RVTech handled a complicated fridge repair for us. Our unit had rusted solid! Now working perfectly, ice cold and better than ever. But the BEST was the detailing they did to our camper. Our camper was dull and had lost its gloss and luster. RVTech stripped off old waxes and seals and then clearcoated it twice. Their attention to detail was amazing. Obviously the siding looks fantastic, but they also did the steps, door handles, bumpers, etc. Then they re-sealed the whole camper. Looks super shiny. Proud to show it off. One other point...is their jigh level of communications throughout repairs and detailing.. We highly recommend them!!
This place is amazing for getting our RV fixed! Not only were they able to get us in within a few days of us calling them. They got it FIXED! within just a week or so. Instead of the multi weeks that the other places have you scheduled and waiting. They also call you, with updates and know what they are talking about. Again unlike those other places!RVTECH was able to get most everything covered under our extended warranty and called and quoted the difference before they started work so we knew exactly what we were dealing with! Thanks Bob and rest of team! You are the best!
Absolutely amazing... After many attempts at another large rv service department... ONLY RVTECH could fix our issue!!!
Clearly running late or something..f150 advertising this business just tried to run me off the road.
I hate the RV Tech. I hate the RV Tech more than I hate the General RV Center. The problem with the RV Tech is the RV Tech (that’s actually not my quote, somebody told me that when I told them I went to the RV Tech). The RV Tech just likes to hear his voice. The RV Tech worked on my motorhome and applied two coats of clear coat, and my motorhome looks great. But there are also fingerprints in the clearcoat that will always be there, there are clear coat fingerprints on the inside of my motorhome. I would never go back down to the RV Tech and leave my motorhome with him. The RV Tech said my motorhome was ready and when I arrived, it was not. I made a wasted 6 hour round trip. The RV Tech needs a woman in his office to give a different perspective. The RV Tech is just a team of guys. Save yourself a bunch of stress, and do not use the RV Tech. Leaving this review makes me happy 😀👍.
We were in a bind with a leaky head back in February and RV Tech was recommended. Boy am I glad we called. They helped us promptly and Chuck quickly earned our loyalty and respect. Very knowledgeable with plenty of excellent free advice for the RV owner. We returned on 3/4/16 and had a tire minder system installed as per Chucks recommendation. Very pleased! Dont leave home without one! I highly recommend Chuck and RV Tech in Ft. Myers!
I bought one of their consignment rv. They have been great fixing things as i found them. Get the PDI where they check all the systems. Chuck is awesome, and Bob too. Nice doing business with these folks. Very happy
Our brand new fifth wheel had so many issues that needed to be fixed but our dealer we purchased it from couldn’t and wouldn’t fix them. We contactedRV Tech and within minutes Chuck and his team knew exactly what the problems were and proceeded to fix them all in a timely fashion. They know their stuff. I highly recommend RV TECH
Chuck, as well as his staff are great to deal with. I contacted him in the morning and explained the symptoms of our coach. He told me to bring it in asap. Within 2 hours of having the coach, he had diagnosed the problem, contacted extended warranty, got an approval and had the part ordered for next day delivery. Amazing to have that kind of service and it is well appreciated. Thanks again for your honesty and commitment.Brad
Very disappointing. I called to see if I could set up an appointment to have an estimate done to install a satellite system in my class a 43 foot RV.I made a point to ask specifically if they would do an estimate using my equipment and another using equipment I would purchase directly from them. I was told there would be no problem and to bring the RV on in. When I arrive the next morning I had to park out on the street as there was a literally no place to park. When I went inside they seemed totally aloof and when speaking with them they boldfaced denied telling me that they would install my equipment. He gave me an estimate that was over $500.00 more on the exact same brand and model of satellite dish that I would supply. I exited quickly never to return and I suggest you do the same.
Chuck, Jessica, Cody and team,We had the opportunity to use our RV last week and benefited by all the superior work your team put into our vehicle. The mud flaps are perfect, the TOAD was brilliantly installed and the tire stems creatively installed. Tank you for the minor fix-its you noticed and comped.Much appreciated and see you again!Lee and Barb Huntley
When the motor mount for our roof A/C fan broke during our vacation, I went looking online for a repair shop certified by the A/C supplier who could do the warranty repair. Based on positive reviews, I contacted RVTECH. Gary was proactive in gathering the pictures and info needed for warranty approval, then called back to let me know it had been approved and again when the motor mount repair kit arrived. When our appointment arrived, Gary quickly got our coach into the service bay and the repairs were done by the promised time. I enjoyed working with Gary and RVTECH will be my first call if I need additional service while in SW Florida.
This facility is a rip off, they overcharge the quality of workmanship is poor. Our motorhome was damaged while there and we were told unless we had pictures before we brought it there it was are word against theirs. They installed air monitoring for our tires and when we arrived all of our tires were flat. They claimed it must be some other problem and they would gladly look at what the problem was. While the problem was corrected the tire pressure monitoring system has never worked. The original prices quoted for everything we wanted done ended up costing us more than double and non of their time lines were never kept. You would be foolish to go here. I saw the 5 star rating and that is why I went there. This is an unethical company.Bruce Peterson
Good people to deal with. Honest and professional. Did a repair on my 5th wheel awning that was out of warranty. Chuck is one of the industrys most knowledgeable technicians. I highly recommend this company.
They are great at coating my rv roof. A full service place with a great reputation. Always professional!
Thank you Chuck for all your help and dedication. You are dependable, honest and hard working. Thanks again for quick response and superior knowledge. Highly recommended.
Professional team that goes above and beyond. Quality work and within the time scheduled. Let me and my 2 Labs stay a few nights here while they worked on my RV. Highly recommend this company ! I will be back in 2 months on my return for additional preventative maintenance! Thanks Chuck
Excellent. These guys saved the day when my AC went out. The big-box dealer where I bought the RV couldnt schedule this repair for 8 weeks. (You cannot use an RV in SW Florida without AC.) Chuck got me in quick and replaced the unit in an hour. He helped me sell the RV later, and I can recommend his consignment services as well. Very professional. Great attention to detail.
We were extremely happy with the service we received on our 2018 horse trailer with living quarters. We had used them for repairs on our old horse trailer and knew we would use them on the new one too. RV Tech replaced 2 batteries and all the cables and wiring, and the battery boxes on the trailer. We had accidently crossed live wires on the batteries, it shorted out and melted all the wiring and one of the batteries. They were friendly, helpful, and efficient. We will continue to use them in the future.
I was very impressed with their customer service skills. I had several jobs that needed done, including an upgrade on an old stereo system, furnace, generator and water storage problems. Everything was done in a timely manner. It is obvious that they are proud of their work. They detailed the RV and it looks brand new.
My refrigerator compressor was overheating and shutting off.I called on 5/22/ around 3:00 pm to see if they could see it the next day. He told me they where busy but he would check. They called me back five minuets later and said bring it in the next morning which happened to be Friday Memorial day weekend.I was there at 8:30 am and promptly greeted. They diagnosed it and it needed an extra fan installed.By 10:45 I was on my way with a working refrigerator for Memorial day weekend! Its three days after the repair and the fridge is ice cold!Skip the craziness of Camping WorldThese guys are great and operate a spot on business!1.5 hours of labor and a fan at cost was all I was charged for a really great service.Ill Be Back,Thanks RV TECH!
I had a great experience. They repaired my rv and it was even better than when it was new.
Excellent work at RVTech. Scheduled me in quickly. Did superb work andwere helpful in educating me on my RV. Very helpful! Thank you!
I have had Chuck do several repairs on my 11 year old coach within the past eight months. I initially took it to him because my usual mechanic was unable to perform a 30 amp to 50 amp conversion and was also unable to find out what was wrong with my basement a/c. Upon first look, Chuck determined the problem with the a/c and told me he could do the conversion. Both were done expertly and on a timely basis.Prior to my latest cross country trip, I had Chuck do an oil change and reinstall a heat shield that had come off the bottom of the coach. While on vacation, I had problems with my a/c and electrical again due to extremely rough roads forcing the generator to bottom out and sever its conduit wiring to the transfer switch. When I took it to Chuck after returning home, he found the problem and fixed it within days after quoting me a week and a half. While he had the coach, Chuck noticed a quarter panel was ready to fall off; another victim of the rough road. So he repaired it without charge.RV Tech is expensive, but worth the extra cost because Chuck is very conscientious about how he treats his customers, always wanting them to feel good about doing business with him. If he did chassis work, I would give him all of my business.
Our coach battery wouldnt hold a charge while we were on vacation in Naples, FL. We found RV Tech on-line and called them. They were very accommodating, getting us in the cue and solving the problem for us. We were very happy!
These guys are simply the best! I have an older coach, and Chuck and Jessica helped me fix many issues and get me back on the road. Even though it was an older coach, they still treated me like royalty. Dont waste your time anywhere else. They do charge more overall, but its worth it 100%. An issue even came up after pickup, and they took my coach right back in and took care of the problem. Thanks again for your help and support! My words cannot express all of my thanks! A++++
RV Tech had responded to our problems with a new rig, from A/C to windows and slides. They repaired everything the first time and in a timely manner. Weve used them multiple times and have always been very satisfied .
Took my motor home to RVTECH and they are the most inexperienced techs I have ever met. For months my coach has sat there and they never once told me what was going on. Every time I called them they always had every excuse as to why they didnt know. Once I finally got my coach back they did such a half ass job that I was forced to take it to someone else. So after paying them to do a job they obviously couldnt do I paid someone else and thank god the other repair facility had experienced caring techs that RVTECH did not.
We had problems with our Atwood jacks. We found in Fort Myers a specialist able to repair jacks, even Atwood brand.Since our next destination will be North Fort Myers, we make an appointment ....We prepared our RV to go at the appointment about 20 milles at 8 am at RV Tech in Forth MyersI leave the keys, I explain the problem but they are not aware that Atwood is no more in business . (My first concern)I would like to stay on site to see investigate the problem but he insists that we go elsewhere to wait, what we did. (Second concern)After several hours of waiting they called to tell me that they are unable to open the door of my RV. I go back as soon as possible and a single turn of the key, it unlocks and opens. (Third worry)Then the manager comes to me and told me that it will take a second appointment because that monday was the President day and his employees were not working. (Fourth concern). At this point, nothing has been done about the problem, only his specialist has printed the datasheet of my jacks and he must read it in order to know them. (Fifth worry).Without alternatives, we take a second appointment hoping they will have a solution. we go back to the camping, we moved knowing that we will go out again the next day.So here we are back at RV Tech, I sign a worksheet and then they still insist that we go elsewhere ...After an hour they call us to tell us that they found the problem, a piece must be changed.Back at the RV TechThe specialist comes to us and says he is 99.9% certain that the control panel is the problem.I ask him what will happen if this piece does not solve the problem.Oh there! I insulted him and he told me that if I did not trust him, I can take back my machine and go back with my problem. He points at me emphatically telling me he was expert and so I could trust him.At that moment, I know that if I say OK, I have to pay $ 240 for the part he hard to order and time at $ 140 /hour not knowing how much time I will have to pay.Since he is 999% confident and since I have no alternative, I take another appointment a week later waiting for that part hoping this will be the solution.Back to RVTech, left the machine there, waited for the call. After few hours of waiting they called us. Then we returned, to be told by the manager because the specialist didn’t come to tell us that the new piece was not the problem and maybe that is the motherboard that would be the problem. My limit is reached, there is no question that they continue to work on my RV even if they think they have the solution. I therefore paid the bill ($ 700 US) with no result ... and leave.
While on a mini trip to Ft. Myers beach I was having an issue with my slideroom extending I called RVtech they got me inright away and were able to fix the issue the same day. Thanks RVtech.
Great place to go to get all your RV stuff.
Rv tech was able to correctly and quickly resolve a refrigerator issue that I had with my 2013 view that had been ongoing since new. we had been to numerous Winnebago sanctioned repair shops that were unable to help us finally we have completed a round trip without trouble thank you Rv tech for a job well done HAPPY CAMPER
Rv tech did a great job sealing our class c roof. We have no more leaks now!
RVTech does good work, but you most talk directly with Chuck, the owner, or at least one of the technicians if you need more than an oil change. Otherwise, you may get exactly what you ask for: whether it is the best option or a not very good option or a not very worthwhile option.
We were a first time customer to RVTech hoping to find a place in this area that we could trust with our 2011 Allegro Bus for future repairs. We made a reservation to bring our coach in several weeks in advance to RVTech in Ft. Myers. We were scheduled to be able to stay with our coach for the time it was to be serviced but we decided to stay at a relatives condo figuring this would help expedite the repairs without us being in the way. In hindsight, we probably would have been better staying with it.We made it clear Day 1 that we needed the coach back in two weeks. They assured me that would not be an issue.Over the next week we would call and be told they would be sending us a quote that day only to not hear anything. We did finally receive pricing. It was nearing the 2 week mark. I e-mailed them over the weekend prior to the two week mark only to find out they were still waiting on some parts and that they were closed on Memorial Day which they never disclosed as this was the two week mark we were planning on picking up our coach. We arrived Tuesday morning around 10:00am only to be chased off by Jessica saying we could not access our coach at this time because they were working on it.Early afternoon they allowed us in to start loading up for our trip. Upon inspection of the vehicle we noticed several scratches on an area that had just been repaired. We reported it to one of their team and they agreed, it was a fresh scratch. They brought “Chuck”, the owner of the business over. Keep in mind, several members of his team had said that the scratch was not there when they worked on it. Chucks first words to me was “prove it”. He went on to tell me about his wife being a Trial Lawyer, blah, blah, blah. Bottom line, he was not going to fix it.I told him to forget the jack springs they were still waiting on and I would just pay my bill and leave.Upon going to pay for the invoice (over $5k worth of work) I was told I would have to pay for the springs because they were ordered but had not come in yet and that they were a special order. After disputing this, I agreed to pay for them since I was paying by Credit Card and could always dispute it if they never came in or if RVTech would not give them to me. At this point Jessica hollered “CHUCK”! She went and told him what I said and he said tell them they would have to pay Cash. He then went out and pulled our coach inside a bay, closed the door and then parked his pick up truck in front of the bay door. I guess he thought we were going to sneak in and ram our coach through the door!! He came back in and told us he would give it to us to under his terms or we could get a court order. At this point we called 911. The officer agreed that they could not keep our coach as long as we paid for it. Now that we had a witness to this whole ordeal, we went and got the cash and came back. We asked to have someone assist us with inspecting our coach to verify all of the work had been done. Chuck said absolutely not! Pay the bill or leave he said. We explained we had the right to review the work before we paid cash and verify everything was working and that all work had been completed. He then sent one of his staff out to review it with us. After finding the awning they had just repaired was not working properly, his staff member went and retrieved a ladder and proceeded to fix the issue. They also installed a New AC to replace a bad one. When we went to use it later we determined the unit makes a loud noise inside the coach while running. It’s like a loud vibrating noise. While one would assume this would be a warranty item, I know if I take it back that they will charge me for it and most likely blame it on the New AC and charge me for any labor at $135 per hour.I will find someone else to look at it and make any necessary repairs to resolve the issue since there is no way I would ever let them work on our coach again. After reading other reviews, it appears that quite a few people have recently had issues even though Chuck claims they are rated number one in the country!
Beware of The Owner – Chuck.Should a prospective customer (such as myself) reach out to RVTech and inquire about a service that they typically perform, and more specifically ask questions about parts prices and estimated labor to install them, Chuck and/ or his staff, will provide a vague idea as to what it customarily costs to perform such an upgrade. If you request more specificity on actual parts and labor you’ll get hostility in return. I’m sure that Chuck will respond to this posting by saying that he can’t find any service with my name on it in his database. That’s because Chuck wanted me to drive 9 hours to south Florida to bring him my coach so he could give me “a better estimate”. He just stated that the parts would be about $3800 and the labor $5600. Let me help the layman here by stating that what I wanted to do was upgrade my electrical system from 30 amp to 50 amp service. This task involves replacing the shoreline, line analyzer, Inverter, transfer switch, AC and DC distribution panels and charge controller at a minimum. Since my genset is already rated for the upgrade, the only thing to do with it is to wire and enable both poles on the pre-existing 2-pole breaker. Chuck’s estimate for parts didn’t tell me the specific brand names he uses or offer options. His labor estimate of $5,600 is the main reason for concern. I gave him the information about my coach, year, make and model. I included the fact that my existing 2-pole 62.5 amp rated 7500 watt generator was already compatible with the upgrade and wouldn’t need to be replaced. The remaining major components in the system would need to be replaced and that would be time consuming but not require 40 man hours. Most of the components are literally swappable with minor or no significant modifications needed. Breaking down his $5,600 estimate into $140/hr man hours gives me a clearer picture of his intent. 5600/140=40. This means he’s estimating it’ll take 40 man hours to complete the job. That’s a ridiculous number. He mentioned on the phone that it would take 2 days to perform the service. This means that for 40 man hours to be used in a 2 day period, he would have to literally have 2 service technicians working on it nonstop for both days and no less than 10 hours each day (2 men x 10 hours x 2 days = 40). There was no mention of a bay charge or an overnight charge, or any other explanation that might shine light on why the labor estimate was so high. This was the first red flag. The second red flag came when Chuck seemed to take exception with my suggestion that I be allowed parts options. Everyone needs to know that buying and installing parts from foreign countries that might not be too friendly to the United States in the coming years presents a warranty challenge for those of us getting non-OEM upgrades. As such, I prefer using parts manufactured in the United States. His correspondence mentioned some US manufactured parts, however I couldn’t get him to tell me what other brands he uses or is willing to use based on the suggestions and literature I sent to them. When I pointed out the high labor estimate, Chuck blew a fuse and sent me a long diatribe of hostility accusing me of interrogating him and asking him to work for free to explain why the labor estimate was so high. If this type of service is typical, then Chuck should already have a template for what his preferred parts are, how much they individually cost the customer and how many man hours it typically takes to perform the job. Beware. Chuck expects prospective customers to not ask specific questions on the phone or over email. Chuck wants people to bring business to him without first making sure he is willing to perform what the customer wants. It’s a difficult conundrum I know. He doesn’t want to make any promises he can’t keep, but he also doesn’t want to reveal the inner workings of what parts he prefers to use, how much they’ll end up costing the customer, and whether he bills for actual hours or book hours. Beware of this business!
Awful experience! After waiting over a month for an appointment, I dropped off my motorhome on 12/7 and was told by Jessica it would be ready in 2 weeks. Jessica seemed very polite and professional so I had really high hopes. Today, 12/21 I stopped by to check on their progress and literally not one thing has been done. They havent even looked at it. To top it off, they turned off my solar charger and let my bank of Odyssey AGM batteries (worth about 2 grand) run down to 7.7 Volts! I very politely asked if they would please plug it in right away because the voltage is so low. Chuck flat out refused. Shocked, I explained I have to get it plugged in ASAP to avoid further damage to the batteries. Chuck told me to take my coach and get out! He said they arent going to be able to work with me. Well Im glad they didnt start working on it because I dont want to do business with people like this. I should have known from the start, when we were going over the issues he basically told my dad to shut up and that hes only going to talk to me. I honestly have never had such terrible treatment from any business. If any of my friends or family ask me, I couldnt in good conscience recommend RV Tech.Upon reviewing this, I see RVTech is a liar. Completely making things up. Throwing a ladder? OMG. What a piece of work. As far as the work being too difficult, I LITERALLY did the work myself. I hired a welder to make the modifications, had a metal shop build a battery box, then I painted, installed and wired it myself. Now my batteries are accessible. RV Tech is incompetent and unscrupulous.
Took us on the spur of the moment and fixed our problem in less than an hour. Great service
Took my fifth wheel to rvtech. My ms2812 wasnt charging. He removed it along with all the wires and breaker box. He said he bench test my inverter and is would be $1200.00 to rebuild it. Plus he wanted to charge to rewire my inverter because he didnt like the way the wires were run. I opted to go elsewhere and he gave me a box of parts. He then wanted to charge me $400.00 for his time.I told him good luck. I went to Orlando and that place charged me $175.00 for the board and $75.00 for a shunt fuse . I replaced it myself and paid an Rv service center in Ocala FL $130.00 to reinstall the electrical panel and wires.Be very careful dealing with Chucky. As for all the positive reviews Chucky probably wrote them.
As soon as something got difficult they threw their hands up and said sorry, was now my problem - what the heck, theyre the repair shop!!! And they (both Jessica and Chuck) were extremely rude in the process!! Incompetent, rude and took forever to do minor repairs. I strongly suggest you go somewhere else for RV repair!!!
I had multiple air conditioner failures on my 2015 Tiffin Phaeton while in Florida got my first winter south. Chuck from RV Tech came to my site and diagnosed the problem, which ended up being fairly obvious as the fan motors had torn loose from the mountings. I took the motorhome to the shop for the repairs. Later in the winter a recurrence and further problem occurred, which was dealt with at no charge on my way home. Chuck was helpful and understanding throughout the process. I highly recommend RVTech.
We had some fiberglass and paint work repair done. The repair was completed on time and the work is excellent. Additionally, we had some factory warranty issues completed. RVTech completed these items in the promised time and got us back on the road. Their service is friendly, courteous, and top-notch in every way. RVTech is my go to service location for my Entegra motorhome. I highly recommend them for your service needs.
RVers and Vacationers, BEWARE!!! I took my RV Inverter to RV Tech in Fort Myers to get repaired. Gary told me that the tech did a diagnoses on it and it needed a replacement FET board. I then phoned Eastern Electric in Orlando and gave me a quote on the same FET board for half the price ($432 vs. $860. When I told Gary at RV Tech I was going to take it to the other place due to being so much cheaper, he informed me it would be $125.00 for the diagnoses. Then when i picked up the repaired inverter at the other place in Orlando, They said It wasnt even the FET board that was defective! it was another part on another board which was even cheaper to repair ($322.00). Everything is great on the inverter now and I saved $600.00. Chuck (Owner RV Tech) Would not give me money back on the inaccurate diagnoses which i felt was only fair. In my opinion, these people are rip off artists that want to take advantage of RViers and vacationers so they can line their pockets with extra cash. I should report them to the BBB !
I would like to say “Thank You” for the way RVTECH had taken care of an unfortunate problem that I had with my 2012 5th Wheel, It was VERY refreshing in this day and age of “poor customer service” to encounter someone like Chuck Williams and the staff of RVTECHMy first great impression was when I called and spoke to the service writer Gary, he was Polite, knowledgeable, showed great concern for our safety and just a great man to speak with, Gary understood exactly what was going on with the burning smell we were getting, he suggested we get it right in, he explained this could start a fire, Gary moved the schedule around and got us right in, the part had to be orderedRVTECH offered us, a Free place to stay, Free water, Free electric and Free Wi-Fi, they by passed the transfer switch so we had power and a place to stay for the night “A safe place” to stayOwner Chuck Williams is an exceptional and brilliant technician who diligently and expertly repaired my 5th wheel the concern he showed us for our safety, and the timely manner in which he responded to my problem was outstanding! It is such a “pleasure” to encounter a businessman like Chuck and the entire team, who practices “Values, Honesty and Integrity” in his business. I would highly recommend RVTECH for all RV needs.Because when they say “Dedicated To Excellence” they mean it!
Great service!!!
Very expensive
