These guys are amazing! I had an issue with my breaks and they diagnosed the problem very quickly! The breaks were making a strange noise intermittently so after a quick drive to hear them we came back and they found the issue right away. I was in a rush as I was supposed to leave town that day and made me a priority. I can not thank them enough for the amazing service and care. I’m not a Fort Worth native and I didn’t really have a car place but I know now I will not be taking my service anywhere else.

As active duty military going to a new place and not knowing who is reliable is scary.. there are so many shady business that that advantage, especially with women.. They personally came down to help with my battery. I had the battery but no tools. So insteaf of charging me all these fees, they sent someone down to help me. He was so kind and helpful.

My husband and I were ripping and racing because we have a trip coming up and out of nowhere his truck wouldn’t change gears so we were literally stuck ! This morning I had a flat tire on the way to an appointment in the West 7th St. area. I googled the closest tire shop and noticed the great reviews, and it was just a couple of blocks away from where I was. I greeted by friendly faces, and asked if someone could put my spare on. I could tell they were busy, and I’m sure they had many other things to do, but they were able to help me and even checked the tire pressure on all 4 tires. When it came to pay the bill, the owner said “you have an appt you need to get to, don’t worry about it”. When I insisted to pay him something, he said “just make a donation to the Tarrant County food bank instead”. So I am definitely doing that, and will recommend this place to anyone living in the area. This place is a gem, and they get 5 ⭐️‘s from me.

On a road trip from Amarillo to Baton Rouge we had a front end emergency on I35. Not knowing anything about this area we stopped by Downtown Tire & Auto. All the employees were caring and placed my situation as their personal priority to inspect and fix. Eric and KC went to work and found that I had two tires separating. They did not have the tire sized for my car but made calls to other stations to find them and gave me directions to another store. They could have charged me a boat load of money or made me stay the night in Ft Worth to get tires shipped and make a sale. But they valued MY needs above their own. This was my first experience with Ft. Worth, Texas but I can say that if everyone in that town is like Erik and KC, then Ft. Worth is the kindest and nicest city in the world. Thank you guys for everything you did for us and may you be blessed beyond measure.

These folks have built my trust over the last few years because of their transparency. Once they said I had an oil leak, but to take it to the dealership as it was under warranty rather than pocket the money instead. I’ve never been pushed to buy anything I didn’t need. They’ll suggest things to be thinking about (brakes, tires, etc) but are honest about how long you can last currently. Eric and the staff are A+.

We just moved to Fort Worth and was looking for a good honest mechanic.... we have taken in my husband‘s truck for numerous reasons, my Lexus SUV and my daughters very very old Montero.... they worked quickly and very inexpensively. Went here to get an inspection/oil change and the man who sits at the front desk, Earnest, was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful and made sure that I was updated on my timeline. However, as much as I hate to say this, female buyers beware. There was another man there, Eric, who made me feel really uncomfortable by coming into the waiting area every time the other guy went to the garage. He would get closer to me than the 6 feet and pull down his mask to talk to me. I was the only client there and didnt feel great about this - he tried to be flirtatious and eventually I told him I had a phone call in an attempt to get him to leave. Again, if youre a guy, I highly recommend it. Im not sure if they have deal with this employee who made me feel uncomfortable, but next time I need to go there I feel like Ill have to call to make sure Eric isnt working that day.

We went to get our annual state inspections last week, and the crew was nothing less than professional, speedy, and they actually inspected our vehicles. The man at the counter said it would take an hour and we would wait, but if we were there 45 minutes Id be surprised. We wandered to Target to get coffee and by the time we got back they were almost done with our second vehicle. We got inspection print outs right at the counter, and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the waiting room and the courteousness of the staff. Highly recommend this place for any of your auto needs!

Review Update: I’ve been coming to Downtown auto for a few years now and every experience between oil changes and mechanic work has been a great one. I decided to make this my go to shop when I had the privilege of the previous manager Steven taking really good care of my car. Now Eric is the manager and he seems to be running a great shop, very courteous and diligent.First review: Steven the manager was AWESOME to work with! He was very detailed and meticulous, he worked with my Scion XA AC issues and gave me a very fair price and a solid guarantee that if they didn’t fix it the first time, they would make sure I was taken care of until the job was done. He did a lot of research and found the solution to the AC problem along with the mechanics doing their job of investigating the issue. I’ve been having an AC problem with my Scion for 2 years (and have gone to other mechanics to try and fix it and have spent around 6 visits and over $1,000 trying to fix elsewhere). In the end it seems Steven solved the problem by using a certified Toyota part.I really appreciate all the hard work Steven and the mechanics put in to solve my problem. This is my new mechanic shop!! I went in based on there Google reviews and I was so impressed with the service and quality of work at a very fair price!The Store Director, Chris Hodge, was so wonderful to deal with, (he could teach a course on customer service).I have 11 years experience as an auto estimator and body shop manager, so I’m pretty savvy when it comes to how much mechanical repairs cost. The number in my head to fix the brakes on my 2013 Tahoe was $1000 (they were grinding without touching the brake pedal). Chris’s quote was a little less and I was able to use a coupon on their website. Out the door my cost was a little over $900 which also included a brake flush. My truck drives and stops like it did off the showroom floor!!I have already recommended the Downtown Garage on Carroll St. to all my friends and family. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

My car shakes when I brake at 60-70 mph. It was what I told them. They changed the front brake pads and rotors. I tested my car and it was still shaking. Then they changed the rear brake pads and rotors and it still shakes when I brake! I am not gonna go there again because I believe they cannot figure it out and they just do it by trial and error. Even they dont test the car when they think they have fixed it.Update: I showed my car to a mechanic and he said the new rotors are defective. He also mentioned that it is possible even for new rotors. So I went to Downtown Garage for the third time and they changed the rotors and pads (they were under warranty) and tested my car. Now my car works well with no vibration when I brake.Since I went there three times for this issue, I give them 4 stars. I also give Chris and his team one extra star because they are really nice and friendly. So 5 stars!I recommend this shop.
