treatment was horrible. Dee was rude and completely unwilling to help when my husband asked to see the reels in the case. After he decided on one I asked Dee if we could purchase it at the fishing counter (there were other items we needed to look at for purchase) he said nothing and only pointed to the front registers. He walked our family up to the front and stood in the long line with us with the reel behind his back telling us this was “store protocol”. It was an embarrassing and degrading situation our family to be put in. We have purchased other reels from this store and not once have we ever been escorted up to the front register and had the store associate stand in line with us waiting to check out. Dee was more concerned about us than the fact that a guy walking out of the store with arms full of merchandise just set off the alarm.

Staff was great. I was allowed to bring my dog in and nobody said anything about her not being able to be here. Some of the workers even smiled and talked to her. Anyway, this place IS pet friendly.

Tons of people reorganizing shelfs and not helping customers

Its my first time visiting this particular store. I was returning some items ordered online. The customer service representative who assisted me was personable, friendly and efficient. Whereas the variety of items I was looking for, for my upcoming camping trip in particular, was not available. I believe theres more variety if I go on their website and order online. Thats what I was planning to do. Overall a pleasant visit

Stay away from the Academy Sports and Outdoor credit card offered by Comenity Bank. I made a purchase for $16.21 and ended up paying $38.42 in fees and interest, worst credit card I ever signed up for cancelled it in under 4 months because the fees are so outrageously high. Shame on Academy for using Comenity Banks credit card service instead of looking after their customers. I wont shop at Academy again after this experience.

Out of a lot of things. Restroom was nasty, mens Restroom was closed with a porta potty out front of the store!

As a customer and delivery driver, I just had an absolute garbage experience with Marcie Thompson at the location on Cityview in Fort Worth. This lady met me at the door screaming at me about how she had to wait for her delivery when our stores are located behind one another. She waited for 30 minutes, and when I arrived at your location she started yelling and screaming at me in front of your customers. This is absolutely unacceptable, and as a customer who frequents your establishment, this is very upsetting. I do not believe you hire people to be like that, and for her to treat a customer and a delivery driver like that...

Everyone was very helpful but not hovering over you. They were there in sight when I needed help finding shoes! Excellent!!!

Staff is helpful, but does not enforce face covering rule. Several customers did not have face coverings on and were not made to put them on inside the store.

Very limited exercise equipment... hit and miss due to covent19.Pretty good selection of shorts and shirts for men. Somewhat less for Women.Lots of time to find larger sizes, but they are sanitizing their dressing rooms, and allowing you to try on your clothes, unlike many dept stores!

Warren in Firearms & Archery is very rude. Gets busy all of a sudden slamming things, not welcoming at all.

This Academy Sport make me extremely happy. I found a handgun that I was looking for and the price was perfect. The staff during this transaction made this the most pleasant experience possible. I know for a fact that Academy on Bryant Irvin in Fort Worth has had at least three positive cases of covid- 19 among its employees, I want to know why they are not testing the rest of there employees. They need to be taking this more seriously and protecting their. staff

Probably a result of COVID issues, but the normally well stocked fishing lure section looked bare. Same for guns and ammo. Would advise calling before you go.
