I live on the road. As such, I am dependent upon service centers occasionally.I found myself in need of some exhaust work. I went in, after being referred by an auto parts store, and let them know what I needed.One of the employees cheerfully greeted me and asked what I needed. After describing a piece of custom exhaust to correct a problem that I was having, he went out and made the piece I needed.One of the frustrations that many people have, myself included, about an auto service center, is whether or not you can have confidence that you are getting the appropriate service for a fair price.While I waited for my custom work to be done, I was able to listen to a couple of telephone conversations, and a couple of walk-in customers. The consistency of the answers and the cheerfulness of the delivery reinforced to me that this would be a place that I would come to if I needed work.They offer a full range of automotive services as well as exhaust work. They are fully staffed and have several bays for automotive work.When it comes down to your automobile, what you want is the confidence of trust. My interaction, those short, gave me confidence that this would be a place that I would come back to to have my vehicle worked on.The lobby had many chairs for automotive service while you wait, and was large and airy. It smelled clean. It was clean.Though I am just traveling through, I hope my interaction and this review might give you confidence to give these folks a visit for your automotive repair needs.Greg

My tire was flat and I was in a time crunch and Eric from Fort Collins Muffler was happy to help even though it was five minutes until they closed. He helped fill my flat tire and was very friendly, helpful and informative. I will definitely come back to to them for any more of my car needs.

I commute to Denver daily, and was having some car issues. Gave them a call and was able to get my car in and worked on in a great time. They were unable to get some parts in time, but they were waiting on the delivery guy. Other than the delivery guy being slow, there work and knowledge was phenomenal! These guys are awesome, especially Ryan and the gentleman that helped me today. I was trying to change my plates this morning and had a screw that was completely stuck inside of the piece of plastic that holds the screw, I was going to strip it if I kept trying to pull it myself. I called this morning and thegentleman working didn’t hesitate to help me get the screw out so I could get my plates changed. They helped me out in seconds and made my morning so much easier!

FOCO Muffler & Auto are amazing! They send out promotional flyers for oil changes and do a whole diagnostic on your vehicle for free with a $20 oil change. They are so thorough and helpful and only want the best for your vehicle. I came in to get an oil change and also asked if they could identify a noise my car was making and they found it so quickly, they didnt charge me for it! So grateful for the help and care they have for the vehicles that are in their shop.

Had to replace all four brakes and rotors and this place did great. Got my vehicle back pretty quickly and prices seemed reasonable. Will continue to come back.

I did not end up going through them for my mufflers due to the scheduling being so far out, but if that isnt something to say about how good they are then I dont know what is, Ive had lots of friends say they do amazing work and Ive seen it personally it always looks fantastic

We were traveling through Fort Collins on a Friday morning and concerned about a brake squealing sound heard the night before. After being turned down by numerous other shops, we had the good fortune of calling Fort Collins Muffler and Automotive. They got our car in immediately and assured us that we would be treated fairly, and so we were. After examining the brakes, they determined that (a) the pads were only about half worn, and (b) the squealing sound must have been from debris and was not a safety issue. They only charged $20 for this inspection and we were back on our way! This is a fantastic business and you will not go wrong having them work on your vehicle, I assure you!

They were very busy, but took the time to get me in and look at the problem. They found the drain plug was loose and fixed it and got me on my way. No charge! I went in for a muffler inspection, was shown to a comfy waiting room and told within twenty minutes or so that they could perform the repair immediately. I was in and out in about an hour with a new muffler and repaired tailpipe for well below the average cost for a late model sedan. Very happy with the experience, Ill definitely be stopping back.

I have been going to Fort Collins Muffler and Automotive for all my cars needs for the past 3 years. I have a 1995 Toyota, so it’s helpful to have a reliable place to help keep it on the road for a couple more years. The staff are always kind and patient while explaining things to me. My dad used to be a mechanic, and he used to do all the work on my car when I lived in New Jersey. Now that I’m in Colorado, he is relieved that he doesn’t have to worry about me being scammed into paying for unnecessary work. He tells me every time that I go in to tell Melissa and Aaron that he loves them. I highly recommend this shop and appreciate all they have done to help me out over the years!

I will go to this place from now on if there is anything wrong with my car. I’ve only lived in Fort Collins for a year and I didn’t know where to get it fixed when all of a sudden my little G6 sounded like a diesel truck. My muffler/exhaust pipe broke off during a road trip. I called in and they said they could take a look and advise me on what to do. They brought me back and showed me the truck on the lift, offered a cheaper patch solution as well as potential for replacing the whole thing.I had them replace the whole thing and they got it done in just a few hours. Highly recommend them. They were very accommodating and offered me a lift into town while the truck got worked on. (Although there is a nearby park connected to a trail system that is quite lovely)I even payed less than the initial assessment, which has NEVER happened to me at a mechanic before. Theyll get your vehicle assessed and fixed up fairly.

Warning: this is a lengthy review but there is a good reason why. This is hands down the best company for auto repairs in Fort Collins. I have utilized their services a couple times now and have always walked out feeling happy and confident with the condition of my car. I took my car in Sunday night (utilizing the drop box service) for a water pump repair and a few other services and got it back Tuesday morning before 10 AM which was quicker than I expected. They offer very reasonably priced services and offer you the recommended services for your car at that time, but do not try to sell you on a non-immediate service if you decline, are very open with why they recommend that service at that time, and will work with you to understand any issues with your vehicle. At places like Jiffy Lube or even at my dealership, I’ve had them repeatedly ask me if I want a specific service that I know isn’t essential for me to get at that time, even when I say no along with a seemingly lack of respect for me as a customer. Fort Collins Muffler & Automotive is not that way at all and treat customers with kindness, understanding and respect and will explain things in an understandable manner if you don’t understand what is going on with your vehicle. When getting service here I feel extremely valued as a customer and any question I have or request will not go unanswered. If you need auto service, I strongly recommend reaching out to this local, family owned, wonderful business!

I decided to check out a local business with my AAA 20 point winter inspection deal...$5 instead of $45... cool 😎. They were fun to talk to, answered my questions and overall satisfied with the inspection and I decided to let them do what was needed. They were quick and reliable. I will definitely be back with my car. I love supporting the little guy instead of Big corporations that have killed the variety of mom and pop enterprises. Always appreciate honest work ☺️.

Access panel fell down underneath my car and Aaron came out and fixed it for me without charging me anything at all! Everyone was really friendly. Have gotten my A/C fixed here in the past and the repair was great!!

My check engine light came on and I took my car here after calling two other places for quotes on the diagnostic test. They assured me theyd cap it at $105 (which they did), $25-50 cheaper than the other two places I called. Their testing was very thorough. Unfortunately there was more wrong than I hoped, but Melissa was very kind and talked me through all the issues, all the repairs needed, and helped me prioritize which ones to tend to immediately and which ones I can take care of later. Melissa was incredibly patient with all my questions, and it truly seemed like she really cared and wanted to help out. Very different from most other experiences Ive had when getting work on my car. This is the kind of shop I wish every other shop was like. I’ve come to these guys twice, for a catalytic converter replacement and new front wheel bearings and hubs. Both on a 2010, Audi A4. Neither of these jobs are cheap or easy for the technician. Both times, I was surprised by the value, the speed and the quality of the work. Aaron is a great guy and is always looking out for people’s safety and people’s wallets. For any big job, I will always come to these guys.

It was very convenient because I lived only about a mile away, but now I have moved to Berthoud and still driving all the way back there because they are the best and take care of me and my Tundra! We were very fortunate that my college student took her Honda Odyssey to Fort Collins Muffler & Automotive for an oil change and tire rotation. Melissa informed her that two studs on a wheel were broken, and importantly, that the damage had to be from the studs being cross-threaded when a rotation was done elsewhere previously. As a result, I was able to discuss the issue with the Firestone store in our home town, and the repair fee of over $400 was waived at a local shop. We were very pleased at the care that was taken at Fort Collins Muffler & Auto to make sure my daughter was not driving an unsafe vehicle, as well as the honesty in identifying the cause of the problem rather than going ahead with the expensive repair for their own financial benefit. Melissa could not have been more pleasant in helping us from the repair side to towing. Even the AAA towing dispatcher came back on the phone with me to declare what a nice lady! I couldnt agree more. We are very grateful, and recommend their service for honesty, quality and price.

Naturally the day before we are to leave for our 1000 mile drive to our new home I had a problem with my exhaust system. I showed up at 7:30AM without an appointment and Aaron squeezed me in to check out the problem. The person who looked at it, Todd, brought me back into the shop and showed me what was going on. Bottom line, it was not a problem and I could leave the next day without worrying about a breakdown. I ended my text letting him know I had no expectations of a response until business Monday. Nope! He text me back immediately and wished me a wonderful weekend. Im sorry. I met Melissa two years ago while she was running front of the house for one of Fort Collins largest Diesel and Semi truck Maintenance and Service. I was already a customer here. They replaced the catalytic converters on my 2002 Subaru outback very quickly. They had the part there within a day and they had the vehicle out within a couple of hours but the work was not rushed and was done professionally and properly and passed emissions immediately! They did a professional exhaust job faster than a Subaru dealership for a grand less, I highly highly recommend this shop! 10/10

Went in for emissions repair. Outrageous mark up on parts (1000% in the case of an oxygen sensor). Anybody with 5 minutes and internet access can see how badly the prices are inflated. Not only are the parts marked up, the actual maintenance is not fairly priced.The thing that really irritates me here though, is that the car went in running with no visible problems, and after the maintenance, the car has an egregious oil leak. The car literally starts smoking from burning oil every time it is run. The oil pressure drops considerably each time it is run, and after it is shut down a large pool of oil forms under the engine in less than 5 minutes. I have been a mechanic for almost a decade, and I took in the car because I didnt have time to work on it, but I know from experience that large problems like this never coincidentally happen after large maintenance jobs, it is always a technician who did something wrong.So now, I still have no time to work on the car and have to pay to repair the damage done by the technicians at this shop.two stars because it passed emissions, but only after $3000 of work, for a job that should have cost half that at most, and having to repair the car due to poor work done at this shop.

Great service! Highly recommended! My truck was showing a computer code that a large leak had been detected in the vapor recovery system. Another shop gave me a $400 estimate to fix it. I went to Fort Collins Muffler & Automotive for a second estimate. Aaron suggested I replace the aftermarket locking gas cap with an OEM one from the dealer before spending money on repairs. The new gas cap ($30) fixed the problem. The check engine light disappeared and the truck has been running fine. Thanks very much to Aaron. I will definitely be using them for any future vehicle repair needs.

These guys are the best. Treated me with patience and respect as well as enthusiasm from the workers for cars. I had them build my 1975 chevy c10 an exhaust and could not be happier with the note it produces now. A wailing shrieking performance exhaust that flows great is what I asked for and I got exactly that. Not only did they nail it with the quality and and personability, they also only took around 3 hours to build the whole system.

They squeeze us in when we had an emergency situation while we were traveling. are windshield wiper motor went out on us it was snowing we could not see they fit us in. The work they did was done very quickly and efficiently and courteously. They informed us of their prices all the way around all the way down the line. Their prices were fair and reasonable. Not only was everyone here very kind and accommodating, but the notes from my car’s inspection and the diagnosis were extremely clear! They detail what they do in a way that makes sense, and even include photos in the summary report! It makes a huge difference to feel that you can fully trust a mechanic. This place is the bomb. They are honest and really helped me get a good whole picture of what my car needed. Being mechanically inclined and able to do most things by myself they helped me get done what I couldnt! They guided me in the right direction to get done what needs to get done with my vehicle despite whether they are doing the work or not themselves! Wonderful service all around! They took the nightmare out of what is a typical visit to the mechanic shop. I left feeling good about the work they did and not feeling like I was taken advantage because they fixed what needed to be fixed!

These guys are so great! They performed a full inspection with pictures and walked me through what work my car needed, could use, and what wasn’t necessary, but would be helpful. They did only the work I specifically asked for and even let me use a loaner car so I could still get to work and such. Definitely recommend!
