The Mercantile is a hidden gem! This place is huge and filled with antiques as well as home decor, healthy plants, candies, wigs, jewelry & watch repair shop and a tea room! There is definitely something for everyone here. I will definitely be back to visit. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Very clean and organized. Lack of variety, for a place that large all the booths were very similar, felt like one large store with only one theme. Very few antiques or vintage items, lots of craft fair quality clothing, same farmhouse signs you can get everywhere. Despite my eclectic taste nothing caught my eye. Not a place for those who really enjoy antiquing, it is the place if you like items that your great anut displays on her bookshelves.

An array of items. Very nicely laid out. Find new items and old. Very large and you can find almost anything. Found what we needed and had a nice time. No pressure. Large checkout. They help you load it. And a large selection of jewelry is in front. I found typical things. Furniture. Lamps. Knicks knacks. Cowboy stuff. They have a jewelry stand that can fix things for you. Very lovely Golden Citrine Jewelers ... You they have wigs. Tons of clothing booths! I added about 80 pics from today March 9 2021. If you want to scan thru them... Tons of items!!! Good 2 to 3 hour walk thru!!

For a thursday the place was pretty full, not so full though that we were waiting to be seated for so long that we almost left. After being shown to a table we were greeted by a complimentary bowl of toasties which are like big fantastic croutons. We each got the garden club, which was fantastic. My friends got the iced special tea which they loved, I went with it hot which was ok but for a black tea was steeped WAY to long (super strong). We all got the Garden club ($8.95) which was toasty and delicious. The atmosphere is very nice with all of the fairy lights around the room. My major issue was the desserts, I initially ordered the Chocolate rose petal cake which was a slab of cake with reddi whip and a half of a strawberry (reminiscent of family reunions) and tried the Chocolate Meringue Pie (which tasted like instant pudding covered in meringue) each dessert was $3.95. I personally settled on no dessert after tasting the two aforementioned desserts my friends received. After eating we were given 10% off cards for the mercantile. Could have easily made this at home honestly.

Love it for so many reasons. Although I must confess I rarely escape without buying something, I love just browsing the shops. Many offering glimpses of a forgotten past others unique accessories, clothing, crafts, such a diverse collecton of inventory. Of course every visit should include a trip to the quaint Rose Garden Tea Room. Food here just as wonderful as the staff & atmosphere is perfect for a good visit. Love it!

It was a wonderful short experience to me and my family. I am an old-soul as well as my husband and son and in that being said, we really like the store. The products are beautiful but they are pricey. I cant tell if an item is antique or not and thats sad. I think the store sell both antique items and modern ones. Nonetheless, i like it and Im coming back.

6/4/20-Had passed by for many years and decided to finally stop by. The lady that greeted me was really nice. Found a mirror that I liked, asked the lady about it. She brought it to the register and held it for me. Went through and found another mirror and checked out with another lady that didnt seem to thrilled to talk to us. Got the mirrors home and on the back of thr first one it had a price tag from At Home for $39.99....I was charged $65! Definitely felt ripped off

We are returning satisfied customers to the Rose Garden Tearoom and restaurant. We go here at least once a month for Sunday lunch.Parking and entrance are generally convenient. The parking lot and entrance ramp for wheelchairs needs to be resurfaced because of holes and uneven surface.Inside we are always greeted by the friendly and kind people at the entrance information and check-out center. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable. The servers always greet us with a friendly smile. The food is always great. I like the Loa salad; it has fresh fruit and mandarin oranges, pecans, and grilled chicken on fresh lettuce and greens. Quiche and soup are always a special; several choices are available over the weeks. A full entry special is always an option. Their crunchy garlic bread pieces are a great appetizer while waiting for our meals. Their Rose tea is a treat. The restroom is fully wheelchair handicapped accessible. An added bonus is the incredible selection of antiques, artwork, and treasures throughout the building. Several display cases show antique and costume jewelry. You will need to return several times to see it all!We are returning satisfied customers!

Very nice place. Great tearoom (you MUST try the pie!)! Most of the booths are boutiques selling modern decor, trendy clothing, and crafts, but there are some antique-filled booths dotted throughout, including lots of wonderful jewelry and furniture. If you need ritzy gifts for the gals, this is a great spot to look. A bit on the pricier side, so dont expect a junk-shop style treasure hunt here, but there are bargains to be had if you take your time.

This is less an antique mall than a year round arts & crafts fair. If you want an interesting vintage find, go to Ties to the Past or Montgomery Street Antique Mall. If you want innovative shabby chic decor, handmade clothes made from hand woven fabric, an unusual gift for a special friend, artisan soap or some gourmet fudge, you came to the right place.

First off, the place is rather large. Which, is a good thing. It may have just been the day I visited but it seemed a bit short staffed. Also, I meandered around for the best part of an hour and not once did a single individual so much as even say hello. Now, I actually shun the sales pitch and run light speed away from someone trying to slicker me but, a little friendly grease never hurt none. This shop is a hard one to pic down as for just what their main claim to fame would be. True, there were an ample supply of grandmas bear and duck decorations and a good helping of second hand WalMart but there really wasnt anything that grabbed my wallet and screamed BUY ME!I will give it another shot Im sure.
