Called them 5 days ago about machine failure, was seen today and given a story about mask leak. Gave me a mask to try. Told Id have to wait until May before they could do anything about my machine. Machine does not work, period. Now its 1 am and I cant breathe well enough to sleep safely. Even better, a month ago, they called to ask for money because they turned me into collections. Really? Then why did you send me a refund for overpayment just before that? I cant stress this enough, do not trust this place.
Was refereed to Apria by my doctor on 9/22. Apria called me on 9/22 to start the paperwork process and send me CPAP refills. Today is 10/27 and we have officially canceled using them. The paperwork process and steps to follow is never ending. Every time you call them you get a different person in a different part of the world. No one can answer your questions, but they would be happy to transfer you to someone who can... over and over again. RUN AWAY from Apria!
I was referred to Apria by my doctor. Apria strong armed into buying a mask that I did not want or fit correctly. I had a friend give his spare mask before the machine would even start to work for me. However, the machine has never helped. Aprias attitude was basically we have your money (many hundreds of $$$) and if you want help, that will cost you even more $$$. They are slick used cars sales men who want your money more them helping you sleep
0 stars. This company is terrible. Look elsewhere for medical equipment. You WILL be unhappy working with them.
I have COPD and went to the doctor 2 days ago and they ordered a new nebulizer since my other one that I got in 2015 was broke. I have bronchitis/pneumonia right now too which means I REALLY NEED A BREATHING TREATMENT. My pulmonolgy group sent the order to Apria 2 days ago and even called the district manager for Fort Wayne area to make sure that the order showed. Just hung up on them because pulmo group SENT THE ORDER WHILE I WAS STANDING IN THE OFFICE, Apria says I do not see any new orders for you WELL THEN WHERE DID IT GO???????????? My LMG doctors have NEVER LIED about sending anything before, all my meds that were sent at the same visit went through. I should have listened when I saw all the reviews. I see the light now and just called the doctor to send it to one here in Fort Wayne that actually has 4.8 stars and GOOD REVIEWS. If you need your medical supplies quickly, STAY AWAY FROM APRIA!!!!!!!
Terrible place to get anything from. Had problems with my mother and her oxygen. Spent 2 hours 3 way talking with them and Medicare and talked to them several times. Gave up and paid 500+. Then they sent me a bill 18 months after they had sent me cpap equipment. Talked to them NUMEROUS times. Turned me over to collection agency. NOT a reputable company
Useless is my experience with Apria. I suffered a house fire. I have yet to receive all of the headgear required for me to sleep.
The worst company to deal with. Over billing, poor record keeping and billing without billing Medicare first. Medicare even shared they get many many calls complaining about Apria. Dont go down the rabbit hole. Use any other company first.
As a responsible person, I called to ask what the full cost of a cpap is-- you know, so I could budget for it but they absolutely refused to tell me. The machine has a price take I said but they told me they werent allowed to tell me. Saying with the differences in contractural rates is BS because they had my insurance info. TELL ME THAT RATE THEN!! Then, when my insurance asked for the full cost of the machine before they would pay a rental fee and they STILL wouldnt tell me so I could give documentation to my insurance. SERIOUSLY people-- we are just honest people trying to live within our means and try to afford this machine we need to have to sleep like a normal person. The machine has a price tag doesnt it???!?! Than stop being a crook and tell us!! Ridiculous.
I recently had a doctors order for a piece of equipment sent to Fort Wayne Apria. After several days of getting the run around I was told that my insurance had denied authorization for the equipment. I am double insured and when I checked with my secondary insurance company I found that the claim had never been submitted. I have been told during three phone conversations with them that they were referring it to the manager to look into it and that I would here back from them.,Today is day eleven trying to get this equipment, and I still get no cooperation from FW Apria.
If I could give this company a -1 then I would. Their customer service sucks! Ive been trying to get oxygen for my mother since Feb 7 when the Dr ordered it. They finally delivered yesterday Feb 21st. I have no respect for a customer service dept who will not transfer you to the person who you spoke to the day before and who said if you have any questions please ask to be transferred to me. I also have no respect for customer service who claims 9 times out of 10 the Dr office doesnt know how to write and order. Come on now, I talked to the nurse too, and they have confirmation of faxing the orders per your company. And I have no respect for a company who says, if your insurance company does not authorize the order we will not fill it. Ok. Have you ever heard of cash pay?Now Ive gotta get them to deliver on the CPAP machine. Which theyve already started calling my mom saying the order was not written right. I think its just their policy to say your doctor doesnt know what hes doing.I would not recommend this company to anyone!!!!!
I wish zero stars was an option but it isnt. Great place to get supplies if you enjoy paying high prices. Also, they will send you bills from two years earlier that you had no idea about.
My wife is dying in the hospital. She is on life support, unresponsive and we are taking her off life support tomorrow so that she may pass peacefully. Your local branch in Ft. Wayne will not pick up her home equipment. They told me only a doctor can order this-they actually were rude about it. OK. I got with the doctor. Apria sent a message back saying that I now must have a Power of Attorney. My wife is DYING! We are taking her off of life support tomorrow. She will pass. Please stop making this so difficult! You heartless bastards, just pick this stuff up! Damn you!
I cannot convey how upset I am with this company. In Nov. 2018, my Cpap machine was diagnosed as unfixable. I then went to my respiratory doctor who ordered a new sleep study, which I had Jan. 8, 2019. The order for my new machine was sent to Apria on Jan. 25, 2019. Although I had spoken with two separate individuals from Apria giving them my new insurance information no one ever contact me about ordering a new machine. I only know that a new machine order was placed after calling the company two or three times. When I again heard nothing back I called again early Feb. That is when I was told my machine had been ordered but not yet arrived, they would put a rush order on it and call me back within 24-48 hours. I was given the cost for my portion of the machine after insurance cost. I did not hear back and went on a planned trip for two weeks. Today, 2/25/2019, I call to see what is going on to be told the company does not work with my insurance provider and the order has been canceled. No one bothered to call me to let me know my order had been canceled or inform me that they would not accept my insurance. I am beyond upset with this company and would advise anyone considering using this company to verify before expecting any service to be provided or look for a different company to work with.
My wife experiences everything that any reviewer has posted previously. I would give zero stars too to rate them. The only issue I have is that of the reviewers that posted a negative comment and mentioned that they switched companies, the never mention the company they switch to. I would like to know a good oxygen company that services NE Indiana.
I wouldnt even give them 1 star (they have our bill) so messed up and tried charging 3 different insurance companies to get more money and no one knows what is going on there, I finally filed a claim with attorney general to get some results and now they turned me over to collection agency for a $28 bill after the problem was resolved with the attorney general. The place should be closed, its a joke. Buy youre supplies from airway oxygen.
Had a interview to deal with sleep apnea. Found them very helpful. Hope their suggestions help. We were satisfied with their efforts.
Only got the one star because it was the only way I could write this review. This company is totallyincompetent and should not be allowed to be a medicare provider.I have filed a complaint with Medicare. Waited 2 and a half months for a walker and wheelchair. Kept getting the same response 7-10 days to process the order. They never delivered. Had to buy the equipment out of pocket.Bet I get the same canned response all the other reviews got.
Extremely expensive and no payment plans available. Its a cpap machine not a TV. I NEED it to sleep. How can you have no payment plans? So then I buy one second hand and find its actually cheaper to buy my cpap supplies in cash online than to pay my copay to get them here. What a total ripoff.
I would give them zero stars if I could. Took our money out multiple times without our permission. Very hard to work with.
They have got to be one of the worst companies I have ever done business with. Nobody knows what anybody else is doing. I have been trying to get the correct information from them for 4 months and every time I call they give me different answers. Its a little scary that they are in the medical field!!!
Apria may not take this seriously, but we do!My husband works for a major freight transportation company. We certainly hopeour insurance company considers using a different supplier than Apria in the future! A couple people would have given them a negative rating here, but had to give them at least a 1 to leave a comment! I would agree!!For starters, although our insurance covers an instructional consultation on using the CPAP equipment, we were not offered one by Apria until we requested it in writing and jumped through hoops to get it. All that comes with the machine are written instructions and diagrams. The video of how to use it is basically a pdf format of the papers that come with the machine in the first place! The outcome of these studies are significant as they can effect my husbands employability. We arent taking chances with a 25 year career! We had to go through our specialist to get a tutorial set up with Apria. (The specialist could do the same service, but the insurance company prefers we go through Apria.- and some want socialized medicine! 😣)Apria told our specialists office that Lisa from the Ft. Wayne office would be calling yesterday to get an appointment scheduled. Lisa never called. Considering my husband is on a time constraint to fulfil his obligations for this study, we called Apria this morning and scheduled an appointment through Aprias answering service - which is in a foreign country. While we were on the phone scheduling with them, the Muncie Apria office called to get an appointment set up, but left a message for us to call back, ask for Amy and give them her extension number. The timing of the phone call from the Muncie office was pretty ironic, dont you think?!John & Angel (the foreign countrys associates) kept getting my name wrong and confusing it with the secretarys name at the Muncie Office. They didnt understand some of what we were saying and we had to repeat ourselves multiple times. We finally managed to get the appointment scheduled at the office. As soon as we got off the phone with the foreign country, we IMMEDIATELY! returned the call from the Muncie office about getting an appointment scheduled by following the Muncie secretarys instructions left on voicemail. Guess where the call had to go through? The foreign country. We were told the extension number Amy left on voicemail didnt work. We called the Muncie office direct. It is a non-working number. We had to talk to someone in a foreign country AGAIN to set up the appointment that is an hour away. Angel got through on the same extension number that hadnt worked before, but this time did. However, Amy wouldnt answer her phone. So, hopefully, my husband really, truly is scheduled with Apria to get the training he needs to properly wear the machine his job is requiring him to use so he doesnt get pulled out of service. This procedure is extremely unprofessional. As the results from their equipment carry the weight of our familys livelihood, I sincerely hope the insurance company will take it into consideration to contract with a different supplier in the future.Like I said, Apria may not take it seriously, but we do!
Tried for over two hours to get a hold of someone from the Fort Wayne, IN Apria Office. I got Overland, Kansas eight times and Manila Philippines call center six times. I was an Apria customer nine years ago, now I remember why I stopped. Cannot ever get anyone in the actual Fort Wayne Office to answer the phone. Overland, Kansas call center transferred me each of the eight times. The phone rang, and rang, then I received a disconnect signal. It is an emergency and I need a part for my cpap mask, it cracked last night and it is beyond repair. Without it, I will not be able to sleep until I get that part. I am NOT going to use Apria again.
Should be 0 stars. Didnt tell me that they wouldnt fulfill my CPAP order (after having ordered through them earlier that year) and I had to call to find out 2-3 weeks later! Then they tell me that my insurance is out of network. My insurance said they were listed as being in network, called Apria and updated their billing info on file. Apria then contacts me later saying that Im still out of network. Its frustrating and sad that a company selling medical supplies operates so poorly.
I had a problem with my machine and needed a new one. They gave me the pillows I needed until mine came in. Nice folks. Thank you.
If I could give half a star, I would. I agree with other reviewers. You cant talk directly to the Fort Wayne office. Call centers put you on hold for way too long. The robo calls are ridiculous. On the other hand, there is one employee at the local office that is most helpful if and when you get to actually see her.
My mom needed orings for her regulators She placed a order last week, she called twice this week . And they tell no order was done . They asked if she could go pick it up she told them no ! That her tank leaks. Shes been with them for at least 4 years . You cannot talk to the Fort Wayne office . Shes very upset . Needed to rant . Its unbelievable she cant go nowhere until she gets them.
I drive over the road as a truck driver. My hose melted because of the bunk heater . I can buy a hose at most truck stops. But in Ft Wayne no luck. I went to Apria to get one but they refused to sell me one. They tried to tell me they need a prescription. Seriously for an over the counter item?!
Everyone we talked to their English was terrible. They none seemed to know what they were doing. Very disappointed in customer service but my insurance only will let us use them.
All calls go to robo system, they are not allowed to switch calls to Fort Wayne office, you must make appointments through call center. When you go into office, they cant find your appointment, tell you to make another appointment which you must do by phone, they will not do in office.I was told to come in and pick up new CPAP machine, no tech available to answer any questions, a DVD was included with machine, gives some information, but not everything a new user needs. Oh in my box they did not include a mask, Cpap machines are worthless without a mask. Will buy one somewhere else, never going into this office again. When I was there, they brought an older woman in a wheelchair that had been sent the wrong oxygen supplies. She was having difficulty breathing and had an appointment, but the tech who handles Oxygen was not there for some reason. They treated that poor soul like dirt. Beware they also want you to sign up for automatic supply shipments more often than you need, if insurance will pay for it. Know people who used this office, in years past and they were okay. Something terrible has happened there as you can see by the other reviews.
Went in to get a Cpap tube and mask ordered through insurance, and was told Id be getting a call in a couple days and that my items would be at my door in a couple more days. This is day 15 Ive been waiting and have heard nothing from this place. Im very disappointed and wont return.
Horrible customer service! Tried to get oxygen for my dad who is in the nursing home. Apria calls me for my credit card information but later calls me back to cancel the order because my dad is in a nursing home, even though I told them that up front. Now over 3 weeks later and 4 phone calls to them I am still waiting to get my money back.
I only gave a one star because my special needs brother is still alive because they carry oxygen. This is the most unorganized, non-communicating, non-compassionate place Ive ever had to deal. I hate that you cant call the local office to speak to anyone, I have to talk to 5 people and explain what i want or need to all 5 people before I speak to the person I really need to speak to. I could go on and on about how disappointed I am with this company but I wont.
Took them a whole day to get my babys breathing machine he was so sick but they dont care had to make sure insurance covered it first forget that my baby was suffering we need money first
Every person I dealt with in the office or on the phone was totally incompetent. Avoid this business and their services.
Horrible company, can not get supplies. We order but they never get shipped, we call but can not get through to a person.
They are working very hard to charge me multiple times. Have charged me for supplies I never ordered and never received. Two days after paying for my machine they called at 730 at night trying to collect a higher amount again! During my visit to pick up my machine, the manager would not let me make a complaint, she kept talking over me. I will be looking for a new supplier as I will never order from them again. The minimum of 1 star is too high. Zero should be allowed. I dont see how they are still in business.
Apria has moved. The new address is 6413 Cross Creek Blvd 46818
Terrible reviews, will not go in here, based on other google reviews
They leave your papers forever on the desk and even when you call they take forever. The insurance hasnt even received my papers yet to approve.
Cant get a human on the phone hrs of hold time
Very poor service. You would be wise to go with another company.
Robot answering service sucks! I get put on terminal hold.
Shouldve went somewhere else
