We had a check engine light go off on our Ford F-250 Diesel on our vacation trip to Florida. Upon calling the Ford dealership in Fort Walton, we were told they could try to squeeze us in in 3 weeks. The person at the Ford dealership was not empathetic or helpful in any way. Neese Auto was recommended by a very helpful gentleman at A-1 Auto in Destin. Neese was friendly on the phone and squeezed us in knowing our vacation plight. We are very thankful to them and would highly recommend their establishment!

So, we took our SUV for an AC repair and the repair was done and the AC seems to be functioning fine so far (1week since fixed). My only complaint is that when we picked up our vehicle, there was a beer bottle cap laying on the floor. We are a family that doesn’t drink, ever. Just the fact that I know someone was drinking while fixing my car’s AC, a job that cost $2000 total, is a bit unsettling. What if something was broken or damaged because this person was under the influence. I don’t know how others would feel about this but in my opinion, it’s a bit unprofessional.

*** Update, after discussing this with the front desk folks they refunded the $125 diagnosis fee citing a communication mis understanding. Regardless who was right or wrong they took it upon themselves to just refund the fee in question. This is in direct support of my first statement in my original review that front desk staff was very friendly.Thank you,The place looked clean and professional and the front desk staff was very friendly. I came in for an oil change which is fine so far... no issues. The reason for the low marks is that I told them I have a intermittent coolant leak from one of my heater core hoses. I asked for a quote to fix it and they told me they would do a pressure check. When the oil change was done they added a $125 charge to my bill to diagnose for the problem I already identified. I thought whatever at least they did a pressure check however I was informed they did not need to do the pressure check because they saw the problem instantly. If the problem I had identified is so easy to see they do not need to do the check than they should not have charged the extra fee to give me a quote. Would have been a different review had they just done the pressure checks they told me I needed and charged me for.The work here seems professional here but be very careful of extra charges and fees.....

Neese does a great job of out of the box thinking. We needed a latch replaced on our tailgate. They were able to source the part on their lot. We are big on recycling in our house. This was a great solution for a simple part. Working like a charm.

I had been referred to Neese automotive by a few people when my kia soul broke down. I had it towed to their shop and they diagnosed it with a blown engine. Well I was in a bind and they were extremely accommodating. I decided not to replace the engine and bought a used honda. I went to Neese to pay my diagnostic bill and Jackie and Katie were great to me even looked up the carfax for me before I had initially went and looked at the potential car. I had a mechanic friend come look at it before I bought it and he gave me a rundown of what needed replacing. I then took that vehicle after purchasing to Neese to have some work done. They were great got my car back and am very happy with my overall experience. Thank you Neese for being so kind and helpful, especially Jackie and Katie!!!

Well never come back here. Got brakes and router changed. Week later the barke cylinder went out and they say it had nothing to do with the work they did. Thought you check brake pressure before saying everything is fit. I lost brake pressure while driving Dont recommend.

I had to tow my truck at this shop $200, 24 hours later they called and told me to pick up my truck because they dont work on it since my truck has the def deleted (I got it as is from the auction).I said ok and I hire the tow truck again to take it to different shop.24 hours later they call me and said that they cant release my truck because I have and unpaid bill of 137$ for the diagnostic they did on my truck.cost me 337$ to run a diagnostic just like the one you get for free from any autozone.any professional mechanic can see that the truck has a kit for the def deleted why do you run a diagnostic and than call me to tell me you dont work on it.STAY AWY FROM THIS GUYS

Dont take your diesel truck here. They replaced some steering components on my f250 which drained some of my diff fluid without filling it back up. They replaced a part, stated truck was fixed, and it had the same issue that I dropped it off for. I assume they didnt test drive it. They also didnt properly clock my steering wheel, it now points to 1 o-clock when I drive straight. I now feel that this shop is dishonest and I would avoid doing business with them.

Cant say enough good things about them, my car was acting up, I dont trust anyone else to be fair with me and work on my car. I was near the area, pulled in and they were able to get it looked at for me. They really have your best interest and I always feel comfortable knowing theyre being honest.

When there is a vehicle issue, they talk you through their findings and the best course of action for your budget and vehicle reliability. Theyve also supported multiple local military booster club and fundraising events without hesitation. Well first off I am a mechanic myself I work on all my own vehicles because it shops over price and do half the job they say they do Mrs. Jackie and Mr. Charlie went above and beyond I have found my new home base shop and forever mechanic shop that I can trust they put A new rear end with Locker and intake and a few other things best job ever and reasonably priced for such talent and honesty thank y’all again highly recommended and highly respected!!

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I took my 95 Jeep wrangler in for a rear end rebuild. They completed the task in a timely manner and even corrected everything dealing with the drive line to get rid of a very bad vibration that I had. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was right before they returned my vehicle. I would recommend this shop to anyone in the local area.

I bought an older truck located in the Destin area while I live in Georgia. I had Neese do a pre-buy inspection and then all of the repair work. The truck was lifted and parts needed replacement but the original manufacturer is no longer in business. Neese tracked down the company that bought the defunct manufacturer and got all of the correct parts. The truck runs and rides great. Kudos for going above and beyond to get the job done. My only regret is that I live too far away for Neese to do all of my repair and maintenance work.

My family was vacationing in Destin when a transmission oil cooler line ruptured. The vehicle was towed to Neece Automotive where it was repaired in a timely fashion. I am a mechanic and hate to have someone else do repairs on my vehicles. I thought that the work was very good and the price was very fair. The technician did a great job of cleaning the transmission fluid from the top side of my engine where it had sprayed. I am from Indianapolis In. and was very impressed with the fact that I was not taken for a ride do to being from another state. Great service and friendly people. Thanks for getting us back back on the road.

I would highly recommend Neese Automotive to everyone. They are very knowledgeable on warranty claims as well as diagnostics of any vehicle. I have used them many times for my older vehicles, and sent them all my friends and family. They fixed my entire air conditioner for half the price another shop quoted, it blows colder and better than original. Thank you Neese!!

Overpriced work first of all, second they give fake estimates, trying to trick to spend more money there. I took the car to other mechanics, and did not give me the faults as they did here. I do not recommend this place

Went in for a tune up. (Found some other things that needed attention) Jackie went above and beyond the call of duty to assure I was road worthy! If I could give 6 start I would! (The local shops sure do take care of the locals)

BUYER BEWARE I would not recommend this shop to any friend or enemy. Ive spent more than $3500 within the last three months. I call to get an estimate for more work and accepted the estimate. I drop it off during my scheduled time. Two weeks later they inform me that they CANNOT do the repair and attempted to charge me $80 to diagnose the issue I already had diagnosed. I was informed that they dont do this repair after two weeks of them having my vehicle! I wouldnt do business here! BUYER BEWARE

On Friday when I went to drop off my car, these guys quoted me 295 on a new wheel bearing, parts and labor along with new break pads and rotors. (I supplied the rotors) they also told me that the car would not be started until Tuesday, and should be finished same day.I received a call on Monday saying that the car was done and all went well.When I arrived to pick up the car the price was over 15% cheaper than the quote and my care is running (and stopping) smoothly once again!And to think I was going to be ripped off for not being a local.They could have easily charge me the price that they quoted and I would have walked away with no tears. They went above and beyond and gave me a service discount.GIVE THEM A SHOT!

I recently had an incident where I shut my seatbelt in the door to no avail I pushed and pulled and kicked and thought I better take it in before I damage my car. Ms Jackie front desk was quick and most curteous, and professional. Super glad I made the call 👍.

I would steer clear of this place solely because one of their company Tahoes cut me off twice in about 15 minutes. Once making a left turn in front of me - they chose to avoid turn signals or using the turn lane (or the right lane) and simply cut in front of me going about half my speed and made no effort to speed up or get out of the way. A few minutes later, outside of town, they made a really bad, dangerous pass and cut back in front of me, where they remained, tailgating the driver in front of them for miles. Im sure the work they do or the service at the shop resembles their driving - but Ive been wrong before.

I initially contacted neese auto to have some AC work done on a recently purchased car. I had told them to fix it properly and I didnt care of the cost. Upon diag, they said they found an unusual amount of metal in the AC system plugging the condenser and dryer. They called me and told me it was ready to pick up. 6 days later the AC stopped working again. I brought the vehicle back to them as they just fixed it and they told me it was going to be $1,200.00 more. I brought the vehicle to the dealership and they said that NEESE should have replaced the compressor (where the metal came from) INSTEAD they threw parts at it, filled it with refrigerant and sent it down the road. They would not warranty their work stating they believe they fixed it properly. I would NEVER recommend anyone to go here. Not only are they HORRIBLE mechanics, they are integrity violators. Charlie (the owner) came to my work creating a scene trying to get violent, while his wife(Jackie) sat back and LIED about the whole situation stating I was the one being rude and belittling all in all, these are the kind of people who should not be in business. Lesson Learned

I was not impressed. I needed spark plugs changed out and was told the vehicle would be ready by end of business day, but it wasn’t ready until the end of the following day. When I complained, they provided minimal compensation....certainly not enough to offset an additional lost day of work. I will never take another vehicle here.
