I called with a lot of very detailed questions about their change machines. I do a lot of research before buying equipment, so I needed more information than I could find online. I spoke with a lady in sales, and she was very helpful. She transferred me to Omar in technical support, and he was able to answer my questions in great detail. I took up quite a bit of his time, but he was very patient.This company makes the best change machines in the business. The biggest advantage is that the coin hoppers are on the bottom of the changer, making it much easier to load than some other brands, where the hoppers are at the top and have to be tilted out to fill. This makes a huge difference when you are loading 20-30 pounds of quarters at a time.

Can I give zero stars?! I have two AC 2225s that have been operating at my store for approximately 18 months. Within this 18 months, I have had three coin hoppers fail on me. During my last coin hopper failure, I called and left them voicemails and also emailed American Changer with no response. This has been going on for two weeks and I have still not heard from them. For the previous two hopper failures I requested a return and repair.....this request was ignored. This is completely not acceptable in my opinion. These guys have atrocious customers service and if I could change my machine out for something else I would.

Ive been doing business with American Changer since I bought a car wash a couple of years ago. At first while hard to get hold of they were very helpful.Since the merger with Hoffman mint and Rowe it has been impossible to get help.Last week I wanted to order the newest green stripe hopper. I called and spoke to Roger who was very knowledgeable and got me all the upgrade parts ordered. Note the changer I was working on was 110v and was also being upgraded to 24v. Roger sent me the order information and offered to be of any assistance once I was ready for the install. I called in this morning and while Roger was working with another customer Omar stepped up and helped me get started then gave me his extension. Once I had it all hooked up I called Omar and we powered it up and it is working great.It is great to see American Changer is hiring good technicians to once again help their customers.Thanks Roger and Omar

This company is top notch. They stand behind their products, and customer service is second to none. Roger walked me through the installation of a replacement hopper on an older machine of theirs. He was patient with me and my lack of technical knowledge for over 2 hours! Before this, the machine was bulletproof, and operating in an amusement center for years without a single issue. They are definitely at the top of their game!

Omar was my technician - he was extremely professional and knowledgable. He patiently explained everything I needed to know about my problem and was invaluable in getting my business up and running again - he even followed up with a manual for me to refer to in the future. Excellent service!!!

Someone tried to break in my bill breaker and damaged a lot of parts but luckily they didn’t get any cash.Omar is great, helped me figure out how to remove some parts and try to fix it(which I did fix it and saved me a lot of money).At the same time, Omar tried to get me a rebuilt dispenser so if I couldn’t fix it, he would ship it overnight and save me.Really high level of customer service!!!Thank you again, Omar

I dont believe these 5 star reviews for 1 second, I think they are absolutely fake reviews.And my 3 stars is a bit generous here.I run 4 laundromats. Ive worked with American Changer for 20 years buying parts, changers, and tokens through hoffman mint. For the first 10 or so, my experience was pretty good. The last 10, pretty horrible....and in many different ways. And their recent purchase of Rowe did not help as Rowe (imo) was the absolute worst changer on the market by far. Now, you cant get any tech help on the old Rowe products.The cost cutting at this company has gone way, too, far....building their own knock off coin dispenser bucket that is clearly less quality (ie replacing metal parts with plastic) than the Moneycontrol? (Solid black) brand on the market. Replacing the metal coin cup with plastic. You cant get anyone on the phone for help unless your buying something....and even THEN its hard to get someone on the phone. Messages go unreturned....hollow apology after apology after apology...yawwwwwn.Ive had Rowe, American, Hamilton and Standard....On 3 occasions Ive had American machines jackpot where they just dispense the whole machine of coins, Ive never had this happen on any of my Hamilton or Standard machines.The business model with this company.....making changers simple and with off the shelf parts IS a sound, and good one.But you guys are killing yourself with your poor customer service and cost cutting......I wont buy another American (and certainly not Rowe) changer and when I ask my distributors, they are hearing the same thing from other customers.Gotta get your &*^% together guys.Dave

They were extremely helpful and patient with helping my dad with his laundromat business. He doesn’t speak English very well and they stayed on the phone to help walk him through every single step in reprogramming the change machine, no matter how long it took. They resolved the issue quickly and can’t say enough great things. What a great and wholesome company.

He went above and beyond from start to finish. He was patient, kind, professional, and thoughtful. He never rushed me off the phone, in fact it was the opposite, he encouraged me to test to machine and asked if I was satisfied several times before ending the call. Ive always had good luck with them. Theyre local, so anytime I need anything I can pick up and their tech support folks have always done fine by me. Their machines are fairly priced for what you get. You can get heavier duty changers, but they cost twice as much. Hoppers and bill validators are moving parts, and they need to be cleaned and serviced periodically. If you pay more and get the upgraded versions, they hold up longer. All of their parts are easy to change and swap out. My best advice for AC changers is you should keep a spare validator and hopper for when you do need to have one serviced.

I called and spoke with Christionson and stated I needed coin belts for my changer and was told sorry on back order!!. Who does not stock parts for there own machines!!. I then ordered new hoppers instead at greatly increased cost $600.00 plus to repair my changer that was down. I ordered them early on Monday and needed them shipped same day, Im local so I would receive them the next day, I was told no problem. I called Tuesday as they did not show up and was told sorry we didnt get around to shipping the parts sorry!!. blah blah blah where did the customer service go Im so tired of this.

I own a laundromat and purchased a new American Changer AC2002 about a year ago.The hopper cracked, the first day, where it plugs in because it is so flimsy and cheaply made. Also the machine has always rejected five dollar bills, about 1/3 of the time. And there are so many times it has given the wrong amount of change, sometime to much and sometimes to little, that it makes me wonder how many customers and money I have lost. I contacted the company about the issues within the first 3 months of owning it and they were unfriendly, rude and unconcerned. They acted like I was a bother and stupid. The first time I called I have them the model number and they refused to address any of my concerns because I didnt have the serial number. It just seamed like an excuse to get me off the phone. Anyway I dont think I would buy another product from this company just based on there poor customer service. When you spend thousands on a piece of important equipment and the company acts like your to stupid and unimportant to help then I guess Ill go elsewhere.UPDATE:So sick of the machine rejecting $5 bills I decided to call their support again (about a year later) date is 5/15/17. The open at 8am I called at 8:45am went through menu options and the system said no one can take my call now. The system told me to leave a message so I left a detailed message with the issue and my name and phone number. I waited all day and no one has called me back. The funny thing is after leaving my first negative review I got a call from the company asking if I would remove the review if they agreed to fix my issue. Now a year later and their customer service still sucks.UPDATE: the company has sent me new parts under warranty and they seamed to do the trick.However there are some serious workflow issues in their company. So handling issues through them is stressful and confusing. I dont want to cover the details because Im tired of this issue.Bottom line is I may buy there changers again but Im very concerned with their customer service and return systems. But I do want to thank Lenny at American Changer for the new parts that seem to fix the issues. Only time will tell.

Cheap made products with very expensive replacement parts. Worse customer service, very rude.I dont like to leave negative reviews, maybe this will save someone from the problems i experienced. I have never, i repeat never had an American Changer product that worked well for a long time. I finally got tired of it. replaced all my changers with ones that are actually made in america.

Worst company to work with! Talked to keven and Jason about a Machine that was delivered to me dysfunctional. They stuck me with the repair bill and no follow through on their products. Unless you’re picking up the Machine in person do not buy. They do not cover damages! Their philosophy is once it leaves their warehouse they are not responsible .

I am in Sacramento California and have no ties to this company other than dealing Barbara S. on countless occasions, whom Ive never met, but has never been anything but professional and endearing. ALWAYS. A pleasure to do business with every time. Dont believe these dumbass laundromat clowns that are too inept to know how to operate a changer (its not rocket science). They are likely amateurs that dont know the difference between a quarter hopper and their wives hoo hoo. 👌

I just bought a coin changer (ac2225)with bill recycling feature for my brand new laundromat and it costs +$5,000, very disappointed, most of the time when my customer insert a large bill ($10,$20) it doesnt dispense enough quarters . call the them to fix the issue but they cant really help they have no repair man and refer me to some one else, if they cant fix it then who else ?. I email to their upper management to resolve the issue but they still told me to call one of their employee .Bad product, worst customer service.
