An interesting and educational place for kids and adults. Since my last visit with the kids a lot of activities were changed. The main room has changed into a cosmos adventure with computer game interaction. The upstairs was also changed and has information about the weather, planets, electricity etc. They added more activities outside and live shows. It definitely worth checking it out. We paid only $15 per person and it was definitely worth it.
Awesome! They just remodeled and its better than ever! Been there every remodel because Im on the FTC robotics team they host. This is definitely the best remodel yet! Highly recommend you check it out!!
The IMAG team did an amazing job for my daughters 10th birthday party! I was completely blown away with the detail, and the actual care they put in to make this experience unbelievable for my daughter. We did the Mad Scientist themed birthday party and it was well above my expectations on how they put everything together. From the moment I walked in, they were so helpful with ever detail of of the event. I will say that this was the best birthday party experience ever. Thank you again for all you did on this occasion. You are my go to place for an amazing experience.
Highly recommend this place! Its very interactive and really fun for the family or for a couple on a date! All the staff were really nice and knowledgeable. Although the building is a historic location they have a lot of high tech exhibits and displays like science on a sphere (which they use at Kennedy Space Center, an interactive topography table, a waterways simulator, and a whole room of Space Simulation games. An absolute gem in southwest Florida!
We went to see Clyde Butcher’s photography exhibit on Cuba which was super and had the extra thrill of having this educational museum to ourselves. We very much enjoyed the personalized presentation on the planets by the nice young man in charge of teaching. They have a very good exhibit on the Calusa Native people. The aquarium area is fun and petting the stingrays great for kids and adults. The lady at the registration desk was so very nice and helpful. Check out the section on hurricanes...including the wind tunnel‼️
Was a blast. The activities are engaging and informative. The little science show they do at 2pm everyday is alot of fun.
Wonderful experience for younger children. Lots of hands on exhibits to enjoy. They have a snack shack for cold refreshments, sandwiches, and ice cream. There are plenty of shaded picnic benches outside. The outdoor exhibits were very educational. Overall we enjoyed our visit.
Fun for the whole family! We easily killed two hours here. My son and I were super psyched to get to see a Tanked show tank in person! Whole family had fun interacting with the many exhibits. Snack bar was decently priced and servings were generous also.
Hadnt been to Imag in years. Many exhibits have been changed out but are no better or more interesting than what they had before. I liked the new path outside, but the large alligators are gone. The whisper dishes were new since the last time I was there but one didnt project the other voice so must have gotten out of alignment somehow. I liked the big tortoise. Live animal show was enjoyable.Just hitting their 25th anniversary and feels a bit run down. Not sure I like the mix of the history and science (used to be just science). Feels more like a kids play area than a science center.
We really enjoyed our day here at the museum. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. One of our favorite things was the feeding and petting of sting rays (they don’t sting!). There is a cool globe shaped screen called “Science on a Sphere” that illustrates climate, airliner flights, hurricanes, etc, that is intriguing. We watched 3 short 3D movies that were interesting. There is so much for kids and teenagers. They do not have a cafe, but do have a nice gift shop
Overall a fun place to take the kids. Hands on science exhibits and a smaller aquarium setup. Good place for younger kids to spend a couple hours burning some energy off. Loved the glove upstairs that can show all sorts of love info on it (we watched live tracking of hurricane Dorian). The sand box exhibit was also excellent.
Interesting exhibits. Educational and fun. Loved petting the sting rays and feeding the turtles and fish. Perfect for kids aged 5 and up.
Kind of small. Very hands on. They did have people around cleaning non stop. Kids enjoyed themselves. Educational. Not somewhere you can spend the whole day but a few hours.
Great place to take the kids to let them have fun and learn at same time. Lots of hands on activities. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.
My husband and I expected it to be for little kids (we dont have any) but were pleasently surprised! Great little museum with hands on exhibits and awesome presentations throughout the day. We really enjoyed our time here!
Our kids (the oldest is 8) enjoyed the hands-on room. The touch tank was also a favorite, but is small compared to others we have experienced. The entire place needs a refresh (paint, signage, and several exhibits). The virtual reality exhibit is only open a few times a day. There were exhibits that had no real explanation at all. Everyone there was polite and helpful as needed. Our in-laws got in for free with a reciprocal membership from another museum. We drove up from Marco Island; I can’t honestly say that it was worth the trip.
My wife and I took our almost four year old daughter and 14 year old son. My parents also came with us. We had a great time. My son loved the simulators and my daughter just about loved everything. My parents and my wife and I loved the little models, the history and watching the kids have fun. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a break from the sun for a few hours and a little education. The staff was super friendly as well.
We made it here because it was a rainy day and definitely was the right choice the kids loved it.
So small, so uninteresting. Coming from a family that loves museum. Sad when you pay $40 for admission and within an hour children are begging to leave.
Very cool place to go. They change the setups from time to time. Used to be displays that taught physics, now its space. The displays are interactive and fun. The tortoise feeding and the stingray petting was cool to watch too. Hand sanitizers were everywhere and masks are required.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our kids had a blast even though they are pretty young. The science show was a highlight for our 5 year old. There is tons to do here, in a relatively small space, to keep busy.
Great place for kids .. lots of hands on activities and shows
Lots of things to see and do with kids! Tickets are 15 per adult and and 10 per child. 2 and under get in free. They play movies about 3 times . There are lots of reptiles and amphibians to see. A historic museum, a virtual reality game for children to play, and a creative playground where even the adults will want to play!
Good way to spend 3 or so hours. Much longer and the wonder starts to dissipate. They do have surprisingly good food.
Kids seemed to enjoy it. Lots of hands on activities available.
Great place to burn a few hours with the young children. We spent 3 hours with a 3 and 5 year old. It was miles of smiles for them. Staff was fantastic. Price was good. Very clean.
Best sci center we have close to Naples !! Good place to take the kids, be active and learn sum fun facts !!
Great educational place for a indoors activity for the family $15 adults $10.00 childrenThe children loved it ages 4,5 we spent three hours and it was perfect
Great visit on a gloomy rainy day during vacation! 15 year and 8 year old both had an awesome time
I grew up in foster care in Fort Myers, the imaginaruim was a refuge for me during the summer. They run an amazing summer camp for kids, I don’t know how else to put it. It’s also a good experience for young teens to learn to lead and how to teach. I credit them for keeping me out of trouble and safe, fort Myers streets are dangerous. Once again I cannot express enough my gratitude towards the people how work there, I’m writing this for them. I hope someone reads it and knows you’ve changed my childhood and countless other foster kids.
Lots of fun. many opportunities for learning. needs a little repairs in some of the hands on areas
This place is really for children under the age of 10. Half the attractions were either inoperative or being updated/created. The place did have a couple daycare/camp groups which made viewing some of the attractions a little difficult at times due to the large crowd, but they do move on quickly enough. When the stuff did work, it was an ok experience. My 4 year old loved it.
This was nice/cute for its size. Lots of interactive things for little hand to explore. The presentation about the plants was short and age appropriate. A little pricey for the size and several items were additional (fossils, fish food, hurricane tunnel, etc.). Ages 4-7 enjoyed for about 2 hours.
Fun place for kids and adults of all ages.A lot to learn, from animal life to hurricanes to how electric and tv work.
Very cool place but very disappointing that half the exhibit is closed due to the Coronavirus. Still paid full price. Otherwise Id gave it 5 stars.
It was a good time for my kids. The exhibits were ok. I recently heard they are private now so they should get more donations and more money for the center which should help them along. I look forward to going back when I get back down to Ft Myers.
My 3 year old really enjoyed it, his fav part was touching the star fish.
Kids had a really good time. Interesting exhibits for them. Enjoyed the stingrays 😁
Overall, we enjoyed our visit. Was sad that the 3D movie wasnt working that day.
Very nice outing for the family. Not too much to do for children under 2 but we still had fun.
Amazing place, best bang for your buck if you have kids.
This is the greatest mueseum ive ever been at #would come again
Its a small museum.. my little one liked it
There girls at the touch pond were so nice!! They have my daughter food to feed the flounder :)
It was a really fun place to visit. Had stuff that younger and older kids would enjoy. I loved that it included history, as well as science!
Its a well designed childrens museum. If you are traveling on the ASTC reciprocity, it is worth noting it is a small aquarium (one room) and otherwise has a room dedicated to Floridas history otherwise, the bulk of the museum has a strong focus on children. Either way, as adults, we enjoyed our time with our children at the museum. I played with the boats in the locks exhibit, I played with balls in the physics space. We would go back:)
Fun and educational. Great for the whole family. I highly recommend a visit.
Spectacular venue with displays, interactive exhibits, live animal shows and more! Our 8 yr old was in heaven. Staff was incredibly friendly, happy and helpful. We will absolutely return on our next visit to the region.
Awesome place for kids and adults. Cafeteria has really good food. We purchased a family membership. Lots to do and see. Buy the sand and pan for fossils and gems.
Great place to spend a rainy day if youre in the area for vacation! So much to do!!!
Overall it was fun but somethings werent working, missing elements and the sphere presentation needs someone better able to answer questions
Very informative manta ray guy! Girl with the chameleon was cool 😎
Great place to go if you want to learn, adult or child.
Not what it used to be. Good for kids but used to be a whole lot better.
Fun and informative.
Had a great time here with the family. Lots of interactive exhibits. The kids favorites where the touch tank and 3D dinosaur movie.
Best place to take the kids for a great time and good place to experience the history they have there
I would rate this museum a 5/10. It was listed as a top aquarium but there was only 1 fish display. There were also quite a few displays closed and was advertised as having a hurricane simulator however, it costs extra.
Small childrens museum for kids under 11. Had little animal show. Gem and rock panning exhibit ($), small aquarium with touch tank for stingrays and starfish. Feed turtles and coi fish. Place for kids to build with blocks and tracks.
My kids loved going here. They dont have much for children under the age of 3 though.
Wondered if they were open so I called to seeAll I got was a recording that didnt help. They said to leave a number which I did but they never returned the call. Hey, if you want customers.... We went anyhow but it was slightly disappointingPart aquarium, part science center, part kids museum. Very small place but nice place to kill an hour
Small but very good for familys fun.
Super small but interesting enough to keep the kids busy for an hour
Awesome space for the kids. Always changing exhibits too.
Went for my bfs birthday, very small but still had a few great things to see! Got to pet a beaded dragon and stingrays. Just wish it had more.
Something Great for kids on the weekend.
Great little science museum with tons of interactive elements. Kids loved the bed of nails and moon base exhibit. But the interaction with the reptile keeper was the best part. Kelly was our volunteer guide and she was absolutely fantastic.
While on vacation, we drove up from Naples to visit IMAG just because we had seen it on our museum reciprocity list. We are glad we came! Its a very neat place with plenty to do including a 3D theater, animal exhibits, virtual reality experience and physics experiments. The front desk staff and the educational staff were all terrific!
Practically all of the exhibits were closed, if they were not closed they were most likely broken or the stuff inside had been removed not worth the money.
My family had so much fun. Even our 17 year old was playing with the exhibits. The staff was so friendly and even helped with local food and dessert recommendations!
Great place to burn a few hours with little kids. Great mix of activities for all ages.
It is a great facility if you only plan on going once and don’t have children under 5 their kids zone is shut down the displays haven’t changed in over a year and it was not worth getting a membership. I requested a refund or an extension since for 10 of my 12 month membership offered nothing that I had been told when signing up. I understand covid has made things difficult but if you can’t provide a service you should offer fair I compensation to for what they can’t provide.
It was more for little kids. Lots of hands on things to do.
Lots of fun activities everyone can enjoy!
Nice place for kids
Although it is a little expensive this place is great for kids, the way things are set up for kids to learn are enticing to the wee ones and a lot of cool stuff to learn. The staff is very knowledgeable and really seem to enjoy what they are doing. Very patient with all the lil kids. Also, they are very well marked for covid in that they have plenty of stations for hand sanitizer and staff cleans quite a bit.
