Rude cashiers. If you bring your own bags, they won’t bag your groceries. Imagine having a full stopping cart to bag. What is the point of a “full service grocery store”?? Drive a few extra miles to the Ralph’s on Highland & Day Creek. Night & day difference in service. Polite, efficient cashiers. AND, they will bag your groceries if you bring your own bags.
I have been here several times! It was in March of 2020! I came here, when my coffee store was closed! This grocery store, at the time, still carried coffee for take out! Therefore, I have bought coffee several times in this store, before going to work. The prices were same as in other coffee shops, at least for coffee! Furthermore, because many restaurants were closed, and I wanted to keep social distancing. I have bought, several times, my lunch! The wait lines, though, were long. Still, the cashiers moved quite fast! Overall, I had a good experience shopping inside this store!
Great store love there service. I ordered 2 cases of wine on a Wednesday and received it on Friday. Just awesome service. Thank you.
This place has the worst front end customer service EVER! ! ! From management to cashiers. Being management in customer service myself this is unexcusable! Ive Always been a great customer. Im paying one more visit there as a rude customer, as they should know you have to be good with them too! Clearly this store needs a secret shopper to get them in check. NO CUSTOMER, NO RALPHS = NO J.O.B! ! !
Usually a great trip.Sushi in the morning is fresh and good.Variety of choices usually good but things have been out of stock for weeks at a time lately. Most workers are pleasant or helpful but occasionally you get someone who hates their job. Like the young lady tonight who breathed heavy when I approached her counter and tossed glass bottles across the scanner like they were plastic.A nice neighborhood grocery mart. Mornings are the best time to go.
Staff in the fresh produce area are always super nice. Flower, Deli, staff are friendly too. Store is always tidy and clean. There are plenty of self check out stands, which is very convenient, if you’re only shopping for a few things and want to get in and out quickly.
I would give this place zero stars if I could.I couldn’t believe it that they can’t refund me for products they never put in my car while they also have the receipt and the products at the store with them. Also, if they don’t want to talk to you they just drop your call. They are also EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude with their attitude. We ordered groceries using the Ralph’s app and picked it up at the Sierra Lakes Fontana, California store location. When we got home, we realized that a pumpkin pie we ordered was missing. We called the store and asked them for a refund, they insisted we go into the store to get the refund. We tried to explain that due to the distance (we were already home), and the current global crisis, that we could not go into the store to get the refund. After our phone call being transferred multiple times, we were patched in to the store manager, Sandra who had a tendency to raise her voice when we tried to explain that we could not go into the store. Throughout the ordeal, our call was dropped multiple times and we had to call back multiple times. After almost 45 minutes, Sandra told us that she called Kroger and resolved the issue. We thanked her.An hour later after eating dinner, we were unpacking the rest of our groceries and realized that we were missing 3 more items (2 brown sugar bags, and vanilla extract). We called the store again to let them know, the lady who picked up said she was busy and put us on hold. We were on hold for several minutes and the call was dropped. Throughout the ordeal, they mentioned several times that they were too busy for us.We called back again. We told again our issue, and the lady talking to us argued with us stating that she personally picked our stuff and talked over us when we tried to tell her that the items were not put in our car. We then told her that the other employee that we first talked to a few hours ago stated that the items were still at the store in a “tote.” She stopped insisting that we have it when we told her that her colleague said it himself that it is right in front of him.We told her the manager before was able to refund us for the pumpkin pie that was never placed in our car, so why couldn’t they refund the other products they never placed in our car. She also said multiple times that there was no store manager present that night, so none of them can help me further. Eventually, a store manager magically appeared and she transferred us to Manager Fernando and we told him our situation.Fernando told us to come to the store for our refund, and became impatient and unprofessional with the way he spoke over us with an impatient voice when we tried to explain that we could not go into the store that night. (FYI, they have the online order and the products they never placed in my car). He also told us he would transfer us to another manager “who would tell us the same thing”, and when we said yes, he said the manager is on lunch break. He then began to get personal and spoke to us in a demeaning way by stating things such as, “well in your work do you..,” and “well how far do you live really? How many miles are we talking about?” He also said, “how much is it” in referring to the items not placed in my car but I was charged (implying why I would go for all this effort for tens of dollars). I told him that we felt that those statements were very personal and unprofessional since we are not obliged to disclose our personal life for a mistake they admitted. I told him why the other manager can take care of the refund by calling, why can’t he? I asked him multiple times if I could get a refund that night for the products that they still have along with that were never placed in my car, he wouldn’t give us a straight answer and for many minutes. I told him if the other manager can give us a refund, why can’t he. It’s very unethical & unprofessional to not give a customer a refund that same day for something they never gave me .
They changed the shopping carts so they no longer can be pushed to the next section of parking lot where there is room to park long trucks like mine. When pushed back 10 feet, they dont even unlock. The main parking lot is usually quite full. The baskets also drag to one side now, making shopping after going to the chiropractor quite painful.
A very nice supermarket. Its huge and they pretty much have everything you need. They recently just opened a sushi spot inside on the south end entrance. Its good yet still in the high price end. However the sushi guys are very nice. The ready made food are all very good. The salads very good. Coffee selection is excellent.Plus its next to a coffee bean. Love the small kiddie shopping carts.
It is a nice grocery store! It is located in Sierra Lakes Village shopping area! I have been here several times, in March of 2020. It was during the beginning of COVID outbreak, when the coffee shop was closed. Therefore, I would come here, purchase my coffee, energy drinks, or lunch meals. The lines, despite the outbreak, were moving quite fast. Furthermore, I would use the speedy checkout lines, since I did not purchase many items. Nevertheless, in the mornings, the wait lines were long. So, I would recommend to shop around noon, or in the evening!
Horrible Customer Service. I really enjoy going to RALPHS and always buy my groceries there however at this specific location I experienced very unfriendly customer service. The cashier was distracted and checking her watch as I waited for my items to be scanned. I politely asked for some help with my bags and was rudely told I had to do it myself. I have never experienced this kind of response from an employee. There was no apology or explanation. Wouldn’t go to this location again.
I shop here every single week for the last year and have never had a bad experience. The meat quality is consistently great and the store is clean and well organized. The sales manager Fernando is eager to help me out and always has a great attitude. Seriously impressed with this fine store.
Fernando, the store manager, is always rude to me. I live across the street so I come here regularly and get along with all the employees except for this guy. I have no idea why. Maybe he has me mixed up with someone else? Maybe hes just grumpy all the time?Im the tall-ish Asian guy thats in there every 2 or 3 days if Fernando wants to explain why hes so consistently rude.
I love the water there
Did pickup for the first time at Ralphs and not the best outcome. Bakery items were over baked and had a best by date 2 days out. Meat wasnt as great as hoped. Deli rolls were not dated at all. Food was just subpar. Also, customer service was so so. The only nice thing is that it saved me time to shop for the items myself, but I probably would have passed on certain items had I known the quality ahead of time.
This is the store we shop at the most. The staff is always friendly.
A big thank you to ALL the employees for making me not feel uncomfortable for not wearing a mask! Kodos to this Ralph’s Store! And added bonus for a great clean friendly store!!!
Great place to shop, very clean and always stocked, good deals.
The deli takes way to long store lines are way to long and honestly could serve my self faster
Unable to leave 0 stars. I have been calling repeatedly to order from the deli directly at Ralph’s. Each time, they pick up the phone, then put me on hold. Then it disconnects. Tried to order online but it won’t let you if less than 24 hrs in advance. It says call this other number. When I call it, they say no, this is customer service why are you calling to order food. I said this number is on the website. Then she said well it’s wrong. Did not offer to help find out the correct number.
Should let Kathleen know shes there to help people not bark @ them and say youre doing it all wrong!Nasty attitude! More training??
I placed an order for Monday, October 6 2020. My mom is celebrating her birthday today and had one request was getting her cake from there. Not reliant upon talked to 3 representatives and had 1 lady take down my order. Horrible communication among employees and lack of line communication of hierarchy to employees. 2 transfers later and the representative lost my paperwork for todays order. Dont waste your time or enjoyment of life on this type of business entity. They dont care about the customer yet the memories you would like to make on your birthday. ( rude, unreliant, horrible customer service, and the list can go on dont waste ur time shopping here
Very clean store.
Our favorite Ralphs - we pass by this area often and we love to shop here. And their restrooms are always super clean!
Boar need to be more attentive to their customers. I get ignored for quite a while (5-10 minutes) at the line even after the previous customer needs have been fulfilled.
This is our family grocery store, been coming here for over 10 years. Well stocked and tended, staff is professional and helpful. The parking lot is large and even at Thanksgiving & Super Bowl Sunday you can get a parking spot no problem. There is no Starbucks or other coffee shop inside the store, however there is a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at the North side of the parking lot.Walking into the store from the parking lot, the produce section is on the far left (NW corner), the deli is on the far right (SW corner). The pharmacy is next to the produce and the meat and seafood is in the far right back corner (SE corner).Pro tip- ask a butcher to fry up some fresh catfish (that you pick out) and it will be ready in 15 min for a quick hot something as soon as you get home. Fair warning though, its torture to smell it all the way home...There I at least 1 electric cart, and they will be happy to help you with groceries out to your car if needed.Best time to do the weekly shopping is early Saturday or Sunday morning, in and out in 30 min. This store was redecorated in 2017.Edit 9-3-2018There are at least 2 electric carts saw a couple in them shopping this afternoon, very cute.
Tried calling yesterday more than 6 times for fried chicken order for today and they only answered once and transferred me to a different department, today called at 8 am and they transferred me again called again at 10am they wouldn’t answer called again @11:30 they finally answer and explained to the girl that I’ve been calling since yesterday she just says ‘sorry I don’t know about that’! & hangs up after that.Horrible service if they have a phone in every department I’m sure someone can take 1-2 minutes to answer.
I realize there is a huge problem with this flu epidemic and people buying what they need and over buying because of the panic the media is causing. The media is now trying to calm everyone down by saying markets and stores are not running out of products and food so dont hoard and opening/closing later/earlier to clean up and restock. That is not the case at all! Why is Ralphs making its customers stand in line to go into an empty store? Tell your customers the store ran out of most products or food and we wont stand in line for hours trying to get in. We can try back tomorrow or the next day! What a waste of time and a horrible way to lose customers.
Great service and selection. They have the sushi guy here which i like and a salad bar so plenty of quick healthy options and lots of bekery stuff too.
Been going to this location since they opened the store several years ago. At that time I had small children and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially with 3 small children in tow I needed the extra help getting to the car. Im glad I dont have small children now as it took me 10 minutes to bag my own groceries this morning in self-checkout. Its so disappointing when there are several employees standing around while I bag my own groceries. There was no check out open and I had no other options. It seems that customer service is on a downslope lately. Very friendly staff, very kind and helpful if you ask, but youre pretty much on your own. I dont think I will be going back. Ive tried several times and every time its a different scenario similar. On another occasion recently, I got into a Q&A about bags, how many bags?, whos going to bag and the gal ended up putting all of my canned goods at the bottom of my shopping cart not bagged. Its frustrating because they dont even know how to bag any more. I would pay an extra 10 bucks just to have someone bag my groceries properly and help me to the car like they used to. I know its hard in the grocery business to make a buck but dont undercut the customer please.
I love this place. Clean and the staff are very professional. Special thanks to the seafood department. Those guys are really accommodating and very professional. Why cant all department stores be like this? Thanks guys!!!!
Probably my favorite chain grocery store. Big enough for good selection (except beer).Good place to get energy bars, prepackaged sushi (if thats your thing) and condiments. The Ralphs/ Kroger sourdough bread is pretty decent.Right off freeway (210).
Ive had many issues with this Ralphs, especially with the late shift. The training the employees are receiving is far below what I would expect from such a reputable company. On multiple occasions Ive had employees not understand how to ring up my order and specifically stating, they didnt train us. One of the most recent occasions was in the self checkout line and my machine was not working. Monica was the employee who was assisting everyone in the checkout lane and came over to assist us. The Machine was frozen and was not taking her employee number, which she assumed was only three digits long. She made multiple at remedying the situation before calling over her lead Fernando. Fernando gave it two or three tries before he left entirely without a word and did not return, leaving me and my groceries alone with Monica who had no idea what to do. She then decided to ask me to load up all my groceries back in the cart and pull them over to a computer and the end of the self-checkout area and she began to scan all of the groceries again. She had them all scanned and then told me to swipe my card which I did. We waited and waited for the processing page to clear the transaction which it never did. She once again called Fernando over with her radio and he decided that it wasnt important enough to show up. we waited much longer again until I decided to look at the screen to see that she never even clicked total on here screen for the money transaction to begin. I clicked it for her and finished my transaction on my own. All the while, I looked back at my self-checkout machine which has reset and has helped at least three other people in the time it took for my assistant to figure out how to do her job, which I did for her.
This store is incredible! (If you can overlook the crazy solicitors..)The store itself is amazing! Ive been coming here for years, and they have a lot of variety on their shelves. They even have gluten-free options here, which for me is godsend! They have the self checkout, which makes shopping there a breeze, and theyre always well stocked.Beware though, there are solicitors there every day, at both doors and roaming the parking lot. and theyve only gotten more pushy. Ive had people come up to my car and follow me up to the doors even though I immediately say no thank you, followed by just flatly ignoring them. Now this happens EVERY DAY. Solicitors are a little bothersome but tolerable normally, but this is seriously ridiculous. It sucks because this is a great store, but the harassment I get entering and leaving is driving me insane. Sorry Ralphs, :( but Im looking for somewhere else.
My grocery store in the area. Customer service here is awesome. The store always in order and ithe staff is always willing to assist if needed.👍🏻
Always a joy to go to this Ralphs.. I enjoy the warmth from the young lady in the deli department Maha, thank you every time I come in you make me feel at home.. the store is always clean.. sales associates actually stop and say hi do you need any help... you dont find it in a lot of grocery stores anymore maybe because the location or maybe theyre just normal human beings and not animals like the other stores.. thanks again...
Probably one of the best grocery stores. We come every sunday!! They have amazing customer service, Sandra is an amazing store manager and she is so friendly! Justin is usually our cashier and he is also so friendly and wonderful and helps me save money!
The deli people dont even acknowledge you are there. I was the only person waiting for the deli and she just ignored me for 6 minutes. So I asked her do I need to have a number or what. She finally acknowledged me and said Ill be with you in a minute.
Nothing annoys me more than having to self check out. I do not work here! Won’t be shopping here anymore.
Great employees, like shopping in the 50s. Clean, good selection, good layout. Best Ralphs Ive shopped at.
I love Ralphs, I really do but lately Ive been really getting irked by the lack of customer service. I hate that when I go many times there is no one to help check me out. Its solely self check out. I get its cheaper but its ridiculous. I went to Vons the other day and fell in love with the fact that there were no self check out stands. Wow! Exactly as it should be. I live across the street from Ralphs- literally. To be honest, I spend a lot of money there but from now on, unless its a quick buy, I will be taking my money to Vons where people will actually help.
Clean, neat and stocked. Real food for real people. You ‘vegans’ need to go to Sprouts or eat your own lawn. Don’t try to force that junk onto the shelves of a real market.
It is 19:45 and hot deli is closed, on a weekend too.The only thing I liked about Ralphs...So long!
Is Ralphs turning into Food 4 Less now? We have do bag our own groceries, oh wait at least at Food 4 Less theres somebody there to ring you up unlike Ralphs.
This location made me a Ralphs shopper. Its not like other locations, its THE ralphs location. Here you will find some of the best examples of what Ralphs has to offer. The bakery dept has lots of great, happy (yes happy), helpful staff. They really do enjoy working here (most of the time) and it shows in their work and smiles (real smiles, I can tell). I never have issues (except before they made the sign line starts here) and enjoy dealing with staff to get my baked goods and deli. The meat department (aka meat mafia) know how to take care of business. When I draw a blank on what to make they always have ideas and let me know whats on sale and whats good. I wont mention my favorite part due to me not wanting to share and have to wait longer times. The produce dept keeps the baddies (rotted junk) out and everything neat and stacked front and center. Seasonal fruits and the rarities are always here and ready to go.Been going here for years now and just got around to doing this, figured I would while I checked their hours for today. See for yourself, or better yet dont so I wont have competition at MY ralphs.
Crowded time but they were on their game. Lady handling the self check out was directing people to available lanes. Had to ask for direction on locating a product employee responded without pause correctly.
This is the very best Ralphs in the whole world (I think). There is so much more selections on everything; it is super clean; and the people that work here are very helpful. I find items here that are not in other places. The deli is amazing!
This Ralphs was well stocked, neat and organized given its so close to Christmas. I bought cooked food from the deli that was freshly cooked and delicious.
The people who work here are so nice and friendly. I drive farther to shop at this store, because the employees seem happy. Plus, its clean. They have books!
Great store with awesome service. Employees are awesome. 4 stars because meat section is sub par. Another store down the street has actual butchers that will cut it the way you want it
I go here a lot for quick grocery. They have good selections of organic veggies. Location is good as it next to many quick bite restaurants and coffee shop.
This is a great store.Must have loyalty card or phone number to enjoy their best. Also the Ralphs app
They cant keep stock on the shelves. They keep getting rid of products that we buy. Many of the products on the shelf are old or past the expiration date. By old I mean that a product might be good for a year (this is an example) but by the time it gets on the shelf it might have only a few weeks left.
Ralphs is great! Especially the staff in the Deli department. Always nice and professional!
Best Sushi. The chef also made some sashimi to go. My new sushi to go spot.
This store is awesome!!! super clean with an awesome staff. also its very clear that the management at this store really cares about the community with all the charity work they allow (ie...boy scouts, girl scouts and now they want to bring DARE back!!!)
Great selection. Decent prices. Miss the one in Rialto that closed down. I try to shop here when in the area. Much cheaper than shopping in Highland, which is closest to me, but we dont have a Ralphs near. Its either this one or the one in SB. Either way both are a distance.
Came here last night and didnt appreciate my checkout experience. I usually do all my grocery shopping at Target... shouldve gone there. Im not complaining about their selection, its great. However when I went to check out, the cashier looked at me and asked, wic? Ive never had that happen before anywhere. Is there a different check out process for people who use wic? And do all customers get asked if theyre paying with wic before they even finish unloading their merchandise? As if that werent enough, he accused me of not paying for a juice that I had already paid for. I told him that I put it in my cart right after he scanned it as to make my checkout faster because I never bag juices... he asked to see my receipt, checked it and confirmed that I hadnt paid for it. He took it out of my cart and asked if I still wanted it. I said yes & payed again, feeling humiliated at this point. As I was walking out, I checked my receipt because it didnt feel right and what do I see? The juice that I didnt pay for listed, first item at the very top. I went back and got my refund. He did apologize but what incompetence and unprofessionalism.I dont have anything against wic or the people who use it, but why would he assume that Im such a person? Because I look young (Im actually 30) and have a baby and am obviously expecting a second? Or was it because I was shopping alone while my husband is at work? Its almost 2020 for crying out loud...I guess Ill just stuck to Target, where I wont be humiliated... which is a shame since Ralphs is closer to my HOUSE!Associate: Yi L
I love this Ralphs. The employees are awesome and friendly. The fruits and veggies are constantly in rotation. Always fresh. If you got that sudden inkling for some delicious snacks (thats why we voted Yes!!!) you could waltz in here with eyes redder than the devils d!ck and theres is no judgement. Great snack selection. Even for you cooky vegans.
I love this grocery store. Has a deli and hot food dishes ready to take out. The selection is great. It has a pharmacy. Its pretty much a one stop shop. It last has a craft beer section which is awesome. Staff is friendly and very nice. Fried chicken is finger licking good, lol. They also have a sushi kitchen, they make sushi to order and have packed ones to go as well, incase you need as quick fix. Stop by, youll enjoy it.
Great place for organic goods and veggies. Quality is great
I have yet to dislike a trip to our local Ralphs! Love the sales and savings! Sometimes I get a little lost looking for what I need, but then again, sometimes I dont even know what I need!!
I enjoy going to this Ralphs, it is right off the freeway on my way home from work and the entire staff are always so friendly and nice. ALWAYS!! I greatly appreciate that!
It was expensive. They did not have the items I was looking for. Plenty of fresh and organic spices and fruits. Big store with plenty to look at. Must bring your own totes
Always enjoy shopping there. The staff is great and the store is open and easy to get around in. The deli is fantastic and the addition of the sushi counter was a super idea.
Been coming here since I moved here in 2006. Even though sprouts is closer I still go to Ralphs
They always have a wide variety of options, the layout it spacious and never too busy. The store is clean and has great prices on bread, though can be expensive on other items.
They only keep the self-checkouts open now? These things are horrible. I would love to see the owners sit there and try to use the self checkout with $60 of groceries. Management is also very rude
Since moving to this area I have bounced around to different places to buy flowers for my wife... well I found the right place when I came to the floral department at Ralphs. I was extremely happy with the bouquet I had made this past week for Christmas.Special ATTN: To Quileen the florist who helped me. If you are looking for a good one to help you on a regular basis ask for her she took great care of me and even had input on how the bouquet was put together. Myself not being super proficient in the flower department basically told her generally what I wanted and she put it all together and I was extremely happy with it and my wife raved about them all weekend.Safe to say this is my new flower spot and I’ll be returning for Quileen’s help again.Chris
Always find what I need. Also this store is organized and clean. Everyone is very helpful and nice.
One of the nicer Ralphs Ive been to very clean and neat will definitely shop here again.
Great people work here. Try the Sushi..Henry the Sushi cook is awesome!
The atmosphere inside is very friendly especially from the employees and clean from inside to the outside of the parking lot .
What’s with having the cashiers now help you at self-check-out? I don’t want to bag my own groceries!! It’s a pain and isn’t that why they have employees?? It’s always a pain to look stuff up especially vegetables and fruit. If Ralph’s is gonna make me bag my own groceries then I SHOULD be getting a DISCOUNT on my groceries!!!
I always enjoyed my shopping at Ralphs. They provides helps for people like me that is old. May God bless you all.
EDIT: I’ve dropped by multiple times in the past few weeks. Each time I visit I always find a handful of people in the store without face masks. Not only are there are signs on both entrance doors in plain view that state masks are required BUT it’s also now mandatory by statewide order to wear them in just about every place (grocery stores being one of the mandatory places). I’m going to have to report this location/business to the SB county department health. One person not wearing a a mask was being helped out at the deli counter.Always great service. But today was my first time trying the deli entrees. I got the antipasto salad - it was drowning in dressing, so overpowering and sour. Might want to take it easy on the dressing.
A Ralphs visit is always pleasant and I always find what I need or came for.
Place is fine for shopping but the parking is terrible. My car was hit by some low life and they didnt bother to leave their info, went into ask to see security footage seeing as how there were two security cameras close by. One wasnt working and the other was not pointed in the direction of the parking lot. Its sad when you have to worry about your car getting vandalized when shopping. Thanks Fontana.
There are a couple grocery stores closer to me but I love coming to Ralphs because everyone is always so friendly and eager to help me check out. Never had any problems with fresh meats that I have bought there either so thats a plus.
This is a great location. This Ralphs always has friendly staff and awesome deals.
I like this store nice staff very friendly. I use to visit everyday until they start charging for plastic bags very sad. I think they lost lot of customers the first 3 months on plastic bag ban. The customers went to Costco they give boxes for free groceries not 10 cents per bag. These new bags are thicker and worst for the environment then the thinner free bags. I only buy 3 to 5 items now. I use to buy 30 items.
Great service, always ready to help. All employees serve with a smile. Live in Highland but always worth the the trip.😀😃😁
Fresh fruits and veggies most of the time 😃 weve moat of the time found what we need. Cashiers are super nice and helpful, at least the onea who take care of us when we shop there 😃
I purchased some fish and they also cooked it for me . Great Customer service
Always clean, neat and very friendly and helpful employees.
Have great prices as well as sale items. Always find what Im looking for.
I use to love it here. Not so much now that i have to scan and bag my own stuff now. Im done with this place.
I got to tell you about this place. This place is awesome good atmosphere very friendly awesome selection all around the departments. My store to go to!
The best in all thanks. Best team
Had everything I needed and check out was quick and easy
The store is clean, well stocked, and the produce is always fresh. This Ralphs also has a Fresh Faire deli and a bakery.
Employees are so nice there. Always very helpful.
Everything i needed was well stocked no waiting in line that was great, The Best Service
The customer service was horrible today. Please lets do better. Theres not a lot of Ralphs anymore.
They need to have cashiers not just self check out. I hate self check. This change is not good at all.
Its a great place to shop, can go in and feel that Im going to find what I need.
Great, clean store. Love that they have childrens baskets so they can be involved as well.
I love the produce department and always getting deals in the clearance section you can try stuff cheaper then if you like it you cAn buy it at regular price no wasting money😉
