Amazing chocolate store and exceptional customer service. The attendant was really through and patient in explaining everything about their chocolate bars and also their truffles. I wished I lived closer to try out all their flavors!Side note: I do plan on buying their chocolate later on this year when Florida’s temperatures get lower.Definitely recommend to everyone that likes desserts, This place won’t disappoint.

Best chocolate I’ve ever had! I bought a few chocolate bars in their store while I was visiting Fort Collins. The people working at the store were really nice and knowledgeable. I’m not a fan of bitter and acidic chocolate so they directed me the best options best on my tastes. The vanilla oat milk 45% chocolate bar was out of this world! Will definitely be buying more of their chocolate!

Nuance is a very unique bean to bar chocolate factory. I would say to only focus on their single origin dark chocolates - their white chocolate/milk chocolate is not as worth it at the rightfully priced $12 a bar for their unique and well-curated selection. Also, I have been patronized before on more than one occasion by the staff which after multiple experiences as a return customer does impact my opinion of the shop which can have an overall pretentious feel depending on the customer service. Without a doubt, worth it for dark chocolate lovers.

This is hands down my favorite place in FoCo! Toby and crew make the best chocolate in the world. They also have the best customer service, and I find myself there about once a week spending all my money on truffles, bars, and drinks (hello, French Canadian!). My partner and I consider sipping chocolate at Nuance our favorite impromptu date.

If you love dark chocolate, this is THE place to go in FoCo! We have tried the delicious truffles as well as their vast selection of bars. The quality of freshly made chocolate from the best locations in the world is very apparent and I am no chocolate expert. It’s not inexpensive. If you are looking for a real treat for yourself or a chocolate loving friend, it is well worth the price.

My husband & I had a lovely dinner at a nearby restaurant with FRIENDLY staff, even if your mask wasn’t on as you walked out of the restaurant!!! We decided to walk to this little chocolate shop for a simple dessert. As we walked in, my mask was on & my husband was pulling his out of his pocket to put on when “miss charming” behind the counter had no welcoming to us other than “do you have a mask?” Really? With all that is going on in our world, your staff can’t say “hello, welcome” & wait a second for someone to put on a mask!!! No interest in businesses that are acting like this. We walked out immediately.

This is a very unique chocolate shop. Some have said its spendy. Its really not. We had a drinking chocolate even though it was not cold. I had to try it. Very smooth. Was a little bitter when I first tried it. I should have stirred it. It would have been perfect with just a dollop of whip cream on it. We had a tasting flight. This was not what I expected. It was truly educational. It is simple, chocolate direct from cocoa bean and sugar. The beans come from different areas. I posted a picture of one of the tasting menus. Each one absolutely tasted unique. I am excited to drive back and try another one. The tasting flight is $8 for 2 people. If you only want one person the price gets cut in half. I have not tried my truffle yet. Im saving it for tonight. BTW ALL of the chocolate here is made in their own factory. From cocoa bean to the end product. Think Willy Wonka on a real life level.

Seems like Colorado is all about the chocolate life! These guys have taken it to another level. From the truffles, to the bars and even their drinks. Never go here hungry, you will surely walk out broke. There are many different flavors to choose from. Also love that their kitchen is only two blocks away, so if they run out of something, they can proably it back on the floor soon. The staff was wonderful in explaining everything, and very patient with us, we couldnt make up our mind as was to get. Want an interesting twist on dessert, come here!

Full disclosure: I had the pleasure of working for these folks for about 2yrs back in 2014 and I havent worked with anyone quite like them since. Toby and Alix are both exceptionally kind, generous, and intelligent, and deeply devoted to their staff. Best chocolate Ive ever tasted. Their french hot chocolate is to die for, and their bars and truffles all have something unique to offer your palate (my personal favorites are the hazelnut truffles, the snake bite truffle, and almond bars). I purchase all my holiday gifts for loved ones from nuance (by request) and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Theyre the best:)

Make sure you try their sipping chocolate and their amazing chocolate bars too! They are one of a few being the bar companies in the US and their chocolate is some of the best Ive ever had. Whenever we bye chocolate for friends we leave with a double batch for ourselves.

This is one of those places that punches above Ft. Collins’ weight. The chocolate is literally world class. And it’s served with an easy-to-digest education about the subject matter from folks who are, without exception, friendly and knowledgeable. Not to be missed.

Yes it is a small batch chocolate shop, attended by its own owner and part of the city since 50 years ago- we came with high expectations/ but the truth is that all the truffle chocolates we tried tasted the same, so did not felt that awesome for the high price you pay

The truffles at Nuance are among the best Ive tried in my life. I can tell good chocolate truffles, and the big majority of truffles I have tried in the US are terrible. These ones are different. They have just the perfect sweetness and are very smooth on the tongue. I love the variety of fruit/liquor/chocolate combinations. They are worth every penny. Every visitor that comes to town has to try Nuance Chocolate. Its possibly the best place Fort Collins has.

Nuance is the best! I used to live in Fort Collins but have moved away. Whenever my wife and I come back to visit we make sure to stop by. It has NEVER disappointed. The sipping chocolate, the truffles, and the wide variety of chocolate bars are superb.

Oh, wow! We were greeted warmly by a nice young lady who asked if it was our first time inThe shop. When we said yes, she told us about the shop and the chocolate. The French sipping chocolate was superb. Like really, incredibly good. My boyfriend had a “Theo” and coffee that he really enjoyed. The shop is lovely (pretty and smells amazing) and the service was excellent.

Fantastic chocolate. Loved all my experiences with them. And I really appreciate that they care about our health and make sure that people wear masks.

There are only a handful of bean-to-bar chocolate shops in the U.S. Nuance is one of them. This is hands down the best chocolate. They make truffles, bars, and beans. They also sell cacao powder, and a handful of other specialties. They also do frequent collaborations with local distillers.

You need to stop here if youre in Fort Collins! They have tons of different chocolates from cocoa beans from all over the world. They create the chocolate from scratch: bean to bar as it says on their wrappers. The gentlemen who helped us talked to us about the process, the chocolate, the different flavor profiles, and more. You can tell by the way they talked about everything that this is a passion for them and it shows in the quality of their product.

Such an important service in town. Cacao is healing and the way this shop respects the plant and uses and presents it is the best I’ve seen in any storefront. Try the theo brew and notice how you’re mood lifts and anxiety is relieved.

On a grand tour of Wyoming and Colorado chocolatiers, Nuance was far and away the highest quality and tastiest maker of my most favorite of foods. Where the vast majority of these shops simply make their chocolates in house (if that!), Nuance crafts their own bean to bar chocolate, then uses that same chocolate to create giant and absolutely delectable ganache based truffles! The latter were my reason for seeking out Nuance, but once in the shop, I was astounded to see nearly 50 different bars! They have everything from single origin to inclusion or flavored varieties, milk, and even white.I had to try Chantilly Cream, a milk chocolate made with cream instead of milk (!!!), but there were plenty other varieties that caught my attention: glazed coconut, goat milk, coffee and cream, even a whole line infused with whiskies. They also offer bitters, brewing chocolate, various coffees and cocoas, even nibs. I took home a bag of nibs, and have been enjoying them over fruit and yogurt daily. I eat a lot of cacao nibs, and these are some of the best I have had.While their website advertises a limited selection of truffles, in store I had my choice of 20+. I selected six, but had I known what a dream they would be, definitely would have gotten more! As it is, I have sadly finished them within a week! All were stunningly rich and not-too-sweet, but if forced to choose favorites, I would say Peanut Butter, Toasted Almond and Apricot, and Honey & Lavender win Best in Show. Of note, some are even dairy free for your vegan friends!Prices are $8.50 to $12.50 for bars, $3.80 for truffles, and pretty standard to the market for everything else. The humble craft paper box is so sweet and rustic with its crimson raffia bow, and I appreciated the time the employees took to note the variety of each truffle for future reference. There is a little seating outside, and they offer curbside pickup, too. They took social distancing very seriously, only allowing three customers in the store at a time. My only regret was hearing someone order a toffee truffle, and realizing I had somehow missed out on that? How?! I suppose Ill just have to travel back to Colorado sometime to get one. Nuance merits the trip on its own.

When we come through Fort Collins, we always stop here for a visit. The chocolate is very high quality and it is obvious that the staff take great pride in what they do. We will definitely recommend Nuance Chocolate and look forward to our next visit.

Bean to bar is the ONLY way to make chocolate! Im always amazed at the subtle (and not so subtle) differences between various cacao producing regions. I highly recommend doing a single origin taster flight to experience the variety and depth of Nuances chocolates. Their bars and truffles make for excellent gifts and a true taste of Fort Collins.

Nuance is great! Ever since making it part of my regular diet, my stress is down and my health is noticebly more vigorous. Chocolate bar a day keeps the doctor away.I order online, but their interior space is a fun place to go on a date, for a flight of chocolate, or to show people who are visiting from out of town.

Im a huge fan of chocolate and was excited to visit this store. The interior was very upscale and inviting. The staff was helpful and gave an explanation of their process and answered any questions. I ordered an $8 flight to split with my girlfriend and was a bit underwhelmed. The chocolate was great and I appreciated comparing one taste immediately against the others. But it was such a small amount of chocolate for the price. I didnt even inquire about the price of the bars or truffles at that point. Ill just consider myself a lucky chocolate fan that I can buy a large, quality bar of chocolate at a supermarket for about $3 and my cravings are satisfied.
