I read a lot. A lot. Half Price Books makes this possible. Yes they have new books too and games and music albums. But what makes it special to me are the thousands of Used books. So many people have read so much and then shared. And I may walk out with a bagful of fun reading for under $20.

Its always like a treasure hunt when we venture into Half Priced Books.Such a good turnaround of media!!We almost always walk out with an armfull of good albums,movies,cds.

It was a great experience. We went in and everyone greeted us. Even though we just went in to look around, everyone was still nice. Even the lady at the front desk greeted us as we left out with a smile. Even with a mask on, we can tell it was a smile by her positive attitude. We usually go out of our way to find a different store with other stores because most of the customer service had a nasty attitude. But here was a welcoming and great experience. Well definitely come back to this store again.

Staff was very helpful. Kept asking if I needed anything. But being a used book store, some of their books were not in the best of shape especially for the price (half of the price printed on the book).

I have visited so many Half Price Books locations and this is by far my favorite. The staff is great and for whatever reason they have the best selection of books (for my tastes).0

Price are decent, you may be able to find some deals from their clearance section. their collection isn’t that large. Great customer service overall !

Haven’t even made it into the store yet but i spoke to Tom over the phone and his customer service was superb! He went above and beyond to help me with the best attitude about it!

Not one person greeted us and there was no crowd when we walked in. My family and I did not feel welcomed at all, not even a welcoming smile. I rather drive across town to the other Half Price Books where staff are friendly. A simple hello would have made all the difference and thats bare minimum customer service

A regular spot for me, I prob go here every other day if not every day. They have a great selection and even better staff. The employees here are always so eager to help you, been going here ever since I was a kid and I’ve never had a single issue. Top tier book store.

Generally we love Half Price Books. On this trip we were a little disappointed with selection particularly in the chest section I think there were only three books and there was no childrens clearance to speak of. Storage self with clean and well-lit. And the staff was friendly. Im sure well be back since this is the closest half price to us and we do love Half Price Books. PS if youre a teacher / educator then they do have a 10% discount for you

Gladly drive wherever to find a bookstore that doesnt require masks. And there ARE some and THEY will get our money.

So I am compliant with the mask policy, I am still against it 100%, but I will wear one if asked. However I dont appreciate when pulling my mask down to talk to my wife and the guy walks by and says pull up your mask. You are literally 12 ft away!!!

We always love a visit to Half Price Books! This bookstore is always clean, organized and staff are always helpful and friendly. We are 41, 17, 13 and 3 years old and everyone always finds a treasure or two when we go! Definitely a treat for myself and my kds.

I had a small problem with my online order and I called this store. The shift manager Jacob was so nice and helpful. Even though he couldnt fully help me he gave me phone numbers of who could. Great customer service if I do say so myself!

I usually leave half price with 10+ books. I was disappointed in the selection at this location.I was more disappointed that the man at the register checking customers out was obviously sick and did not need to be handling customers or even be at work. He was coughing and he obviously had a running nose. Yes, he was wearing a mask but how sure am I or anyone else that this guy practices good hygiene and washes his hands and sanitizes every time he wipes his nose or removes his mask and coughs into his hand. If your employees are showing these signs of sickness, the manager needs to send them home.

Had book I wanted but not book we stopped to get

Very rude staff. We were asked to leave because they didn’t like what we chose to wear. When we politely refused, they threatened to call the police and have us trespassed. We were forced to complete our purchase over the phone from outside the store. All because they didn’t like what we chose to wear.The cashier also slammed our vinyl records we were buying down on the counter very hard. As if she was hoping to break them.

I love going in there its peaceful. Would love for there to be seating though. Handicap people cannot stand for long periods of time.

Theyre always fast and courteous when I bring books in, and I usually find something that I cant leave without!

Ugh. Love it and hate it. The nasty trash that abounds makes this a highly family unfriendly store. Dont let your kids browse. My daughter was looking for cute pens to stick on her backpack for school and even though I was being so cautious a highly inappropriate pin was right there in with the ones we were looking at. That said, the prices are great. if half price has it its going to be cheaper than Amazon by about 30% once you figure in shipping. They let you browse and discover without pressuring you.

I usually go to the Burleson location, cause its closer to me. But they had a BUNCH BIGGER selection. And they were VERY nice too. Ill definitely be returning. 😀😀

My Half Price haul from the Hulen site. The store is well maintained, clean and nice and cool on these Texas hot summer days. Went to another location earlier in the week and had to leave because the store was so hot I had to leave.

One of my favorite stores ever. Love the book smell when you open door. HUGE selections of all kind of topics. They have kiddy corner . Clean restrooms. Great parking. Tables and chairs to just open book and read right there. Professional staff, caring, polite, knowledgeable. Items are great. They sale new and used. They have gift items too. This is a great store. Prices are great. Yes yes yes we will be visiting them again. Love it!

This store is very neat and arranged well. There is such a wide variety of titles and a really fun kids section that includes arts & crafts and a nice selection of unique stuffed animals and toys. My son loves to visit. The employees are friendly and there are frequent sales. One of my favorite stores.

I love all locations but when covid 19 struck we were bored at home. I spent 2 hours going to different stores to find a jigsaw puzzle...lo and behold this location was the only place I found one that wasnt a 50 piece (they had those too btw) and was for adults.

Im surprised they are still in business .If you sell to them they undervalue everything until they sell it.

They claim to give you half price for your books for what theyre able to sell it for but thats a lie. Ive brought many things here and theyve slapped prices on them that were 10 times or more what I was given for them (sold books there for a dollar apiece and they sell it back for 10-15). Selling a game to them for 12 dollars only for them to sell it back for 50 is stealing and you could get more for it at Gamestop (as cheap as they are). Selling to them for cheap would be fine except that they gain so much profit from it. Just donate your books elsewhere because youll get about 15 dollars for 30+ books even if theyre in mint condition

I simply asked when they will be doing trade ins again, and I got a very rude response on the phone when I was confused. HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT THIS SPECIFIC STORE DIDNT DO TRADE-INS! ITS HALF-PRICE BOOKS, THATS THEIR WHOLE BUSINESS MODEL!

Came here looking for specific artists and titles. I found, instead, things I didnt know I wanted! That was just the music. I intend to visit again for books.

Had to ask an employee for help even though Id made it quite obvious that I needed help.

Like most Half Price bookstores, this location also has an enormous selection of books of all genres. They also have lots of fun games, playing cards, and tons of neat novelty items to buy. I love their selection of fill-in-the-blank journals and story books. I had never seen them before until I visited this bookstore. They look like they would be great books to practice writing stories in based on the different prompts throughout the books. I specifically came here to look at metaphysical books and I was not disappointed. The prices here are amazing since they are all half price so you really cant beat that! Its easy to end up wanting to buy a ton of items from this store. My only suggestion is that they open up more locations in other towns and cities... Especially Abilene, Texas! Also they need a larger collection of tarot cards. Other than that, this is a wonderful store!

Clean well stocked store but they dont want to give you much when you sell something. I had 16 die cast figures, like Harley Quinn etc and they wanted to buy them all for 10 dollars.This is the 2nd and last time they try to buy something from me for super low. We may not be back but it doesnt matter because we are not important.

Half Prices Books is a dangerous place for me! I love books of all kinds (SF is my favorite) and they have plenty of every kind. Since the books are previously owned, they may be recent releases or long ago treasures from someones collection.I frequently come here (or their other shops in town) to find books as gifts for family or friends, or when I want to study a topic without spending a lot of money.
