Stopped by after being quoted from AutoNation Ford around the corner to have my key blank cut. Was quoted $40 to cut. Ford quoted $20. I usually stay away from the Dealerships cuz of $$, and support local Small Business. This time it doesnt make sense. Not sure if the employee was laughing at me as I left, but whatever it was it musta been really funny.

I called and got a quote, was told that they would be there in 30 minutes. It was 10! Quick fast professional service 😃

He called for a quote, he only asked me for my address and nothing more because since they didnt call me, I called another company and then they called me and I told them no and they came to my house anyway and I had to pay 45 pains for the trip that he gave when I clearly said no and to top it off an ostile and arrogant person

Shane Carroll is a Saint!!! We had to lock a tenant out for non payment (commercial) and the tenants showed up and Shane stayed well after his job was done to make sure that I was safe!! I will be using this company for all future jobs!!!

If I could give them six stars I would!! I have a 2018 Ram with a chip key. No FOB, just chip key. Ive spent days running by different places that claimed they made chip keys only to find that they had no idea how to make them for the Ram. The guys at A1 in Fort Worth were very friendly and knowledgeable and had my chip key made and working in about 15 minutes. And at about 1/4 the cost of what the Dodge dealer would have charged. Ill be using them for all my lock and key needs from here on out!

Young woman with a Hispanic accent could not have sounded more incompetent on the phone. Called about a new ignition, and getting a quote, she said I cant do that, but ill have a tech call you. Just list the techs number on Google then. I want to talk to someone who can help, not a middle man.

Made copies of my keys quickly that I wasn’t able to copy elsewhere. However, their hours are incorrect on Google Maps. They are open M-F 8-5 and Sat 9-4, closed Sun

Excellent Service! I got two car keys cut, one was cut perfectly but the other was an aftermarket part so there was a small problem with how it turned out, but the guys here were willing and were able to fix it without problems. Would come again if I need to.

Locked my keys in my car overnight (luckily, today was my day off.) Called A-1, to get my locked popped. Both people I spoke with on the phone were polite and knowledgable, was given a flat rate that was verified by both parties on the phone and the technician and the # never deviated. The technician was here in less than 15 minutes and had the car door open in roughly 30 seconds. IF I have to use this service again, I will not hesitate on giving them a call. Thank you for the professionalism and top notch customer service.

I called A-1 because they were second on the Google list I pulled up. I recognized the name and felt comfortable calling them. My mother locked her keys in the house and we had no way to get in. The weather was rainy and pretty cool. The man who answered the phone took her name and address and said he would send someone right away. And he did. The gentleman who came out had the door opened in about 3 mins. When I asked him how much I owed him, he said he had to call and find out. So he called someone, but I didnt hear their conversation because I sat down in the car to get out of the rain. Then he comes to my car door and tells me that I owe him $92 and some change. I repeated back to him questionably, $92?!!! He said yes. Then he addled that, All lockouts are $85.00 plus tax. Didnt they tell you that on the phone? I replied, No he didnt, because I would have told him never mind. So here we are, locked out in the rain and cool air, and I had to pay close to $100 to get my mom in her house. It would have been cheaper to just kick the darn door in and then repair the doorway. I used to own a Locksmith shop on the south side of Ft. Worth. If I had had some tools, I could have picked the lock. But there is no way in Hell that I would have charged 2 senior citizens, one of which, has dementia, that much to do 3 minutes worth of work. They are royally screwing people around at those prices. When I called them back to speak to the manager, about 4:25 PM, I was told she was gone for the day. What if I hadnt been able to pay that much money? And why wasnt I told how much it would cost from the beginning? They dont ever have to worry about me using them again! Nor anybody that I know. Im going to spread the word not to use them! And on top of all that, the locksmith who came out said he would send me a receipt via email. All I got was a Thank you for using A-1 Locksmith.

This was the best customer service experience I have had in many years. Not only did I save money but the guy who assisted me with my key cut and key fob replacement had me cracking up in laughter while aiming for perfection at the same time. The Gorilla Glue I used as a temporary fix for my key fob was not such a good idea. Im coming to see you first before I get Gorilla glue happy again!😂😂😂😂 Thanks Monte!

I called on a Saturday and Shane was at my house in about 45 minutes. We talked through options to solve my problem. Visiting with Shane felt like talking to a friend because of the way he present me his game plan. Very impressed with A1!

This is by far the worst locksmith company Ive ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I called them at 9:30 this morning to ask them to cut a new key for my car. I asked about what time the technician would get there and was told 30 minutes. I go to my car to wait, at 11, one hour late, I called to ask about an estimated time of arrival and was told that the technician wouldnt get there until 12:30. I didnt think too much into it. Im a patient person. It is now 1 oclock in the afternoon and I am still waiting for the technician to even show up. No one As been in contact with me about any delays. I will never use this company again and unless you have an entire day to throw away waiting I suggest you dont either.

I was in need of a safe and wasnt sure about what i needed or want. I stop by the new A-1 location at Hulen and I20 and was very impressed to actually see a store front business that sold safes LIBERTY SAFES AT THAT. After having Brian explain to me about the importance of a gun safe with fire protection, I purchased my first safe. Three days later i had my Liberty safe delivered and bolted down to my foundation. Its nice to find a company that does everything under one roof. Thanks Brian and A-1!!!!

We brought in a lock for a vintage trailer we had no key for. The salesman took a look at it, quoted us a price, and said to come back in an hour and a half. We came back to find the lock with 2 perfectly working keys. The price was incredibly reasonable and they kept me from having to find and then buy a somewhat rare and very expensive lock to replace it.I would highly recommend their services.

Great to work with! David our service guy came out early, was very knowledgeable, had everything on hand to make repairs to our Law Firm’s doors. The company and David kept me informed as to when he would be there and he showed up promptly ready to meet our needs.I am going to make A-1 our go to Locksmith for all our 13 offices. Will also keep their number handy for my residential needs.He took the time to provide info regarding any future upgrades if we wanted, never felt pressured but I am now informed as to some options for our business needs. I called them to rekey some locks and deadbolts. Their prices were one of the best and they were out within hours. They were done surprisingly quick and did excellent work!Much better for me than replacing all the locks.Thanks

I scheduled an appointment to have this company take care of a simple item. They did not show up and I called to see what the issue was and they could not find a record of the appointment. I asked if we could reschedule and they would only go if I paid on site or before they go out, but they would not provide an estimate for the work and wanted me to blindly authorize payment. The receptionist was quite rude and unwilling to simply write an estimate for the work so I could have documentation and see what I would be paying for and how much.

Fast friendly service. Explained what my options were and what the prices were for each one. Didnt try to talk me into buying the most expensive option.

Good attentiveness; high level of knowledge... Good experience and employees were flexible with my lock predicament. For a locksmith, they may have had a larger selection of keys though, not much explanation was given on that. Good inventory otherwise and nice staff. I will be going back soon!

I recently locked myself out of our house so I placed a call to A-1 Locksmith and within a minute, I was given a price ($85 plus tax) and estimated time of arrival (approximately 30 minutes). About 20 minutes later, I was given notice that it would take another 40 minutes for the technician to arrive, which was a very professional and courteous thing to do for anyone in my situation. Other places I called either didn’t get back to me at all or were fully booked so I decided to wait. When the technician arrived, he was very polite and apologetic for the delay. He then proceeded to get the job done which took roughly 5 minutes. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the price and quality of service.

Our grandmother was found dead yesterday and once the house was released by the police, we were able to access it. I phoned earlier that day to inquire about service from A1 and was told that they did not have a service personnel in the area. I phoned another co Lang and they came out within 1 hour. Later that night I received a phone call from a service man inquiring about the locks needing to be changed. When I informed him of what the office had said, he told me that there was probably a mix up. (Especially since I did not leave my phone number earlier ) I then received a phone call from a young female who claimed I spoke with her earlier that day. She quickly became snooty and arrogant by saying, Yes- you did. I told her No, not true. To which she replied, SO TRUE.I hung on her due to her rudeness and lack of professionalism. I am glad that we did not go with A1 due to the blatant disrespect their employees show customers. I will NOT ever call them or recommend them for business.

My ignition was sticking in my car. Toyota dealership wanted over $1,000 to fix it. The highest rated locksmith in Fort Worth, Extra Locksmith, wanted $400. They guy at A-1 on Hulen was able to fix it for $200. Cost is $50 if you bring in the ignition. They are also able to pull the ignition for $150 which was a big plus for me and fix it all in one day. On their website it doesnt state they can do this service.

This site is very misleading and i am ver frustrated and angry right now. I talked to the man about get5ing my key to my truck programmed. The man told me he was open and this site states open tell 11 pm. I had my truck towed up to the shop and pulled in about 4:15 unhooked my truck so the person towing me could go on another job and then found out the place is closed been closed since 4. Now i am stuck in a parking lot with no way to go anywhere and really cant afford to have it towed back home. So what am i too do. Very disappointed. Why would you say open till 11 pm if your not going to be.

Brian Nix, the store manager in west Fort Worth went way out of his way to solvent numerous problems I was having moving lock sets from my old to my new patio doors.This included customizing tail pieces by hand to fit my unusual circumstances.It is rare today to find this high quality of service in any business and I appreciated his extra effort.

My service at first was good. It went downhill very fast, was misquoted the price of the key I needed three times. When I finally got the right price I confirmed that they would be able to come out that night as I needed the vehicle the next morning for my NEW job. The fourth time this company called me it was a female stating that they would not be able to come out that night. I informed her that I had multiple conversations with the pervious person confirming each time that it was today. She said oh hes new. Im sorry not an exusce she was very rude and would not offer me anything for the inconvenience. I cancelled with her and called another company for a better price and they came out that night. Would not recommend this company.

I called at about 9 in the morning to schedule an appointment for later on in the day and was told that wasnt how yall operated. That I just needed to call 30 minutes before and they would have someone come out. When I called back, I was rudely told that they didnt have anyone available and I would have to call a different company. When I tried to explain that they should have told me that in the first place the person on the phone was horrible and just plain rude to me. I even asked her why she was being rude when I was just explaining to her that they need to tell there customers this in the first place because I would have made other plans and she just got more rude so I hung up on her. I worked in customer service for 10 years and would never talk to a customer like that.

While I appreciated the fast service, this company was unable to rekey my lock. I use the same types of locks on all my rentals and have had them rekeyed by other locksmiths at least 5 different times with no issues. I understand the reason they didn’t, but it’s still a little frustrating. If you use smart keys, don’t lose the key!

Made two trips here. The 2nd time the guy in store did not want to program my remote because he didnt want to go out in the rain. I have had this service before and its done inside the vehicle. Me and my toddler had no issue coming in the rain with our umbrellas. When I called the main number they said rain was no problem they could send a tech but it would cost me more. Will never use or recommend!

I have used A-1 Locksmith (all over DFW) many times over the past 5 years....this time, they charged me $400 for 30 minutes worth of work. Way different than the $85 they told me over the phone + $25 to drill the lock cylinder. I will be looking for another locksmith and would advise anyone thinking of using A-1 to look elsewhere.

I called 4 separate times to confirm what I needed, and what kind of car I had. They wouldnt take me after 3:30, then the next day, they suddenly cant work on my car, and their key machine is broken.

This shop doesnt stand by their quotes. I gave them a make, model and year of a vehicle and they quoted me a price,then cancelled their appt. due to a servicemans family emergency. When we went to re-schedule they changed the price by hundreds of dollars. Not a reputable way of conducting business.

Came to this location on a Monday around 4:45pm to fin they were closed. Hours of operation are not as posted. I knocked on the window with someone there and was turned away.
