Good place, but very special. A lot of young people less 21. Looks very old inside and outside, but at everything time its all in lights and looks pretty. Also, life music at everything.

Kava is gross. Our kavatender admitted that himself. Granted, the bar was packed to the gills and everyone seemed to be having a great time together. The staff were friendly and the crowd was young and lively. Just not the spot for us personally. When I think of Kava, I think of something relaxing and new to be enjoyed in peace with creative projects around to keep entertained. This spot felt more like a danky dive bar. I was glad the lights were dim to say the least. Renovation needed.

Nice, chill environment. Until they call for slams. I did not know you could drink too much kava to the point of vomiting like alcohol. That was embarrassing.. Just woke up and I have headache like I drank alcohol too. Nice place but I gotta drink a lot less Kava slowly and responsibly from here on out and it will definitely be at Kavasutra again.

The Kava is very smooth to drink. My mouth went numb just off the first sip, very potent stuff. Their Kratom flavored tea is surprisingly good. Ask for extra lemon juice, it makes a difference. The atmosphere felt more like a nightclub, so I couldnt really relax with the loud music in the crowded people. I spent almost $50 before the bartender told me that there was a point system that I could have signed up for. Spent another $11 just to do so.

Flew in to the city from Chicago and spent my layover here after hitting the beach. Bartender was vibing, trying kava was a first and a great venue to experience it for the first time.

I don’t frequent this one. I like the new one on Cypress and Dylan is fantastic.

I enjoyed going there, trying something new, keaton shot was the best, but do not over do it if you have not tried it, also if you have the time a kava shot is a must try. It is all good, depends on how youre body handles the unique drinks. Love all of it, staff was awesome and cool atmosphere.

Kavasutra Kava Bar, a cool spot for a late night traditional Samoan Kava beverage. Be prepared for a subtle mouth numbing earthy tasting drink like none other. Post intaking your first few sips you should recieve a soft-like root taste washing over your palate. The aftertaste, well, at least I thought was underwellming to say the least. But, nonetheless, a refreshing ancestral beverage thats sure to please the contemporary adventurous palate seeking something just a little different.Enjoy and Kava out!

First time at a kava bar and have to say that going in, didnt have any idea what to expect. When my husband and I walked in, as complete neophytes, we had a lot of questions. Saul was behind the bar and answered all of my husbands questions (trust me, there were a lot of questions).The vibe was mellow...so much so that we felt that all our questions disrupted the vibe a little bit (if so, were really sorry). In any case, once we got settled with our drinks and chips we quickly aligned with the atmosphere.The atmosphere? Low, low lighting here makes it feel cozy. Two beds in either corner of the small space add to the feeling that the whole purpose of this spot is centered around relaxation and decompression...at least thats what I think. We were perched at the bar...the better for conversing with Saul.Long story short... well be back.

Cool place. Chill atmosphere

Very very small local. It’s hard to find seating because the max seating capacity it’s very low. If you haven’t tried Kava before, it taste like mud or dirt water. It takes you a couple of Kava drinks to get the buzz everyone talks about. You better bring in a good amount of money because their Kava ain’t cheap, unless you get lucky and come during the special hour. Their customer service isn’t great, they were actually very hostile and only cared about making money. Last time I came to this place, since there were not seating I was standing waiting for a spot to open up and I did not wanted to order yet since I was not comfortable enough, this very young guy (bartender) at the other side of the bar told me why was I there if I wasn’t going to order. That got me having a bad taste of this place. I walked out and went to a legit game bar instead.

Reviews don’t justify the place. 15 year olds hanging around outside in the carpark, the bar is a couple of metres square. Walked in & walked straight out

I just don’t get it. Spent $100 on 5 punches to the dome and left incredibly unsatisfied. My buddy Jack loves the joint though. Go figure.

A hidden gym. This is the quintessential local hangout. A mixture or skater punks and locals make for a friendly environment where everyone seems to know each other, people are happy to meet you and have a conversation, and the staff is happy to help you find the ideal drink. Ill be going back during work breaks or for a chill start to the night.

They take a while to get your order. Kinda unprofessional cuz thre staff is usually busy talking to the patrons they like but its got a very home like feel. Very welcoming. So i still like it. It has benches where people hang out and a arcade machine thats free. With a few board games. The tvs usually show fish and the music is very loud.

I am not truly sure how many stars to give this. After wanting to try something different my wife and I found this place. Unfortunately we researched a little bit about Kava and how it is traditionally made after we left, which left an even worse taste in our mouths. However the location, atmosphere, and staff are very nice! Really pleasant and dim atmosphere, and the tender was very patient and kind. Kava drink is not for the faint of heart though, so beware your tastebuds.

Wants to be a Kava Bar. Dudes must be too chilled to ask what I’d like to order. Had to split. Had similar situations in the past with the regular guy not even bothering to pay attention to 2 sets of customers who wanted to order because he was trying to get some chick’s number. I won’t be back. There is a great Kava bar in Hallandale.

Kavasutra Kava is a great bar. Great food, great drinks service and music to enjoy your drinks. A good atmosphere to boot as well. The place is inviting and have great staff. You cant go wrong if you want to have a good time.

Great place with a quiet and comfortable environment

Im used to pretty pricey Kava bars. But this is next level. The Bartender was completely unaccommodating and not friendly at all. My friend and I visited for the first time. bought a 5$ 1oz shot of Kava and a 5$ cup of Tea. We paid separately, i paid in cash with a 10$ bill. I was not given change back for my 5$ cup of tea. So I asked the bartender why that was. He replied with I put it in the tip jar. I have NEVER heard of a bartender tipping himself with the change. I took back the tip, because that was unacceptable. We later heard, that when its your first time, there is a Virgin Special that we were never offered. I would have spent more money at this bar had the service been good. I do not recommend, and actively avoid this place. If you respect yourself, I suggest you find another Kava Bar.

A cool nightclub filled with 16 year olds

This place was amazing. Its a little place behind a restaurant building so when your gps says youve arrived, park your car by the point location and walk out back. Definitely ask for the virgin special if youre new. They let you try different kinds of their drinks for a cheap price!

Great place and product

If you’re adventurous and you like to chill will really chill folks, this is your spot. The bar tenders will learn your name and your drink, they’ve got great attitudes and will generally play good music. It’s not on the main path which is definitely a plus. The drinks themselves are an acquired taste to say the least lol but whatever it’s more about how you feel afterwards. Overall good energy and relaxing. I sometimes even get my best work done there on my laptop, because I’m able to just get into a good zone. Cheers hope this helps those who are looking for something else to do or get into.

We were “first timers” and were disappointed that we paid $20 for two teas we barely knew anything about. Bar keep was friendly and asked if we’ve visited before but failed to explain anything about their establishment or how to navigate through their products (which beverages would best suite us). Most likely will not be returning.

Very small, no tables inside, a bit hard to meet people and get into conversation. But the drinks were strong, the music was right and there was a Smash Bros tourney so all was well 🤙

Ok. I dont know where to start. First rip off deal, the amount you get is probably worth maybe a 50 cents in a 12 dollar cup not only that but the workers have no clue what theyre serving. When you ask what the dose of the large is you dont want to hear I dont know, it is just a big bag. I wont be going hear again.

An organic relaxed kick back type of vibe, Get what you need for a decent price and the quality is awesome. They host mini parties were are come to preform live. theyre called Kava-Fest. They also have high quality Kratom drinks that taste great. Definetly recommened this place to go kick it and chill with your homies and have a few drinks. Not to mention its loction is amazing. Wish i could rate it a zero. Bought a gram of there (boom) kratom a kid named conner told me its the strongest kratom extract ur going to get made a 10 mile drive late night expecting to be impressed. Complete garbage. Its clear to me that everything connor said to me was a complete lie. I know this because he said he uses kratom everyday and he cant handle this stuff its so strong yet i sware on everything i already had some plain leaf at my house that is by far stonger than this. Took a whole half gram dose by dose after being told to start with a .15. Nothing. I mean literally i did not feel anything. Do you know how much connor charged me for a gram. 30 dollars... Are you joking.. I would be completly satified to just get my 30 dollars back but thats not ganna happen. Btw i have never left a bad review or any review at all for that fact. But i had to type this review as i fall asleep at 3:33am feeling totally ripped off and cheated i want to say robbed but i got a gram of garbage so i gues its my fault for listening to this kid who clearly was taking about somethimg he knew nothing about. Live and learn i will never tell anyone about this kava bar that up until now i thought was a decent spot. I was wrong. Decent location. Horrible spot to spend anything. Ill edit this when i get my 30 dollars back.
