Cant give zero stars. The kid thats a manager lied about bat return policy. You cant get your money back from them or the manufacturer for a defective bat. And the glove he said fitsme doesnt. Just because I can bend my wrist and it touch my wrist with glove is silly way too size glove. Terrible customer service and the products they sale are cheaply made or complete knockoffs!. Dint waste your money there

Went in looking for a specific item. Young lady at register greeted me, asked if she could help me, then took me back to the location where my item was. Helped me select the necessary product, walked me back to the front to ring up my purchase I was in and out in 2 minutes total!! Great job!

I always find just what I need here. Recently I bought a kayak carrier for my kayak which makes it so much easier to access lakes. It has been so useful to get my boat to the shore. Great products at a reasonable price. Great knowledgeable people!

This is not a very big sporting good store! With that in mind, their selection is quite limited in most areas accordingly! Going so far as to say that with the limits imposed by their store size, most merchandise available will be geared more so for the novice or beginner to recreational type of athletic gear. Depending on the item of choice, one may find it a really good idea to give them a phone call just to make sure they have what youre looking for before making the drive over unless of course you live across the street!

It was a decent experience here. I find some of the prices to be a little too high but it beats fighting the crowd at some of the other sporting good stores. Plus I like going to the Whole Foods next door so its quite convenient just to pop in here so its worth the extra money in my opinion.

Hey dont tell me you dont have a bathroom for my little 3 year old to use. Then rephrase and say I cant let you use it. I left my cart and purchased nothing. Will never be back. Pathetic you cant assist a fellow human to use the restroom.

First time I went to this store and I was very impressed. They have a great selction of outdoor gear and clothes, sporting goods, and shoes. The prices are far better than most stores that carry the same items. Several hiking and sports shoes with great names and under $40. I will be making this a regular store I shop in.

Staff is friendly, if somewhat hands off, and always willing to locate things when asked. The selection of sporting goods is quite good, especially given the size of the store, and the prices and sales are very competitive. This is a low key place to shop, not a lot of hassle, and fun to just browse as well.

Awesome weekly deals. clearance and overall prices blow any other competitor away my wife found awesome kids toys. kites and rc cars half the price of Wal-Mart and much better quality as well was in on 4/20 to get some hiking boots could not believe the quality for $19 I saw mens hi-tek hiking boots for $60 that are $150 at boot barn these employees were great the manager as well she was absolutley awesome very clean store felt very safe to shop well never go elsewhere fyi any fishermen i saw an shakespeare open face rod and reel combo today for $20 as I am an aviid fisherman & colorado native I know just the reel alone is more then twice that at amazon why would anybody go anywhere else thanks again guys see ya soon ☆☆☆☆☆

Stood at the gun counter for 30 minutes and the two young adults up at the register never offered to help. To busy talking about tik tok and video games. I gave up and left without purchase.

Good prices. I bought some very comfortable hiking shoes for half the price of Keens and more comfortable plus the soles are made by Goodyear and a great inner sole.

I like the store because they let you shop on your own They will ask if you need help but theres no pressure sales.

We go here often for family shoes, it is a hit or miss with staff willingness to help. Their prices are fair. We do like this store.

Big 5 covers sporting goods from tennis to football, skating, hockey and much more. Prices are reasonable and clothing styles up to date. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful and the overall shopping experience enjoyable.

Thank you for not politicalizing something like hunting like Walmart decided to. My goto place in town for any sporting goods. Way better then Dicks and anything else in city limits

Had a customer service issue that required a supe or mgr. When I called, the rep who took the call immediately recognized the situation & transferred the call to the mgr on duty. No run-around, no guessing - just immediate good service. Since I wouldnt be in the store until after that mgr left, she gave instructions to the next on-duty mgr who handled the situation seamlessly. Thank you, Kaylene, Vicky & Melissa (sorry I didnt get the phone reps name) - you all are great. Good communication & effortless customer service is rare these days. Glad you were all on-shift when I needed help.

Worst customer service ever. Went in and browsed for shoes for 20 minutes and was ingnored while 2 employees tossed a ball around nearby. The store was dead. Never once did these gentlemen ask us if we needed help. When I approached them for help, one said, “sorry, I’m about to go on break.” Then proceeded to walk away laughing. The other young man then facetiously asked if he could help. I then went to a manager. She was awesome. Took us back helped us, offered her discount. Saved the sale. We then took our items up to the register. We were greeted by another manager. This manager made me tell the entire story over again while the employees that were tossing the ball around stood behind her smiling, shaking their heads, arms crossed. This manager denied the discount that her comanager had offered. We left without shoes. So unprofessional. So incredibly rude. I will never step foot in that store again.

I can always count on Big 5 Sporting Goods to have what I need for my childrens last minute sports gear emergencies. I really appreciate having them located in mid Town Fort Collins.

I really liked this store for its prices and options once upon a time, unfortunatly the last 2 times Ive been In I have found their service severely lacking. Today I stood at the gun counter for about 15 minutes waiting for someone to help me with a pair of binoculars behind the counter. No one ever came, and although I walked the store after, the only person who appeared to be working there was 1 girl ringing people up. Save yourself the frustration and wasted time, just drive 10 minutes north to Jax.

Of the two womens soccer cleats they carry (next to a wall of 15-20 mens cleats) neither had a price on them and when I asked for a price and size the guy helping me just dissapeared for 20 minutes and I finally got help asking another guy for help about a half hour in.

I had a $50 gift card that I wanted to use towards a baseball mit. I shopped initially online, but then came into the store, because baseball gloves are one of those things that I like to see and try on in person before buying. I came into the store and no one greeted me (despite three employees being at the front counter chatting with each other). I found the baseball gloves and began browsing, but to my dismay there was no pricing or product information displayed on the racks. Instead of having each type of glove on a separate rack, they were all mixed around. In other words, one rack might have three different gloves on it and the only way to see the back one was to pull all three off the rack. I had to pull each glove down one at a time and search for the little tag just to find out the size, price and material. Many gloves did not clearly specify what they were made out of either. I looked through about 20 or 30 gloves, many of which turned out to be duplicates. As I looked at the wall of gloves, I realized that I had no way of knowing if there were any still up there that I had not already seen or if they were all duplicates of ones Id already looked at. Id been looking for 30 minutes and still no one had come to assist me, though the store was fairly dead. I went and found someone to assist, but she did not really seem to know anything about their glove materials or their general inventory. She started pulling the gloves off the wall and reading the tags to me one at a time. Umm...thanks, I can read the tags on my own. I looked for a while longer and eventually decided that the only way I was really going to be able to sort through the chaos was to shop online. I went home, pulled up the website and continued searching. I found several options, but when I tried to see if they were available at the Fort Collins store it told me I had to call the store for availability...for every glove. I guess it makes sense that they wouldnt actually know which ones they had since they were totally disorganized at the store. Then I figured Id just buy one online and hope for the best....but, oh wait, Big 5 apparently has not heard of online purchasing. The only option was to buy in store. I knew I didnt want to go back and spend another hour sorting through all their gloves, so I called the store to ask them if they had a particular glove in stock. The gave the name of the glove to the girl on the phone and after a short pause (and without getting the SKU# from me) she informed me that they did not carry that particular glove. I informed her that the website said they did carry it, but it did not say if they had any in stock or not. She said hold on a minute and the next thing I knew there was a man on the phone asking how he could help me. I informed him that the girl was looking up a glove for me, to which he responded that she was not, but he could help me. Ummm, that was weird. I guess I was too much trouble for her. Anyway, I started over with this guy, but this time he asked for the SKU. He said they did carry it and he thought it was in stock. I asked him to make sure for me. He hesitated, then told me hed have to call me back. Im sure he didnt want to try to look through the chaotic wall of baseball gloves any more than I did. After about 20 minutes he called back and said hed found the glove. I went back to the store and bought it and it worked out....but what an unbelievable hassle to go through just to shop for a baseball glove at a sporting goods store. As a retailer, the only advantages a store like this has over online shopping on sites like Amazon are customer service, employees knowledge of products, quick hands on buying. This store struck out on all three categories. I would not have purchased anything from them if I did not have the gift card to spend.
