They have gluten free/vegan options so I was able to get a pick-me-up for a friend but I decided to get some regular options as well for my kids. Portions are huge! Flavor is great! Pretty dang sweet, and I have a sweet tooth for sure, but I can only do half a treat at a time. Great bakery, will definitely try more options!

Went there when I heard good reviews. I got 3 different cupcake flavors. Only one of it was OK(vegan) The other 2 were pretty dry and very crumbly(caramel apple and I believe the other one was vanilla with raspberry frosting).I give the 3 star because the employee was helpful.I will still try another time and hope my experience will be better regarding the cupcakes.

Today I was my two year olds birthday and the baker I hired messaged me and told me she tested positive for covid and canceled on me. So I went to Hive Bakery to get some cupcakes because I was between a rock and a hard spot and based on all the reviews that’s why we chose Hive.the cupcakes look beautiful. but they have ZERO flavor and are dry and crumbly. I would save my money and go somewhere else for a sweet treat.

Talk about massive portions on some baked goods, wow. I stopped in and ordered a brownie which was insanely large and delicious. Id be back in the future for a cupcake.

Oh my gosh!!! This place is the best. At the last minute they made a custom cake for my daughters baby shower. It was beautiful and the best chocolate cake Ive ever had. They asked me to email the shower invite to make sure the cake was themed properly. The young lady in the shop and the owner went out of their way to help me. Ive ordered a second custom cake for another event and cant wait to see how awesome it is going to be.After reading the one star reviews here I have loads of respect for this small business owner. She is hard working, stands by her work and her employees and is willing to take on the trolls!! The customer is always right, until they arent!!

Been following Hive Bakery on FB for a while & finally stopped in today for some special Halloween treats. O M G was it worth it!! Absolutely adorable shop and the treats were fabulous!! Picked up some spooky cupcakes, an oatmeal caramel apple cream pie & a chocolate dipped pumpkin cookie. Ahhhmazing!! So delicious! We will definitely be back.

We love coming to Hive. They are always busy buzzing little bees, so there is usually a little delay if you’re doing something like a custom cake. We ordered a cake (and paid for it) that would have been picked up at the start of the pandemic (April 2020). Haley was very understanding, we still have a credit with the store. She recently checked in on us because we had not rescheduled our cake/event. We try to go often, especially if someone is coming to town or if we are going somewhere. (Though my COVID 15 begs me to stop.)We love the bakery, we love what they stand for, we love Haley’s no nonsense attitude. In a world with so much division and hate, we have to stand up for what we believe in. Could you go to Walmart or Kroger and get a cake? Absolutely. Will it be as good? Decidedly not.

One of the most discriminatory bakeries Ive ever been to. They were very impolite and rude to my wife. I wouldnt spend a single penny here if it was the only bakery on the planet. Im a veteran of the Armed Forces (12 years) and my wife is half Japanese. The two employees disappeared to the back somewhere and did not reappear until my wife walked out. I left also. If youre not going to interact with her, Im definitely not going to stick around to buy anything. If you are the owner reading this review, you should be ashamed of yourself for hiring such employees!!!No, Im not mistaken. My wife stood in your bakery for fifteen minutes! They dont recall because I waited nearly a month before posting this review because it made me so angry. It was very hurtful to her. I come from a family of veterans and my wifes father served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. It really irritated me to watch her be ignored like that. And to think my fellow veterans and I put ourselves in harms way only to return home to witness our very own citizens treat us or our spouse the way my wife was treated by your employees! Tell them to grow a spine and own up to such dispicable conduct when confronted about it because I dont believe a word youre saying about promoting women and inclusiveness.

Took the kiddos in today to get a treat. It was a lovely experience and they were so patient with my kids who asked a lot of questions and were a bit indecisive at first. We tried the Oreo, cookie dough, and funfetti cupcakes- all of them were so good, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be the funfetti!

What I love about Hive Bakery was how safe they were with COVID-19. My father and I had to be very careful due to him being high risk and getting cupcakes by driving up really got us through the year. Plus, there food is really Freaking good. There’s a reason they are on the Food Network. I treat myself to Hive quite often and I love the variety they have. It’s different every week and their cupcakes are to die for.

Awesome & friendly service. Beautiful cake that was a great value. Ordered coconut cake which was very nice but as noted on site the cake was crumbly. Great flavor but was hard for us to cut in slices that didn’t crumble a bit.

The shop is darling. Their signature ginger/Graham cake batter is a bit overpowering. We couldn’t taste the raspberry frosting, lemon frosting or key lime frosting. The best flavor was the red velvet. Fair prices, very attractive presentation.

We went in and bought cupcakes and pastries that were pre-made behind the glass. They were dry and tasted super old. They are not very friendly in there either. Plenty of other options that are better in FM in my opinion.

This is a great bakery. I ordered a cake and I was unhappy with it. My wife spoke to the owner, Haley, she took it to the back and in an hour it looked amazing. Now it was my fault to begin with since I only messaged her the basics what I wanted and didnt send any references. The cake looked and tasted great and those macaroons, not macarons, are amazing. I came by your shop today to pick up the order I placed 1-2 days ago only to be nonchalantly told that nothing was ready, but if I still wanted the 1 cupcake that WAS ready out of the 10 I ordered; that was still on the table.I’m not upset that the order wasn’t ready because I get it, sometimes things happen; I’m more upset that the fact that the whole day went by, I drove the distance and showed up at my scheduled pick up time (which was 4:30, so again, there was time in the day) - you couldn’t notify me? Give me a call and tell me about the delay? Poor customer service on your end. I placed this order as a treat for me and my family, to have something to enjoy, this would’ve been our first time trying this bakery as well; not necessarily for a special occasion but to change perspective here - what if it was? What if this was an order for some event I was throwing? Hive Bakery is hands down my FAVORITE bakery. They go out of their way to always have vegan options for those of us who love our pastries but cant have things like dairy or animal products due to choices or allergies. I appreciate their time and effort more than theyll ever know.

Ordered a Reeses peanut butter cake today for my wifes 30th birthday. On the website it clearly states that it has a chocolate ganache drizzle on top. Opened the box and ours doesnt. I called and made sure that we had the right cake and spoke to Haley the owner. I told her ours doesnt have the drizzle and she says yeah we changed our design. I told her that we were torn between two cakes and the one that prevailed was in part because of the ganache on top! Her only response was that yeah I guess we have to update our website Lol. So the paying customer is wrong because of their lack of website updating. No apologies...nothing.Just to respond to the owner’s response. No apology was given. That is a complete lie. In fact you were super aggressive to me on the phone.I am not sure how it’s the customers fault that they expect the cake to be what is written on the menu online which is created by the owner lol.

I will always recommend. The most amazing pies you will ever taste. I dare you to try them all! Their cakes are equivalent to a work of art. My family has been getting desserts from Hive for a few months. We started exclusively getting goodies from them when the pandemic hit because they immediately started taking such conservative precautions to keep their staff and patrons safe. They swiftly implemented online ordering—and as a person who doesn’t love surprises—I really like being able to hop online and see what is available. I appreciate how inventive they are with their various desserts, and it is evident that the staff is skilled in the culinary arts because of the array of confections they produce. More recently, my sister had her heart set on a cake for my niece’s second birthday. I knew full well that to order a cake from Hive requires a few weeks of advanced notice—this fact annoys many people—but to me, it signals a bakery that produces quality product. My sister indicated her heart’s desire a little too late for a custom cake—honestly, even too late for a signature cake—but because Haley makes signature cakes every weekend, when I reached out and explained, she ensured we got a signature cake for my niece’s birthday. I’ve interacted with Hive staff, seen their social media presence, and tasted their delicious treats, and I am a devoted fan. I’m here for a company that doesn’t allow themselves to be mistreated and is vocal in the community on behalf of the little guy. Oh, yeah...and their cupcakes are the bomb.com.

I called to let them know I was here within minutes of placing my order, no rush of course, and they were so nice and got my order out very quickly!! I haven’t even picked up my cupcakes yet but would give 10 stars if I could because the customer service I received over the phone from Haley was outstanding! I’m having a small family party tomorrow for my son and my SIL and niece are both gluten free. In typical “me” fashion, I waited till 3pm the day before the party to get gluten free cupcakes for them and Hive only had one more in stock when I called but when I told Haley what they were for, she offered to whip me up just two gluten free cupcakes to pick up by the end of the day. I am amazed and so appreciative! While I don’t need a custom cake for this occasion, you can bet I will order my next custom cake (and all gluten free treats from now on!) from Haley and Hive Bakery. Hive Bakery is AMAZING! We have used this establishment for various events including birthday parties, bridal showers, and baby showers, and we have been extremely happy with every order. The owner is extremely easy to work with, and extremely creative with her work. Everything has always looked amazing and tasted just as great as it looks. We also pop in for a cupcake every now and then when we have a sweet tooth. The ladies that work there have always been very kind and helpful. This is absolutely the best bakery, definitely worth every penny!

My almond rasberry cake was gorgeous and delicious! I would have loved to give them 5 stars, but we waited in the parking lot for 30 minutes for someone to bring our cake out to us after calling to let them know I was there. I finally spoke to an employee leaving for the day, and she went back inside the bakery and got our cake. I have no idea what the problem was, but an explanation and apology for our inconvenience would be welcome. I will definitely give them another chance based on the quality of the product.

Well let me start off by saying most of it was the most delicious sweets I had ever tasted but ... the cupcakes was the part I was most excited for, but the cupcakes were crummy and didn’t have the most flavors in the world and the butter cream was way too sweet even the salted caramel. And the cake pops were really dry so that is why I gave it four stars and not five but if you don’t like cake pops or cupcakes then go to Hive Bakery .

First of all service is great, Ive ordered in the past and had great experience, beautiful and delicious,. However this last month ordered cakes and they were beautiful design, looked amazing however were very dry. Very disappointed. Like they had been frozen for a month and then thawed. Not sure Ill order from them again, for the price they should be edible as well as beautiful.

This has been a wonderful addition to Flower Mound. The only thing better that is better than their delicious items is their customer service! Always greeted warmly and with a smile from the staff. I am not a regular as I only get over there maybe once a month but they always treat me like I am and that says a lot about the service. I highly recommend the cinnamon roll it is amazing! I’ve bought 2 cakes for the my wife’s birthday. First was chocolate and bigger than I thought and awesome. Second was a dinosaur cake that was specially made and was off the hook awesome. We have bought counter items as well. They are our go to bakery when we need something.

I love this bakery!!! It has amazing vegan options, and I love how they post their menu on instagram. The things I have purchased there are a little too sweet for me, but still delicious. Every time I get something at Hive Bakery, I can taste the love put in to baking it. 10/10 recommend checking it out.

I love Hive Bakery! Our first trip in was when my parents were visiting from up north. The young woman behind the counter was friendly and informative. She was patient when my mom was indecisive and suggested cupcake flavors for my notoriously picky dad. I have been to Hive several times, and have gone out of my way to visit, as I live in the Houston area and the drive is over 4 hours.I have tried several of their cupcakes, cookies, cookie sandwiches, tarts, scones, and other treats such as the turtles and the banana pudding.Every single item has been delicious, fresh, and exactly what I expected from a bakery that takes such pride in their products. Theyve even survived the long drive home and been amazing the next day.I have always been greeted warmly and treated wonderfully.Hive is everything a business should be.

Love the chocolate chip scones so much!!! They are big and yummy!! Loved the Reeces cup rice crispy treat and wanting more! The chocolate strawberry tart is so go you cant stop eating it to save some for later!

I went to pick up some sweets from this bakery today. i have been here before, and loved it!When i got there, they said i couldn’t go inside to pick my selection. she said you can go online or call. i said ok i will call.when i called, the gal said they have a dozen cupcakes available.i said great, love your cupcakes !Well when i got home and looked at my cupcakes, there were cheetos and potato chips all over them. i almost thought it was a joke.i called and explained what happened, that these are not the cupcakes i have purchased in the past. the gal said she was going to get her boss. i explained the situation, and the boss said that i “should have looked online before ordering because it was made for “state fair “i said why wouldn’t the gal let me know that, she knew that i wasn’t aware of the fact i couldn’t enter and pick my own selection.the boss said, “we didn’t do anything wrong, you should have looked online .”i was shocked as all she had to do was apologize. i have been to several bakeries recently, not one of them operates in this manner.from one business owner to another, i would never treat a customer like that. i mean ever, it’s too easy to fix. i told her i respect small businesses more than anything, as that is how we make our living. but her pride got in the way of just saying “i’m sorry, we should have told you it was state fair cupcakes “this is a small bakery, and a good one in terms if their product. but their customer service is horrendous, honestly i have never seen this type or arrogance. i will never be back.EDIT:After trying the cupcakes i wish i could leave negative stars. they are God awful !and for the record, i was never combative, never called you any names nothing ! it’s not even about the pandemic so just stop !you may have been tired, i will give you that, but again no reason to treat a customer so poorly .to use the pandemic as a reason to give subpar service and product is no excuse!i didn’t even bring this up. it was the lack of communication, apology, and straight up rudeness that you possessed as a business owner is appalling.yes, the customer is right. we bend over backwards to make our clients happy, you couldn’t even say, “i’m sorry for her not letting you know” it would take two secondsi’m at a loss for words, bless your heart

Ehh I went in to try the baked goods because I wanted to post a review after seeing them on my social media feed, but Im not one to leave reviews with out trying something first. I ordered a chocolate pastry, a cake pop and a fruit tart. In my honest opinion none of them were out of this world the cake pop was dry and Im sure I could have made better. The chocolate pastry was very very sweet and ... I couldnt eat it all maybe I ate about 2 or 3 bites of it. The tart was simple and it was okay, but nothing fantastic. I will be going by early in the morning to order again because the owner is correct if things sit out to long they might be dry ... so Im willing to try again sometime this week and perhaps update my review.

I ordered a Father’s Day cake for my dad who is ill and this cake brought me to tears!! The detail and look of the cake is simply AMAZING! I can’t thank you enough for this incredible cake!! ♥️♥️♥️

This. Place. Is. Amazing!!!!! Everything is delicious all the time!!! We’ve tried the salted caramel chocolate chip cookie dough brownie, chocolate chip scones, chocolate silk pie, chocolate chip bourbon pecan pie, blueberry pie, cherry pie, apple pie, Oreo brownie, funfetti cupcake, and the salted caramel cupcake! I don’t know how they do it, but the treats get better every time!

We called today to order a cake to be picked up for a birthday weekend and were told that it takes 4 weeks to place an order and pick up a cake. Are you kidding me??? It takes 2 hours to make a cake not 4 weeks!

Haley did such a great job on our wedding cake and cupcakes! She was so easy to work with, she listened to what we wanted and made it even better. The cake itself was delicious and we got a lot of compliments from our guests! I would definitely work with her again and can’t wait to visit her new bakery! Thank you again!!

I work at a neighboring shop, their kindness is immeasurable. Every time we visit they are the sweetest people. Best desserts we’ve ever had. Keep it goin’ Hive! It keeps getting better and better.

Ive been a customer for a while now and never had a problem with anything, all the sweets have been great. My father came in to get 2 Valentines cookies for my mother and I and it was the first treat that was terrible. Shocked at this, we wanted to return the cookies in hopes of a credit or refund. Because we have never had an issue with anything before. And as one cookie was $6, we definitely wanted to get something we can enjoy. My mother went in to explain politely how the cookies tasted horrible, and we love coming here and if we could get a credit to get a different treat. A lady came in from the back so offended at this, and repeatedly asked what the problem was. As we try to explain, the cookie tasted bad, we couldnt eat it and they were expensive, we wanted to return them. She kept saying she would if there was a problem, and that by us saying, they tasted bad, wasnt a problem. We went back and forth for 10 mins trying to nicely explain, the taste of this wasnt good. Please can we return them. She then said it was our problem, and not hers, so we couldnt get a refund cause everyone else likes them and no one complained about them. And flat out refused to give any reimbursement. Very rude, very unprofessional, and we will not be coming back because of this lady. Customer service here needs to improve, other wise we would have gladly kept being loyal customers, and telling all our friends about this place. Now we will never come back amd not bring any business, to treat customers so poorly is absolutely ridiculous, no matter what.
