Ive been trading with Whiz Q since it was a dinky, little pile of rocks at its current location. The expansion over the last 25 years has created a rocky wonderland where I can find just about any type, size, color, and variety of rocks. Also, theres bulk compost, tools, and do-it-yourself projects.The place is busy, especially on weekends. Saturday finds food trucks on the property to help the customers pass the time.Patience and communication is the key to a wonderful visit to find just the right stones.The prices are usually the lowest Ive found, and delivery can be set up for just about anything.

Wayne and team at Whiz-Q Stone really went the extra mile to find a Belgard product that was in extremely short supply for me. It is obvious they value every customer because I had never done business there before and Wayne treated me like I was a regular customer who orders frequently. You don’t find service like this much anymore and it was truly appreciated.

We ordered and paid for 9 tons of rock on May 22nd and it should have been delivered on May 28th. That morning we get a call saying they dont have any and will call us once they get it back in. It finally was to be delivered today and I just got a call saying they dont have any. They already took our money and still sold the rock to others. I told them to cancel my order and refund me.. The manager called me back, they found some at a quarry and will have it delivered today.

Pretty friendly place though some of the employees are defensive. One young woman was too argumentative and thus I only gave four stars. Their prices are average and they have a huge selection of landscaping materials.

Horrible loading procedures. Took my crew 2.5 hours to get 2 tons of stone. Lack of drivers and the ones they have are slow and have bad attitudes. 5+ employees inside office standing there at front desk but not a single one would get out and help direct drivers or orders.

Called them for a quote on some pavers. yup weve got em in stock at $2.80 per foot So I hook up the trailer and drive up there, get there and they are like, well let me check if they are in stock 30 minutes later they are like, oh yeah weve got em at $5.89 per foot I explain that on the phone I was quoted $2.80. well I dont know who you talked to. I talked to YOU! I called THIS business was given a quote. Then they told me that they remembered my call and that they didnt say $2.80, even though I specifically asked the guy on the phone to repeat it. Wasted 2 hours of my time plus diesel.Edit: owner called and admitted the mistake and offered to make it right. Unfortunately, I already have the material I need for this project, but I believe in second chances so maybe I will give them another shot sometime, but Ill wait until they are not expecting it......

We have used Whiz Stone over the years for many outdoor projects. Yes, sometimes you wait but you wait at Home Depot and Lowe’s too! The products are stellar and we have always been treated professionally in the store. They also help you plan and lay out projects. We will be faithful customers forever.

I was pretty clueless on exactly what I needed and how much but they were very helpful and got me exactly what I needed and guided me on how much would be appropriate as well as what would safely fit in my truck. Awesome!

Ive passed by this place a million times and always wanted to go. For those that are intimidated dont be. Just find the scales to get the empty weight of your car. Pick out the rocks you want or have someone load them. Then gk weigh again. Brilliant and simple.

Whiz Q has good selection of Material and the quality is as Good as you’d want. The prices are fair but they are prompt at loading and save us more time than any other rock yard in the metroplex. We are long time customers and we typically know exactly what we want when we arrive so that helps a lot. Good Guys!

Loved this place! Needed large flagstones for a landscaping project, and only wanted specific shapes and variations in color. Had no problem finding what I wanted. Their system for weighing and purchasing stone is largely self serve, but help was available for loading. They use a drive through with a scale for weighing stones and check out. This was hands down the most customer friendly check out process of any landscaping supply company I have ever visited. Would recommend and will be back.

Customer service was not good on my visit. I placed a rock delivery, and told the sales guy that it has to be a early morning deliver, and it was Tuesday afternoon. The sales agent said that earliest morning delivery would be Friday morning. So, I made schedule changes for Friday, not paying attention to date on invoice that delivery date had Thursday on it. Next day sales agent called that delivery would be on Friday, to my surprise since I took him at his word that delivery would be Friday morning. When deliver truck finally arrived on Friday mid morning, the driver stated that he could only put the 12 yards of rock on one spot because his dump truck had hydraulic problems. We needed in 4 different spots so it would be easy to spread. 12 yards of rocks is a big pile of rocks. I complained to him that I was not happy with that and that maybe he needed to rocks back. He finally agreed to dump rocks in 4 different spots. He did it with no hydraulic problems. Very bad service.

Not a fan of the customer services, it was dead slow and the 3 people behind the counter acted like i was interrupting their conversation. when I asked for some river rock for my flower beds they pointed me at a shovel. After going out side and flagging down 2 different people finally one of them finally helped me load a pallet of it in to my truck. Why they dont use a loader and give you how much you want ill never know!

Ok, these guys are awesome! Our sales associate, Wayne, knew exactly what we needed for a successful DIY project. He helped us crunch the numbers on Flagstone, aggregate, and saved us some $$$ by telling us about pedestrian fines vs. decomposed granite. Loaned us gloves so we could go through the pallet to get exactly what we wanted and will deliver earlier than I thought it would be! They even stayed open later than normal to get everything we needed.

I will never do business with this company again!!!! Worst customer service ever!!!!!!! The product was of good quality but the customer service was horrible. The person behind the counter by the name of Alex told us that they could place two 450 pound boulders and that the cost would be $50. I described the layout of our yard and he said that would be no problem. Nothing was mentioned about a large forklift that would tear up my yard and sprinklers. We were left to find manual labor and pay the extra cost involved to get the stones placed. They did refund the $50 setting fee they charged but were very curt in trying to make the situation right. If they had said we use a forklift to place the boulders we would have most likely gotten smaller stones than we did to avoid the $150 we hade to pay to have the stones moved by manual labor. Think twice before doing business with WhizQ

Great Customer service from the lady at scale. It was my first time going there and she explained the process thoroughly and even send a guy to help me load gravels. I will definitely go there again.

They have good products but what sucks is the customer service. Guy at the desk asked me at least 4 times what I needed. Tried to sell me some different stone and on top of that I waited over 45 min to get loaded up. Sad part is it wasnt even all that busy. I wont be returning here unless I absolutely haven to. I may not be a big part of money but word of mouth travels fast.

Absolutely terrible customer service. After asking an employee how much of a certain rock we were looking at would be half a ton, his showing us, then our loading it ourselves, we were told what we had loaded was not the rock noted on the sign by it. No instead it was more expensive rock. Thus we ended up unloading much of it an reloading rock with rock on another pile next to it, more of the expensive rock, but better quality not labeled at all. Not one bit of an offer of help from any employee. Five employees standing around inside talking. No help. When I even suggested they walk the lot and check their signs all they did was make an excuse that it wouldnt do any good as theyd just get moved again.... Cant really call it customer service. There was no service, just their seeing dollar signs.

Great boulder selection as well as sands and dirts. Whiz Q has a competitive advantage over Silver Creek b/c they offer the flexibility of using smaller dump trucks to deliver to residential properties. Silver Creek does not.

Got the coffee maker supposed to be the best spend over than $200 in 2016 for coffee maker didn’t even last 2 years and spend $50 in coffee maker 2015 still working do not buy ninja coffee maker the worse coffee maker ever have.

This stone yard has put my guys and I on the back burner for the last time! Instead of going into detail on the three separate occasions I will stick to the one today. I had my guys at the stone yard to order 20 tons of Oklahoma chopped stone for an upcoming last minute order. They were at the yard for 2 and a half hours getting stone picked out without the help of any employees. After the two hours of waiting to get someone out there my guys informed the yard guys what they needed. The office people told them they were too busy to help us right now but they would give us a call later in the day to let us know when to come back and finish setting up delivery. Obviously now that call never came through, so it will be another day delay of getting in the delivery line, which will result in an entire weekend wait which will cause starting issues to arise. Dont turn away clients by telling them you are just too busy with other people to deal with them. There are other ways to handle being busy, especially being in retail!

Got great advise from Deshawn om selecting correct stones for a small water fountain project I was working on. Purchased 6 stones, but only needed 4 to make it a natural transition. I also purchased a durable long lasting vinyl 3/8 inch tube to worm up through the statute.

Really bad customer service....maybe just for little old ladies just buying a few small boulders. I was given misinformation by two separate employees. Was told I had to drive around to the scales for each different stone I purchased at different prices. Checkout woman told me I could have used a small cart and weigh them on a small scale. Not much changed in 3 years. The lady at the scale window called someone to help me load my 360 pounds of boulders. I waited 15 minutes and started to load the smaller ones myself. Half hour later I had loaded them all. Some over 50 lbs. Several employees saw me and no one offered to help. I am 84 years old and it was in the nineties. Lucky I am Pilates strong but someone else might not be!!!

Used to go to Big Tex, but they have changed management. its higher priced her at least they know what they are going. Also has an awesome selection of rock. Sorry big tex stone, Whiz-q is my supplier now.

It’s clear that any 1 star review is from “other rock yards”. I’ve been to whiz-q about 50 times and each time they are quick to help load up! The staff is always friendly and helpful. The prices seem to be great. I’ve checked around and other people are more expensive.I would highly recommend Whiz-q. Dujon and Waybe always help me out. I decided to go to this establishment to get a few stones for aquarium upon entering the store there were a few gentlemen talking, they were dressed alike and more or less in front of the door as I entered I were dressed alike and I believe they were workers or owners of the store. I was not greeted or asked for any assistance by them. I noticed someone at the counter and bypassed them were I did get assistance. Was not a welcome environment.
