My cars steering wheel has been experiencing an issue with slack or play so I decided to take it to Schwab to get it fixed. I was told the issue was because the front alignment was loose and it would correct itself after they do the alignment. So I spent 400.00 for an alignment and new tires (because they said they were worn) only to find that the issue was not corrected.So, I set a time to bring it back. The tire tech (I think his name was Tommy) approached me with a demeaning attitude and seemed upset because I brought it back and then told me the problem was in the steering column and I should go somewhere else to get if fixed. Heexpressed no interest in continuing the conversation so I left. I guess these guys think they can do whatever they want and customers will have to like it without realizing they are destroying their credibility with customers like me who will never go back there for anything again, and thats ok.

If I could make this the worst review ever I would. I simply went in to have them bleed my brakes. With brand new breaks on.. when they were done, my brakes barely worked. Also they were squealing very loud. Absolutely unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this Les Schwab for simple general maintenance.

On 3/17/21 I came in to get my brakes done and anything else my car needed. In the end it was about $700. I’m not a car guy so I expected everything was done correctly and trusted them. Everything seemed to be working but the brakes had some air to them. I didn’t think much of it but two months later I’m driving to Arizona from Oregon and my brakes go out in the middle of a intersection. I had to let the car just ride out while I pushed on the e brake until I was able to get somewhere safe. I had no idea what was going on since I had just fixed my brakes and paid a ton of money.This was on 5/17/21. I ended up calling a mechanic on my way to AZ because I was stranded in California. The guy working on my car said my car had no brake fluid and the brakes needed to be bleeded. I had to pay for the service there which was fine but when I looked at my invoice for Les Schwab I was charged $99.99 for “Brake fluid & bleeds” when it was never done! Terrible terrible. I could have been killed for a poor job! People have always told me to stay away from companies like this since it’s a big chain and now I know why!

I have been a customer for 20+ years and while I dont go here for my own cars anymore I will say that changes at this location have probably led me to why I stopped coming here. I dont think they like ever taking responsibility for damage they create and reading through reviews it makes me believe that not every customer with damage can be wrong. I know that in the past they denied damaging something that my mechanic had replaced a couple of weeks prior but we were getting out of the car and didnt want to deal with the stories coming from every party.I think I will continue to look for other places to take family members cars for tires and service. I have stopped myself and instead go to Costco for tires or my dealership for an alignment. Im not sure if its the move from a family owned smaller company to one that is owned by an investment firm but it seems like the change in 20 years has been slow but noticeable. I think there is a need for them in the community but a change should be made to get them back to what they were built on. Customer first and amazing customer service.

Took my SRT Durango here to Gratteris Forest Grove to have my alignment fixed after the Les Schwab in Tillamook messed it all up. Chris was extremely knowledgeable about the SRT and how to do a proper alignment on it. He told us things we had no clue about. He was able to get the Factory Specs directly from Dodge and completely reset and fix my suspension, camber, caster, & toe on my vehicle even going as far to look into & help us reset our camera sensor for the lane assist that was no longer working properly after the Tillamook Les Schwab had messed up my alignment so bad. My vehicle is sitting correctly again, handling and driving better than it ever has all thanks to Chris! I cant say Thank you enough:) Really, Chris & everyone here went above & beyond to help us. Highly recommend these guys. We will be coming here from now on. Thanks again to Chris & the team here. You guys are truly great at what you do.

Forest Grove Les Schwab is one of the few shops I know I can trust and by far the best. ****UPDATE 5/7/2021...this shop, and all of the employees, are the absolute best in the business. The really cool part is it has been the same, steady, reliable and high quality shop since i was a kid coming here with my Father more than 40 years ago now. I trust them with all my vehicles and every service they offer. Undeniable the BEST!!! Thank you to the entire crew at Forest Grove Les Schwab. David !! Double Kudos !! I came in today to get my tires rotated every 4,000 miles and because I had a bad wobble at high speeds in my front passenger side tire because of an imbalanced tire which they wouldnt admit from 2 months ago when they removed a nail. I know this because I work at a dealership with a tire shop and everything. On top of Les Schwab not rotating my tires the one tire was too warn to be safe which kinda is the reason I came in to get it fixed! So I didnt get anything done and on top of that they bent my brand new spare key. The guy said oh I got it off of the board like this I dont know what happened to the key before I got it. He wouldnt admit to having anything to do with messing up my key. For everyone to know the key was on a lanyard. I knew exactly what happened, he stepped on the lanyard while the key was still in the ignition and bent the key. He only offered to try and straighten the key out, but we all know if you do that the key will probably break off in the ignition in the future. Costing a lot of money for a new ignition. Im so beyond pissed. I live walking distance from this place and I go for convenience. Ive been going here for years, and these last few times Ive gotten bad service, I will no longer going here, theyve lost my business and everyone in my house hold, we own 3 cars.Sincerely,Ex-loyal customer.

I had a bizarre experience a few days ago. Went in for a tire rotation even though it seemed busy. After waiting for a bit I went up to the counter just to see how much longer it might be. I wasnt in a hurry or anything. While I was up there I saw a guy talking to the manager (I did not catch the managers name but is a balding man) trying to get a flat repair. They would not repair it because he did not buy the tires at their store. This guy even offered to pay for a repair but the manager refused. When the guy eventually left, I was shocked to see the manager give the guy the middle finger just below the counter as he was walking out! He then told one of the girls at the counter to make sure they added some note to his account so he wouldnt ever get service again. It was just so weird. I would have left right then but they were already taking the tires off my car. Definitely never going back. I cant believe a store manager would treat someone like that behind their back?

I bought a brand new truck that the dealer put offroad wheels and tires on. They also included the stock wheels and tires. I ran the stockers all winter and when the nice weather rolled around I wanted to switch out for the nicer wheels and tires. Les Schwab in forest grove refused to change them over for me because they werent the stock tire size and since I didnt buy them from Les schwab, they would not swap them over. I clarified with the lady on the phone that there was no mount/balance needed, the wheels came front he dealership this way, and I just wanted wheel/tires swapped over. I also reiterated to her that I was willing to pay to have them switched over but she still refused. Im very disappointed that the service at Les Schwab has gone down hill. I took my truck to discount tire and paid $50 to have the wheels swapped over. I will be doing my business with them from now on.

I had a nail in my tire and needed to get it removed and patched. I brought my tire in at 3:30pm and they told me it would be ready any time before 6pm, when they closed. No one called to tell me it was ready and so I went back at 5:35pm to see if it was ready and it was. There were no other cars they were working on and no other customers there. I asked them to help me put the tire on because I didn’t want to keep driving around on my spare. They told me they didn’t want to because they had other things to do. I was then told that I could try and make an appointment for later in the week. I asked them if they were serious that they wouldn’t help me and that I couldn’t make a different appointment because of my work schedule and needed to quit driving on my spare. They would not help. The man just shrugged his shoulders and said “sorry”.A different employee then loaded the tire into my car and told me that they “thought about helping me but it was close to closing time”. It was 5:40pm at that time, 20 minutes before closing. I was extremely frustrated and disappointed that I had to then make it home and figure out how to get my tire changed on my own, in the dark. It was horrible service and I know it only would have taken a few minutes to help.

Today I went in to have my tire fixed, I had a nail in it. I appreciated the quick service and friendly customer service. But, this is not the basis of my five star review. My review is to commend the team for their diligence in enforcing face coverings. Customer service is difficult enough and to add enforcing something that not everyone agrees with the icing on top. As a healthcare professional I commend this team they are doing a great job and I will be back!

Well like the tires but seems like every time I have my tires rotated they break a wheel stud or say they need to. I don’t even take my tires off my car so they are the only one’s who touch’s them. I guess you have to make extra money somehow.

The wait for service was short, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I really like that they will print out quotes for you. I was getting quotes for new tires, and at another tire store, I had to write down prices on paper, in this case on the back of one of pages I got from Les Schwab.

The whole Forest Grove branch is amazing. But in particular thank you to Carlos today. My HHR had a flat and I needed it done in a ridiculous amount of time at 4 pm. I had to get it done quick to make it to a doctors appointment over an hour away. They were so helpful and worked as fast as they could. I was able to make it on time to their great work. I even got an estimate for Tires and Brakes while I waited that was better than I expected.

Went for front brake pads. I already had an estimate from them and another place from the day before where both thought the new rotors would probably not be needed. We got a call later saying they had already done the front rotors and that the back brakes (1mm left) needed to be done immediately with back rotors and we needed an alignment. The same shop had checked the alignment about 10 days before and it was okay. I told them no way.They did call back a couple of minutes later and said they were wrong on the rear brakes (5mm left) which totally agreed with other estimates and that the alignment didnt need to be done.That did not make feel good about the front rotors. I did discuss the front rotors with a more senior mechanic but we agreed to disagree if they needed to be replaced based on the rotor thickness left. He did offer to reinstall the old ones, but by that point I just wanted to done with them.This is unfortunate since I had always had good tire service from them previously.

I needed new brake pads. They tried selling me a whole new rear brake system. What should have been $100 fix at most was quoted for a $700 “must fix immediately” problem. Incredibly disappointed. You always hear about shady mechanic shops but I would have never thought this place in little ‘ol forest grove would be one of them. Never going back.

Since we couldnt buy and get two tires mounted in Aloha, we went to Forest Grove Les Schwab and they were so accommodating and didnt even have to wait long to have two new tires bought and mounted. They were also medium busy compared to the Aloha store that didnt have many customers. I wonder why? Thankyou Forest Grove Les Schwab!

I went to this Les Schwab with a flat tire. They didnt have a tire to put on my truck. Had to order it. I was told that it would take until 2 or 3 pm to get the tire. I called another tire shop and found a tire that they were willing to deliver. But Les Schwab wouldnt mount the tire.So if you want help DONT GO TO ANY LES SCHWAB TIRE SHOP EVER! They suck!

Tommy and the crew did a fantastic job on my breaks and suspension. The suspension I didnt even realize had gotten so bad. I floated in on a cloud to work this morning and could see the average miles per gallon gage on my dashboard stay a couple of miles more per gallon than usual. It truly feels like a new car again. I live in South Carolina and, in full disclosure, I have never bought a tire here. But my daughter is a student at Pacific Univ. A rear tire on her car was losing air on a regular basis. She was very anxious about what to do.She went here out of necessity. She was nervous about being a young female and possibly being taken advantage of.They took her car in. It was a nail (which is what I had suspected). They repaired the tire. They didnt try to sell her a new tire that she didnt need. And I was blown away when she reported to me that they did not charge her. They explained to her that it was an easy fix & not to worry about it.As a dad on the other side of the country, I certainly appreciated their honesty & their professionalism.Thank you.

I accidentally clicked the wrong star rating... Changed from 4 to 2.They get two stars because they sell a good product.I was quoted $60 to swap my studded tires to the rims and have them mounted. They performed the job in about an hour and a half and rang me up at $100.Totally unapologetic, the lady that helped me says, I didnt know you had 18s. I said thats odd, and asked whats the difference? She told me that it uses a different machine and takes more time.She didnt apologize for the misquote nor offer compensation, just charged me an extra $40 which kind of felt like she could care less that she made an error.Ive been coming here intermittently for about 12 years and every, single, time, theres an issue. A cracked rim after swapping out tires, a wrong price, a ridiculously long wait, the wrong chains for my vehicle... Its literally every time I come here. My wife has had slightly better luck.With the other tire store in town closing, Les Schwab is my only local option.I dont know why I keep coming back. Ive spent thousands of dollars here over the years.Ill be travelling outside of the Forest Grove/Cornelius area in the future for my tire needs.

My appointment was at 2pm. I called four days previously to make the appointment, I told them I would be waiting for the car to be finished. I showed up to appointment 30 minutes early and they were under the impression I was leaving my car for FOUR hours. I told them that I had specified I was going to be waiting for the car. I sat in the lobby until right before closing waiting for my car. Was very disappointed in the lack of customer service. Many people who came in after me left before I did. They also quoted me over the phone for brakes. I asked them for a quote for both front and back brakes and I was told $266. Once they took a look at my car, the $266 was just for the rear alone. Had to pay almost double what I expected to pay because the person I spoke to when I made the appointment didnt know what they were doing. Nice people but poor service. Im normally satisfied with Les Schwab but not today.

When I had my winter tires switched over at Tire Factory to my all seasons purchased from this Les Schwab, Tire Factory stated the tires were no good and needed replaced. The tires only have 10,000 miles on them as I rarely drive this vehicle so I was quite surprised to learn this. I do rotations and such. However, when I took the vehicle to Les Schwab, they stated the tires still had 30% tread left. Well, the car has been shaking at 55mph so I hadnt driven it since. I took it to Discount Tires yesterday to get them inspected and they said the tires have dangerously low tread and this is the cause of the shaking. Les Schwab put my familys life at risk stating the tires still had good tread so they would not have honor the warranty. On another note, I had suspension work done at the same Les Schwab and the parts failed 1-1/2 years later. Royal Moore Nissan said the part quality they use is inferior. I will never use a Les Schwab again. Learn from my mistake - use OEM parts and dont buy tires from them.

Had appointment to get a quote for exhaust, cat back. Everyone was friendly and willing to help me out. Was told it would be about $400 for the work, I didnt really want to spend that at the time so I was told they could cut it in for $150. I figured that would be ok, thinking they would throw some pipe adapters in and save me from crawling under there and doing it myself. But that wasnt the case. Not impressed with the quality of work. And ended up doing it myself after all.

I cannot say enough about the great service I received at the Forest Grove Les Schwab. I recently had my tires rotated and unfortunately, later that day I noticed there was a weird vibration and my tire gage came on. So I responded to a customer satisfaction survey explaining what had happened. The next day I got a call from the mananger Roman telling to come in and they’ll make it right. I came in later that day and didn’t have to wait in line at all. They even checked my battery for free and fixed tire pressure problem. Such great service. So grateful to know they care!

I did a review about a year ago and thought I would post an update: this time I decided to give it 1 stars as apposed to my 4 stars last year...the place is nice enough, with a free coffee and popcorn machine, rest rooms are clean and a they have tv while you wait....so why do I only give them 1 star, I here you ask. Well I had a knocking noise on my vehicle when I braked, I looked over my car, I did the usual tests on the shocks and they went down and up just once, so knew it wasnt the shocks....it baffled me so I took it less Schwab to have them check the suspension....they came.back to me saying shocks have gone and wanted to charge me over a thousand dollars to have it fixed and this would sort the problem out....I then took it to a great car mechanic someone referred and he confirmed like my thoughts, that the shocks were absolutely fine and it was the sway bar links that, had play in them and they were gone....so I bought 2 more for $30 dollars and fitted them in an hour myself. No more noise whilst braking...well i dont have to tell you how much I saved, so the question is.....so why are they telling people they need work done when they dont, and charging people huge amounts for parts and labour they dont need....this is not how you do business and more importantly not how you treat customers who pay your wages....please be aware and use at your own discretion but i will personally not use less Schwab again unless it was an emergency...you have lost a lot of business from me, now and in the future....I cannot recommend from my own personal experience

Already had a bad taste from a experience before, the second time I went in I got quoted a price over the phone and once there it was all of a sudden $40 more on top of the overpriced tires. I just recommend to seek another place in the area. All the local tires shops offer the same warranty on flats, rotations, etc.. and much better service.

There warranties that they push so hard for when they sell you the tires arent worth the paper they are written on. I purchased 4 new tires less than a year ago and then my car sat for 9 months while I had a company vehicle and my brand new tires has less than 5000 miles on them on a 40000 mile warranty on tires and they said no we cant replace or even help you because your alignment is off.. I paid for an alignment a year ago so how is the alignment out? so now because they said it needs an alignment theres no warranty the worn tires with only 4697 miles on them.. They are a scam.. now Im a single mom has custody of my two grandchildren and I cannot afford more tires I already spent $800 on tires a year ago so now I have a car thats unsafe because Les Schwab wont honor their warranty

I have trusted les schwab to do the job right and have great service for over 15 years and will continue going to them, but not this location. Their service was slow and terrible, treated me like a nuisance, and charged me to patch a tire that they did not actually patch. I had to go back to a different les schwab to have my tire repaired. They also gave me some mis-information about how I should buy some very, very expensive tires that would not have prevented my situation anyway, they dont know what their talking about. worst branch ever.

The one star is for the receptionist at the Forest Grove location, she was not interested in helping me, she said I would have to wait 3 hours to get my tires rotated, and I told her then I will make an appointment and she informed me I had to do it myself online. This is the 2nd time this has happened at this store, being told I would have to wait 2 - 3 hours before someone could take care of my car, and it was the same receptionist both times, she was really not interested in my business. I have never had this experience with any Les Schwab Store I have used before. I decided to drive to the Les Schwab in Hillsboro, and I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who was very accommodating and interested in helping me, I got my tires rotated in half the wait time I was told it would take at the Forest Grove store. Hillsboro Les Schwab provided the excellent service I’ve always experienced at these stores, so I give them 5 stars.

My experience in a word: Lackluster.It took a rather lengthy amount of time to get my vehicle looked at. In addition to being very cautious due to other posted reviews about the price-rape it was certainly felt when they came back out. All that was required was an alignment, lo & behold they wanted a sub-$100 job done for $683. They then offered me the incredibly stale and overcooked popcorn to help the wound. I promptly left and took my business elsewhere.

Came in to get my front tires replaced. Bought brand new tires for an outrageous price, which took two hours for a normal tire swap. Then the employee that changes my tires took my custom tire caps and kept them until I noticed they were gone and complained. After leaving I noticed my car was handling horribly. I took my car in to get it checked and they can’t figure out what they did wrong. Now I’m stuck with a car that doesn’t drive corresctly just because I got my tires replaced. My brake pad warning light came on, so I took it in here to have them check it out. They told me they were busy so it might take a while, so I went to get some lunch. Then I got a call about 15 minutes later (guess they werent busy after all), and he told me my front brakes were fine but my REAR brakes were metal on metal and would need to be replaced. He said they were too busy to do it that day, but he would get me a quote.When I got back to the store an hour later, they had no quote, said theyd email it to me. A few hours later I got a quote saying I needed FRONT brake pads, and rotors, and calipers, including the work the total was $500.I thought this was strange because first off he said rear brakes on the phone and front brakes on the quote, and my car had been driving just fine, only issue was a warning light, and they are saying everything needs to be replaced. So I decided to do the job myself (I have experience as a mechanic in the past, just prefer to save my time and let someone else do it).Well, the FRONT brakes were fine, the rear rotors were fine, the rear calipers were fine, the rear pads were low, but NOT metal on metal.I got new pads for like 80 bucks. Saved over $400 from what Les Schwaab wanted.

They broke the handle on my car door on accident and refused to work with me on a fix. They purposely went behind my back and spoke with the body shop in town so they could avoid repairs. Ultimately I fixed the handle myself because they were too difficult to work with.

I felt like the manager(Jayson) was trying to pull a fast one on me. I had a bad car battery that was still under Les Schwab warranty. The manager said it has to be the original owner for the warranty to be valid(I am not the original owner) but Les Schwabs warranty paperwork states that it only has to be in the original vehicle (which the battery was).. Then he tried to charge me $92 for a new battery. When I mentioned to him that their warranty doesnt say anything about original owner only original vehicle.. He changed his tune and said, Ill do it for you this one time, but were not supposed to.... I actually had the warranty paperwork in my pocket. I never did get a straight answer from him on why the paperwork says one thing and he said another. I feel he was trying to pull a fast one on me.

Only go here for usual stuff flat repairs.ive heard about the marking up and selling people parts that arent needed.what that tells me is that commission is being made on the parts beinging sold.thats cool but do it in an honest way.if the person just needs new pads and the rotors turned do it.no need to sell parts that arent needed

On my way to the coast, in the middle of nowere, one of my four tires exploded on my boat trailer. The forest grove location was the closest one to me. After emptying in my truck all the valuable things from my boat, I get to meet the worst costumer service ever. I needed to purchase a tire and hoped they could give me a spare one that I could bring back the next day if not used. After being pushed from one guy to another I finally got to an installer that was very arrogant and all that he was saying was that I needed to get an appointment. He could care less about my situation. He got in touch with the manager and they both agreed to sell me a tire and a spare but only if I agree that they will put a “ non returnable” note on my receipt. On a side note, all of this happen after someone stole $1000 worth of fishing gear from my boat the night prior, so I was not going to let my boat on the side of the road over night. I felt like they got that I’m in a desperate need of help and took advantage of my situation not only to make sure they get maximum amount of money out of but to make sure that I’m stuck with something I might not need. Today I went to my local Les Schwab in Tigard and I was able to return the “ unreturnable” spare tire and get the great service I’m used too. I would not recommend this location, please stay away or be prepared to deal with the worst costumer service ever.

I took my car here for a full set of tires, thats when my trouble started. First off i dont have a lot of money, so i told them i wanted the cheapest tires. They told me that i needed to have my wheels aligned. I asked if it was really nessesery and they told me i would not be able to leave with my vehicle if it was not done. So i said ok. An hour in to waiting for my car they come and tell me the lift my car is on is broken and they cant get my car down. They gave me a ride to work and dropped my car off there 5 hours later. They said that everything was good. That was a lie, big time. Two years and 18,000 miles into owning this car because of Les Schwab ive put 2 tires on the back and 6 tires up front. Along with wheel bearings, tierod ends, rotors and brake pads.
