RMW is a reliable go-to place for VW bus/vans in Colorado and surrounding areas. It has been in the business for decades and their mechanics are top notch. I have purchased many upgrades for my 89 Westy there, including a rebuilt transmission install. Van owners are lucky to have them in the region. Mike cares about his customers and sometimes hosts customer gatherings.
I have known Mike and his brother for about 12 years. They have always exceededmy expectations with impeccable work on all my European cars; VW VAN,PORSCHE, BMW and MINI.Why go anywhere else ?Patrick B
Great down to earth folks. Willing to work with you on hard to find diagnostics. They buck the trend of the impersonal world, and sincerely care about the Westy culture. In a way they embody the spirit of the van, to be uniquely excellent. They are a Westy oasis in the middle of the country.
We had our vanagon converted to a Subaru engine here and now my husband has fallen in love with this shop. I feel like we should become stock investors for all we have bought from them. Clean shop. Professional service.
The guys at Rocky Mountain Westy are fantastic. They really know their stuff and work hard to get you back on the road quickly. I was about to head out for a week long trip with my Westy when my fuel pump started buzzing loudly. I called them up and they got me in and out on a Friday morning with a new fuel pump and filter. Running smooth again and Im off on my trip. Thanks guys.
This place rocks! Not only do they have the best quality Parts in town for my VW, they have some nice upgrades for it as well. Saving some money for their stainless steel exhaust system and hopefully a transmission by next summer. Love their carrot Wheels on the Vanagon. Get many compliments all the time. Thanks guys
Just called them asking about an install for a propex heater. Spoke to Josh the mechanic. After going thru pricing and such, and explaining I didnt know how to exactly install one, and him informing me they were 3-4 weeks out. I said thank you for your time I will call he abruptly hung up on me. I didnt even finish my sentence, which was going to acouple of other shops to see if they are available, then Ill call back if they are not to set up an appointmentvery rude to just hang up on a interested customer.Considering it just snowed ALOT and I am currently living in my bus. That was absolutely uncalled for.
Great group of guys. They sure know their stuff.
Dropped our 86 Vanagon off for new motor. Mark answered all of our questions, didnt sugarcoat anything, wasnt a hippie who thinks VWs are a religion and gave us a full tour of the shop. These guys are smart and stand by their work. Based on correspondence and our visit, this is the place to bring your van and get it fixed right.
RMW is an awesome shop to get work done to your Vanagon! I had to get some repairs done before my trip back to NJ, and they got me right in! Everyone that works here is super nice and willing to help in every way possible! Mark, Mike and Josh definitely made my visit enjoyable and will definitely coming back for a tune-up!Thanks again Rocky Mountain Westy!
1st experience - Mike made shop time for me the day I arrived in Colorado and installed their Go Westy compatible bull bar. 2nd experience - Installed the SS exhaust and love it! I can feel a performance difference. Thanks for the great service and quality install.
Life savers. Thanl you
I am from South Africa and requested some information from Mark Sanson regarding a Subaru conversion. The feedback and assistance I received was outstanding and greatly appreciated. Kudos to you and RMW.
I bought my first VW Syncro in December 2013 and RMW has been a great partner in keeping it running. They fixed the cooling/timing issues we had with its SVX engine. Then they fixed all our CVs and axels. We added some new RMW bumpers and love how we can haul our motorcycles and pull our raft. This month, they put in a new H6 engine and mounted a solar panel for aux power. Our van wouldnt be nearly as awesome without Mike and Rocky Mountain Westy!
Went looking to a competent VW outfit here in Ft Collins to do work on my 87 Waterbox Van. Thought these guys were out of business? Not the sort of outfit I could recommend. Brought in a Vangon for simple bearing replacement, electric window adjustment, radiator flush and got back a wobbly wheel, two badly adjusted windows sans wiring boots, and the electric radiator fan only has a single stage? I dont know how they get by with the Go-Westy tradename? They are not anywhere near those VW-pros IMHO.
Vanagon experts. Good customer service, friendly staff.
