Okay, for this particular Midas, I am happy to give everyone there a 5 star rating. The mechanics were very thorough. Fixing my front brakes takes time. And they are now in perfect shape. I will gladly return for other maintenances on my HHR. ππ
Manager is great owner is great. They are upfront with you about price. I will even let my wife go there. Treat you like family and they back there word
I hate 90% of mechanics. These guys are opposite to the majority, they are reliable and trustworthy. They keep their word, they honor a given quote. I appreciate their expertise and work ethic. Reggie the store manager has been a joy to work with over the past year. Mike the owner has a few locations and has really maintained a good reputation with me. Ive had issues with a few things assumed to be related, called Mike and he said if its something we did, we will take care of it. To me thats honorable. You cant expect perfection from anyone but you can appreciate effort. These guys go the extra mile to maintain customer relationships. Thanks guys! I appreciate you helping me with my daughters car! In this case particularly, your commitment to excellence shined through like the morning sun!19/8/6 Back again! Came in for a small noise from the rear end, o2 sensor and oil change. They ended up finding my rusted out and broken exhaust hangers were allowing the exhaust to hit the rear end causing the noise. They saved me time and money by repairing one hanger and replacing the other 2. Thankfully they did this, the quick repair saved my flex pipe that connects the engine side of the exhaust to the mid pipe under the car that runs to the rear of the vehicle. Had they missed this repair, it would have damage all of my exhaust system. Could have cost me a thousand dollars! Exhaust can be pricey especially while traveling. Thanks guys! Im finally giving up most of the maintenance on the bottom side of my vehicle, arthritis is getting the best of me. I could not do it without having a reliable shop I can trust. Mike is a dependable owner and maintains the same standard at his Fort Wayne locations. Ive used coliseum and Coldwater. I prefer Coldwater from my experiences.
Ive taken two of my vehicles there for a variety of services and have been very satisfied by the quality of the work. Everything has been reasonably priced and when I couldnt get my hood to close, Reggie even fixed it for free. It took them no time at all but was a major hassle for me. Excellent service and always done well!
Pretty much every employee is smoking, store has bad smoking smell.
Exceptional service the guys there explain everything on what the job will be throughly and accurately. They take the time out to make sure that you are out the door riding right and follow through with their commitment to service!!!!
Smooth service didnt take long
Its a clean mall with a lot of variety and an awesome food court!
Absolute clowns. car came back smelling like cigarette smoke even though I was assured they dont smoke in the shop ;)Was the smoke wafting through the shop to lobby door a hallucination too? I think not. extremely unprofessional. Also almost 500$ for a spark plug replacement (which was rightly refused)Jiffy Lube will do it for 200Tom Kelley Buick for 239I wonder where they got that big ol number from? When considering some of these other negative reviews as well I can confidently tell you to do yourself and your car a favor and avoid this location.
I had an oil change and diagnostic test done which was fine. The diagnostic test was due to my hazard lights coming on by themselves randomly often. Midas informed me to go purchase the hazard switch, but to repair it would take them 3 hours and cost over $200. I purchase the part went to another mechanic they replaced the switch in 15mns and charge less then $30..So they LIED about the repair cost..PLEASE always get a second opinion when u need work done. π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ
Great service! Tires on in less than 2 hours.
I went to get my oxygen sensors replaced and when i left one of my wheels came loose and found out it was broke and they said they couldnβt do anything about and called the cops on us. Donβt come over here
Donβt use them. You have take picture of your car before you take your car before you take it to midas. Top to bottom
Great freindly service. Very expensive and not entirely trustworthy. Had an O2 sensor changed they, changed the wrong one and still charged me.
Made appointment for oil change. Showed up, checked in, waited 45 minutes and vehicle never even got into bay. Left frustrated, without service. Went to competition next day for fast, friendly service in under an hour.
Great service and honest reasonably charged repairs.
The Midas on a Clinton or coldwater whatever road you consider that, I have more respect for because they actually seem straightforward and prompt with when they bring your vehicle in to take care of whatever youre asking them to do.
They stood around talking after pulled my car in for 15 minutes while I waited on a oil change
Slow, but very helpful
Great just as usual!
I work here, come see us for the best deals in car repair ...
I used to go elsewhere in town before they jacked prices of an oil change up, at which point I gave this Midas a try. That was over 3 years ago and Ive been taking my van there since. From having some of the lower prices in town, to there accommodating scheduling, to the fact they call me out to see the issue before having to make a decision these guys are great. Will continue to rely on this Midas for my future vehicle maintenance needs.
The guys at Midas did a great job! They were fast and went the extra mile to make sure everything was done right.
Best honest reasonable priced shop in town! Totally honest helpful reliable. I never go anywhere else
Customer service oriented and very thorough when completing work customer wants.
If you go to this Midas they will treat you right. Do not go to the one off of Jefferson Blvd you will get ripped off!!
Very good value and service, not your typical greasy shop. Very professional services, in a timely manner. Look 4 coupons, its a great deal.
Great customer service! Service members were very courteous, and knowledgeable when recommending and explaining what my vehicle needed to assure its best performance.
It was horrible, I went there to get new break pads and an oil change. They messed up my oil container and my car was leaking oil and lost all the oil after 2 days and the new break pads didnt work at all, they felt exactly like my old ones. Then since my car ran out of oil it almost ruined my transmission and now I have over $1000 I need to fix on the car.
Thorough and very informative. Friendly staff.
I shared it a negative post about Midas I put it on the wrong store I accidentally put Coliseum Midas store wrong store I apologize to Midas on Coliseum my mistake its the one on Jefferson bad service and over price would not service my car until I pay them everyone else that was in there then have to pay until they got a key or they car wow really yes they want to charge me over a hundred plus dollars to change my light bulb for my brakes I went to the store and got one for less than $10 and put it in myself was $9 and some change Maybe $0.98 big rip-off and again I apologize to Midas on Coliseum I am so sorry forgive me LOL and I am giving the one on Illinois and -1 *
I had an amazing experience here. I came in for my exhaust and they fixed it right away. Got my truck in the air within 10 minutes of being here. Also told me another issue with my truck I didnt know about. And the price wasnt bad at all. Friendly staff and clean shop.
I made an appointment for an ac inspection and they got me in quickly! When I arrived, they took my car back within minutes! After an assessment was done, I gave the go-ahead to do the work and within an hour it was done. I could tell the employees take great care of not only the car but the customer as well. Just the fact that the shop worker came out to talk to me and addressed me by name was huge. Not many businesss do that anymore. After everything was said and done, I was told that if anything changes anytime soon, then to come back and theyd figure out the issue and not add any extras! Between the work satisfaction and the customer friendly employees, theyll be getting my business from now on.
I went to this location several months ago because I had a bad transmission leak. I needed a new fitting to stop the leak. Started out at $110 but then they told me another hour because they needed to drop the driveshaft and crossmember for more working space. Now $220 for a new fitting and some fluid. Seemed ok for the amount of work.I went to another mechanic for some tune up work to be told that the driveshaft or crossmember havent been messed with by looking at the bolts. I feel like Ive been taken advantage of. With all that said; I still have a fitting leaking transmission fluid that was never worked on but overlooked because of a worse leak.
Every time I come here I am given nothing but excuses. Never real solutions. They seem to always jack up my bill. They never take responsibility for their actions. They charge top rate money for second rate service. I would not recommend this place.
So I thought it was a brake issue, they got me in did a diagnosis informed me it was the trans. Above and beyond service here, they called the dealer and got me in stat. A level of kindness and professionalism rarely expierenced anymore. Thanks guys. Robert
I was there on a Saturday morning, around 11 am, and out of all the employees and other customers walking in, about 14 people total, I was the ONLY one wearing a mask. The employees could at least wear one when they help customers at the counter.
Thank you Brian for all your help, you did a great job helping me. I would recommend this Midas in a heart beat, but talk to Brian, he is a great guy and dont give up trouble shooting. Again thank you:)
They was VERY VERY helpfulThey fixed the problem and we were on our way Reggie Smith is a VERY good managerAnd a people personI would highly recommend themThanks Midas @ Glenbrook
Slowest Midas Ive ever seen. I was there 1st appointment right when they open and was there a few minutes early. The guys literally take my keys and then go on a 10-15 minute smoke break as Im sitting there and can see them. Takes them another 10-15 minutes of standing around before they go get my truck to to pull in. After 45-50 minutes I go out to the garage and stand there. The tech is just texting on his phone smoking another cigarette. Hed already been finished looking at the truck but hadnt bothered to simply tell me they were done. Courtesy check took over an hour.
First rate service!
Very expensive, but good!!!
Nice people, fair prices, very convenient
I have always had a great experience with the staff at Midas...This time was no different.
Not quite run the way as advertised, but Ive been to worse shops. I went in for an oil change, they didnt reset my oil change needed message and had my check engine light come on after I left for a cylinder misfire...
Great service, Brian was very helpful as to provide me what i needed and not what i didnt. David was just as great providing very quick service. Oil change in less than 20 minutes!
Great place to get basic service done for reasonable prices, especially if you find a promotion or coupon.
If it was possible I would give them zero stars. I took my car there because it kept over accelerating in one spot, I told them I think its the transmission. They said my car just needed a tune up so I paid 600 some odd dollars for that. Pulled off car started doing the same thing. Brought it back said it needed a new computer state paid 200 something for that and it didnt work. Finally told me my transmission was slipping which I said from the start and told me I had to pay 2500 for a transmission plus labor on top of the 800 I already paid.
I like this place. Some times I feel that the cost May be a little high. Might be for my Nissan car
Fixed me up without delay.
Got me in right away and I received great customer service
Was in Ft Wayne for the week visiting familyWhen out of nowhere by brakes locked up this past Saturday morning.I found a Midas near by and decided to try to make it there and have them look into the problem. They found out that my rear caliper was missing a bolt which caused the caliper to fail and lock up my brakes. They put in a new caliper and put everything back together. Reginald the store manager took the car out for a test drive and noticed it was making noise and brought it back into the garage. He took a screwdriver and hit the dust shield a few times thinking that was the problem but to no avail the problem persisted. After asking Reginald (Store Manager) why the brakes were still making βgrindingβ noises he said to just drive it and that the noise would gradually go away and if the problem persisted i could go to another Midas and have them check it out since itβs under warranty. I ended up driving all the way back to St Louis with that βgrindingβ noise and instead of it getting better and going away it actually got worse. So after making it to St Louis I decided to take it to my local Midas and they immediately figured out the problem. It turns out that the tech ( Eric) at the Fort Wayne Midas put the brake pads in backwards after installing the new caliper. the noise i was hearing the whole time was metal to metal friction. My pads and rotors were completely shot due to them putting in the pads backwards. Not only did the Tech (Eric)screw up big time but Reginald the manager didnβt notice the issue after double checking the work the tech had done. Bottom line their place is a joke and I could of been in a serious wreck due to their negligence.to make things worse when the St Louis Midas contacted the Fort Wayne store to get the an explanation as to what happened Reginald (the manager) told them that I couldβve been the one that swapped the pads backwards on my way back. Words canβt describe how upset I am about this whole situation. The reason I decided to write this review is to keep others from having to go through the same mess I had to go through. I hope these two incompetent clowns (Eric & Reginald) get fired because they shouldnβt be allowed anywhere near an automobile.
Customer service was friendly and they honored their 24.99 online oil change price BUT shorted me a whole quart of oil!!! I guess they didnt think the naive pregnant lady would notice but I have friends who look out for me. I will be going somewhere else for my next oil change!
Good customer service..
Always get work done there and like services
The prices are to high.
They always do such amazing work and they gave great customer service! Only place I take my cars.
Stay Away!I use to go to Midas, in particular this branch, often. I got a newish car (50k miles) and I took it in for an oil change and brake job (replacing the pads). To my surprise, my car had over $1000 in needed repairs ranging from ball joints to welding of the underbody. I declined the repair and took it to two different repair shops, and I asked them to inspect the car. They found nothing wrong with anything other than an improper brake job was done and needed to be fixed.
Helpful
I have taken all of my cars to Midas for more than 10 years. That ends today. Upon arriving for my scheduled appointment to 3910 Coldwater Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46805, the representative advised me that Midas is required to put synthetic oil in my 2010 Toyota Corolla LE. Mind you, we have taken this specific vehicle to this specific Midas since we purchased it in November of 2014, and Midas has ALWAYS put conventional oil in the vehicle without any incident or notice otherwise until today. The manager refused to do the oil change wit the conventional oil, indicating that this year, make, and model REQUIRES synthetic oil. I asked him to pull my receipt history, which verifies that I have ALWAYS had conventional oil put in at this very same Midas. The manager then, VERY RUDELY, advised that, Well its not my problem when your engine blows because synthetic oil is REQUIRED. I immediately contacted Toyota in Fort Wayne, IN and spoke with the Service Manager, whom I used to work with. He advised that in no way, shape, or form, would a 2010 Toyota Corolla require synthetic oil and that Midas was very clearly attempting to rip us off by using scare-tactics to trick us into a purchase that is almost triple what we have ever paid. This is unacceptable. My business ends with you today.
Put the wrong oil filter on my car
They have been great to work with...Will return
The best service at the most reasonable price!
They have no respect for veterans and only worry about the money. customers are not important to them unless they spend money.
They know what they are doing
I went to Midas mainly because they have late evening and weekend hours. I had gone there out of desperation before and I was reluctant to go back because on previous occasions I felt like I had been overcharged. This time I went there because my car engine was leaking coolant at a pretty alarming rate. I dropped it off and they called me an hour or so later to tell me that the hoses were leaking and that it would cost 200 dollars to fix. I felt relieved because in the past I did not make it out of there for under 500 dollars. The next day after driving it for less than a day my low coolant light came on again. I returned to Midas and after they had my car for about 7 hours they called and said the problem is a leaking gasket seal on the timing case. The parts and labor would be over 500 dollars to fix. I asked if they would give me my 200 dollars back from the work they did on the hoses and they insisted that several of the hoses I had were leaking and did need to be replaced. Now I am no mechanic but before I ever took my car to the shop I and during one of the many times I added coolant to the engine I inspected the engine and hoses for leaks and never could find any with or without the engine running. When they showed me where the coolant was now leaking from near the side and bottom of the engine I insisted that is where I thought the leak was because that was where I noticed coolant pooling when my car was stopped. So I took my car to my regular trusted mechanic who quoted me about 300 dollars to do the same work Midas wanted to charge me over 500 for. When relating this story to a friend they told me that Midas employees/ managers work under a commission and that explains why they try to maximize profits with extraneous repairs. I also heard Midas technicians use a type of flow chart for diagnosing and correcting problems. Like they probably looked at my car and saw leaking coolant then looked at the flow chart replace hoses if that doesnt work replace gaskets and so on untill the problem is fixed or the customer is broke. I dont know if it is true or not but this coincides with my experience everytime I have entrusted my vehicle to their care. Please save yourself some time and money and go to a real mechanic first.
Charging for labor NOT done SCAMED US!!
Manager reggie is a great salesmen, and mecanic. Honestly, The best ive ever seen. Maybe could be A lil better with employees. Great shop overall. Reggie is the man
Had tail lights & break lights replaced for a reasonable price.... less than 20 dollars .Midas is the place to go
Great service and great technicians.
I called ahead of time to make sure they would except my service and showed up at 5:25 to hear that they shut off their tools 40 minutes early. They need to change their hours if thats the case
Everything is smooth

Excellent service but expensive. People are more amicable and suggesting the right services but I found like it is expensive.
Charged me for doing nothing brought in our own New belt and said it was the wrong one and we told them by a different one .lies snake eating its own tail I know nothing.
Professional friendly service
They do good work
Theyre nice enough, but an hour and a half for a oil change appointment is way too long.
The tires are way over priced
Rip off con-men
Life saver save me a ton
Worst customer service ever. Liars. Crooks. Once they have your signature youβre effed.
Hard workers here. Exceeded my expectations.
Took my car in to get oil change and tire rotation. not only did it come out with flat tires shortly after all my lug nuts were loose and one broke a lug bolt off. Not going back ever.
Great Service
It was okay π
Fast service
They are too much costly I asked estimation for replacing Honda Civic timing belt .They gave a estimation of $500 but In Honda service center gave it for $290.And their customer service was too bad
