My wife and I stopped in at St Vincents thrift on Calhoun this afternoon for the first time. Heading southbound calhoun, its the first right after the viaduct. At the entrance there was a sign clearly marked that masks must be worn. There was a huge variety of items. There were more on the second floor. They had furniture as well as beds etc on the far end of the first floor. The prices were not bad for my opinion. I saw a nice wooden chair the furniture area that was stuffed and would have looked nice in my living room for $35.There was a huge section of clothing. Actually decent looking wall decor and Knick knacks. There was a nice small section of religious items including a very nice picture of Jesus I saw for only $5 in a frame. Lots of Knick knacks. There was a huge selection of books on the second floor. Lots of glassware, dishes, seasonal items, a huge section of Christmas items including Christmas trees that were artificial.I did see one woman without a mask who was standing at the register. I even managed to get a photo of her. I blurred her face in the photo. They must not enforce their mask rule.Personally I was impressed with the books which were very very cheap. There was a sign posted hardbacks for $1, softbacks 75 cents, magazines 25 cents, unless otherwise priced. I bought a huge coffee table book that would have sold for $45 when it was new for just a buck. I was very happy with my purchase when I left.We didnt find the store workers very polite or hospitable, which is fine I wasnt there to socialize. Also the parking wasnt great. But Im sure we will go back. It had enough variety to make it interesting. I dont know how often they get new items in but there was definitely a lot to look at.

You will nor be disappointed coming here. They actually make dresser($75) and bed($125) frames with drawers built in. They make these on site.

I have been shopping this store for the past 50 years. I have seen it go through many managers and many Renovations of style and stock. But right now, this is the best thrift shop in Fort Wayne, in my estimation. They do good works with the money, and although their prices have gone up considerably, they have a good Senior Day sale on Tuesday 20% off, and it that helps. It is clean, well-organized, and the merchandise is in good condition. Always so much fun to go see whats new!

This store is the best SVDP Ive been to. Its two stories tall and has a little bit of everything. Today (4/17/17) there were quite a few golf bags, golf clubs, bike helmets, Tupperware, suitcases, dishes, glassware, and lots of clothing. Upstairs they have enough books to fill a small-town library! There is also a large room with furniture. Prices varied, some seemed reasonable and some seemed a little high. We definitely will return!

Okay, first of all, this place is supposed to HELP those in need- the prices *ARE TOO HIGH*. There is NO EXCUSE. Second of all, the workers act like they are doing you a favor... and third of all....9-5??? REALLY? Because everyone that WORKS NORMAL HOURS can just slide in and shop?.... Talk about bankers hours. Oh, and yes, they get some good stuff in (better off going to Craigslist- youll pay *LESS*), but you WILL pay for it!! Ive found some stuff here, went home, checked eBay, AND PAID LESS. SHAME ON YOU

I have shopped here for many years, probably 30+. Through several management changes. Through some friendly clerks and some unfriendly clerks. As far as people complaining that things are overpriced, I have never thought that things were overpriced in relation to the Good Will or Salvation Army. They are almost always cheaper than those two places. All three places are dedicated to helping those less fortunate than others and they all do a good job of helping the needy, I think.St. Vincents doesnt get the publicity that Salvation Army and Good Will get. Good Will seems to be a big business, I never thought that about SVD. I hope they stay around forever.

I stop here on a regular basis. Store is nice and clean but prices are to high. Also they put to much merchandise behind the desk and in locked cases. To much of a hassle to get someone to show you items. Not a good retail practice.

This used to be my favorite thrift store now it is a joke. They have over priced everything and placed items behind a counter so you cannot even browse. All items are now cherry picked and over priced. I used to recommend and donate to this store. Now I wont even shop here.

First of all, Id just like to say that this thrift store is one of the larger ones Ive been to, and has a wide selection of just about everything. Yesterday, though, my wife and I were in search of specific items, in this case accent furniture (end tables, coffee tables, etc.) for our new home. SVD has lots of items in its furniture section and it took my wife over a half an hour to look over everything, but the only thing we left with was sticker shock. Everything we has some interest in, the price was at least three times higher than we were willing to spend. And everything also needed some TLC in my workshop as nothing was in great condition. Over the years Ive been to countless secondhand stores, flea markets, estate and garage sales looking for items similar to yesterday, and was surprised by the high prices at a thrift store. Granted, it is charitable organization raising funds, but apparently its not interested in selling furniture. There were over 2 dozen people at the store when we were there, yet my wife and I were the only ones looking at the furniture. I guess thats a sign.
