I went in for an oil change and rotate tires which I had bought from them this summer, 3000 miles ago. He said I need a wheel alignment. The test he showed me had all zeros, that nothing registered when they did the test. I told them they did a wheel alignment when they put on the tires and it was perfect. What happened in 3k miles? He went back and said the test was done incorrectly. Doesnt exactly instill faith in their ability to do their jobs if they cant do an alignment test. Then he told me I need to replace the plugs, 400 plus and flush a bunch of fluids to the tune of an additional 800. I looked in my manual and that did not need to be done at that point. That he gave me wrong info.... I will not be going back. I need to trust my mechanic. I was talking to the manager so that says this store is less than trust worthy.

By far the best service Ive received on my car. Maybe cause Im used to going to Walmart 🤷‍♀️ but Nathan was very informative and didnt make me feel pressured to add on services and rather just informed me what would be best for my car and gave me estimates for each thing. + bonus points for the good conversations. Deinitely going here from now on

Well 500.00 for break pads, they said I needed a fluid flush another 80.00 and a slue of other items for a total of 1500.00 . I said wow thats insane since most of that work was done the week before at my local Chevy dealer . So I went back to my dealer and found none of this was true the squeak in my brakes was little piece of metal that got stuck in the brakes. Oh and by the way my dealer only charged me 199.00 for breaks and rotors and 39.00 oil change 79 for trans flush and 55 for alignment

Ive taken our car here since we moved here and they are the most honest auto service place Ive ever been to. Four times Ive been in there and each time its you take good care of your car keep it up and dont do this because you dont need it, ect. They are fast and just nice. I would go here first for most things for the customer service alone

Went here because I had a coupon for a transmisson flush. Car is an 07, Ive never gotten one on it. It needed fluid, figured it couldnt hurt.Got to the counter and was asked why I needed a flush. Then told to go elsewhere. Clearly somebody didnt feel like working today. I work in retail. Customer comes in looking for something or a service I dont go why?

Staff is always friendly and willing to help with any concerns. I took my car here after I was experiencing several problems, another Auto place quoted my repairs at $1200 while Tuffys repaired my car for more than half of the previous estimate. My car is in great shape because of them!

Highly Recommended. Been a customer for a year and can say their service is excellent. They are very informative on any issues with your car, but doesnt have that strict enforcement-attitude that many other mechanics in the area have, unless the issue is very severe.Id recommend calling in and scheduling an appointment as it is easier for them work with and gets you out of there in a convenient time.

Clear and concise explanation of issues, they finished the work ahead of schedule, all techs have extensive history of working on specialty vehicles so I had 0 trust issues with their technical experience. Their prices were also better than most.Overall a great service, they earned my respect and ALL future tire/suspension related service of my vehicles.

Great place to have your car serviced. They work hard to make sure you are satisfied. If youre getting more extensive work done, they have a shuttle service which is a huge draw for many like me who live alone.Its a great location, too. Drop off your car for an oil change and walk to the nearby IHOP for a bite to eat.Highly recommended.

I have been here several times and never had a problem until now. The guy at the counter Nathan was very unprofessional. First, he said, “we get rid of people who only come in for a $20 oil change and don’t get additional work.” I told him I am only getting an oil change and have gotten additional services before but that what he said was very unprofessional and could not believe he said this. There were 2 other people here at the time of his comment and could hear this. I told him if this is an issue not getting additional services and only an oil change, I will not be back. Another worker who has always been professional and nice, then heard the end of it so I repeated everything to the other guy and pointed out how unprofessional Nathan was. He made a comment to Nathan and then asked if we were waiting or leaving. While in the waiting room the rude worker, grabbed some apple sausage from a box and asked if we liked this, I said no because we do not eat pork. He asked if it were for a religious reason. I said no. He asked then why not? I proceeded to tell him why and then he became argumentative as to my reasoning why WE do not. He started to laugh. I told him he is once again very unprofessional and we will not be back. I said that I would like to speak to the manager and he told me then, sorry if I offended you. His so-called apology was not sincere. I truly hope the manager or owner gives Nathan some training as his behavior, comments was rude, humiliating, embarrassing and he had no shame whatsoever. Terrible customer service by him. He should be out of the public eye!

The management at this location is excellent. My family and I were in town for the weekend and had repairs done to two of my vehicles at this Tuffy location. One of my issues could have been disastrous, but these guys found the problem and got it taken care of. Everyone is competent and gives great attention to detail. This is definitely a trustworthy shop & the customer service is superb! I highly recommend this Tuffy to anyone looking for quality service and a job done right!

BEWARE: Read my comment and similar comments seriously! NATHAN tried to replace over $700 worth of parts that did not need replaced! Full story: After my car was towed to Tuffy on Coldwater Rd for a minor repair Nathan recommended replacing 3 parts of the car which summed to over $700. I was suspicious of Nathan so called for another tow to another mechanic. Other than the minor repair which cost me only $90, the other mechanic said NOTHING ELSE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED!

I have had several services done with Tuffy Auto Center on Coldwater Rd in Fort Wayne, IN. I have been very happy with the customer service from the employees. They are very good at quoting prices and letting me know what services are coming up to maintain my vehicle. Their prices are very comparable to other service centers in town. They are efficient in getting the work done quickly and getting my vehicle back to me so theres no interruption in my family and work life.

Took an Envoy in to have it assessed, the gentleman at the counter seemed like he really didnt want to... Advised me I own a lemon. Got it tuned and the oil changed elsewhere... still running strong 8mo later, back and forth between Fort Wayne and Sterling Heights, MI regularly.

They have been very helpful in fixing up my car and keeping it in running order.I have had trouble finding places that will understand that I am a poor college student and need to prioritize the way I fix up my car in order from: I need to fix it right away or my car will break down to I need to fix it soon because it will help other things run smoothly. Here they help me out by explaining what needs to be done and why. Its great.

Went in for a front end alignment and found out I needed an outer tie rod replaced first. They got me in the next day and I didnt have to pay an arm and a leg to get it done. Very friendly staff. Will definitely return. Make an appointment with them itll save you a lot of wait time.

A Quality, Educational, and Affordable Experience!About a month and a half ago I got the oil changed in my car at a competitors shop where they told me I needed to do some very expensive repairs. Not satisfied with this hasty recommendation, I took my car to Tuffy on Coldwater they told me I only needed to do a few of those repairs. The mechanics showed me exactly what was happening to my car. They showed me what needed repaired, where the problems were occurring, and how much it would cost to do each repair. The mechanics at Tuffy made it a point to help my wife and I - who know very little about cars - better understand some of the mechanical aspects of our vehicle.

Wasnt upfront on the pricing. To get the $35.99 price, you cant use a coupon. If you use a coupon then you are charged $50 for the oil change and given $10 off. Will be doing business elsewhere because of hidden pricing.

Never had any work done by these folks, saw that they had good reviews, thought I would give them a try. I had them replace a burned out headlight. They also checked my other lights as well. They sit down with you and explain what needs to be fixed and the cost. They take the time for questions, etc. Very nice staff! Got the job done quickly and done right! Thanks! Came in to get the tires realigned after hitting a curb. They did a thorough inspection to make sure nothing was bent, then did the alignment. $75 for the alignment, $18 to rotate the tires, and also $25 to fix a tire with a screw in it.

These guys are great.. They are the best with a call ahead to check on the wait time but regardless Ive never waited more than 20 minutes for a oil change.. Great guys and great staff

This was my first visit to the shop. I was very pleased with the service provided and the expertise of the mechanic that worked on my car. He was very knowledgeable and was able to fix my car with any issues. The price was also right!

Rude employees and horrible customer service. Stood there for 10 minutes waiting for anyone to come out and acknowledge that I was even there. Finally someone comes out, rolls his eyes, opens a door and calls for Bill. Bill comes out texting on his, grumpily asks what I need. I asked if they had time for oil change. He says no and turns around and walks to the back. If you don’t want customer turn off your open light. Of course the level of customer service they provide will result in the same thing.

I was told I could have the shop guys leave my car outside for after hours pick up so i asked them to do so. Whoever I was talking to said “no problem.” 1145pm 12MAR2020 3hrs before I have to wake up to head a hr away for first formation I get a Uber to Tuffy where my car is at and my car never got taken out of the shop....

Best service ever in the Fort for car repairs. I met with the owner on Dupont who realized I lived closer to their new location near the mall. He called that location and made me an appointment right away. He was so friendly and helpful. The day of my appointment, both a Phil and Carey (sp) were kind, friendly and made my experience of needing a shuttle to the mall with my 3 year old toddler an easy experience. I would HIGHLY recommend Tuffy in Ft.Wayne. Additionally, my car was fixed exactly as promised, by 4pm closing on Saturday and a reasonable price. I was not asked for anyone to place a review nor do I have any personal affiliation with Tuffy. I just really appreciate good customer service!!!

Why is it that the owner only responds to good comments? What do they actually do here thats different from other repair shops? They will rip you off and blatantly smile to your face. Thats the only difference with this place as compared to others. They will act like they know more than anyone else in the business, get your trust and then take advantage of you. Dont be fooled by their fake kiss up attitude. Once you pay them for the faulty work, you cant get your money back. They also dont have tires to sell there- who would name their repair shop with the word tire and not have them there? This is NOT a tuffy tire shop to trust. They are LIARS!

On Thursday February 27th I had my car in to have my catalytic converter replaced. Immediately I was welcomed by Phil Murach and told at the time I would have a ride given to my workplace and picked up at end of day. On that day the driver was Kerry Johnson; once again well taken care of. I was picked up from my work (on time I might add) and taken back to Tuffy on Coldwater where my car was being serviced by technician Chad Long. When done with my car I was explained in detail and shown how my converter looked and what may have caused the problem by both Phil and Chad. I felt the service and pricing was fair and to this day been happy with the results.

Very pleased with Tuffy Auto Service, great unbeatable prices and quick service. I will recommend anyone needing to get honest, reliable work done at a great price and awesome customer service to get their car serviced there.

My tire was leaking air on my 2011 Malibu. They repaired the tire the first time and it continued to leak. The second time they said there was a crack in the rim. I took it to Fort Wayne Wheel Repair and they found no cracks in the rim, but found a pin in the tire that they patched up even though they dont normally fix tires. Terrible customer service, plus the repairmen were pretty rude at Tuffys.

Beware!!! This place is the biggest scam ever. Before I took my car into this place nothing was wrong with it. Well I took it in to get a oil change and when they were finished they told me that everything was leaking. They mess up your car so that you have them fix something that they messed up in the first place. I took it back and they found the issue but my car is still messed up due to them. Will never use Tuffy ever again.

They did a good job of explaining what they fixed on my car and was done in the time frame that they had given me.

BEWARE! I lost $82 on a defective wheel alignment here. The technician said my tires were worn due to cupping however, slight cupping would not cause the steering to drift 15 degrees to the Right. I brought my truck back to reaccomplish the alignment which resulted in a steering drift of 15 degrees to the Left. Again, the tech said it was the tire wear. I highly doubt this amount of variance in steering is due to tire wear since my tires have a warranty of 50,000 miles, they only have 35,000 miles of wear and they have decent tread remaining (Mastercraft Courser AXT). I also do not believe the technician because the cupping is barely noticeable nor measurable on the edges and this should not affect steering much. I am a Civil Engineer with 16 years experience and I understand mechanics, momentum, friction, centripetal and tangential force vectors, etc, and I know the technician was lying or exaggerating. I went to the Nissan dealer to align my truck properly for the SAME PRICE and now it drifts only slightly as can be expected due to very minor tire cupping. I explained this to the manager Ryan who knows nothing about wheel alignments and takes the technicians word for everything. He was very rude when I asked for a refund and he did Not let me explain that the alignment was never done correctly and that a voided warranty does not apply to poor labor. Ryan, the manager, hung up on me twice as I was trying to explain this. When I asked for his Supervisor, he told me that he did not have one and wouldnt tell me who he reports to. He is liar! He told me to call corporate Tuffy and wouldnt give me a number when I asked for it. I wish I could give this place a half star rating if possible. I am requesting a refund and it has been a few days since I contacted corporate Tuffy to notify the business owner. I am reporting this to BBB and will proceed with other actions. I want a refund.

I was a first time customer, had never heard of Tuffy but had past it many times in travel. I notices my brakes and tires were very rough including vibrating and increases brake distance. I knew I need new tires and brakes very soon. I went to Tuffy expecting just a normal service experience but i can tell you these guys are the best! They quickly took in my Pontiac G6 and showed me exactly what was wrong with the car up and explained exactly what was wrong and my options in order to fix it. They didnt just give me the expensive options, they gave me even the lower options of what i could do. I quickly decided to opt for replacement of everything and even afterwards they showed me the old parts and i could see how bad they were. I felt completely satisfied by Tuffy and could not have asked for more. They even had my new tires brought over from tire barn so i didnt have to have to installment times and pricing. THESE GUYS ARE GREAT! I will be going here for all my needs for sure! I dont know much about car parts but they informed me to the fullest of my car problems. I cant recommend them enough! THANKS!

The first time I visited Tuffys was for an oil change. It was simply because it was close to my home and on my way to work. It was during their Grand Openeing so I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was very professional and gave me the warm fuzzy feeling that he would make sure my vehicle was well taken care of by his service team. Three cars later, Im still going to Tuffys on Coldwater not just for oil changes, but for all my repairs. Just last week I needed a new starter and had my car towed to them, the manager gave me a ride to my house and my car was fixed the next day. He even offered to pick my up and give me a ride back to get my car! The service team is always friendly and is very good about explaining everything. They are very understanding and helpful. No high pressure sales, no gimicks and always with a smile. If you have to shell out the money to have your car fixed, you might as well get it fixed right. I would reccomend Tuffys on Coldwater to everyone.
