The negativity coming from some reviews is absolutely FALSE. Reuben does a fantastic job making people feel fine and not overly worry about the issues with their cars. He doesn’t treat people like business deals, very easy to get along with and relate to. The plan and process for your repair is already mapped out by these guys. Have no worries about price because they’re going to help you find a way to get your car fixed no matter what the price might end up being. Then comes the repair itself. Nothing is missed. They don’t dirty up your car from all the getting in and out. My car preformed better when I left AAMCO than before it had problems to begin with. This location does its job. 10/10 recommend.

The mechanics may be okay, but Reuben is dishonest, manipulative and rude. Ive dealt with plenty of shady people in my life, but he is one of the worst. Do NOT go there unless you want to be ripped off. And whatever you do, dont fill out the online form for the financing. Youll end up finding yourself owing DOUBLE and it takes forever to get out of it. Reuben suggested I just not pay them because he didnt care whether or not they ever got their money as long as he got paid. He literally said that. Seriously, he is a piece of work - steer clear.

I had a transmission rebuilt here about 6 months ago. Ruben was a huge help in the process and the repair was done in the time frame I was given. I was pleased enough with the service I received that I came back for another minor issue with the engine. They were honest every step of the way and took care of me. Highly recommend.

Reuben at Aamco is amazing!!! He is straight to the point and let’s you know exactly what’s wrong with your car. I really appreciated his honesty and reasonable prices. He quickly got the repair done and my car was ready almost a week early. Awesome experience coming from someone who loathes car problems or having to fix them. I had the worst experience here. They lost my business I went to pick-up my car and it had been ramsacked. Talked to Ruben and he explained that another car 🚗 had been broken into as well their window was broken. They stolen my garage door opener. Talking to him was like talking to a wall he was unconcerned. I will not even recommend this location.

Ruben went above an beyond to get my daughters Jeep up and running after we bought it from an auto shop with a bad transmission. Took it for a diagnostic, on tuesday, they told me to be there right at 8am, so I was, manager wasnt there, and door was locked. So left it there, by 5pm picked it up, they said nothing was wrong, and rgey dont just do oil changes. So I went to autonation on Friday, it needed a tune up,oil change, liquid flushing.. plus more.

I took my car to Amco in fourth worth Texas ( 6828 Camp Bowie Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76116) for a transmission rebuild, and not only was it expensive than all other places that repair transmission, but they also have very rude and inconsiderate, and rude customer service. because i wasnt in the best place financially, it took me about three months to pay off my cars repair.I had my social security in the car at the moment because i had recently came back from a job interview and unfortunately for me, i forgot it in the car when i dropped it off at Amco to be repaired. Two weeks after i left my car at the shop i received a text from the front desk guy (Ruben) threatening me with my social security card to come in and make payments when i had previously told him i and working on saving up money to pay the payments. i had my social hidden in my glove box of the car, meaning that for him to have gotten to it, he just/must had to be looking for something in my car and talk less of using my social security card to threaten me !!!!!. Fast forward to when i made all the payments in full which was $2900 but at the time when i called to finish off my payment, i was told that my total was no longer $2900 but $4200.$1300 for parking lot fee for my car sitting in their lot for close to three months. I wouldnt have had a problem with that charge if i was made aware of the parking lot fee from the beginning, but i was never told of the parking lot fee until the very last day when they added the charge without letting me know or without even having that charge written nowhere in their system or on paperwork. Like that wasnt enough, He cancels my car repair warranty stating that because it has been sitting for three months, although the systems and the book of the store says when you get a repair done by then you have either 12 months of warranty or 12000 miles on the warranty, depending on which one the vehicle reached first. Like that wasnt enough, when i picked up my car from the shop, i noticed that everything i had inside my car was MISSING!!!.I asked Ruben were and what happened to all my belongings and he says i was going to put a lien on my car so dumped out all my belongings that were in the car in the dumpster but this was after he said i had nothing in the car when i brought it in !!. Keep in mind that GOING TO and ACTUALLY DOING is not the same thing. At that moment in time, i had already paid off both the parking lot fee and the repair fees so he had no right anymore to be able to put a Lien on my vehicle. i asked for the shop to pay for my damage and thrown away items and he tells me to get off the property and while i was on the phone with my lawyer he calls the cops on me to take me off the property.I REALLY ADVISE NOT TO TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP. Because after spending 5k for repairs this is not the type of treatment anyone should get.Users recommendation: I really advice not to ever take your to this Shop .

He tried to overcharge me Parts labor and analysis. I made some phone calls and found I could get more quality and better pricing up the road

My son saved up his money to buy a truck. This Aamco location had one that they had rebuilt the transmission in and not gotten paid. They sold it to him as is at a good price. The reality is that everybody has a bad day. Everybody messes something up once in a while. You see who people really are when they deal with those situations.After taking title to the truck, we realized that something wasnt right in the transmission. We took it back to them, and they checked it out. There was a part that had not been installed correctly during the rebuild, and it had caused some other damage. They pulled the transmission back out and took care of the problem. They stood by their work, which means a lot more on the rare occasions when something does go wrong.In particular, the service manager, Reuben, worked hard to make sure we were treated right. Thanks for making sure my son has a reliable truck to get him started.

We have a 2007 Ford Expedition with a P0658 code, indicating an internal transmission issue with an actuator, Im not a mechanic but Ive been working on my own cars for over 15 years, I know my limits and this is one of them. i took my truck to AAMCO and Ruben was very pleasant and cordial. After dropping off the truck, they performed a diagnostic which confirmed my suspicion, the transmission needed to either be replaced or be rebuild. After discussing this matter with Ruben, I decided to just not fix it as the truck not to fix it as it just didnt make any financial sense. Everyone at the shop was very polite, they explained everything with great detail and went above and beyond to provide me with excellent customer service. i know that dealing with either a major issue with an engine or transmission is something that can become very stressful and worrisome to anyone, however, dealing with AAMCO was not one of them, if anything, they made things better by providing excellent customer service. Needless to say, I will be back to this shop whenever I need to.

I was robbed and scammed by a very disrespectful guy named rueben at the front desk. He diagnosed my vehicle as having a failure in my transmission, without test driving nor any visible engine codes..(Esteban the mechanic, told him that there were no codes). Reuben then went on to say that sometimes that happens in older cars,(that there can be an issue with no code), I explained to him that I didn’t have $3,800 for the repair he then proceeded to scam me into applying for 3 separate loans, after which he then stole the money by overcharging me for parts and labor. He replaced two REAR shocks for $793 each part, one spark plug and one coil $170 One transmission line and cooler line $332 for the part, and $375 for the labor, . For $3,650 which is exact same amount that I was approved for on the 3 loans. Something crooked has happened here. And we could have come to an understanding... but when he hung up on me for asking questions about his actions, that is when I have decided to take action, and I’m starting by leaving this review.. You made a huge mistake this time young man..2-11-2021. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SHOP UNTIL RUEBEN HAS. EEN FIRED.. HE IS A THEIF, AND CROOKED AS A SNAKE !!!!Contacted owners through email 2 days ago. Haven’t heard anything in response to this issue.. 2-19-2021UPDATE 4-8-21I contacted Amcco’s Corporate location about the matter, and spoke to Michael Pekula. He was polite but very abrupt and straight to the point. He sent me to Amcco transmission in Houston Texas (Luckily my family are owners a few flatbed trucks) To a very nice older man named Dave. I brought along a copy of the invoice that I was given. He immediately began to decipher the total charges for parts and estimated labor for repairs. Dave then proceeded to explain to me, in detail. what was a legitimate price for parts and also for the labor. He couldn’t believe what had been done to me. Long story short rude reuben stole money from me. Smh ..

I called and told them I needed specific parts and repairs done. The parts were ordered immediately and installed on the same day, and a lot faster than I expected. I feel very comfortable getting repairs here, as I drive my vehicle for work.The guys were very respectful, kind and fair with their prices. I will certainly go back when more car work is needed.

I took my vehicle to the Fort Worth (Camp Bowie West) location 3weeks ago. I went in for a $239 service the first price increase was $2134 then I got called a day later saying the price was going up because it needs parts. I walked out with a bill of $4515. To top that off my truck didn’t even make it 10miles from there shop before it starts doing the same thing. I call them and let them know it didn’t get fixed properly. I take it back a week later let them look at it and they find the issue. They say to leave it but I can’t because it my company vehicle I need to take care of some things first. I take it back a week later drop it off and leave. The guy at the front desk calls me at 5:12 PM your truck is done I said ok on my way his words were we close at 6 so be here before then then. I show up at 5:49 the shop is closed. So please take your vehicle else where!!

The manager has the worst customer service i have ever experienced. He was rude and demeaning. He did not even call me back an extra repair he went ahead and did the repair and charged me without my permission. He ordered the wrong part and would not admit it or keep me informed. I had to call to inquire about my car abd then he laughed at me for calling.

I got an honest and upfront opinion on what they thought was wrong with my 2009 f150, but they still ran the diagnostic to make sure exactly what was wrong and help find the most cost effective way to make the repairs. After multiple attempt could not get a receipt for transmission fluid change. Manager could not provide any other information, like brand and quantity of fluid used. So, now Im not even sure if service was done at all. Unprofessional attitude. Stay away from this shop.

For fear, and lack of money, of course I drove it until it completely failed and stranded me on the side of the highway, forcing me out of avoidance.At AAMCO John greeted me with professionalism & kindness. He referred me to a tow company (best and most humane towing company I have dealt with, ever; It is no surprise that trustworthy folks associate with other trustworthy folks.) These guys are honest and very thorough. I highly recommend. We took our old daily driver car there certain there was something wrong with the transmission. Two separate mechanics drove it around and tried to recreate the issue we had seen but it never happened again. Some computer codes came up but they were benign.

I had a botched transmission rebuild and was in tears. John Rodriguez came highly recommended by a good friend of mine. He was honest and unbelievably sympathetic. Please for Christ sake take your vehicle elsewhere. The fact is first conclusion is they want to just pull your transmission, I take my Vehicle elsewhere more reputable place, just to be told the parts that were installed were far from new in a matter of days.The day after I pick my vehicle up, same code check engine light comes on.They have ZERO sympathy and will not warrant any work done with pictures of the replaced part, however calling 1800 number, hoping and praying for a better result in the mean time to save yourself more headache and trouble than its worth please do not go to AAMCO. Ive been to several car shops on camp bowie, and these guys are by far the most professinal and timely that i have been to. They are honest and upfront and found the root of the problem in no time. If i have any issues in the future, i will definitely be coming here.

The staff was courteous and professional as well as knowledgeable. I had transmission engine check light work done, they did good efficient work at a reasonable price. TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE I came in on 8/5/17 to have a leak checked that was caused by another dealership. Not only was the service fast l, but it was honesty, and accurate. The technician was informative, honest and he even took a picture of the leak so I could forward to the other shop that caused the leak. The service was cheaper than the same exact job I had done at the Ford Dealership with a coupon and it was done correct with a new filter and warranty. I will be taking my business here for now on. The prices are ridiculous. They probably did a good job with the labor and actual work on the vehicle. But paying $675 for a $400 part is not right. So if you get the parts through them expect to pay up to 2x the original price. People are nice, the prices are not.

This was our third shop we went to trying to find out what was wrong with our truck. They had it diagnosed in 30 min and then replaced the part in an hour. These guys were amazing. Very nice, quick and knowledgeable! We will definitely be going back here for all of our car needs.

My car broke down while visiting in Fort Worth. I had no idea where to take it and just had to tow it somewhere. They did a great job with a difficult situation. They searched around and found a refurbished ECM (computer) for my car (my car is a 2005 and they dont make it anymore). They replaced the ECM, starter, coil packs, and gave it a tune up. John even met me up there on a Sunday so I could pick up my car as I had to get a ride there from my hometown over 100 miles away. That was really nice of him and saved me having to rent a car during the week to pick it up. I really appreciated that and the car is running great! Hoping to get a few more years out of it! Thanks everyone for all you did to help me out!

Con artists, quoted me one price then called me with thousands and thousands dollars more!! I never told them to do anything to my car and when they called and said they have already started to do work on my vehicle, I COULD NOT AFFORD IT!! Didnt even call and ask my permission. They are escortionists and prey on those struggling during this pandemic. They have no work so they are trying to make all the money the can on a single mom who cant work or get to the grocery store to buy us food. If I could give then zero stars I would.

Ive taken my 09 Silverado here for a transmission rebuild and lifter replacement. Classic Chevy! John and his team of mechanics took care of everything in a very reasonable amount of time. Ill keep coming back, just not too soon, I hope.

After spending months in the shop and thousand of dollars car was not fixed. I kept on them and was told I now had another issue which would cost another thousand. The problem description never changed. These people are crooks. I could not continue this stress. Bought a new car.

My dad and I had a major transmission problem in our F250 develop while headed to pick up equipment in Houston from AZ. John helped us get a rental truck to continue on our way while his crew rebuilt the transmission. We only lost about 8 hrs. of time. The truck has ran perfectly ever since! Weve taken multiple vehicles here, and I can say without question these guys are HONEST and do good work with very fair pricing. John (manager) is a nice guy and will take time to discuss your car & answer any questions (even if you have a ton of them). More than once Ive taken a vehicle here for a second opinion after getting a ridiculous quote elsewhere, and theyve done the work for a lower price, and sometimes even told me the previous quoted work wasnt even necessary. A few years ago, I had my car towed here with what appeared to be a major transmission issue. I was prepared to spend a pretty penny to replace the whole transmission; John called me & let me know it was a simple loose hose & an extremely inexpensive fix. A less honest shop could have easily taken advantage of the situation. As a female vehicle owner, I highly recommend this shop. Very trustworthy.

AAMCO was highly recommended to me when I needed a new transmission and was desperate for someone I could trust, and I highly recommend John Rodriguez and his team for anything your car needs repairing that they handle. (There was 30+ vehicles, so no way in hell that you would get your car back in time!) and they check it for you but they told me, if they find the problem & I would pay for the solution (A.K.A) Price Gouge Me. Don’t waste your time with this place.

I highly recommend Aamco on Camp Bowie for maintenance and car repairs. John Rodriguez and the service techs provide high-quality and professional total car care. I have had warranty, insurance, and regular maintenance service provided by John and his crew for the past year. Each time John went above and beyond to ensure that my car was fully repaired and returned within a reasonable time. John Rodriguez and the service techs at Aamco on Camp Bowie Blvd are AWESOME!

After taking my car to 2 different transmission places to have my transmission replaced its hard to trust anybody with your car. I decided to take it to AAMCO. John kept me informed on what was going on with my car. I have my car back now Im back on the road. I want to thank John and AAMCO for taking care of me!!!

The guys at the Camp Bowie shop are great, highly recommended! Been to several shops in town and theyre at the top in terms of service and know-how. I have a 66 Buick Skylark that needed transmission work and they not only got it fixed up but have generously provided a variety of additional services for little or no cost. Always look forward to working with them.

My car needed a new axle, my insurance covered it all through AAMCO I originally went to firestone but my insurance told me they where over charging and would only cover half so they advised me to go to aamco so I could have it all cover! And they did Id recommend always and forever :)

I went to Aamco to have my car serviced because the engine was revving up while the car was idle and it was making funny noise. I dropped the car off in the morning and one of the guys brought me into work. They looked at the engine which is where the noise was coming from and determined that my Idle Air Control Valve was sticking and not allowing enough to air to get to the engine. I expected an absorbent fee to have this fixed since it was something having to do with the engine. I was really surprised that the total amount was only 262.16. I told the guys to go ahead with the fix, and this was at about 11:30 am. I called for a status update on the car at 2:30 and was pleased to hear that the part had arrived, but they sent it back to the company that they ordered it from because it was a used part. They said that a brand new part was on its way and the car would be done before I got off work. I was really grateful that they were so honest and upfront with me about the problem and that they did not compromise on the quality of the part. I will recommend them in the future.

After getting ripped off by another transmission shop, John and his guys at Aamco here assessed the work done by the other shop, told me what they did and did NOT do, fixed it, and had my 3/4 ton diesel back on the road in 2 days. Aamco here gave me a leg to stand on when it came time to dispute the charges from the transmission shop that ripped me off.Will absolutely come back to this specific location because of the communication, timely service, and overall customer service. My vehicle needed an expensive repair which couldnt wait. Manager John Rodriguez was very kind and explained financing options. He arranged a ride home for me and pick up the next day. Very pleased with my entire experience and will be a customer for a long time to come.

I would give no stars but it wont let me. Took my truck there. Mentioned I thought it had a bad head gasket. Told them i had the money to just fix whatever is wrong. They replace a water pump send me on the way. Starts overheating. I leave it with them again for a week cause I was going out of town and need the truck 100%. They call and tell me there was just air in the system it will be fine to go ahead and drive it. I tell them to fix other things to get the truck right. It took 3 days for them to do the spark plugs! Needless to say I get it back drive it it starts to overheat I take it back again. Again air in the lines. They bleed it give it back to me and tell me its ok. Turns out it was a blown head gasket like I had said the first time I walked in the shop. Of course i had to take it to another shop cause these guys are to lazy to hook up the machine that tells them there is exhaust fumes in the coolant. That or they didnt want to replace my head gaskets which is yet again just lazy. Im having the new mechanic look over all their work as i dont trust any of their work now and dont think any one should. I told them the damn headgasket. These guys are lazy and dont know what they are doing.
