The service was great. From the first phone call to them walking me through the flim development process. The staff were friendly from the moment I walked in. Im looking forward to going back in a week or so.

All the clerks were awesome. Aside from that, ouch! Long story short, I paid over $200 for my film to be developed and scanned. After a month, I received an email with my black as white film scans and had doubles. As per the conversation I had with the clerk, my film was never labeled as advised and it was never mailed as requested. I informed Fort Worth Camera about the scans and I was told to go through the scans and let them know which ones were double scanned. I told them, not to worry about it (even though I paid this service) and I would pick up my negatives. Due to the multiple phone calls about where my negatives where, the length of time to receive the scans and amount of money I paid for the service, I was burnt. I took a day off from work and picked up my film, which was rolled (big no no). I’m a willing to spend more money for quality and service, but I was very disappointed. I’ll give Fort Worth camera another shot and change my rating after a second go around, but as of now I’ll stick to my own film developing.

5 star for service! Natalie was extremely patient and knowledgeable. Anything she didnt know she said so and she quickly went to find out from the owner or her phone.As for store inventory, really wish they had more Fuji lenses and cameras to try out or even rent. Saying that i was very grateful for the Xpro 3 and 18mm f2 and 35mm 1.4 they had in display.There was ALOT of options for camera bags though, i got to try out many Peak Design, Wandrd and proMaster products. Store was laid out in a chic manner, not like a Bestbuy store. It made the feel more personal.Will definetely return here because Dallas doesnt have a camera store like this.

Excellent service. Management is smart to have so many staff on hand. Gives them the ability to really focus on each guest making it an experience rather than a transaction.Everyone on the team stopped chatting on my arrival and greeted me. They kept an eye on me while I wandered around offering assistance but not being pushy. They did this with all guests.Natalie did a great job of finding me exactly what I wanted even though I wasnt able to fully verbalize it. She also found an accessory I hadnt been expecting and Im delighted she presented it. It was definitely not something I would have discovered on my own.I had brought about $200 in filters to the counter. Instead of letting me walk with these, she helped me understand which kind I was looking for and to start with one for my main lens instead of buying for all of my indoor lenses too.Towards the end of my visit they got very busy and you could tell the staff really cared that anyone might feel they werent being taken care of. They communicated with each other well and everyone jumped to attention. Any guest that didnt have someone assigned to them were still acknowledged and given an estimate of when they would be taken care of. If a quick answer could be given, it was showing great flexibility and confidence by the team. Hopefully the staff realizes guests can see and that guests do appreciate this rare level of care!I would say overall, it was a great experience and I will be back for any future needs.

Love this shop but the film developing process was unacceptable for the price. The employee that handled my order seemed very unknowledgeable on how to handle the order properly. I gave them two rolls of film, I received the scans from one of the rolls in two weeks and was satisfied with the scans and the presentation of the negatives. But the second roll of film was seemingly lost in their system.It took multiple calls, several in person visits, being bounced from employee to employee, Promised updates that never came, and even being sent scans from a strangers summer vacation before I finally received the final package. The whole process took about a month and my client for the project was less then enthused.The final scans where poorly done and every photo has dust or something on the left side of it. I really like this shop but for the price they ask for film developing is too high for the hassle and subpar scans i receive.

They had me calling every day trying to see what happened to my print, the day of the event they did not have the print ready. I was nicely to give them another week after the event they still did not reach the deadline waited three weeks for a 24x30 and at the end of the day just got a refund back. Highly recommend going somewhere else

We just stopped in here because we were visiting the Dallas area and my husband is a photographer, but they were super nice here! Everyone was really helpful and they have a great collection of cameras displayed. I like the little classroom/learning center they have in the back. Hip place, nice people, would recommend.

This long lived Fort Worth institution survives because of consistent supply and well trained staff. I worked with Ross who offered knowledgeable service and professional kindness. The selection is top notch and the store is clean and welcoming. Highly recommend them to novices or pros.

Ive never been treated worse by any camera shop. I worked at Gassers camera in San Francisco. I also was a manager for Ritz Camera (San Mateo) and Precision Camera (Austin). I also owned a studio in San José.Again, the management at Fort Worth Camera treated me very poorly and I dont plan to ever shop there. Even though I live in Fort Worth, I drive to Arlington Camera to do thousands of dollars of business. Great people there. Just sayn.

I bought my first lens yesterday (a Tamron 18-400mm) and hoping I have years of happiness and experience with it! Plus I decided to also buy whats called a monopod hoping it will help me in certain photography situations. I dont know, well see. The guy I always speak with is great because hes kind and helpful. Im sorry but I didnt get his name. Ive bought my first and only camera bag from here (a medium sized Peak Design) and so far its been perfect for me!

I am very much an amateur photographer by all means Of the word AMATEUR. I used to take countless photos in my younger days LEFT IT BEHiND TWO DECADES AGO. I have a new sense of passion for taking photos of nature.I found Fort Worth Camera online but I knew it was the place where I could get all my questions answered and buy a good camera (not cheap but this thing can take pictures of the moon and itll last me years.)Anthony was such a sweetheart. He lead a lost confused photographer at heart to exactly the right equipment needed to go film the Aurora Borealis on my vacation.If you cant get Anthony then ask for Holly. She has strength if character and can do Aura about her. if both of them are busy then anyone in that store, right up to the owner, is a trustworthy person and will lead anyone to all their photography needs, even if it isnt in that wonderful store on 1600 Montgomery in fort Worth.....they will give you advice on where to find it.5 thousand stars for this place if I could.If you have photography needs, look no further.They answered all my prayers for a new camera.Those who work in this place definitely have patience for the AMATEUR and Id bet a few tricks and tips for any PROFESSIONAL.

This new store is EPIC. Maybe the best in the state. Since the beginning, the kind gentlemen at Fort Worth Camera have taken THE BEST care of me. When I started out, I used to spend hours on end researching the best bang for the buck gear to buy, waiting days or weeks for it to ship, trying to use it only to find out I wasted hundreds on the wrong purchase. 🤦🏻‍♂️Now I just go into fw camera and in less than a few minutes my questions are answered (by a friendly face who cares) and Im out the door and on to the gig. There still is a reason to leave your internet shopping home and that reason is Fort Worth Camera. ⚡⚡⚡Come in and find Marvin, Mackenzie, Jeff or Bruce; hell all of them are friendly and know their stuff. No question they have a large selection of nice equipment but when they send you an email trying to get you to sell them used gear or trade up??? You would be better off taking it to Pawn Stars. My parting remark was I came here to sell some cameras and lenses, not to get robbed Both Nikon and Canon. The Nikon gear is less than 6 months old and though Im smart enough to know Ill never get what I paid for it but to be offered less than 1/3 its value is frankly insulting. I had purchased an extension tube a few months ago which is why I WAS on their email list. It was overpriced but I figured after I paid shipping to buy it elsewhere it would come close so I just bought it. Ill not darken their doorstep again. I gave them 2 Stars to reflect a decent selection.

I am a professional photographer and own two photography businesses. Ive visited camera stores from B&H in New York to Sammys Camera in San Francisco. The worst ever in person experience I ever had at a camera store was here. I had just wrapped up a contract outside of Dallas and was looking to sell/ trade in some secondary gear that I no longer needed after the contract. This store was the only one open on my way to my next stop that bought used gear camera. I told the woman I had talked to I would be there around thirty minutes. I ended up getting there close to fifty because of a car accident on 80 and was berated by the same woman immediately before I could even explain why I had been late. Another employee then attempted to give me lowball appraisals of my equipment, made up excuses to justify such and ultimately only offered me about 20% of the resale value for the equipment. In short, buyer beware. This is not the place to sell used equipment or where Id conduct my business. Thank God I was only passing through.

This. Store. Is. Phenomenal. I recently went in and bought a Nikon D850. I am thrilled with my purchase so far but here’s the amazing part about all of this. I bought the camera and returned home to immediately start using it, three hours later I get a call from the salesman (I believe his name was Bill). He informed me that there was a special that both of us had overlooked on the camera and because I purchased it I also got a free battery grip (not a cheap accessory). He set one aside for me and I was able to pick it up today. In today’s world, this honesty blows me away. It would have been so easy for him to just shrug that off and I would have never known. I have always shopped around for camera equipment but Fort Worth Camera has earned 100% of my business from here on out. Props to the owner Jeff for hiring such a great staff, I hope I am able to shake your hand next time I come in.

Ive been a Fort Worth professional photographer working in media since 1991. I messaged FWC this week asking if they had a lens in stock. They replied that they did, and I responded by saying I would be in later that day. I entered the store to find several employees, one at the counter helping a customer near the lens I wanted. I stood ( 6 ft away of course ) in line for this sales person (female) for about five minutes, she never looked at me or said someone will be right with you. Other employees were busy but not with customers. By now there were an additional 4-5 people who had entered all standing around waiting for help. I browsed the equipment near the lens case and stood back in my spot. After 10 minutes I left. The lens was over $2000. I can order online for $100 less but I wanted to shop local. This is the second strange experience Ive had with Fort Worth Camera. The first was 3 years ago when I purchased a new camera body, which I discovered after powering up that it had been used. The first owner had input their meta data into the camera. I called them and was told that they returned that body because it malfunctioned. Not the professionalism I need after doing business for 20 years. I have purchased everything from Nikon bodies and lenses to lighting equipment and accessories, remote slaves for lighting, backgrounds, cases and a drone. Back to BH Photo.

As a professional in the DFW market for more than 30 years and having lived through the Film to Digital conversion, my advice to this great store...Keep your Employees MODEST.Ive purchased THOUSANDS of dollars worth of gear from Ft. Worth camera over the years.My last visit was met by snobby, snooty employees. O well, Online is much easier and less expensive. Bye Bye Ft Worth Camera.

Great local camera store. They have Nikon, Canon, Sony, etc and sell more than just cameras and lenses. Their accessories are endless and they gave studio space for rent. I love taking classes here. The staff is never pushy, they usually give you options for what to purchase when youre looking for something.

To bad you cant give 0 stars. When we asked for a manager, we were told maybe. Later on in the conversation come to find out he is the owner. And then to use Covid-19 as an excuse. Just wow. I own my own company and would never treat a customer like that. Understandably, everyone is going through a tough time however now is the time to go above and beyond to keep the customers coming especially when photographers start getting more income.

Fort Worth Camera is a great place. Big issue I have with this location is it seems like a satellite to the Main shop. The store is small with a little product on display in the peer to be more focused on Repair and maintenance and they do on sales. I find this to have to be excellent in knowledge and help and I have printed many lenses from them in the past and will continue to do so in the future. However I would say if you were looking to buy product you may be better suited taking the drive to their main location.

While asking advise on buying a wide angle lens at the front counter the sales person seemed annoyed that I was not more knowable if my camera. Then give a cheap solution which another sales person said was wrong and recommend I rent one first to see if it fits my needs. I called a few days later to rent it and they wont take my cc over the phone and I had to be there in person to pick it up. So I found an online rental place and later bought 2 sigma 12-24mm f/4 lens off Amazon. Which I would have bought from Fort Worth Camera if they were more friendly and knowledgeable.

Lots of stuff in here to choose from. I was looking for a vertical grip that isnt very common anymore and they had one in stock. The wall behind the register is full of really cool new and vintage gear. The staff I met with were very knowledgeable, too.

We found some super old negatives in the garage from the 1950s. They were able to salvage them and digitize them! Outstanding work!

Staff are extremely friendly and ready to help me as soon as I walked in the door. The new store is BEAUTIFUL. It made me want to make a cup of coffee and pull me up a table & chair and work from there, lots of windows and sunlight! I was warmly greeted as I walked in the door. This particular day, there was even a Sony display station set up and an employee from Sony readily available to answer any questions.

My dad had some negatives from the 1960s and they scanned they and made 8x10s of them. He had no photos off his friends he grew up with left. He is now 85 and the only one left in the group of 3 since theother 2 are passed on. This shop made him a happy old man by being able to do that for him. Thanks a bunch

Very upset about the execution of services yesterday.1. I specifically asked for sensitivity with my photos. My Photos were packaged with them facing outward, exposing my photos.2. I went to FW Camera because of the quality and richness of color. If I wanted a drug store quality photo, I would have printed them there. The color was off, all photos much darker than they are on digital copy, and dull.3. Whoever prints photos, 4x6 didnt orient the photo to match the size, cutting off parts of the picture. Basically I feel they did not take the time to execute a product for the customer.I was so upset...time effort to get photos taken, selecting photos process, and to have to now go somewhere else.I have gotten photos before from Fort Worth Camera and was very pleased. I am not sure what happened. The customer service was great and I felt the worker understood everything I asked and went out of her way to help me. I heard her communicate my sensitivity issue I really believe the breakdown was on the execution and attention to detail. Frankly, I am too embarrassed to return to address in person.P.

The experience for anyone walking through the doors for Fort Worth Camera is a sense of wonder.Ive always shopped online, solo, without human interaction.This place gives you an experience that makes you wonder if convience was every really worth it. I collect antiques, they have vast knowledge on them!I shoot with a Canon 6D, they have every accessory Ive dreamt of and they will teach you how to use them.I have yet to take any of their classes they offer but Im dying to.From beginners to old pros, this place is a hub of knowledge and variety. It is a community that embraces your enthusiasm to try new things or to learn old things.I can not recommend a visit enough, just walking through the building gives a sense of value and depth.Go by, take a look, fall in love.

I was so excited to get to visit the new Fort Worth Camera - beautiful building and I could only imagine the work they did inside. My first visit with them for a product Id asked to be put on hold ended up being sold and they were hesitant to inform me (thus I had to check in with them to get a status update). Im pretty bummed that the customer service and communication isnt where it should be. I wouldve loved to have been a repeat customer. Dont judge a book by its appealing cover in this case...

Great shop and the new location is real nice and fancy. Should be noted that they dont rent Sony products. So dont have your gear fall apart on you and need to rent from them if youre a Sony shooter.

This is a camera store for professionals that cant or dont want to wait for something order online to be delivered. Im glad this wasnt the first camera store I ever visited, because the blandness would have turned me off to the art. They had what I needed. Only new and only one brand, no selection. Most camera shops carry used equipment, which allows me to discover technology that I once didnt know existed. This store doesnt care any used equipment beyond their display of randomly assorted antique cameras. Staff is nice and knowledgeable, but seems to treat photography as just a job.I recommend this store to professionals only.Beginners may be confused or intimidated.This is place is about as fun as a library.

Store seems to have s pretty good selection of cameras and lenses. People working here are rude and wouldnt help you much if you are not there to buy big ticket items. They will completely ignore you and wont help you, only after asking a few times will they acknowledge your presence. A bunch of camera snobs and money driven people. I would have bought a Nikon D750 from them, but went to Best Buy instead.

I went in with the intention of spending some money on equipment as a beginning photographer for lighting equipment. I walked out spending none. As person who works in customer service I wont be back either. Not sure if he was a manager or not, but his behavior was less than favorable towards me and an item that was marked down. Amazon here I come.

Christopher was a great help today. Replacing my 10+ old automatic camera with one with interchangeable lenses was a breeze with his help. He answered all my silly questions without hesitation.

Tried calling a few times to check if a product was in stock, no one answered the phones. Made a 30 minute drive anyway and when I arrived the staff was dismissive even though I was the only customer. When I asked if they had the product, the employee made a minimal effort to find it and then declared it wasnt in stock. Honestly the store is beautiful but there are better places to spend your money

Everytime I go in here, I feel that I am overlooked. Being a professional photographer, I want to ask specific questions and really am looking for the knowledge. For instance today, I entered the store around 5 PM. Went directly to the lens counter to wait my turn. 3 other groups entered the store after me. I was not even acknowledged for nearly 20 min. Finally, one person walked up to me and I proceeded to ask questions. In the middle of it another individual in a photo fest shirt walked up interrupted us and the person helping me left. I wish there was a more personal store located here in Fort Worth. I am not certain I want to return to this store.

Weve been buying from Fort Worth Camera for years. My wife is a professional photographer, and we appreciate the friendly service they offer. Today, I dropped my wifes camera off for repair - and Mario was very knowledgeable and remembered helping us in the past. If you need camera gear, this is the place to shop!

Manager was knowledgeable and wasnt pushing for a sale. I thought about it for a week, went back, and she got the sale.

Employees are busy... talking amongst themselves. Offer no help. Their stock of accessories is very minimal and cheap. Very disorganized stocking. I don’t understand why the reviews are so high for this place haha it’s a joke.

Mario, Edgar, and the entire team are exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are very competitive and come with comfort that youre buying from professionals who you can always come back to. I buy all of my lenses and cameras here now.

I drive from the Lake Whitney area, about an hour and 45 minutes south, to do business with these guys! For about a decade I have visited the store in Fort Worth, Texas, purchasing approximately 8-10 camera bodies and various lenses etc. and products to go with them. After bad experiences other places, online, and store front businesses, I was relieved to find a camera business with integrity and intentional customer service priorities. Mario, and the guys at the Grapevine store are personable, knowledgeable, and love their jobs and their customers. I dont ever plan to shop anywhere else again!

I traveled from Ohio to sort thru old family snaps and get them scanned. I had been under the impression that it could be done while you wait, but Dale worked with me and my limited time frame to get all the images on a disc in less than 24 hours. The pictures now are amazing and I sincerely appreciate the help and advice of Fort Worth Camera in helping me protect these valuable keepsakes.

I’m a local professional photographer in DFW and I only shop here. The staff, inventory and facilities at Fort Worth Camera are second to none. Their new building is just plain cool. I know it seems easier to just buy camera equipment online at Amazon, B&H or even Bestbuy, but Fort Worth Camera has always been cheaper and when they weren’t they have matched the price. In addition, when you choose those options you miss out on connecting with the photography community and supporting a great local Fort Worth company. But what I really love about Fort Worth Camera is the staff. Every time I go in the staff greets me and is standing by for questions. They are knowledgeable about the products and our craft and have always been able to answer my questions and give suggestions on equipment. They always suggest the products that will work the best for my needs and never try to push the most expensive equipment; they have even talked me off the ledge of buying more expensive equipment when a good cheaper option is available. I promise that if you try them out, you won’t go anywhere else.

Went in for a few things. First was to have our camera repaired and to sign up for some classes to learn to get more out of my camera.Well, on the first item, it didnt need to be repaired. User error. Hence the second item that is needed. Gave me a great deal on private lessons for both my husband and me! Love this place!

By recommendation I went to this store. But of three things I was looking for I did not get any.I decided to buy an eyecup from a very bad brand because they did not have the Canon brand.I prefer as I have been doing for years to buy on Amazon.I said, case closed.

Building is gorgeous but when I entered I was not asked if I needed help, I had to go and search for an employee. Everything is very messy inside of the store which was disappointing, seeing as that the outside sets you up for high expectations. If they fix these problems Ill definitely come back.

I love their new location! We made a last minute stop into Fort Worth Camera to update my equipment before a big trip. We had our toddler granddaughter with us which wasn’t the best idea, but it was unavoidable at the time. We were promptly taken care of by experts who didn’t make me feel ignorant for not knowing much about my camera or photography. While we got outfitted a member of the staff helped entertain our granddaughter. That’s going above and beyond. The best part is that I love my new equipment!
