Mynett Music is great for those that play orchestral instruments. You will find brass, woodwind, and strings here, and a wide variety of necessities and accessories for them + lessons and repairs.

Im sorry to have to leave such a low rating, but my questions after my cello was set up, went unanswered. As a result, I feel like I just threw $75 away in the trash. I picked up my cello and brought it home only to find that it was grossly out of tune. Every set up on instrumentation that I have received over decades has included tuning. I left a message to try to find out if there was trouble tuning the instrument or if they didnt try to tune it. The phone message went unanswered. I was trying to decide if it was a manufacturing defect or if the cello was just very difficult to tune. I finally figured out that it was a manufacturing defect, since the cello never reached a true pitch on any of the 4 strings. I would think youd be able to determine this during setup, but Ill never know what their input or side of the story is. I returned the cello to the manufacturer.

I should disclose that I first went to the Sweetwater Music main retail store and factory first, looking for woodwind instruments and accessories FIRST. This made had jaded my view on Mynett Music because theyre words apart. Sweetwater owns Mynett Music. While Sweetwater Music is huge and carries and huge variety of drum, string, guitar, and recording and sound equipment, Mynett is fairly limited in their offerings. Their store is much smaller and the brands and amount of woodwind and brass instruments dont compare to their main campus.

Great service! My son needed a trumpet for 6th grade band. Jesse was very helpful and patient, showed him how to oil, clean and maintain the instrument and was very professional and engaging.

Ive been a customer of Mynett Music for over 25 years and never had a bad experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful. As the principal trombonist with the Philharmonic, I have a keen interest in keeping my horns in good working order. The repair staff at Mynett is second to none. I have had numerous repairs done to my trombones (Deb is awesome!), purchased horns for me and my students, and bought countless supplies. They are always competitive price-wise, knowledgable, honest, and worth going to for musical needs for a quarter of a century.

Not a good vibe. It felt like the lady working was annoyed that we came in to purchase something. Still made a purchase but will find a different store to buy from next time.

Our experience looking for a new instrument was made incredibly easy and enjoyable thanks to the help of Kevin. He kept our interests as a first priority and was super helpful with his insight and would recommend him to anyone.

The repair cost for a single solder joint was overpriced ($35) and my instrument came back with some more scratches and lacquer wear than before. They did fix the problem but werent that fast. I would use them again but only in a pinch.

This place is full of condescending, arrogant, repair techicians. I have bought several thousand dollars worth of instruments and accessories elsewhere because of their bad customer service.

Extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff, best instrument repair team in town, they take great care of local schools, and their rental and sale prices are more than fair!

We had a horrible experience! After paying half of the cost of the instrument upfront, they gave the instrument to another child. Then when the school contacted them, Mynett claimed no knowledge of a rental. Then a week later informed us they just found out there was a problem (as if the school never called). I believe they were going to just continue taking our money and never give us what we paid for. I call that theft!
