Best All Around.Had some difficulty with my sewing machine and the dealer in Myrtle Beach and was so disgusted after not getting it fixed. We call House of Vacuums & Sewing and spoke with Seth. He was so nice said he could fix it today so we rode to Florence, a nice drive, and sure enough he fixed it and some issues that the dealer in Myrtle Beach created. I am so grateful. You guys have a new loyal customer. I will drive the extra time for efficient and quality service. Thanks.
The have brought 2 of my three Dysons back to life... and they are working hard to pull call Lazarus our of the throws of death. But seriously - these guys do a great job and Im a BIG FAN. Rarely do you work with someone so good at their job. I hope I can serve my customers as well as Ive been treated here. Everyone can have a negative experience anywhere so if you see poor reviews, just remember we are more likely to leave a negative review than a positive affirmation. I felt like I needed to let everyone know these guys are the real deal... they are a little pricey, but Im cheap... it was totally worth the incremental expense to know my repairs are done 100% correct. I trust this company - I wish they did car and home repair! Seriously give them a chance if you need your vacuum repaired.

Stopped in yesterday looking for a used vacuum cleaner thought I got a really good deal on an Oreck for 199 with a some extra bag vacuum bags came to 232 with tax. Somewhat annoying as the first person I spoke to closest to the door wasnt very helpful. Then the guy involving the vacuum cleaners when he walked out he has what can I do for you maam. Like cut me a break Ive got a freaking beard and long hair and he calls me maam. Good thing I was in a good mood. So I bought a used vacuum cleaner. Got home and before I can finish vacuuming it blew up. Of course Ill take it back and see what the outcome is that it is itll be maam!!
I never write reviews but this was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. I dropped off my vacuum because it wouldn’t start. I asked the Mark how long it would take and he told me usually no more than a week. After 2 weeks I called to check on the status of my vacuum & Mark said that they had to order a new motor and were waiting for it to come on the mail. I call on week 3 and they are still waiting for the motor. 4 weeks go by and I call to check on the status again. This time I spoke with a woman (didn’t get her name). When I told her that my vacuum had been gone for a month she was shocked. So she further investigated and told me that the motor was never ordered. Now I’m upset because I’ve been lied to twice. She ordered the motor for me and I got the vacuum back after 6 weeks. I didn’t receive an apology or anything of that nature. To make matters worse my vacuum is still not working. I had to take it to Charlotte NC which is over 2 hours away. Very unprofessional and me and my friends/family will not be using their services any longer.

I dropped my singer off on April 24th. It is June 8th and I still dont have my machine nor am I being updated about it. I talked to the older lady there and she told me she would keep me updated. 2 weeks later and she has not stood true to her word. I am a patient person and I would be okay if they wee keeping me informed. All I know is they ordered my part, singer shipped it 2 days after receiving the order, it was delivered to them on May 5th and that is where I am left. I found all that out in one day and was pleased she worked that hard to get me an answer. If only she wouldve kept her word in locating the missing part and telling me what happened to it.. Hope they give me my machine and money back when I get there so I can take it to a business that understands and values customer service.

I took my machine early yesterday morning. I want you to know how wonderful Sarah and Amy are. They were professional, personable, and very informative. I will even take some lessons with Sarah.
I was there this past Wednesday with Wanda and her Daughter Sharon. We were all looking for an Embroidery Machine for Sharon. I was impressed with the variety of Brother Sewing, Embroidery Machines. They had machines out for the customers to sit down, examine and for the customer to have the availability to sew or embroidery on the machines. The personal attention that Sharon received from the sales personal was wonderful. They took the time to describe the different functions of the machine along with the opportunity to embroidery a design to actually see how good the stitches are when sewn. I was very impressed with the atmosphere, the sales personal and how helpful the sales personal were. The sales personal assist with making sure the customer got the machine that would do what the customer needed.

Great line of products. Great Service. Service prices are fair. The great thing is they know their industry. If you have questions they can answer them. It’s a mom & pop place. The only negative is you smell a lot cigarette smoke when you go in there, but I think it is better. They are really easy to locate and get in and out of in traffic.

My MB-4s was there for 6 weeks. I called several times and finally Amy told me she wanted me to come get it. Said that it was stitching well but needed a cutter. Got home and it is worse than when I took it in. Worst customer service ever.
CUSTOMER SERVICE LEAVES MUCH TO BE DESIRED:In late March 2019, I brought my embroidery machine to HOVSM for repair. when I picked it up, the thing that was supposed to have been repaired was not so I brought the machine back to HOVSM. I spoke with the manufacturer, who told me that I needed to get HOVSM to contact them since my machine was still under warranty for parts. Since the beginning of April, I called HOVSM and emailed them regarding my machine asking if they has reached out to the manufacturer. No one (the repair lady, Amy) ever returned my calls or my emails.May 28, 2019, I called to check on the status of my embroidery machine repair. The lady who answered the phone told me that she had ordered a replacement computer for my machine. I asked when I can expect to have my machine back. I was told that she couldnt answer my question and the lady who is managing my repair is not available. I explained to her that I had been calling and emailing since April and no one ever responded to my emails or calls. She reiterated that the lady who handles my machine repair was not available. I thanked her and ended the call.Today, June 7, 2019 I called to check on the status of my machine, thats been there since April. The lady who answered the call put me on hold then a machine came on that said, the person youre trying to reach. . . I hung up and called right back. A man answered the phone. I told him that Id called to check on the status of my machine and was transferred to voicemail. He responded, we dont have voicemail. I didnt even address that because it really didnt matter. He asked what type of machine I had. I told him, then he put me on hold. When he came back to the phone he said, the lady who handles that is on lunch. I then said, Ive been calling here since April and emailing you all about my machine and I keep getting the same response. He responded, Im Mike Edwards, no need to get in a pissing match with me.I stopped listening after he said, pissing match, then I said, Im not getting in a pissing match with you. Im telling you what has been happening. Ive been calling here since April and emailing. No one has responded to my emails and on one has returned any of my phone calls. Every time I speak with someone, they tell me that the person who works on my machine is not available. For two months, this woman has not been available. No matter what time of day I call there, she is never available. Then he asks my name and number and says that hell look into and call me back. if he calls me back, I will update this review.

Sewing machine not fixed after a month of being at location.
Zero stars would be more appropriate . Took my machine in for a tune up. Was told it will sew like a new one when we finish . Have returned the machine about 6 times because either it would not straight stitch or would not buttonhole and every visit elicited a new excuse why it would not sew . Everything from youve threaded it wrong to the thread type. This machine is an old friend, I know how to use it. The owner was assured that I had used every thread I had and rethreaded the machine multiple times . The most recent excuse is a worn out control that they cannot fix. My question was why this was not addressed on visit number one. I requested a refund and the owner became argumentative. Am told by fellow stitchers that there is a fine repair shop in Murrells Inlet. I highly recommend going there instead.
Got my 2 machines serviced and if its anything like their customer service...I am sure my machines will be running like brand new!

Above and beyond! I took my shampooer to them and they informed me of what the problem was. I was told the part would be ordered and then repaired. After several attempts of trying to get the company( i wont mention the brand) to replace the part, none availed. HOV did not give up, they went above and beyond until the company eventually replaced my shampooer with a brand new one...Whoa!!!Thanks House of Vacuum for you persistence!!!
