I do not recommend using Appliance Service Today. The biggest reason is because they are using national average blue book rates, which for Flagstaff, is far too high. I spoke with another repair service after my experience, and they explained that they do not use blue book rates because it is not reflective of the Flagstaff community. The repair was a simple switch replacement; the part cost about $45, and it took the repair person less than 30 minutes to do the work, but our total bill came to over $300.Beyond that, they did not provide an estimate for services (if they had, I likely would not have had them do the work), nor did they send over the receipt after I paid the (too high) bill. The repair person was very nice, arrived on time, and was easy to work with. I think the issue lies in the policies of the company.

I cant say enough good things about these people. I had a very complex dryer failure, they helped work through an extensive diagnosis process, and when finally it came down to a relay on the control board, the board was no longer available or manufactured. Instead of throwing up their hands and telling me to get a new dryer, they actually found a relay and re-soldered the board for me! They dont just work through a checklist, they critically think it all through and they have the hands-on electrical/board/soldering/mechanical skills to actually repair things. Whether its just picking up parts to fix your dryer or appliance by yourself, or if youre having one of their guys out, I highly recommend these guys!

I dont leave many reviews but my experience with this company left me speechless. My issue was the plastic fan connected to the motor wasnt spinning correctly because the plastic was cracked. The tech came out and told me I needed to replace both the motor and fan. I had another company come install the fan only and they found out the motor was now bad. The motor worked fine before Appliance Service Today took the dryer apart. Its hard to give a good review when another company did the work Appliance Service Today said they couldnt do, (put the fan on the motor), and the motor failed which was working before the unit was taken apart. Now Im out multiple service fees and without a dryer. Very frustrating...In response to the businesss comment:The motor in the dryer was fully functional before your tech disassembled the dryer last week. The tech seemed to be in a hurry because it was late Friday afternoon. Before the tech touched the dryer he told me to replace the fan on the motor he would need to replace the motor too. I said thats not what I was told by another company that came out to diagnose the fan originally. I wasnt going to have him do the work but they were going to charge me for coming out when he hadnt done anything besides walk in my house.Tell you what. I understand these reviews affect a business. Ill remove this review if you would like to refund the diag service fee. I think this would be fair since I told the scheduler what the issue was and if they told me at that time the motor would need to be replaced I wouldnt have scheduled the appointment. Ill also add my experience with the tech who came out in 2019 was positive.

I called yesterday as a new customer and JR arrived this morning promptly at 9:30 after calling at 9:00. He went above and beyond trying to help us as much as he possibly could. He was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Made great recommendations for all our options without a hint of trying to sell us anything. I told him he has a new permanent customer. Great guy.

Came out and look at my wine refrigerator. Paid the service fee, which was high because I live in Williams. They called me a few days later with a quote of over $2000.00. Told me that if the unit was brought into the shop the job would be cheaper. I brought the unit up a flight of stairs and took it to the shop. Got the same quote. Took the unit home and called Russ appliance service. Unit was repaired for under $300.00. Save your money do not use this company.

Dont use this company!! The father and son team came to fix my dishwasher. There service took 5 minutes and said the dishwasher was fixed. I noticed they didnt test it but I figured they knew what they were doing. Shortly after they left I started a cycle and found it was not working. I called their office and shared my concerns with receptionist. She was awful to deal with and patronized me with my complaint. She said they could not come back for another five days. THEY HAD JUST LEFT MY HOUSE! We live 3 minutes from their location. I paid them $80 for 5 minutes and they DID NOT fix my dishwasher. At that point I lost it and made it clear this was not okay. I dont want anybody else to get burned by this company.

I received an email giving me a time of arrival and a photo of my technician. My technician was prompt, courteous and fixed my stove in minutes! He cleaned up and put the stove and furniture back in place.I appreciated the communication from the company and the photo so I knew who to expect! It turned out my technician was the owner of the business!I will use this company again, exclusively. He provided excellent service!

My refrigerator stopped cooling completely, and I was able to quickly book a repair visit. Dalan Simmons was fantastic: he phoned early the day he was scheduled to come to give me a 2-hour window, but also to ask in more detail what was wrong with the fridge. When he arrived, he was very professional and confirmed what he had suspected (I needed a new fridge). He then spent plenty of time answering questions and recommending models he feels are reliable. Dalan was our technician, he came on time and was prompt on updates for when he would be here. He spent 5 minutes looking, just to tell us thats how our refrigerator works and charged us $100. I was not told there would be a service fee for him to just show up and not do anything.

If I could select more than 5 stars, I would. We had them come out several years ago and had a good experience, so went to them again yesterday (6/11/20) and had an even more amazing experience. From the first contact with Amy to schedule an appointment (for the same day!) to the technician, Randy, who came out exactly when they said he would, and called me when he was half hour away, this was customer service at its finest. Randy clearly knew his stuff and explained patiently to me what he was finding. The fridge is working like a champ again at an VERY reasonable cost - I couldnt be more happy - highly recommended!!!!

From the moment I started dealing with this business, I experienced professionalism, courteousness, and very clear communication. I believe it was Jerry I spoke to initially, and he was extremely accommodating, understanding, and willing to work around my schedule. I know this is tough when there are other appointments to make.When Randy came over, he was able to diagnose the problem quickly, continued the professional (and courteous) approach, and I was very satisfied. These are good guys that know their business and respect their clients. Repeat business will be a no-brainer.

$90 to just come out a “look” then they won’t have the parts. Another $100+ for the part(s), and then more. Good luck getting any parts for a reasonable price and quickly. To the person who replies, I know the company has served the area for 30+ years this doesn’t mean anything other than the company might have been good and fair in the past. No, I will not call the business to sort this out. I, as should no one, will not deal with poor companies.

Dalan came out to fix our ice maker. It was easy to schedule online, they called to confirm and the technician called me to give me a time frame. They did exactly what we needed, they were fast and professional, Dalan explained everything to me as well as showed me what was going on with our ice maker. I would recommend this company!

He was courteous and professional and diagnosed my refrigerator and provided honest opinion about the pros and cons of repair versus a new purchase. The service charge was reasonable. Our Appliance Service Today technician, Michael Sanchez hooked our BBQ grill up to natural gas today. Michael arrived with a smile and an excellent can do attitude. He was efficient, friendly and did an excellent job for us. We hope to see him again for any future repairs we may need.

Give them zero stars! is the advice I am getting from an elderly customer. They fixed nothing, wasted her time, lectured her about wanting the refund she was entitled to, then hung up on her. Thats how they treat polite seniors. Would you give money to people like that?They came out to fix a fridge, but misdiagnosed the issue, and charged $89 for the house call plus over $300 + labour for an unnecessary seal replacement. The fridge kept leaking for weeks, and it was only the owners friend who correctly diagnosed a broken water pipe and fixed it for free -it just needed a plug in the line. Appliance Service Today did at least refund the money for the fix, but the owner had a high water bill, and received no refund for the original call-out that caused so much inconvenience.When the elderly owner rang to complain, the company rep lectured her for the best part of five minutes about wanting something for nothing. When she tried to respond he hung up.The company is a disgrace - avoid at all costs.* Response - so if this is incorrect, are you prepared to refund the original $89.00 for the attempted fix that only caused problems?

I scheduled repair with minor parts and routine cleaning of my dish washer and dryer. The technician did an excellent job with the repair but a horrible job with the cleaning. He did not seal the dryer properly and didn’t clean the dishwasher. I didn’t notice these issues until the technician left. I have contacted the company 3 times with promises of a response and have not been called back to resolve the issue.

We use Appliance Service Today for all of the appliance work in our rental property. They have always done excellent work at a fair price, and work hard to make sure everyone is satisfied (us and the tenants). I trust them to get the job done right even though we dont live in the area. Definitely check them out if you need a repair!

I brought my stackable washer/dryer in for repair. I have a cabin in Happy Jack, outside their in-home service territory. Tim and Paul were very helpful and informative as to the process. They diagnosed the problem and called me later in the day with the cause, the time to repair and cost. I made arrangements to pick it up a few weeks later. Tim was great in helping to break it down the way I needed, to transport it in my truck and assemble it at my cabin. I tested it and it ran awesome. I will use them next time.

They have always helped me out with all the repairs or parts I have needed. As for Blazer Bogger you wouldnt take your own eggs to a restaurant and ask them to cook them for you? Getting your own parts then asking a company to install them is WRONG! If you dont like the price go some where else. You are not considering the overhead a company has to pay. It is common to purchase a small part and charge 100% markup so they can bring their truck full of tools and a trained technician to fix something for you. And keep the lights on. You are the worst type of customer. Anyone can get a part, but you dont have the expertise to install it and guarantee the repair even if the part goes bad.You have no right giving a reply about this business. you are a pain for a company trying to stay in business today and offer a service that you need but are trying to get it for nothing.Mark

Dont waste your time and money on this company. They like to collect that service fee just for coming out to look at your Appliance but they never fixed the problem. Staff was unprofessional no people skills. Parts are marked up to high better for you to buy them instead of this company. They never showed up to the first appointment wasted my time I had to reschedule. Read reviews do your search. Im sure Appliance Service Today will respond with they cant find me in your system. Thats what they told me I called to complain manager he talked over me never heard my complaint. Hard to talk to someone who thinks he is right and will not listen.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I call November 27th ( plenty of time before the holidays to make an appointment) (my washer would not drain) for December 4th. My vacation from Hawaii was delayed, so I politely called to reschedule for Friday December 6th. The gentleman on the phone said no problem the technician will be there between 9am to noon. Today, Friday comes along waiting......waiting...noon comes around, I give them a call this rude, unprofessional woman answers and informs me they dont do service calls 25 miles out of town. I worked for 4 years on the west side,( on Kaibab Lane) for tax purposes its 22 miles to my house I know this !!!! Next question to this terrible person was why wasnt I told this the last time I called to reschedule or why wasnt I called at all???? Within the last TWO WEEKS?? This person who has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS informed me, NOT politely that her assistant called me yesterday and left a message. She was there so she knows! HELLO ....THEN IF SOMEONE CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE WHY AM I CALLING NOW?? Any company that does not do customer satisfaction does NOT deserve your money avoid at all cost!!!!!!! I called The Appliance Guy and WOW these people know how to treat customers, very polite, helpful and very great sense of humor made me feel so much better for the holidays!!! Tis the season everyone, please remember its Christmas and if you do not like your job find another one.

Poor customer service. I would not recommend this company even if you are required to use them due to warranty. I waited for 10 days for a service tech to check out my under warranty dryer. In the meantime I was told by Appliance service some day that my order had expired and it was my job to make multiple calls to the Maytag/whirlpool warranty dept to sort it out. Then the company overbooked their tech and I was on hold for 8 hours waiting for a tech to arrive. They ended up working on my machine until 6:30pm. I was originally scheduled 9-noon. Of course I had to pay a service fee of $90. Im incredibly disappointed that I paid this company for service.

Never try to return anything! They were not helpful, ordered the wrong part, and were not very nice at all. We tried returning the part after realizing it was wrong and now they say they will not refund us as it has been installed. Funny, it was never installed as it was wrong and we ended up taking the dishwasher to the dump after giving up. Luckily a friend had one and we got it instead to replace the whole dishwasher. Do not bother with these people, not helpful at all. Not typically a person who leaves a review either but certainly feel the need to today.

They tried to repair our self cleaning oven. Unfortunately, none of their people was able to. My problem was that after spending more than $500.00 on their efforts, the oven still does the same thing. I asked for the owner to give me a call. He did and I asked that he have a look at their billings. I asked if he could adjust the bill a bit to reflect the fact that the oven was still not repaired. He said he would but in the end, did not bother. This kind of service I can do without.

Called about having a propane conversion done on my range. The person I talked to called the manufacturer for me and stated that the parts alone were $46 and installed was $179, which is pretty much the going rate. I called the manufacturer later and purchased the parts direct for $28. This shop charges almost 100% markup on their products. It would be cheaper for you to order any required parts and THEN have them do the work. I wound up using a different service.

My parents were headed out of town when they noticed the leaking freezer on Tuesday, I looked at it and couldnt figure it out by Wednesday morning. I called and they were able to fit me in the next day.The part I really liked was the professionalism of the technician, Dalan. He called earlier in the morning to let me know I was on his list and that he would be there between 9-11. The better part was he told me he would call me back when he was headed my way. I didnt waste my whole morning waiting for him to show up.Dalen was prompt, nice, and explained what he was doing the whole time and was very helpful. It stinks when things leak but they got us up and running the same day and I was happy to pay the service fee... Its cheaper than the warped hardwood floors from a bad leak.Thanks!

My old Kenmore Dryer blew a fuse and they were able to get someone out to fix it quickly, and on top of fixing the fuse they completely cleaned out the dryer and got me taken care of and now the dryer works much better than it previously had!

It took a week after I called for them to send a repairman to our house. The repairman took only 3 minutes to see that our dryer needed a small part. Then he spent 30 minutes digging around in his truck to find this part. Needless to say, he didnt have it. So he left and charged us $80. Said he would come back on Monday and it would be another $100 to put in a small part. Decided to do it myself.

Jerry, I can only imagine what your life must be like dealing with all these unhappy customers but sir, you have problems in your organization and they need to be addressed!I first had a major communication breakdown with my washer that I ended up having the appliance guy fix.Now its my Kitchen Aid refrigerator. I just got off the phone with Jerry Rhienhart and he is not willing to take ANY responsibility for the major communication breakdown between the warranty company and his company. Folks, trust me when I tell you DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS POS COMPANY!!!
