Great and safe place to practice especially if you are a beginner. True professionals and no intimidation. If you have questions, a great staff is waiting to help. This place is so helpful. I came here to take the gun course to receive my conceal license and they walked me through the entire process step by step, gave me everything I needed on the spot. I did receive my license yayyyy. I have recommended here to everyone I know. I am going back for some classes as well. Thank you guys greatly!

I came for the CWP training course on Saturday before 1 p.m.. I was taken care of right away. The instructions were quite informative. When I walked out maybe 4 to 4 1/2 hours later, I had all the necessary paperwork filled out to send to Tallahassee. The paperwork was the state form filled out correctly, a printed certificate of course completion and a finger print file made by an officer of the law. The only thing I needed was a money order for $97. I went to the post office, Monday morning. Purchased the money order and sent the envelope that is provided by the class instructor as a certified letter. Now the class was $100 and the money order and postage was about $102. So lets say $202 and 5 hours my time it took to send everything. Bottom line is that Bill Boyds Tackle and Gun Shop is the place to go for your concealed weapon permit. I loved the atmosphere. Country setting inside with ample parking. Oh, be sure to follow the instructions on the envelope flapper. I forgot to put a printed copy of the class certificate. I had to tear it open. The Postal clerk taped it up for me. DO NOT send the original. I am going to get a picture frame for it and mount it on my office wall at home. You will have a good time at Bill Boyds T&GS.

Great People Roy and Theresa. They help everyone and make it easier to learn because they know people need help and guidance yet they let you go at your own pace. Great range-great prices-great hours-great classes to get your CCW. Local folks helping us navigate these times of unknown. They have everything and if not will get it for you. What more would you need to keep your skills up. I go often and practice and it is not fancy but extremely effective. Thanks that they are there. Makes Fort Lauderdale even better.

I took my concealed weapons class here and was very impressed with the extensive knowledge of the instructor. I was guided as to which gun to purchase. I take lessons here and will continue. They treat you like family! I drive from Coconut Creek ... but they are well worth the drive!

I arrived sometime between 11 am (when they open) and 6:30 pm (when they close) to check out some firearms and may i say they have a variety; everything from glocks to m1 garands. Once i found the brand new gun I was interested in purchasing they let me test fire it in the range to be sure it was the one for me. I came back the next day to shoot with my family one of the many rental firearms they offer and it was only $10 per person per day and $15 for the gun. These prices compared to other places are unbeatable for me. The welcoming employees behind the counter were informative and knew what they were talking about gun wise. I would 10/10 recommend this store to anyone interested in firearms or fishing.

Purchased my Ruger Ar 556 from this shop and the price was unbeatable. Roy and Stephanie are great people and very knowledgeable. If you look up man in the dictionary you will find a picture of Roy.

If you want a gun course this is the ONLY place to go. It was an amazing experience I couldn’t recommend it enough. They give you every tool you need to get concealment and quite literally hold your hand through the process. So thankful a family member recommended this course

It’s my first pick. Old school. If you expect a fancy new range it’s not for you. The price and customer service is the best. The atmosphere is about me. Feel very relaxed shooting.

I like the range. Its close to my job, so if I want to squeeze a few rounds during lunch...I can. $10 range fee...all day per person.. cant beat that unless you own you own range. Its a bit rugged, but so am I. A bit warm in the range area..so if you want..bring a small battery operated clip fan. Large place for fishing and firearm supplies. A bit pricey for 9mm range ammo (.28 a round), but its for convenience...so bring plenty of your own. Friendly quick service with a smile.

Last time I was there they would let you forever full auto, there was no range supervision. Would go there if youve never handled a firearm before.

Great concealed weapon class, everything included, just mail form & documents.I did not take the self defense class but the trainer on site knew what they were talking about doing! Will take self defense class at a later date.

Love it here. They are extended family to me. Always take care of me when I come in. Its never dirty & if I need help I can ask and if nothing to crazy is going on they drop everything. Their very friendly & the facility is neat. And you get tons of knowledge in regards to firearm purchase from cost, carry to comfortability. Roy will not allow you to just throw money away on a gun that doesnt even make you comfortable. Very good chartered people, love them.

Best rate for concealed weapons class. Very accommodating too. Range is only 15 yds but the rate is unbeatable and its a real mom and pop business the way we like them. You can rent weapons, buy ammo at good price but no obligation.

If you are not in the mood for someones political commentary (which the gentleman wrongly assumed i wanted to hear) I would avoid.However if your into that kind of stuff or if you like back and forth banter give it a shot.Prices: 15 to shoot, 10-15 Each for box of bullets/gun of choice, $5 for headgear and glasses.Opinions: They have guns and they have bullets.Lots of gun ranges to choose from. I probably would try those to compare before I came back here again.

Mom and Pop style store, very laid back but informational. $10 an hr for a lane and if its empty they allow you to stay longer. Highly recommended and close to down town.

Great place to go shoot good range prices a hands on owner who knows his trade. This is my kinda range Pretty sure you can get certified here if you need to take a class or re-qualify.

Nice range nice owners good gun advice & selection!

I was given a mint 1965 Walther PPK/S that had not been fired in over 40 years. I wanted it fully serviced prior to firing it for the first time. I took the gun to Roy and he turned it around in two days. He was informative, helpful, and straightforward. Needless to say I’ll be going back in the future.

Place is mostly a gun shop and shooting range. I went for tackle and promptly left due to old inventory. This review is only for the tackle side of the store.

First time shooting a semi-auto rifle.The lady behind the front desk was very knowledgeable and helpful. To rent the rifle w/ammo was pennies on the dollar. There was some wolverine second amendment fanatic guy also behind the counter that came off as a douche at first but was really just patriotic and friendly once I you got to know him. Not to mention he was pretty knowledgeable with fishing location and tackle,I give this place a 5/5 .

There are shinier ranges with all the bells and whistles but BBT&G is as old school range and thats what I love about it. Stephanie Oscar and Roy run the place and go out of there way to make things easy and genuinly make you feel welcome. If your looking for a place to brush up this is the spot. Plenty of parking (downtown 1/2 mile from Las Olas) no fuss and easy on the wallet. Five stars Thanks guys

Always wanted to try and get the feel of manipulating a gunThis place is incredibly welcoming and beginners friendly.I felt right away taken care of.Oscar and Christian were knowledgeable, helpful, patient and our first try was a success.I always look for places where it is all about the passion of the job. It is a family type of business.Not a show off place more a place of connoisseur.The luxury is may not there but the assistance to the clients overflow the bling bling you might find somwhere else.Extremely easy to park, great selection of gun, and super training!
