They do all the repairs on my car theyre honest friendly and the place is always clean

Worst place ever to go for repairs and buying a car. The owner was extremely rude to me and acted like I was a bother. When I asked him politely if he was having a bad day and that’s why he was being so rude, the dude snapped. Started cussing me out. I then I’m turn said real “bleeping” professional and walked out. Reported it to BBB but somehow he got that removed. He called me a day after the BBB review, apologized and offered me a free oil change. Like I would take my car there now after the way he talked to me. That’s a disaster waiting to happen. How this guy remains in business is beyond me. Something tells me he sells more than cars and oil changes…..

I have been going to Engle Road Auto for years. Dave the owner is always straight forward and honest. I have bought several cars from him and have had several vehicles serviced numerous times by Engle Road Auto. They always do a great job and at a fair price. I have recommended and will continue to recommend.

I have dealt with Dave and his crew many times through out the years. He has always treated me well and had excellent customer service. My family and friends have purchased several vehicles from Engle auto for the past 10 years. We have also had service done on our vehicles at Engle Auto. When having work done their prices have always been very reasonable. Ive had quotes from other shops around town and Engle auto has always come in lower. I highly recommend this place.

Owner has a extremely bad additude and i would not ever recommend nor use them for any auto service or auto purchase. First impression is everything in business and when some buffoon comes across as a a. Hole time to go elsewhere

Very disappointed! I saved up for months for a car and when I received it it had major undisclosed issues even though I asked several times. The transmission was shot the first time I drove it, wouldn’t even shift past second gear and slipped horribly and the suspension was clunking. Come to find out it needs three ball joints which makes it unsafe to drive. Dave told me all I’d have to do is “put gas in it and wax it. Also, there were some cosmetic issues they didn’t disclose. Sure they sent pictures but not of these issues. If they pay for the repairs and honor the warranty I’ll update this post. They owe me $3000 and that’s only for a used transmission.

They replaced the rack and pinion in my daughters 2008 Chevrolet Impala for about $400.00, including parts, labor and the alignment. When I drove the car I noticed it required a bit of over-steer to correct when changing lanes. We took it back and they realigned it for free and since then the car has driven just fine.

We have bought 3 vehicles from Dave and all of them run like a top! Go see Dave for a great running, affordable vehicle! He never lets us down!!!!!

Bought a boat from this business. It has been 3 and a half months and still dont have a title. We have reported them to the attorney general. By Indiana law they must refund our money. But they have refused. They are not a boat dealer and can not sell or transfer titles or collect sales tax. Be aware of who you are dealing with.

Engle road auto is the worst place to buy a car! Dont be fooled by their rating! The truth are they are rude and completely took advantage of a single mother with 3 kids! They sold her a car that had someone elses name on it, so she could not get it plated she had no proof the car was hers! Instead of taking care of the problem they became rude and belligerent! The car was not even safe to drive off the lot! After having a mechanic look at it and seen there was over $4,000 dollars worth of repairs they took it said they looked at it and nothing was wrong! So she took it to 2 more mechanics who said the same the car was not safe to drive! The fat man was so rude we almost had to call the cops on him for his threatening behavior! I have never seen such plain disregarding behavior in all my years! If you are a woman watch out they will take advantage of you! I would rate them -10 stars if I could!!!

Moved to Indiana from New York and was worried about where to take my new car for service. After trying Walmart and having horrible results and being overcharged I decided to stop in at Engle Road Auto. The owner was very nice and accommodating, I got my car serviced quickly and all for a good price. I have found a new go to place for my car.

Used to get my vehicles serviced here for years, then they broke my oil dipstick and failed to tell me about it. They did not insert it all the way back in after my oil change and it snapped. Very unprofessional

In May I was in search for a second car for our family. I knew what make/model I wanted but, couldnt find it in my price range. Dave was able to locate the car I wanted and for the price I wanted. He gave us a good deal and even sweetened the deal w/ a warranty. We specifically asked what shape the brakes were in and he said they still had 70% life left in them. Asked him if he had the title (since we were buying the car outright) and he said no but, he would mail it when he got it. He gave me a 45 day temp tag to use. In the past when Ive bought cars the title takes no more than 30 days. Thirty days came & went no title, called Dave he says Ill have the title in a week. No biggie. One week later still no title & my temp tag is almost expired. Called Dave again & he gives us the runaround about the title. After almost 2 months we finally get the title. One month after I bought the car I needed work done. I hit a curb popped two tires (my fault) called Dave to fix the car & his response Its not my fault you did this (I never said it was) Towed the vehicle to his shop he fixes it but, gives me an attitude about fixing it. While I was waiting inside for his guys to finish up Dave takes a phone call from a customer & every other word is F this & F that. Not very professional. Fast forward to the present I heard some loud noises coming from the car when braking. The noises were so loud that I was embarrassed to drive the car. After my unpleasant experiences w/ him in the past I was nervous to take my car to him so I had another mechanic shop look at my brakes. My brake pads literally fell off in the mechanics hand. Mind you 3 months ago when I bought the car I was told the brakes were at 70%. I had only been driving the car 3 months it wasnt our primary vehicle so how do brakes go from 70% to practically nothing in 3 months time? My theory is that the brakes were low at that time & he just said 70% to get us to buy the car. Since my brake pads were so bad it damaged the rotors. The front, rear, and emergency brake pads had to be replaced as there was less than 10% left on them not to mention my rotors had to be replaced. My mechanic thinks they were the original brake pads. My car is a 2011 with 85k miles on it. The brake pads should have been replaced long ago. Its a miracle nothing happened to me while I was driving the car. My mechanic also noticed that my car is now out of alignment. My advice stay far far far away from this place. While this guy may have great deals on his cars hes customer service skills leave much to be desired. I wont be going back to him anytime soon.

Absolutely HORRIBLE! I’ve had the worst experience with them! I bought a 2009 gmc and the check engine light was on so it took it to a machanic and there was over $4000 of problems! So I took it to them and they said there’s nothing wrong and it drives fine! They’re rude and plain idiots! They wouldn’t even give me a print out on what was wrong! So pissed!

I had my car towed to this place to have a starter replaced. First of all, they didnt even look at my car for 2 days., then when they finally looked at my car, they said that they couldnt get the bolt off the starter. It should take 4 hours max to put a starter on any car. The guy i talked to on the phone was rude and not very polite. 2 days went by and they said they same thing, couldnt get the bolt off starter. Friday morning i called and told them i was going to have my car picked up. Jones Auto picked my car up and it was ready in 4 hours. They said they had no problem getting the bolt off the starter. I dont think they ever looked at the starter. Why waste 4 days of my time? I would not recommend this place to anyone, because if they didnt want to do the work on my car because it was too old for by their standards, they shouldve said they didnt want to do the job. Bad customer service. I will not recommend this place.

Ms. Gase you purchased a 2009 GMC Acadia on February 24th 2018 via a craigslist ad. The vehicle had 176,096 miles on it when you purchased it. You signed a vehicle order form saying you purchased it as is. The check engine light was on at the time of you buying the vehicle. We asked you to take it to a mechanic of your choosing at that time you chose not to. We did not hear anything from you until the 15th of March after you had taken it to a shop to check it out. You put approximately 1,000 miles on it in that time. You drove it from Berne, IN to Fort Wayne, IN which is about 35 miles each way for us to look at on the 16th. We let you know that we would get back with you today (19th March). In light of your review I dont believe that we can resolve thisPretty sure everything you just said is a lie. I bought the car and my check engine light was on yes... I asked why and the seller straight lied to me about the issue I have everything in recording you plain as day said because I gave you a bad review (well deserved) that you would not help me with the car. There’s no way I put 1000 miles on that’s a crock of lies. I can’t even drive the car! I took it to the machanic and gave you proof of what they said was wrong (have proof that I sent that to you) and you said “it drives fine” I have that on recording too! You guys got mad because I told you the issues the car had then when we asked for proof of what YOUR machanic said because you said there’s nothing wrong with it when that’s a LIE! You guys refused.. hmm?? But I mean it’s okay because I have a pretty good case against you and already talked with a lawyer.

Dave, the owner, is a little rough around the edges but he runs a fair and honest shop and he tells it like it is. Been going there for basic maintenance to complicated repairs. Only mechanic I trust around.
