My favorite grocery store in fort Wayne as a matter of fact its better than anywhere Ive ever been.
This Kroger is stocked properly and ran well. The employees are always polite in the shelves are always stocked. Unfortunately the parking lot situation is not the best. Kroger shares a parking lot with several other businesses so its always busy sometimes to the point where its dangerous. I am taking away one star because of this. This is a much better store than the one in waynedale off Bluffton road.
The absolute worst kroger in Fort wayne. They never have a cash lane open so the lines are always ridiculous. Its been like this for over a year.
They need to hire people or give the people they have hours! Waited in line for 30 minson a Wednesday
I was at West State Krogers and couldnt find a rib roast. Randy went and cut one for me. I forgot to ask him to cut it in half. He took the already packaged rib roast and went and cut it in half for me and repackaged it. Thats great customer service.
I pay my Gas & Electric bill there. And when I need groceries, I usually buy them there. Unless the price for the product is way out of my price range. For example, Starbucks mocha 4-packs are $7.99!That $1.50 a 4 pack more than Walmart!I usually buy 4 or 5 - 4 packs! But not at $7.99 a 4 pack! They used to be a deal at $4.99 a 4 pack! Now, theyre $3.00 more? What for?Greed perhaps.Yea, Ill pass! But their Fruit is fresh, Most Prices are Comparable with Walmart. They have good deals. And they have a Fueling Station near the corner of State Blvd and St. Mary St.Store is always clean,Staff is helpful and friendly.I mask up.Better to be safe, than sorry or Dead!Kind of a no brainer thing.
Great store friendly staff
The employees are nice, the place is clean, overall pretty good.
Ive never been inside the store, I always use the Curbside Pick-up option! Convenient and easy. Ive never waited longer than 10 minutes, from pulling up to having the groceries in my trunk. I like that they fulfill orders for perishables and frozen foods, since Walmart and Target dont offer that for curbside service.
One of the older Krogers, but nothing is wrong with it! Friendly staff that knows what they are talking about. Well stocked regularly.
Great placement in regards to easily accessible to the community, friendly and very helpful and Well Mannered employees, easy to find items
Fast friendly and Nice coupons through App
Very good produce and meat
Nice people, good selection of groceries.
Always use kroger for my scripts... Also my daughters diapers are usually a little cheaper there than walmart ( white box of huggies)
The employee are nice and you can find what youre looking for easily.
Waiting currently at the west state Kroger’s For online grocery pick up in Fort Wayne over 20 min still waiting on my order to come out. I’m the only one here it’s 11am not busy terrible service and not convenient. Will never be doing this again do not recommend this to anyone
Very pleasant!
This *was* my go to Kroger since I moved to this side of town. However, a few months ago, they did a store reset and now its horrible! The aisles are so narrow you have to practically crawl over each other to get past one another--they were just enough before. The merchandise is poorly organised--snacks and candy on one side of an aisle and baking goods on the other--that makes sense. Everything is so crammed together on the shelves you have to search and search to find things and stuff just looks packed in. Not to mention half of what you need is out of reach on risers (for overstock) or the upper shelves. Every time they run a good sale on something it seems to be completely shopped out by 1pm. I dont blame the employees--theyre friendly and always helpful and knowledgeable; I believe corporate is trying to stuff more into the store than what can fit and ITS NOT WORKING. Kroger: You need to change your ways!! Im done with this store; Im changing locations. I hate to do that but it took me an 1.5 hours today from all the backtracking (mostly this), hunting down employees to find stuff and waiting for people to move around and thats ridiculous! But what about the people that will just change up companies or worse yet go online?? Get it together please!!
Horrible horrible horrible they follow you around as if you are stealing. I was on my way to work and the cashier at the u -scan Joann was watching me like a hawk she made me late triple checking my order. Wow what a horrible experience
Never got stuff stocked
Helpful, friendly & over great place to shop...
Cant beat the Deals the have. Other stores just try to copy..
Shopping Kroger is almost always a great experience. The customer service is from stock support, cashiers and baggers is always wonderful as well as from those at the service desk up front.Their sale prices are great with substantial savings each week and we enjoy the quality meats.
I found poo on the floor in Target once.
Very, very clean and well stocked. What I saw were all employees either working to keep a organized structure, or just clocking in. Customer service care were curteous as well as efficient and parking lot was polished! This location is great for a pure shopping experience, I love it. Now another just like it is needed Northwest.
Clean store that seems to be kept well stocked. The staff are friendly and helpful.
This store needs to catch up with the rest. Specifically when it comes to their organic selections and natural foods in general. St. Joe Roads Kroger is a standard of excellence. The State street location is only 1/3 of the greatness the St. Joe Road location is.
Not impressed that the hot food was so dry I couldn’t tell the meat from the bone. The “vegetables,” were the most flavorless food I’ve ever had. My guess is that it had been in the tray at least as long as the chicken. The tables were filthy and, thanks to the fly that kept me company, I didn’t suffer alone. Then we get to the butter selection. Folks, “natural flavors,” in your butter makes it not butter. ONE choice at ten dollars a pound if I didn’t want to gamble on “natural flavors.”Sadly, this seems to be the standard of what is considered “good,” here. Look at the reviews. They’re astonishing.
The employees are very helpful and nice. The store is usually pretty clean and they have a good variety of foods.Veganand organic too.
The bakery is super great here and Nicholas was very happy to personally box up some FRESH OUT THE OVEN awesome Apple Cinnamon soft top cookies for my wife n myself!! YUMMY!
My favorite grocery store in town. Its large enough for almost every grocery need without being overwhelming. The staff are friendly and helpful, which is a reflection on great management. And they are diligent at keeping checkout lines short.
I really like the Kroger on W. State. Its easy to find stuff. And if you cant find it, ask and they usually have more in the back. The cashiers and staff are wonderful.
Great nice staff good people
Very clean and and organized. Helpful employees, customer service and self checkout
I love porter period, but I am especially fond of this location. Friendly and well laid out. You cant beat the deals. Free Friday downloads make me very happy :)
Plenty parking nice remolded store great deli bakery area for a sit down snack/ lunch
Ive been going to this Kroger Now for a decade... The reason for that is the staff and management at this store and the excellent service Ive received. I keep coming back even though I dont live close to it now... Love this store!
The store was busy. However, I was still to make a quick trip in and out for a few items.Despite the store being busy the cashier was in good spirits and let them show.
This is the dumping ground for Krogers.Rather than returning, it is cheaper to put it in this store. The low income residents, that live in this area. Do not have a choice where they shop at.I have been overcharged for many things, and will not go here anymore. Please see my picture, will not return.
Seems relatively clean and well stocked. Not as many products as the super store on Dupont. But great to have this store close to home.
Kroger is so fast. Friendly. Always want to help u. Great place. Done with the other stores.
I love shopping here! I can usually find what I came for and the sales coupled with coupon deals are amazing! The people that work here are friendly and eager to help. Five stars Kroger!
Lady in floral very nice but I brought in my own balloons I bought at store and krogers charges you like I got your balloons. You should have a lesser price if you bring in your own balloons!!! Wont be back until you do.
Love this place very nice people
Prices are a lot better than they used to be, but are still higher than Walmart. Also, the clientele gets a little sketchy late at night.Other than that, I have no complaints. The staff are friendly and the store has everything a supermarket should.
Very convenient prices is reasonable nice variety of items. And the employees are very helpful
Had a great experience working with the Columbia City Kroger this past weekend....our organization frys sausage sandwiches at the Old Settlers days...the manager was very accommodating having my huge order of 800 sandwich buns and supplies ready for pickup. Thanks
Great lay out, nice people, good produce.
This Kroger doesnt have as much as larger stores and often shelves are empty. It makes me mad because I end up having to go elsewhere. Its very convenient to home and work.
Nice store. Well stocked. Good deals
Horrible, they pay their employees minimum wage even though they are a billion dollar company. Nobody can live on minimum wage not alone. Kroger needs to appreciate their employees and pay them more. They deal with having to clean up after everyone, bag for customers and collect carts from the parking lot because lazy people. They do their job the best they can for us work a lot and they get paid 7.25. its bullsh*t
I had trouble finding some things at this Kroger that I can easily find at other Krogers - more specialty-type food stuff, but otherwise it has everything most people would need. Its easy to get to and the parking lot is right off the road.
Its a simple grocery store, Ive not had any problems getting my stuff and getting out. Havent had problems with them being out of anything, but if you dont know where to find something, youre screwed, because you will never find someone who works there other than the cashiers.
Went to Kroger at West State use the card I always use for whatever reason their system refuse to take my card wasted my time going in plus they have no ATM in the store its halfway across the parking lot and that ATM never works properly not too happy with Kroger today I would give them zero Stars if it would allow me to and post this
They have good sales. The produce is mediocre. Most of the store brands are reasonably priced. The carts only being at one door is frustrating, but its a small enough store its not a deal breaker.
Awesome store with great produce very appealing atmosphere. Interesting to see it developed into more than just your average grocery store.
Always have great sales going on....Plugs my son works there.... Love KROGER
Despite being a promoter of this place before noon today. I am a detractor now after being fed accusations and attitude by the manager over a charcoal sale.To add to that atmosphere; There are constantly beggars hanging out in the parking lot,the meat department is garbage, packaged chicken parts are often inflated. Eww. The produce is sub par and they dont keep their coffee creamer or milk stocked. I can never get the digital coupons to work at these places (all Krogers) and often times thats the only way to get the sale price.I have had more bad experiences at this State Street Kroger then I can remember to put into words and Im not going to spend that amount of time on this.It is close enough for me to ride my bike to but unfortunately Im afraid of it being stolen from outside so I never do that. Ill need my car to get further away anyway for better service and product.Only once I forget my good senses and rely on this as the closest supermarket to my home will I return.
Their delivery service was the best! Such a rainy day and I got to stay in. Will definitely be doing this again! Thank you, Carolyn, with Kroger! 😊
That store has some serious traffic issues both should have never put that gas station so close with all the rest of the stuff in that plaza. I feel safer on 69 than in that parking lot
This has got to be the most depressing Kroger in the city of Fort Wayne! If you disagree with me, go search down North Clinton, Waynedale, Hadley Road, or any of the others you will see the big difference in the atmosphere, and selection of product. This store needs a major facelift! The biggest thing, is they have got to keep their shelves stocked! I was told that they are trying to focus more on assisting customers, then keeping the shelves stocked. I know what I need, and I dont need to be pestered by employees. I just want to have the product on the Shelf when I need it. Thats the customer service that i need!
Always a good experience. I enjoy this store alot! The staff and management are great!
Easy to find items. And you dont have to walk the length of a football field to shop.
I love this Kroger. It is the location that has the most diversity in people. Whether it is a quick in and out ir a full out shop, I akways have a pleasant experience. The customer service is always great, I quickly find what I need because the store is organized, and they are always incorporating new ideas for better ways to serve the community.
Check out is not as fast. Not enough people to bag your groceries. There has been plenty of times where I have had to bag my own groceries.
Buckle in, this is a long one.I hate shopping at this Kroger. It has nothing to do with the workers. The people that work there are great, the curbside pickup option is wonderful. It has everything to do with the building itself, the amenities, and the outside infrastructure. The building is old and drab, you feel like you are in a fluorescent prison, and there are no windows anywhere, seriously…not one window. There are tiny doors at the front of the building that allow a sliver of light around the groups of people that are fighting their way in or out of the building. There is one small entrance with one automatic door so it forces people with carts coming in and out to battle for who goes first. But seriously, we should be thankful we even get an automated door. Lucky us! It’s worth mentioning there is another tiny entrance that is worse than the main entrance and it doesn’t have any carts near it so again it forces people to continue to use the entrance that funnels us in like cattle to the slaughter. This Kroger building is outdated, miserable, and basically a means to an end. There are no lazy day, end cap interest shopping being done here. Its get in, get out as fast as you can. This west state location has clearly had no meaningful updates in a long time. Now let’s talk about the carts, dear god the carts. First you begin your shopping trip searching for a cart like the worlds saddest treasure hunt and If you are lucky enough to even get your hands on one you have an 85% chance it will squeak and pull on you the entire time. My last trip to the store was 3 days ago where I got the last cart in the entrance and I know why. It sounded like cards were stuck in the spokes of my childhood bicycle. You could hear me coming a mile away while I wrestled with keeping the cart moving straight instead of veering off into the cramped aisles. So instead of abandoning my trip I had to just take a beating from this cart and focus on getting the hell out of this building. At least my arms got a work out.You have your groceries, now its time to leave, thank god! But you get to once again trek through the dangers of the parking lot. Dear god does it need some TLC. It’s a mess, truly. Pot holes, oil spills, trash. gum, you name it that parking lot has a deep pot hole filled with all the litter your heart could dream of. Fill the pot holes in, repaint the lines, and maybe put in a car carousel towards the front of the building to help with the constant lack of carts. Its simple stuff to help update the premises and frankly embarrassing it hasn’t been done. Seriously, a gaggle of girl scouts could do it in an hour. These are the big-ticket items I take issue with. They do what they can with beggars inside the store, and the selection is perfectly fine. They are a busy location and are constantly low on Lactose free milk etc because they supply food to a large audience. This one of the closest food shopping centers near downtown and in the 08 zip code. I chose to live in this area of Fort Wayne because I want to invest in the downtown and surrounding area but its clear Kroger doesnt give a hoot about locations that are not on the clear North or South end of the city. Im not driving 30 minutes out of my way to go to the nice well-built Krogers. I think it’s entirely appropriate to request that Kroger invest in the grocery outlets they already have and show that they care about other zip codes. I’m not one for threats but if you are already driving out of your way to shop at a better location might as well go to Meijer or stick with the curbside pick-up. I’ve started Instacart just to avoid this shopping center. There is zero happiness at this location, even the flowers at the front of the store are wilted.
A grocery store; a clean one at that. The staff is friendly and nice. Not the biggest selections. They have remodeled the store and it is much more modern now.
I may as well be on the payroll! I am there at LEAST twice a day. Regardless everytime they make me feel welcome.😊
Some of the ladies up at the front end arent always pleasant. Sometimes look downright doom and gloom, but the rest of the crew on the floor are very helpful, especially considering the different arrangement of aisles and product from some of the other Kroger in town.
This is the best Kroger in Fort Wayne, Indiana to shop for groceries. Employees are always friendly and knowledgeable of the store. Do 90 percent of my grocery shopping here.
My favorite grocery store in all of fort Wayne. They are so friendly and the layout makes everything easy to find. And you can beat the Kroger app coupons!
If you like quality. This is the place. I gave it a 4 because they dont have anything that I needed.
Anytime I go to kroger everyone is super friendly and helpful. I love this kroger. Thank you for making the stresses of grocery shop enjoyable.
Very clean, and a very friendly staff. Generally stocked and well kept produce. Easy to navigate with a lot of selections.
As a grocery, Kroger (this location formally Scotts) is among the best. However, the pharmacy it contains is simply the worst Ive ever endured. The pharmacy workers are very friendly and kind, but the rules (and occasionally the pharmacist, depending on whos on duty ) seem designed to ruin the experience with missfilled orders, insurance screw-ups and a pace that would exasperate a snail. For your drug needs I highly recommend the Walgreens on West State.
Always love Kroger. The layout and of course the good deals!
Its always Good. Only place i grocery shop.
Upscale kind of place, but they send you tons of coupons and have lots of other discounts...and The BEST Deli fried chicken!
Love Kroger great discounts on ⛽ I always find what I need.
Service is good, but compared to their other locations the selection is very limited. I prefer the Kroger on dupont and coldwater.
Unfortunately i ciuldnt go to kroger on west state street fort wayne until 9:30 pm. Only 1 of the 3 parking lot lights were on making for a very dark entrance. It made me look around alot to be more aware of my surroundings, almost out of fear. The parking lot was plagued with trash. Not impressive . inside the store was ok, i was able to find what i came for. Because of the darkness of the parking lot, i did not shop long and i just wanted to get out of there and get home. The staff was helpful and kind, but i wouldnt have minded an escort out just to be safe. Please kroger, turn all your parking lot lights on at night, thats what they are there for!
Its okay but I feel they are lacking in so many ways when other Krogers offer so much more. The store feels dirty and the parking lot is ALWAYS a MESS, i mean come on clean it up!
The checkout was very quickly. Very nice people.
No stars. Kroger on West State Ft Wayne Indiana is the worst!! Well besides the Waynedale store and Southgate plaza. I just cant believe how unprofessional the people who work in these stores are. If they dont want to work there they should find another job instead of being rude and unhelpful. Completely ridiculous!!!
While I love the sales, the store is dirty and always see cops around do to the wonderful pill exchange in the parking lot.
Do I love Kroger? Youre damn right I do. I sleep out back.
The store is generally clean and the staff are friendly; however, the produce is always subpar and over sprayed. The organic section is never fresh, and constantly dwindling in variety. If you dont want fresh fruit and veg this is the store for you.
Great location its a very large store tons of sales it has a huge parking lot with lots of handicap parking spaces and it is wheelchair accessible usually a friendly staff and quite helpful.
Great atmosphere, I shop here all the time. Great prices when they have specials discounts.
Used to be on the buy one get one if you only bought one it was half the price advertised. Not anymore there policy changed. Walmart now
I love Krogers. Its close to home & I always get the best deals :-)
Always friendly, very helpful, if you want something and they are out of stock they will let you know when its back in.
Im glad to see them closely bye within five minutes from my house
Check expiration dates! Bought frozen food that has been long expired. Also, people have been shot at this location because its ghetto af.
I enjoy the manager specials the bulk nuts and fresh produce always pleasure with a cashier
